The 19 Best Restaurants in Oklahoma City

"Chef Kevin Lee opened Birdie’s as a fried chicken concept in 2018, but a successful run on Guy Fieri’s Tournament of Champions in 2024 inspired the Food Network veteran to convert his space into a chic, modern Korean steakhouse. Featuring updated Korean classics like bibimbap and tteokbokki to accompany a wagyu-heavy selection of steak, Lee is poised to reach for the stars." - Dave Cathey

Visited for our anniversary and Alex took good care of us. Great shareable small and large plates, and steaks, priced well and was excellent. Chef Kevin stood us up though (just kidding, he was out of town on a private gig). We started with signature cocktails, mangiacotti margarita and dragon slayer, very nice. Moved on to himachi crudo with tomato water topping, sweet potato burrata with gluten free sourdough, and beef tartar. Himachi was perfectly balanced with nice tangy and salty notes while sweet potatoes were nicely sweet with crunch from the skins and creaminess from the burrata. Tartar was chopped just right and seasoned well. Next up was a perfect mid-rare filet and charred onion with lettuce for wraps and 3 sauces, and buttered cheese corn scallops. We added a side of kimchi to round things out. Scallops were soft and perfectly cooked and paired well with the corn, and filet was tender and seasoned well. Finished it up with black sesame creme brulee, creamy and decadent, perfect. A must try, honestly it is a great choice for an anniversary dinner or special event.

Ate here last night for a team outing with my co-workers. The food was exceptional! I had the Salmon and the Shrimp & Grits. We also had sticky ribs and a bunch of other stuff for the whole table. From food to service, this place owes me nothing! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Would've gotten more pics but my phone died 😭. Also ran into a couple Thunder players too. That was pretty neat 💪.

Sadly I didn't capture pictures of all the amazing food we had... I went to Birdies for a business dinner. We ordered the Kimchi pancake appetizer, which was one of the best I've had! The yuzu ranch served with it really makes the dish. For entrees we ordered the tteokbokki and hot stone bibimbap - easily some of my menu favorites!! We might have gone over board on sides since we ordered the corn, carrots, tator tots, AND kimchi!! But, every single one was incredible! The textures and flavors are so well balanced. Finally dessert - we had the black sesame creme brulee and banana pudding with gochujang caramel drizzle. I couldn't believe how good they both were - perfect fusion while still being perfectly comforting. I can't wait to come back and try the galbi!! But the real highlight of the evening was the flawless service. Daijah was incredibly sweet and happy to offer suggestions. She was very timely in checking in on and us. She even predicted our needs before we asked, like bringing us bigger water glasses since we were refilling so often. 10/10 experience for sure!

Every time we are at Birdies, it is such a treat. The service is amazing and the food is absolutely incredible and worth every penny. This last visit was to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we were given an autographed menu and treated to a birthday dessert. They made the evening so incredibly special, made even more so by our server's excellent service and by the privilege of meeting Chef Lee right at our table. This place is definitely one of our favorites! You won't regret the visit!

Google
Not a bad option on the menu. I’d know because we ordered half of it! 🤣 Sticky ribs, Brussels sprouts, and steak are all MUSTS!!! We really liked the daiquiri drink listed on the main cocktail menu. This was my first time ever trying beef tartar, and I am a huge fan now. They give you three sauce options with your steak, and the one with the egg in it was so delicious! Yummmm!!! Definitely a fun date night or special occasion place to try out. Would be so rad if the old chicken could make an appearance on the menu, maybe as a starter small plate? Forever missing the best Korean fried chicken! ❤️ Highly recommend! Had a most excellent experience! Shoutout to our waitress for helping to make my bday extra special.

Atmosphere was fantastic. Moody yet classy, my wife and I went out for the first time without our baby and Birdie’s hit every box. Service was fantastic, our waitress was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and worth every penny. Very impressed and will be back!

Ok. I just want to start by saying..Wow! Me and my wife had a wonderful time together at Birdies. The staff was very accommadating. I will say though the outside of this restaurant does not reflect the inside. So don't judge a book by its cover. The inside has a very relaxing, almost romantic scene to it. And the food was all that we had hoped for. After watching Chef lee, masterfully cooking on tv competitions. We just had to try out his restaurant. So lets talk about the dishes we had. Im a huge kimchi fan. And your pancakes with the yuzu sauce were wonderful! For our main we had the prime filet with a variety of sauces. Including the garlic ginger soy sauce. Very juicy, and cooked perfectly. I highly recommend Birdies. Enjoy!

My girlfriend made reservations for us to celebrate a much exciting achievement. Thank you for making it as great s it was. When we got there this place was already filled. As we walked in we were greeted with a sweet welcome, we sat and were greeted by our server who had knowledge that was not memorized but truly coming from her knowledge of working there. I’ve been in this business for a very long time and this is what keeps people wanting to come here. The concept the set up the menu all the flavor profiles, the texture just everything meshed together and just made sense. We started with off with the sweet potato Burrata which with just looking at it, you knew it was going to be really good. My girlfriend chose the sticky ribs which she says were made perfect. I don’t eat pork because I have a porcine allergy but she seemed to be enjoying. I ordered the Hot Stone BIBIMBAP. Let me tell you it was right on point for me. I got to meet and take a picture with Chef Lee and made my week. Chef you made me want to hit that kitchen asap lol. 10/10 all across the board. You have changed my mind on enjoying a great meal out. Thank you Chef Lee for doing what you do and making amazing dishes.

Yelp
Wish we had taken photos, but Birdie's was absolutely fantastic. Our server was extremely attentive and walked us through the menu. The food was absolutely sensational. We didn't have a single item that was bad, but our highlights were the Rice Cakes, Sticky Ribs and Steak. Also the tots are a great side with the steak. Bring a group of people so you can order and try as many dishes as possible. We will be back!

Yelp
Wow! Everything.... It's such a cozy place. Chef Kevin was out chatting with guests from time to time. Our server, Harper, was lovely. Friendly, kind, quick. And then there's the food. Goodness. We tried the kimchi pancake, tater tots, ginger salmon and spicy ribs. Way too much food but my husband was excited because he wanted to have leftovers. We definitely had leftovers. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Birdie's was a knockout. Wife and I enjoyed the kimchi pancakes and Brussels sprouts as our appetizer dish. Kimchi pancakes made me rethink kimchi and pancakes. We shared the ribeye steak and glazed carrots for dinner. The sauces to accompany the steak were delicious. The black sesame crème brûlée for dessert was the cherry on top. We took home a ton of leftovers. Service was fantastic and the ambiance of the restaurant was infectious.

Yelp
Birdies was an absolute gem this evening! I took my wife and a group of friends here for her birthday, and it was an unforgettable night. This place is perfect for groups because you can order and try the whole menu. They have an incredible selection of flavors. The Brussels sprouts, house salad, filet, bibimbap, and sticky ribs were our favorites. The atmosphere was lovely, and our server, Andrew, was a blast. I can't recommend Birdies enough!

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurant visits of 2024. I was in OK for business in November and couldn't wait to try it. I figured it would be good, but it was amazing. The dining room and bar area were a bit tight, but overall a good space. Service was great, from a guy who worked for Chef Kevin when it was a fried chicken place. This waiter used to wear a chicken suit. You could tell he loved his job. The food was as good as it gets. Priced fairly. Presentation was on point with generous portions. You must get the steak tartare. People can mess this up easily, it was not messed up. Pure delight.

Yelp
The sweet potato burrata was amazing. So much flavor. The wagyu short rib was just okay in my opinion. Our was very fatty- which it may supposed to be that way? Not sure! But overall still giving 5/5 stars. The ambiance was so nice. And the service was good! Our waiter was new when we visited a few weeks ago, and she still did a great job. My favorite thing was the sweet potato burrata for sure. Try it out.

Yelp
First time at Birdies since they changed from the fried chicken resto to this more upscale steakhouse vibe. Interiors nicely decorated. We had a 8pm resy and were seated right on time. The servers were quick and attentive. All of our food was brought out in good timing of each other so there weren't long waiting periods between our small plate and large plate and steak. We got the sweet potato burrata and it was tasty. I enjoyed this dish the most. The cheese corn scallops were good but probably wouldn't get them again. It was exactly as you would expect imo. Bed of corn kernels with seared scallops on top. They were out of the short ribs tonight and had the Denver steak as a sub. Our server said that a lot of customers preferred the Denver steak until they replaced it with the short ribs so we figured we'd try it. Presentation was great, loved that it came with sauces and lettuce wraps. Over all good marinated flavor but as expected with a Denver steak, there were some tough gristle parts. We do want to come again to try the salmon, tteokbokki, and maybe a prime cut steak.

Yelp
The place is on the smaller side, so I totally recommend making a reservation! The food here is phenomenal, full of flavor and nice contrasting textures. Appetizer: - The Korean pancake is light and fluffy on the inside, crisp on the outside, and super savory; and the sauce that is served with it is so creative. Main dish: - Shrimp and grits. The grits were beautifully creamy and delicate. And the shrimp were devained and cooked perfectly. For dessert: - The black sesame creme brulee, which is a must try - creamy, slightly nutty, and all-around perfect end to a great culinary experience.

Yelp
Had a 8pm resy and got there about 10 minutes early. We were sat soon after our reservation time. Great service from start to finish. Food came out quickly and the server was attentive and helpful. We ordered the Burrata to start. The flavors worked surprisingly well together. Very good but not amazing. We may have taken another's review too seriously about it being the best thing ever. The Butter Cheese Corn Scallops were great but even though corn isn't my fave. We were excited to order the Waygu Short Ribs but they didn't have them and had the Denver Steak instead. Turns out that was definitely not as good as everyone said the ribs are. The Denver steak was a little tough but good flavor. Over all we are excited to try more menu items.

Yelp
I didn't get to visit Birdies when it was just fried chicken. So not sure what it looked like on the inside. This new concept is excellent. Love the cozy, classy vibe. The sweet potato burrata that we started with was delicious. Hamachi crudo was just ok, didn't enjoy it as much as most reviewers. Bibimbop was lacking meat. Denver steak is a must have! The crème brûlée was an excellent way to end the meal. I would enjoyed it more if the black sesame flavor was more forward.

Yelp
I. N. C. R. E. D. I. B. L. E!!! Literally everything at Birdie's was incredible!! The small plates were all perfectly shareable a treat for all. I had such a hard time making a decision about what to get as my main entrée, and ended up going with the bibimbap and fell in love!! Everything else looked good, but I'm going to have a hard time picking anything else when I go back, and I will definitely be going back often. I did like that their steaks come with the materials to make lettuce wraps. Our server was so accommodating and had great recommendations for someone like me who just could not decide because everything looked so good. I also loved the cozy feel of the place, perfect for a date night!! 15/10 recommend!!

Yelp
This place is incredible. I wish it hadn't take so long to make it over there. We went early on a Tuesday evening and had no problem getting a table. This place felt cozy and modern and our service from front door to end of meal was spot on. After a cocktail we started with The Sweet Potato Burrata and let me tell you, it is insanely good. Seriously, do yourself a favor and give this dish a try. We also had the Sticky Spicy Ribs, Tteokkboki Rice Cakes and kimchii which were all delicious. The only hiccup was that we ordered two sides of rice not realizing how big they were. It would have been nice to get a heads up that one was probably plenty. We will definitely be back. If I had to chose a last meal before departing earth, it would include that Burrata!

Yelp
Fantastic meal- started with the crudo, delicious and tasty, and very light. Our two mains were bibimap and stick ribs- amazingly good. Pro tip- make a reservation through open table. Good job, Chef!

Yelp
Fried chicken turned steakhouse was such a smart move on Chef Kevin Lee's part. This new restaurant is such a hit and has been a big conversation in a few of my circles. I'd recommend a small plate, large plate, and steak for two people. The scallops are a muuusttt get. Harper, our waitress was so attentive and made sure to get us our food in a timely manner. Side note: if you're wanting to go on a weekend I'd make sure that you make a reservation because they stay busy.

Yelp
The five of us dined on a recent Saturday night. Our eldest son chose it for his birthday dinner. We drove from Tulsa to Edmond just for dinner. (Relevant) We had a 9 pm reservation due to our son working. (Relevant) Our server was very pleasant and friendly. Service was very good throughout our meal. The cocktails were creative and presented in an equally pleasant way. We started with hamachi crudo and steak tartare. Both were very good. We wished he had ordered another tartare! Unfortunately they were out of some starter items we were interested in, especially the sticky ribs. For mains, the table ordered the wagyu ribeye, filet, shrimp and grits, and another hamachi crudo. Sides of steamed rice and tater tots were also ordered. Unfortunately they were out of the salmon and the wagyu strip, our first choices. The steaks were served with a nice sized grilled onion and some very tasty sauces on the side. (Garlic ginger, chimichurri, and a peanut sauce). The steaks were delicious and the sauces were outstanding, especially the garlic ginger. The tater tots were a generous portion and a hit for the table. Shrimp and grits were okay, but they were not my wife's first choice. The shrimp were a nice size and seasoned well. Why 5 stars with the 86'd items? Because what we did eat was very good, and we can tell the quality is there. And the manager made a generous accommodation on our final bill. They have been open since January, have been getting busier and busier, and will get there on food supply planning (what one of the other managers told me before we left). They were very friendly - prices are reasonable, especially for the starters. The meats are appropriately priced for the quality. The wagyu strip, which they were out of, seems to be a very good value. We look forward to returning for more tartare and those sticky ribs!!

Yelp
My girlfriends and I recently made a trip to Birdies by Chef Kevin Lee, and let me tell you, this place delivered beyond our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were transported into a beautifully curated ambiance that set the tone for an unforgettable evening. We decided to go family style and ordered a variety of dishes to share, and every bite was a delight. Out of the small plates, the Brussels sprouts and Kimchi Pancake were the clear winners--so flavorful and perfectly executed. When it came to the large plates, the Sticky Spicy Ribs and Wagyu Steak were absolute standouts. Chef Kevin himself came over to our table to cook the steak, adding a personal touch that made the experience even more special. We also tried the Garlic Ginger Salmon, which was good, though it could have used just a touch more salt. The star of the evening, however, was the HOT STONE BIBIMBAP that Chef Kevin graciously sent over to our table. It was simply phenomenal--each bite bursting with flavor and texture. To top it all off, we had a wonderful waitress named Harper who was so fantastic that we wished she could have joined us for the meal. Her service truly elevated our experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and Chef Kevin's interaction with us, including taking pictures, made us feel like VIPs. We can't wait to return! If you're in the area, don't let the exterior fool you--once you step inside, you'll be in for a culinary treat.

Yelp
Incredible! One of the best kept secrets in Edmond. Beautiful decor and atmosphere. Great service. It's a aKorean style steakhouse with incredible flavors! Super delicious sauce options for your steak. The Bibimbap is one of the best! Great, well balanced cocktails! Hamachi crudo was delish! If you like kimchi, the "lasagna style" presentation is as delicious as it is beautiful! Chef does it again!

Christina T.

Yelp
Great service, ambiance, and food. Favorites are the kim chi pancakes, sweet potato burrata, steak strip, and bibambap. Quick and attentive.

Yelp
I crave food like this! The menu offers Small Plates, Large Plates, Steaks (and more). I wanted something light so the Hamachi Crudo was perfect. The steak is fantastic, served with dipping sauces and lettuce wraps. Large Plate, scallops with corn was out of this world. The bar is full service, dining room is intimate. Chef Kevin Lee is a Food Network star and he may just stop by your table to see what you think. This is a favorite for us!
google avatar

Sacha B.

Yelp
This restaurant is now my favorite in the city for Korean food. Thank you Kevin Lee for showing so much care in your place of business. You came out and asked if everything is good for us and I watched you go from table to table doing the same. I watch your reels on Facebook/Instagram and can tell you love what you do. My visit this time was perfect and food tasted delicious.

Yelp
From the moment you walk in the door, it feels like you are transported out of OK, to a culinary destination place in NYC. The service is phenomenal with great bar service and friendly knowledgeable staff! The restaurant is gorgeous! And the food is unlike anything I have ever had....literally my favorite meal of my life! Chef Lee even came out to say hi and take a pic with us fan girls. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Made reservations on Resy for a party of 3 at 9:15PM. We arrived on time, and was seated promptly. I requested a booth since, I had my 9-yr old son with me. This isn't necessarily a kid-friendly restaurant however, my son is very well-mannered and loves trying new foods so.. we had to take him especially since we are Korean. We ordered the sweet potato burrata, kimchi pancake, dolsot bibimbap, and garlic salmon entree. The bibimbap and kimchi pancakes were the standout dishes. I personally wouldn't order the salmon dish or sweet potato burrata again. They were just okay. The bibimbap and kimchi pancakes tasted authentic with a fusion flare with the sauces and dips. Super yummy, and would come back for these two items. Service was great! We had a woman as our server, and she was amazing! I forgot her name, but she definitely did not seem like she was new. Very fast and efficient service by her. Anyways, can't wait to come back! Glad they changed their concept since,'I didn't prefer their fried chicken place prior to. Hope this place does well!

Yelp
We had a great dining experience. Chef Lee had put some thought and effort into the new concept. The host was pleasant and so was our server. Good table service. Great crafted cocktails. We were pleased with all the food we ordered. My favorite would be the prime strip. The steak was delicious and tender, cooked how we wanted, while the sauces (very inventive) made it even more wonderful. The meat was more grisly than I liked though. Food was on the pricier side but they don't skimp on the portions. Overall, this restaurant has one of the best modern Asian cuisine we have tasted recently.

HungryGirl M.

Yelp
Wonderful! Everything was great. The food was amazing, the cocktails were unique, tasty and just the right amount of strong so you don't feel like you are wasting your money. The brussel sprouts, which our group tries everywhere we go, were fantastic!
google avatar

Ashton S.

Yelp
We showed up for a 6:30 reservation and didn't even get looked at until 6:45. We don't get very many date nights as we have kids so everytime we go out we'd like it to be a good experience. We walked in the atmosphere was full of smoke, smelled like a grill and was so loud we could barely hear each other figure out if we were going to wait or not. I love all his other concepts but this one isn't for me.
google avatar

Candice K.

Yelp
My siblings and I visited for a birthday celebration. It would also be great as a date night spot. We ordered 6-7 different appetizers and entrees to split. All of it came out SO quickly, and every single item we got was top tier. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Mimi N.

Yelp
Went for a date night and birdies did not disappoint. I love the bird wallpaper and lighting that created a warm and inviting vibe. service was attentive and friendly. We are always on the lookout for Korean food in town and chef Lee delivered on the creativity. The brussel sprouts were crisp and has a nice spice from the chili crisp, acid from the yuzu yogurt and sweetness of the gochujang honey. The rice cakes was super addictive with a beefy and savory wagyu ragu. I love the chewy texture of the rice cakes that soak up all the flavor of the sauce. it was different than any other rice cakes I've had. I just wish there was a bit more meat for $22 The sweet potato burrata was really an indulgence of textures and sweetness. It was pretty sweet and rich, so it's like a dessert before our meal. The bibimbap has the crunchy rice at the bottom and a comfort of veggies, meat, rice mixed with the gochujang. We definitely will be back to try out other items on the menu.

Yelp
I can't overstate how incredible our meal at Birdie's was. Three days later, we're still raving about it to everyone we meet and counting down the days until we can go back. From the outside, Birdie's might not look like much, but once you step inside, you're transported. Sweet potato burrata: mind-blowing Sticky ribs: I'm dreaming about them Denver steak: I could eat it every night Carrots: even my boyfriend loved them Tots: an absolute must--Napoleon Dynamite would approve The drinks? Outstanding. We even talked about swinging by just for ribs and a quick drink sometime because they left such an impression. I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Anh L.

Yelp
Wow- Birdie's Korean Steakhouse was a fantastic experience! We made reservations beforehand since we were dining in on Friday night, and the service was wonderful. Also loved the upscale interior! We had the burrata which was hands down probably my favorite dish we tried! The mix of the sweet potato and pomegranates and the honey was divine, and I'm planning on getting this every time. We had the bibimbap which was a solid bibimbap. And we had steak- we ordered the prime strip which was perfect with the 3 sauces it came with. My favorite was the chimichurri but all 3 sauces were really delicious. I'm also counting down the days til we go back!

Yelp
Celebrated a birthday dinner with friends. The drinks food and service among! Such a Great vibe!

Yelp
This restaurant is gorgeous. The food is delicious, and the service is fast. Chef was walking around interacting with every table, all while making sure his dishes were prepared to perfection and sent out in a timely fashion. The cocktails and mocktails were delicious as well. We started with the brussel sprouts (that sauce is killer!) and featured scallop crudo, followed up by the tteokkboki rice cakes (they said they are spicy...they are!) and also the dry aged duck. The rice cakes were packed with flavor and the duck breast was perfectly cooked, perfectly crispy, and paired with kimchi pancakes. We had a great dessert: goguma ice cream, candied gochugaru peanuts, Ube whip, goguma bruñuelo. I don't usually eat a lot of dessert, and I almost polished off the entire thing by myself. Great job, chef. We will be back very soon!
google avatar

Marisela M.

Yelp
Wonderful experience! I loved the vibes and the overall design change of Birdie's. Reservations required unless you find a spot at the bar. The bar tenders were very attentive. We received our food in good timing. Now the FOOD! I started out with the Brussels sprouts and these were the best Brussels I've ever had!! For our entrees, Hot Stoned Bibimbap and the Sticky Spicy Ribs were both delicious! Will be back to try more!!
google avatar

Yelp
We ate here on the 17th and let me just tell you, the food was AMAZING. Super elevated! Our waiter, Alex was the best server ever. Personable and. Knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant was very well set up, lighting was perfect, portion size was perfect for sharing. We also got to visit with Chef Kevin Lee. World renown and award winning!! I challenge everyone to make your reservation!!

Yelp
Great food. Great service. You have to visit several times to experience all the various menu items.

Yelp
Absolutely top notch food and service. We had many dishes shared amongst the 6 of us. Ribs, scallops, sweet potato dish, brussel sprouts, carrots, steak, hot stone bowl, and more. Cannot say enough about the quality and prep. This is real chef-grade chow. Highlights for me personally were the scallops, bruessels, and hot stone bowl. Strangely, line up all the above and steak was last for me. Old fashoined's were good as well. We dropped some coin, but if I went more often, I would focus on hot stone bowl, brussels, and scallops. The latter two some of the best I've had.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my experience here. The bar tender was friendly despite being super busy. My yuzu martini was very nice. Crudo so fresh and flavorful, almost had me back the next evening it was so good! Had to try the bibimbap. Great flavor.. nothing super different than other restaurants I've had this at but was recommended and delicious.
google avatar

Lynn T.

Yelp
Love the ambiance very date vibes with the mini lamps on the table. Ordered couple of drinks, very tasty! Forgot which one I got tho. Ordered the kimchi pancake -crispy and a little too oily for me. But good. Bibimbap- very flavorful my favorite out of all the dishes we ordered. Ttebokki- good but make sure you stir it up to get the sauce and meat on the rice cake. Sticky ribs- crispy and sweet! Steak- cooked to perfection and alll the sauces it came with were so good to dip with! Overall everything was delicious and flavorful! Will come back to try the other dishes
google avatar

Yelp
The food and service here is always amazing. Kevin personally comes by to great every table and check on your experience. The orders are always prepared individually and served family style so it is fresh and fun!

Yelp
Wonderful date night provided by Chef Lee and his welcoming staff. The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful interior. The dark yet luxurious atmosphere sets the tone for any romantic outing. The menu is even more spectacular and allows for a shared meal or individual choosings. We had the pleasure of trying the tartar, sweet potato burrata, kimchi, tteokbokki, and the ribs. Chef Lee has a wonderful spin on Korean flavors. The tartar and burrata stood out amounts the rest and deserve a special highlight. Unfortunately they sold out of the Denver steak we desperately wished to try. This can only be testament of the favorability of this cut.

Yelp
Birdie's by Chef Kevin Lee exceeded our expectations! We dined there for my birthday dinner & the service was impeccable, the food was delicious & the moody space was the perfect vibe for a date night! We ordered the sweet potato burrata, the scallops, the hot stone bibimbap & the black sesame crem brûlée! All were amazing & we cannot wait do dine at Birdie's again!

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a group of friends. Pretty chill environment. Service is a little on the slower side, possibly because our server was new. My favorite dish was the burrata, paired well with grilled sourdough and the pairing of sweet peaches w/ burrata was great! Tator tots were sooo crispy and the sauce we dipped them in was good. Hamachi Crudo had a sauce poured on top and it was really refreshing with the tomatoes. Denver steak was okay. It was similar to a deconstructed lettuce wrap, but the sauces werent my favorite. A little salty and I think I would've preferred it with a normal side. Mocktails we got were pretty and refreshing! Overall great experience, fresh ingredients, and good pairing of flavors.

Yelp
We had reservations for 2 on a Friday night. We were seated quickly after arriving. Ambiance was upscale casual dining. Our hostess was very nice and helpful with menu choices. The drinks were very refreshing. The margarita was my favorite. There was a ton of ice in the cup and little amount of the drink though. We also tried the turmeric drink which was good but you could definitely taste the turmeric so don't get it if you don't like that taste. Appetizers: we started with were the Brussel sprouts and crudo. Both were very good and would recommend. The sauce on the brussel sprouts was perfect. Main courses were the shrimp and grits and the hot stone bibimbab. You can choose for them to stir the bubimbab bowl or you stir it. Both dishes were very good. The gochujang sauce was awesome on the bibimap and I would recommend this one over the shrimp and grits. Overall, we had a good experience. I was a little wary when we arrived after seeing the other reviews but the service was adequate for us. A little on the pricier side but the food was good. We would go back again.

Yelp
The food was incredible! I biggest issue was that I wanted to order all of it. The service was great too.

Yelp
Usually when I go to get a steak at a "fancy" restaurant, I'm often underwhelmed. A nice hunk of beef is good, but I don't ever feel it's elevated. Birdie's was different. The steak had a lovely, salty crust and came with three delicious sauces. It really felt different. Our other plates were also very good (sweet potato burrata and a scallops). The wait staff was friendly and the Dragonslayer himself, Kevin Lee, was on hand to oversee and came around to mingle with some of the guests. My only complaints would be that the tables are a little small and cramped. The decor has a nice, upscale, modern feel. Some of the artwork looks like a kindergartener made it, but overall nice. It's fairly dark inside, but that's a bonus in an Oklahoma summer.

Yelp
OMG, I am currently still here, but the food was so good that I had to leave a review instantly! The place is a calm chill vibe with good music! The staff was very friendly and they had great specials. Met Chef Kevin Lee himself and he was so down to earth! Great Date spot!

Yelp
Came to Birdies for an anniversary dinner and it was amazing! So happy to have a delicious, sophisticated, and modern, fine-dining spin on Asian cuisine in Oklahoma City. It is a steakhouse so be prepared to spend but the price honestly was so worth it. Portions were so big we ended up taking home leftovers. Birdies is very sophisticatedly decorated with great ambiance given off by the dim lights and black, reds, and gold palette colors. Awesome date night vibes Our host and waitress were very welcoming and helpful throughout our dining experience. Food came out promptly with perfect timing between the small plates into large, then steak. We ordered the beef tartar (small plate): Very delicious, the toasted Japanese sourdough bread paired well with the freshness of the tartar. The tartar itself had a buttery sesame taste and was not overpowering. Pickled onions were a very nice compliment For large plates we ordered the hot stone bibimbap and the sticky spicy ribs. Loved both dishes, bibimbap just tasted like any bibimbap I've had and I appreciate that because I know some modern Asian restaurants try to add too much extra things to typical homey Asian dishes like bibimbap. Sticky spicy ribs were my favorite. Tender and cooked to perfect in a yummy sauce. Honestly we could have stopped there because we were getting full and had not even finished but we also ordered the 16oz American Wagyu! Our waitress recommended medium for our temperature so we went with that. Such an amazing piece of steak. Each bite was juicy and cooked to perfection. The sauces that went along with the Wagyu were delicious as well and cuts that over fatty taste that you can sometimes get overpowered by through this type of steak. Last, but not pictured we got the black sesame crème brûlée. That honestly was the best crème brûlée I have ever had in Oklahoma. I love putting that Asian spin on French desserts and chef lee did a fine job with this dessert. Highly recommend this place for date nights or small groups! I love the big portions for a family style dinner and the price is very reasonable for great tasting food!

Yelp
It is entirely possible this was the best meal I've had in Oklahoma City. Every single thing was stellar. Be sure you get a steak so you can try the sauces of glory, add the bibimbap, maybe a side of scallops and call it perfect. Overeat here, you won't regret it.

Yelp
Wow--what an unexpected delight! The place was busy and loud on a Saturday night. It was very busy but our 2-top was ready to go. Seasonal cocktails were lovely (specifically the Club Flourescence, citrusy and bright and perfect for summer), and wait staff explained the menu and portions. We started with the kimchi pancake (so crisp and yummy!) served with yuzu ranch that is creamy and delicious and a house salad--generous portions easily shared. For mains we picked the bibimbap--a bit wet and definitely needs the gochujang served alongside--and the stcky ribs which are 10/10 and had us discussing how to replicate their sweet and spicy glaze at home. We also had to try the black sesame Creme brûlée, though mostly out of curiosity as I wasn't sure I would like it. And I didn't ... I LOVED it. So good, the crisp sugary crust with the black sesame custard is reminiscent of my favorite sesame candy I found when we were in Korea. The chef was in, though we didn't get a chance to shake his hand and thank him for an incredible experience.
