First of all... manage your expectations. This is a very authentic, real mexican experience. If you are looking for fancy and elegant, this may not be for you. However, leave your fancy at home and get out and live a little. If you are looking for an amazing taste of real Mexican, this is it. You'll frequently see locals stop by and enjoy this authentic food. You can see the tortillas made right in front of you on the street. The birrieria is flavorful and the consome is delicious. So stop by this tasty gem. Sit yourself down on a picnic table inside or out and taste some authentic flavor of Mexico.

Very good Birria. Tried tacos dorados the second time there with consome in a cup. I prefer the soft taco still, tortilla oh so freshly made. We had beef (res) both times there. Very friendly staff. Place can get real busy after noon.

I love birria, and it's hard to get where I live. Unfortunately, they didn't have chivo. Apparently, Thurs and Fri are the best days if you want chivo. But the beef birria was pretty good. Great and friendly service. I was the only foreigner which is always a plus in my book. I went back another day for the chivo. Just a note their sign says they open at 8 AM, but they don't really start doing orders until around 8:30.

Delicious birria and soft handmade tortillas. So good! The beef birria is simmered for 10-12 hours and it makes the most tender meat with a delectable broth that has so much depth and flavour! Staff are friendly and do speak English. Loved it!

Located at the intersection of Panama Street and C. Peru one need merely look for picnic tables and a queue to discover Birrieria Liz, a simple space focused on traditional stewed Meats offered as Tacos, Hurraches, Quesadillas or full plates. Offering seats inside and out, a “Cash Only” policy prominently displayed near the painted menu, it is after no more than five minutes that Food is delivered alongside freshly made Tortillas plus condiments, a touch of Citrus brightening Beef or Goat loaded with Chilis while the Consomé is so complex that sips between bites are recommended.
