The atmosphere is soothing and the food is perfect. Our server was kind and gracious, and our entire experience was a pure delight.

The service was great and the food was excellent. I got the Malai Kofta--it was both sweet and savory and delicious. The medium spice had very little kick to it though, but that is my only complaint. It is definitely one of the more chic Indian restaurants I have been in. It was a great experience!!!

great food here! tried the butter chicken and goat chettinad and was very satisfied. my mom says they have the best naan ever.

While the biryani rice tasted decent, this piece of a plastic bag soured the experience for sure. Needless to say, I'll not be recommending this restaurant.

Food and service was excellent. Veggie samosa with mint chutney were perfect, navratan korma was perfect and the gulab jamun was a perfect ending. Will be back for sure

Service was great, but the Butter Chicken dish was mediocre at best. It tasted too similar to the kind I get at HEB that you microwave, and the flavors vanished just as quick. The very plain flavorless rice did not help. Again the staff was nice but that was an abysmal dish for about $16.

I've been to Biryani and Co 4 times in the last 2 months just to be sure my rating stays the same ;) Their chole bhature is to die for!!! I had Malai Kofta there for the first time recently and it was one of the best Indian dishes I've ever had. They even have a little appetizer bar and lots of interesting little desserts for purchase at the checkout area. Service can be a bit slow sometimes but your food tends to come out quickly and FRESH. Would eat there once per week if left to my own devices

Luckily for us, it was not crowded when we went in. Besides having great service the food was great too. We had the chicken biryani, the chicken tikka masala, and some bread. The flavors were great and we loved it all. Medium was not as hot as we thought, but that didn't create any issues for us! It's the best Indian of the neighborhood I found, so get there before others discover it.

We ordered dinner from here tonight and it's some of the best Indian food I've had in Austin. The food was so fresh, meat was tender and the flavors were amazing! It also came piping hot! 10/10 for me!

This place was AMAZING! For my first time having Indian food...I was very impressed. We picked one menu item to share then asked our server to pick us a second. I notice when I have a server pick a dish often times they point out something expensive but our server picked a great dish that was on the cheaper side which makes me feel it was an honest recommendation. The portions were also huge (My boyfriend typically eats an entire pizza by himself) and we didn't finish all the food. The flavors were vibrant and appetizing and. The service was fast and friendly the entire time and when I called ahead. This is a must try and we will definitely be back!! I love that tables are all set when you walk in to give it an extra fancy feel and they are placed upside down on mats to maintain cleanliness standards. In total we paid about $45 and ate out leftover for dinner so price wise this place definitely holds its value. Thank you to the staff for a great meal!

We got the chicken biryani--it was our first time trying this dish but it definitely won't be our last! Wonderful flavor and the chicken was so tender. The spices all come together wonderfully and the rice was perfectly cooked (not mushy and overdone). The people who worked there were so kind and cheerful. We got it to go, but after going inside to pick it up and seeing all the dishes in the window, we definitely want to come back to try at the restaurant. We are excited to come back for seconds!

Should have written a review long ago. This place is a gem. The food is consistently terrific and the staff are just lovely. While I am sure it is busy for lunch, it is usually very chill in the evenings. I feel like the name of the restaurant makes you think it is some kind of Americanized fast food type of establishment. Don't let the name throw you off. Order the chicken dum biryani and/or the kebabs with jeera rice. The food will make your taste buds sing and you will realize that you can take home enough for a big second meal. Very affordable from that standpoint.

My new favorite spot! My family and I love coming here. The customer service is always top tier, and the staff if just so nice overall. We never have to wait long for our food, and the food is always delicious. Definitely recommend.

Disappointing Experience - Veg Biryani Mixed with Non-Veg: I was really looking forward to enjoying a delicious Vijayvada Chicken Biryani at this place, but unfortunately, my experience was ruined when I found peas, carrots, and beans mixed in with the chicken. As someone who specifically orders non-veg biryani, it was disappointing to find veg biryani mixed in. The flavors were also unbalanced and lacked the richness I've come to expect from Vijayvada. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that their dishes are prepared with attention to detail and respect for customers' preferences. Until then, I'll be hesitant to order from here again.

We had an excellent experience there! Very friendly service with great recommendations for vegetarian options. Delicious!

Over the years I've eaten at a few Indian restaurants in Austin. Most have been disappointing or mediocre at best. And several provide Nepalian style recipes, that I personally am not a fan of. Biryani & Co. Is probably the first Austin Indian establishment that I have thoroughly enjoyed. It's a nicely decorated strip center location, but as a foodie I don't really care much what a place looks like, provided it appears clean. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food came super-hot in traditional metal containers that helped the curries stay at serving temperature. We tried the Sag Paneer, Makai Kofta, Eggplant, and Chana Masala. All were spiced (level) as ordered - we like a good amount of kick - and very flavorful and aromatic. Also for the first time I had a chicken biryani without bones, and found the meat surprisingly as tasty as boned versions of this dish. We also enjoyed an onion culcha, and 4 bowls of perfectly prepared basmati rice. My only negative was the gulab jamón we shared for dessert. The pastries were dense and barely warm. I suspect from the fridge and then reheated - clearly not the fresh made delicate "donuts" I'm accustomed to. That said, the server voluntarily accommodated the 4 of us with a gulab jamón for each person, even though a standard order includes only 3 of the pastry balls. All in all, this was a nice authentic meal, so we will be sure to return next time we are in Austin.

This place is my favorite Indian restaurant in Austin. Its around a mile from my apartment so I'm here easily 2-3 times a month. Things I've tried: * chicken tikka masala (duh) * Andhra spicy chicken curry * Chicken Vindaloo * Lamb Saag * Lamb Rogan Josh * and many more... Things I've LOVED: * chicken tikka masala (duh) * Andhra spicy chicken curry * Chicken Vindaloo * Lamb Saag * Lamb Rogan Josh * and many more... No indoor seating! Just get your food and run! (it's the type of meal you want to be on your couch in loose pants for anyways...)

Best tikka masala, korma, and naan (cheese naan!!!)! After eating here, these dishes just don't taste quite right elsewhere. Everything is seasoned richly and i feel like i can taste the care put into their recipes. The staff is also attentive and very sweet! The restaurant space itself is usually low traffic, even during peak hours. It's a nice place to get a sit down meal and have a conversation. Most of their business seems to come from to-go service, which i also recommend. Food is packed securely and i've never had an issue with my order.

We went here the other day and it was really good! We got the biriyani (of course) and I got Chana masala. I did not try the biriyani because my husband got it with chicken but he said it was really good and enjoyed it. They also don't skimp on the portions so that is nice. My Chana masala was made just right and had a good amount of spice to it. The menu also had a bunch of fusion items which looked interesting. We will definitely try this place again because there were so many vegetarian options to choose from! This place is a great choice for vegetarians and ppl that are omnivorous because they have a variety of food!

I was in Austin for the weekend and decided to stop in for lunch. I ordered veggie biryani, samosas, and buttered nan to go. The biryani was so good and flavorful! I ordered no extra spice but I liked that it came with sauce to add a bit more flavoring. The samosas were nice and hot and a decent size. The nan was nice and buttery. Overall this was a great little place to get some Indian food and reasonably priced too. The food was ready within 15 minutes and the overall service when picking up the food was pretty good too. I will be back when I am in the Austin area.

The food was very good! I had the Vijayawada Chicken Biryani, spicy, and loved it. The waitress was also very nice and helped me through the menu (I am relatively new to Indian food). The service was very fast, and ambiance very nice.

Best place in Austin to eat yummy Biryanis, Appetizers, Soup, and Apricot delight is a must try desert All the spices are fresh in Chicken lollipop, Chicken Biryani as well which we tried and. adds up the Indian flavor in all the dishes.

Door dash so can't speak to ambience but the food was not good. Chicken Tikka was alright nothing incredible. Rice was soggy on both the side and in the order of Biryani. The Biryani is mostly rice so kind of pointless if you get that wrong also the chicken that was put in was flash fried before being added to the rice not my preference and ended up soggy with the rice. All the things that make Biryani wonderful and special are missing here. It seems like they spend the least amount of time to make a passable product. I'm never ordering from here again.

We had the lunch special "Chicken Dum Biriyani Platter" with spicy option. It comes with chicken dum biriyani, chef special chicken curry, Chicken 65, naan, desert(Carrot Halwa). Didn't like too much spice on the biriyani, however we had the same biriyani with mild option for to-go: that was great and flavourful. We loved the chef special Chicken curry even though it was very spicy. Nothing special to talk about the chicken 65 and halwa.

We were inbetween Tarka and here, and so glad we chose to try something new! Food was delicious, and the staff were very kind and made sure everything was as we were wanting. Will definitely be back when in Austin again.

I usually order from Tarka but they were closed. So happy Tarka was closed because this place was 10000000x better. I will only be ordering from Biryani&Co from now on. The flavors were insanely good and I loved that I ordered 20mins before they closed and the food was still extremely fresh. I would give this place 20 stars out of 5 if I could! I ordered the veg Samosa, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan!

I picked it up to go so I can't comment on Ambiance but the service was quick and attentive. The food, though, sooooo good! I had the chicken and corn soup, boneless chicken biryani and chicken korma with garlic naan. I'll just say it was plenty of food and the flavor was amazing! I hadn't tried biryani before so I got a recommendation and 10 out of 10 would order again. I would definitely come back again.

An okay India restuarant. Tried their mutton biryani - it was too dry. Their butter chicken was too sweet. It was empty except for just another family on a Friday night. But they were getting a lot of take out orders.

Went here with family and everyone seemed to love it. I got a biryani chicken bowl but it was very heavy on the saffron and too minty for me but that is simply person taste. My families food was all really good however there was a hair on my lime , notified the waiter and he just went and got a replacement lime and didn't say sorry or anything. ‍ A little gross if you ask me. Otherwise it was good

I don't get Indian food these days; I guess it's a geographic constraint. But since I am in Austin today for another reason I decided to try this place. I ordered their lamb Rogan, which is a Kashmiri variation, very tasty. I also ordered the chili Naan. I am definitely looking forward to sampling some other dishes at the next visit. By the way, what they call medium would be plenty spicy for most American taste buds, so think about it as you order

If you're looking for genuinely authentic Indian food, look no further. I came here with my parents and everything is spiced so well and made to perfection. It's generally not busy for dine in and the food comes out relatively fast!

I've only had the biryani here and I think it's par. I ordered the paneer biryani and it's literally just rice and paneer. The masalas for the biryani are delicious but it really doesn't hit the spot when it only contains paneer. No other vegetables like a biryani should have. Chicken one is similar. It feels like they are skimping out on a full biryani experience but charging $$. Too bad because the spices are great. They have the ability to be really good but I don't think I can come back if it's just rice and paneer in a biryani.

I was in the next complex and decided to pickup dinner from here.. since I was right there I walked in to place an order. They turned me away saying I need to place an order online to pickup food .. So strange, they are loosing their business!! I just decided to go next door to pick up food !

been here twice, got a chicken dum biryani, crispy spicy masala corn, and vegetable corn soup! the portions are enough to last me two days. very delicious and the spices aren't too heavy or light. the corn is spicy, which i love. the soup is also sweet and fantastic! never had anything like it. restaurant is in a convenient location (balcones woods shopping center). they just do take-out right now. recommended to a friend who loved their tikka masala!

We were near to this place and I wanted to try biryani here, so we decided to get a to go order of family biryani, thought of getting chicken biryani, I like goat biryani(at home) but in restaurants I usually get chicken biryani as I feel goat mutton in restaurants will be bit chewy side and still need to be done, but my dad doesn't wanted to eat chicken biryani so we ordered goat biryani, it came with small cup of appetizer and a dessert. Biryani, it's a regular Hyderabadi style, it had enough pieces of mutton and surprisingly cooked good, we were 4adults and 1kid, it was enough for all of us, even appetizer and dessert were good too. 4star is only for goat biryani as we haven't tried anything else but will go for dine in and try other items.

YUM, YUM, YUM, YUM, YUM!!! I LOVE Biryani & Co. The service here was great! All of the wait staff was super patient and nice and catered to our needs/questions. The food is super authentic and super delicious. My ONLY complaint is that the naan isn't free haha. But that's me asking for too much I guess. Otherwise, we ordered the chicken massala and it was SO good. ... It was probably the best chicken massala that I have ever had. These people know what they are doing, if you want Indian food, you'd be foolish to go anywhere else in Austin but here!

I ordered malai kofta and my friend ordered boneless chicken biryani. Both were wonderful. The mint sauce they serve with chips was exceptional---the best I've ever tasted. Good service and a pleasant evening.

This little place is absolutely great on my first visit! I was in a bad mood, bored as I had to wait for a meeting, and dropped in almost to pass the time. I have eaten at the location in the South many times, but I do not like to compare restaurants that have more than one location as each stands on its on merit in my opinion. On my visit I ordered the goat combination (note this comes with bones, as I prefer) and it was much better than I expected at the lunch period. It was quite spicy, as I had hoped it would be, the bread hot and the service was on point. The starter items, if you wished, looked not as good by a long shot, but having food sit buffet style can be a bit of a jolt to the senses. I suggest to always order off a menu if possible and in this case I felt I was absolutely correct. I liked that it was not smoky with incense in the restaurant, so I was able to smell what I was eating. Browsing the menu was interesting, and there were a number of things that I want to come back and give them a try. I am usually disappointed in Indian restaurants curry that is served as it is usually adjusted to suit USA style of taste, and that is not what I want. If it passes my curry flavor test (all subjective by me of course), then this will be a place I frequent much more often.

We got chicken tikka, chicken biryani, chicken 65, malai kafta, cheese naan and garlic naan for take out. It's my first time here and this is the best Indian food I've had in Austin. And my Indian food eating experience dates back to 2001, so I know Indian food! Lol. The chicken 65 and chicken tikka are so damn good! And they are a must!!! The chicken biryani was okay. But everything else is fantastic. Next time I will do it all again minus biryani and add extra order of chicken 65 and chicken tikka.

Hot food VERY flavorful, sauces included are all yummy... I got bone in chicken biryani, meat was falling off the bone! I got vegetable samosas, my favorite appetizer, generously stuffed, deep fried puff pastry filled with yummy mixed vegetable, potato and spices. I will be back. Call ahead didn't work, I ordered at the counter and waited inside. I think they do online orders though. They were busy with doordash and uber eats so people can order there too. I like spicy food, the food was perfect and not too spicy for me, the sauces vary from mild to spicy so taste them separately on the side before mixing it in. Leftovers taste great, generous portions. No photos from me this time!

Sorry no pics!! This review is for Door Dash delivery. Can't explain how happy I am to write this. The food that got delivered was hot, super tasty and of good portions. Yes like some say a little on the smaller side for the price but for the quality this was ok to me. Garlic Naan that was crisp and chewy at the same time and actually covered in garlic, not just a couple of flecks of it. Veg Corn Soup - OMG this was so satisfying, reminded me of the wonderful vegetarian soups found at indo chinese restaurants in Mumbai. Paneer chilli was spicy and tangy, paneer tikka masala had the right consistency to coat the naan beautifully. Tarka dal gingery and warming. This is good Indian grub.. go for it you won't be disappointed..

I came to this restaurant with colleagues for lunch. According to the colleagues from India, the food of this restaurant is authentic and very good. I had B6 Hyderabadi Goad Dum Biryani (13.99), it was very good. Tasted Chicken Dum Biryani, and it was delicious as well. For dessert, I tasted Double Ka Meetha my Indian colleague ordered, it was excellent. Lunch comes with soup and salad bar. Everything in the bar was also very good :) 会社の同僚とランチに立ち寄りました。インド人の同僚によると、このレストランはとっても美味しいインド郷土料理なのだとか。 お勧めはチキンかヤギのDum Biryaniだということで、ヤギのDum Biryani ($13.99) を注文してみました。同僚のチキンのも味見させてもらい、デザートのDouble Ka Meetha も味見させてもらいましたが、どれもインドの味、美味しかったです。 スープとサラダバーがついてくるのですが、どれも美味しくて、楽しめました。

My fiancé and I went here for the first time tonight. It's the best Indian cuisine I've ever had. Hands down. Great service, food was hot and super freshly made, portions are very decent and the price is fair. We shared a helping of the Saag Paneer with medium spice. As soon as we took our first bites we both looked at each other like, " This is too good to be true!" The cheese squeaked because it was that fresh. We also shared a Chicken Tikka Masala and the chicken was fresh and piping hot. I was a smidge disappointed with my Garlic Naan as I thought it needed a little more garlic or something. It was still very tasty. I didn't get a chance to eat the regular Naan since after 2 pieces I was getting full. For all that we had, and after tip and no drinks other than water the meal was about $40 which is about on par with everywhere else. I say the portions were a good size so I feel you get your money's worth and then some with the quality of the food. After we finished our meal we got to speak with the owner of the establishment and thanked him. He was super friendly and so were our waiter. We will definitely be back!

Let me start off with saying I hate Indian food. In general, I am afraid of spice, and random pieces of goat bones in my food. However, I walked into this restaurant, and let me tell you all, I am a changed person. Interior: Simple, basic, clean, and friendly servers. Everyone was accommodating. Exterior: you probably missed this place because you saw the "Hooka" or "Poke" sign next to it. The Food: Reminder: I can not have spicy food, and this food is spicy even at mild. However, the flavor is so amazing that I will tolerate it as much as I can. I recommend ordering some Raita ( yogurt sauce) to help balance the spice. I at this point have tried everything on the Menu, and I will say on par with Teji's or better pending on location and time of day. The Must Haves: Chicken Tikka Masala - This is one of the most Flavorful versions I have ever had. The flavor is so good, I don't mind the serious amount of Tums I will have to take afterwards. Butter Chicken: I mean look at the name. It's moist flavorful. I appreciate this restaurant for using real chicken and not pieces of chicken from other dishes and adding the sauce. Chicken is moist. Lamb Korma: It's a good version Saag Paneer: Basically the best creamed spinach you ever will have. Garlic Naan - nice large pieces of garlic not "powder" There are not many "not haves" here, just be prepared for spice and flavor.

Don't eat this type of food much but it smelled good so me and my wife tried it, really enjoyed what we got, butter chicken and I forgot the other one but it was awesome.

We had a large group for a work event and the staff at Biryani & Co. were very easy to work with to arrange this lunch. The food was delicious and everyone loved it - at varying spice levels. The service was perfect as well. Great food, great environment, overwhelming agreement that we'd all be back.

I order the food on line through grub hub. The pokeras where burnt and the biryani was salty and amount of raita to get is a laugh. Save your money and don't order from them

Austin meet awesome Indian food. I was pleased to see so many vegetarian options as well as traditional dishes. They bring you an appetizer that includes chips and chutney. I ate the paneer tikka masala for my entree. I couldn't leave a bit for leftovers. It was that delicious!!! The waitstaff was okay. I preferred the woman who took our payment over the men who had been waiting on us, just not super attentive. I'll definitely be back though for more awesome food.

Update: Got to try the food again since Team ordered food from here..Vijayawada boneless chicken biryani is awesome.. Saag Paneer,egg and paneer biryani was good too. Overall a positive experience.. cut mirchi was yumm! Crispy and slightly spicy like it should be!

The food was good enough but there was a fingernail in my naan. I know mistakes happen but gross. Sadly cannot recommend and won't return.

I like that this place has a bunch of dishes that I don't see at other Indian restaurants. It's clean, and the staff are attentive and friendly. The gobi manchurian was great - super crispy and hot, but not too spicy. The chicken biryani was also good, although I probably like Biryani Pot's more. The Hyderabadi Murgh Masala was probably my favorite dish. Rich and creamy but still had tons of flavor and not too spicy, even though the minimum level was medium. Grandma's Gongura Chicken Curry was also good, a little spicier than the Murgh Masala, but still not that spicy. Overall great food in a nice setting.
