"This Asheville classic has dished out enormous cathead biscuits (named for literally being the size of a cat’s head) for nearly a decade and has two other locations in town. For a classic Southern joint that mainly serves biscuits, gravy, and breakfast sides like grits and fried green tomatoes, the many vegan and gluten-free options also hold their own. There are five different gravies—which you can and should order as a flight—including fried chicken and sweet potato coconut, plus a seasonally-inspired jam and butter bar that may be the most thrilling part of the meal. The lines can be out of control, but this is truly the fluffiest biscuit we’ve encountered, which is impressive considering the only thing Southerners take more seriously than biscuits is butter itself." - Laura Hackett

Google
Hands down, these are some of the best biscuits I've ever had! They're large, fluffy, and incredibly soft on the inside. Biscuit Head is a must visit if you're in the area and craving a fun, lively breakfast spot. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. What truly impressed me was their wide variety of house made jams! They have jam stations where customers can mix and match, trying different flavors on their biscuits. I highly recommend the raspberry, peach rosemary, and mango chili jams; but they're all fantastic! I loved them so much that I bought a few bottles to take home. The restaurant itself is spacious, with seating options for large groups or just a party of two. There's also a charming outdoor patio with picnic-style tables, perfect for a cool spring morning.

Google
The food here is top notch. We got the fried green tomato Benedict, a side of grits and a side of bacon. Plus, they have all of their flavored butters and hot sauces in a little bar that you can try. And you can even buy the hot sauces!!

Google
Had the fried green tomatoes Benny and a megamosa. Everything was delicious. The jam bar was a fun treat. Try the peach rosemary jam. It was definitely our favorite. The bloody was fantastic. My boyfriend could not stop raving about the southern scramble. All in all, a great breakfast spot!

Google
Biscuit Head has acquired a lofty reputation since it opened its doors more than a decade ago, and it was only a matter of time before we ended up here to see if it lived up to the hype. One drawback to said reputation: it gets busy, and it gets loud. Best try to catch them during an off-peak hour and hope that you can snag an open table. That caveat aside, the menu is great. You can keep it simple with a biscuit and your choice of topping, roll the dice with a biscuit sandwich, or step up and take on a gut-busting breakfast platter. There are also sweet dishes and a bar full of complimentary jams. My wife and I went with the biscuit of the day (Korean fried chicken), a biscuit with mushroom gravy, fried green tomatoes, and a side of bacon. The biscuits were good, but if you get them in a sandwich, don’t expect the sandwich to hold together. No matter: forks exist for a reason. The Korean fried chicken included both Korean BBQ sauce and pimento cheese, an interesting fusion of Asian and Southern that somehow worked. The accompanying tots were crispy and addictive, and the mushroom gravy was creamy and rich. The fried green tomatoes were respectable but would have been better topped with pimento. Ultimately, Biscuit Head did not disappoint. The biscuits weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but the food here was still satisfying.

Google
This was my first time visiting this place. I had a feeling from the moment I walked in that I was going to enjoy it. Everyone here is very courteous. The food is great. It's primarily a biscuit place and they have a jam bar 😋 they have signs on the wall stipulating everything is from farm to table. I'm still trying to figure out the cat association. Definitely recommend

Google
An Asheville staple that I’ve been visiting for years. This place is amazing, no matter what you get. Food came out quickly. I love that they have a condiments bar with different jams and butters. Mostly indoor seating with a few tables in the back. You do have to pay for parking in their back lot unfortunately.

Google
Super cute, lively place! The Southern food is super authentic and brings you right home. The variations of biscuits are wide and give so many options. The coffee was also delicious and after you order, there is a mini kiosk called the Jam Bar where you can get free garnishes, like jelly, butter, ketchup, hot sauce, etc. There is also a mini water refreshment area near the drinks. The staff were super timely and kind to us and gave us great recommendations about what to order, especially since it was our first time. Shout out to the staff!! Will definitely come back when we visit Asheville again😊

Google
A really cute little place. The place was packed. You stand in line and order your food and then get a table. I asked a worker if I could get a table while my hubby ordered as I have a bad knee. She was super kind and said absolutely. Service was amazing. Every one was really sweet and had smiles on their faces. One negative thing is you have to pay for parking. $4/ hour but since we did not know how long it would take we paid for 2 hours $8.00. We paid and stayed but will not be visiting this location again as I think people should not have to pay to park when eating in an establishment.

Yelp
Great food. Great vibes. Great people! Loved the selection of jams (food and music lol) Everyone throughly enjoyed their meals. Even tho it was very busy the food was delivered quickly! The biscuits were great but I think the shining star for me was the potatoes lol. If you have the chance definitely stop by! Oh, we tried the drink of the day which was like a lavender lemonade and it was fantastic!

Yelp
Stopped here for a late brunch on New Year's Day on the way home from Dollywood. Their biscuits were literally twice the size of a regular biscuit. Nice & fluffy & just heavenly. I got the half bkft of 2 eggs (easy over) & a biscuit with one side (pimento cheese grits) & a hot chocolate. Pimento cheese grits were delicious & a good complement to my eggs. They have an awesome Jam Bar with a sign that reads "Don't waste it. We work really hard to make it." So apparently they make their own jam. I got a little of the rosemary peach & berry bomb jams. Both were delicious & I ate it all. My dining companions got the full breakfast with scrambled eggs bacon, home fries & biscuit and the Fried Bologna Benedict. The FB Benedict was good but missing the poached egg. The hot chocolate had a nice presentation with the foam & marshmallows but very weak in chocolate flavor. The bathroom was clean and had a small heater which was really nice on this cold windy day. Not sure if I will ever come through West Asheville again, but if I do I would definitely consider stopping again @ the Biscuit Head.

Yelp
Stopped for Sunday brunch just before it got pretty busy on the way back to Raleigh after volunteering for a couple of days with Hurricane Helene clean-up in the Asheville area. This place has been on my list to try for years and I finally went on a last-minute whim after checking out of my hotel. The taste biscuit itself reminded me of my late grandma's biscuits (delicious). I ordered the country ham biscuit w/fried green tomato, cheddar cheese, red eye gravy, and an over easy egg (vs. scrambled) and sat at the bar since I was solo and smaller table space was limited. I think I would have liked plain ol' sausage gravy better with what I got --or I had biscuit envy since I didn't opt for the daily special w/BBQ, Sriracha cole slaw, pimento cheese/jalapeño sauce, etc., but the giant biscuit kept me full for most of the day. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with everybody's barage of questions and explaining things. Looking forward to the next visit (esp. when there isn't a hurricane-induced boil water advisory).

Kerry V.

Yelp
A very interesting cat themed restaurant. These are biscuits on steroids. I ordered the fried green tomato biscuit. Very eclectic pairing of flavors. Bri cheese, I got my eggs fried, and a tomato based sauce. So good. So much food !!!

Catherine W.

Yelp
Food is great, vegetarian options Great jelly bar, good hot coffee, very popular southern breakfast place

Shannette W.

Yelp
First time in Ashville and this place came highly recommended. I'm glad I took the advice to come. I ordered the half breakfast and it was just the right amount of food and for $9 you can't beat that price. My biscuit was soft and the homemade strawberry was chefs kiss lol. It was most definitely the warm cozy breakfast shop I needed on this cold morning. Staff was super nice and friendly and were on top of cleaning and clearing tables.

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Man I really wanted to like this place. The ambiance is cool, has a nice vibe and was pretty busy for lunch. I ordered the Filthy animal, and boy was in disappointed. I don't know what seasoning they used in the chicken but it ruined the whole meal. It was too much like a jerk flavor and tasted like they put the spices in after they had already cooked it. The jalapeno pimento cheese esd also a miss. There wasn't enough of it in the sandwich to even notice. And the bacon of day was Korean bbq and it just did not sit well with this meal. All and all, very disappointing as I was looking forward to coming here.

Amber S.

Yelp
Dude. This place is epic. Crispy bacon, fresh eggs, flaky and buttery biscuits with jams to die for. All the jams, we tried them all. Cute vibe and energy with helpful, cool, friendly staff. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Great decor, fun mugs. Definitely will be back and HIGHLY recommend Biscuit Head to all. Get there early, the line will wrap around the building after 10am!

Sara D.

Yelp
Always love the food here. Choice is abundant and if you can't find something you'll love you aren't hungry. The biscuits are huge so I eat half as savory and save the other half for one of the specialty jams and butter. I love both the flavorful bacon and the sausages. The ambience is Ashevillian! Clean, sweet, simple and easy going. You will love this place for breakfast brunch or lunch. Highly recommend.

Rachel W.

Yelp
I asked for so new utensils and napkins and they were great. They had to work fast and quick to get through the long lines here. We were here around 11pm before the rush. As we waited, we looked around at the cute decorations. The food was what cemented this place in our memory. It was so perfectly balanced and there was a jam bar to adjust the food more to your liking. Worth the $20!

Will X.

Yelp
Biscuit Head was one of my favorite biscuit spots during my trip around Asheville and Charleston. Expected a decent queue in the morning that goes out the door followed but some very flavorful biscuits where what sets it apart was the chicken, sauces, and combination of flavors. I got the Filthy Animal and it delivered in terms of taste and the amount of food you get where you may be ready for a nap after. Service is great and everyone both employees and guests are friendly. Parking lot in the back.

Meri A.

Yelp
Always a treat and must do when we are in Asheville! The biscuits are so big and fluffy and the toppings are amazing. I got some chicken and sweet potato combination that was very tasty and a megamosa, because it was Sunday brunch after all! The dining room is very artsy and the line went quicker than other locations in the past.

Kara W.

Yelp
We weren't even planning on eating here, but we're walking by and saw the huge line running out into the street. We got on Yelp and saw how popular it is, so we hopped in line. The wait really wasn't too bad. Maybe 20 minutes. The Filthy animal was SO good. Very unique. It was a LOT of food and more on the heavy side, but delicious. The eggs Benedict we got was much "lighter", yet still a large portion. I wish the Appalachai had a creamy-er texture. It felt like they used skim milk to me. Overall, we were really impressed with the size and speed of the restaurant. Sitting out back on the porch was really nice as well and much quieter.

Marisa C.

Yelp
I absolutely love biscuits and brunch, so this was the perfect spot for me! The service was quick and friendly. You order your food at the counter, take a number and then choose a seat wherever you like. They have inside seating and outside seating. Since my dog was with me, I chose to sit outside in their heated tent which was comfortable. Overall I'd say their ambiance is laidback and welcoming to all. Now my thoughts on the food. I thought everything was great! I really enjoyed the pimento cheese grits and classic biscuit sandwich. My only small complaints they knocked my review to 4 stairs was that the biscuit was slightly crumbly and dry and the cheese was cold/not melted on the sandwich. The side platter was delicious. Bacon was flavorful, high quality and absolute phenomenal! I highly recommend this spot and when I'm in Asheville again, I'd happily stop by again.

Anna K.

Yelp
Another great southern breakfast experience. They have an assortment of jams and gravy for their biscuits. Try the biscuit donuts - more like donut holes and so fresh. Great assortment of drinks too! I loved the Appalachia!

Krystal G.

Yelp
Here for the weekend! Biscuit French Toast was fabulous! It was like eating a mixture of a biscuit & French toast with the soft moistness of cake Definitely recommend! The scrambled eggs were good & soft, not over cooked. I liked the bacon but wasn't a fan of the sauce on it. It was a Brown Molasses syrup but it had a taste of ketchup & BBQ sauce. The Country Ham Biscuit was good as well. Would go here again for some more Biscuit French Toast and to try other items on the menu

Mike B.

Yelp
Outstanding chicken biscuit at this local favorite spot. The line is long, but it moves reasonably quickly. Order at the counter, they bring the food to your table. It's a eclectic menu of unique combinations, all centered around.... you guessed it.... Biscuits. I stuck with the basics... A chicken biscuit. It's a delicious drop biscuit, fluffy and flaky in the middle, crunchy on the top. It's sliced and stuffed with a nice hunk of breaded deep fried chicken breast. Chicken is perfect, moist and juicy with a crunch to each bite. Slather on a little honey and now you've got yourself a treat. As good a chicken biscuit as you'll find...MUCH better than CFA.

Kristen T.

Yelp
Biscuit Head makes my favorite biscuit in the world and my favorite biscuit sandwich - the filthy animal. I slather it in their house made rosemary peach jam and it is an absolute symphony in my mouth. Every time we visit Asheville we have to stop in at least once. This time, we brought our daughter and she loved it as much as we do, which was heartwarming. The food always flies out of the kitchen and is just delicious. If you haven't been, you're really missing out. They also sell their jams in jars to take home and we always have to grab a couple when we visit - you should, too!

Jen B.

Yelp
While staying at our AirBnB, Biscuit Head was mentioned as a recommendation numerous times in their book. We decided to try it for breakfast. HOLY COW! The portions are giant! The food was delicious, and so was the coffee! It's counter service, so you take care of yourself. The people there were super kind. The place was clean and taken care of.

WarrenAnd L.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Staff very friendly. Not a long wait. Only thing is the parking lot is a nightmare!

Katherine R.

Yelp
I think they make their biscuits with a mix. Because a good biscuit doesn't immediately break down into crumbs; it should flake like pie crust. Not a fan.

Susan L.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Would definitely recommend. My husband had the Filthy Animal, It was so delicious, I had the pulled Pork and it was excellent as well! Do yourself a favor and eat here, I promise you will not be sorry!

Chloe T.

Yelp
I think they may have been having an off day. The best thing in my opinion was the strawberry butter. The pimento cheese grits were just grits with a chunk of pimento cheese thrown in the middle of them. Biscuits and gravy with the sausage gravy just had gravy with chunks of sausage thrown on top, not even mixed it into the gravy. The plain biscuit was decent. The fried chicken was all dark meat, but overcooked and the breading was not very good. Looking at pictures from other peoples orders of fried chicken on other biscuits what I got does not match what I'm seeing another pictures. Service was good and inside the restaurant was cute. I would probably still give this restaurant another try at least one more time.

Madeline J.

Yelp
I was very excited to try this place and whew super overrated. Got the mimosa chicken biscuit. Came with a chicken thigh (I expected a breast and the menu does not specify this is a dark meat sandwich) which was cold and tough to even cut with a fork and knife. Ruined the whole sandwich for me. Slaw was good. Egg was good. The chicken is the star of the show here and it flopped for me. It was slow so maybe food quality goes down in off times.

Kimberly F.

Yelp
We came here on a recommendation and I'm so glad we did! The biscuits are quite large and reminiscent of my grandmothers homemade ones. My husband's biscuit did crumble a bit, but he also cut it in half so...I kept mine whole and didn't have that issue! The bathroom was such a vibe too!! I loved all the cat themed things around the restaurant! I read it was bc the type of biscuit is a "Cat Head"

Amanda G.

Yelp
Placed an online order for in store pick up. The girl at the counter was lovely and told me I could get any of the jelly to go. I also asked her for a cup of ice for our water bottle, and she was so sweet and accommodating. Service was very quick, even though I got there a little early. I ordered the Ya Filthy Animal and a cup of plain coffee. I love that they have Oatmilk for no up charge! The coffee was delicious and fresh, and the biscuit was amazing. The chicken was deliciously crispy and perfectly cooked. The sauce was great and so was the egg. I walked in around 8:05 am for a 8:15 pickup time and they already had quite a few tables seated and eating. Get there early!

Matthew T.

Yelp
Awesome cathead biscuits, creative menu, a JAM BAR, lots of inside and outside seating! Definitely a place you should be eating breakfast or brunch in west Asheville. This is the original location of the three. *Parking hack* Park somewhere else up the street instead of the pay lot behind. There's a big Ingles parking lot nearby.

Demitri L.

Yelp
We went here in town for breakfast off Mount Pisqah where we were camping. It's located on a cute little strip in west Asheville and it has a great playlist and vibe. Everything is displayed as locally sourced, featuring massive biscuits, plenty of coffee options from local coffee farms and a killer jam bar with several flavors. Everyone was so nice there and helpful. Gives a cafe/brunch spot feel that is quick and different. I had the southern scramble. The food is also locally sourced so the eggs were farm fresh, mixed up with pimento cheese, onions and served with a big, warm biscuit. I added the peach rosemary jam to it and it made a killer meal. Paired with the lavender honey hot latte on the cool morning made it a delicious meal. All in all, great little breakfast spot with awesome local sourced food!

Jenna S.

Yelp
I insisted that my party try Biscuit head for breakfast to start our day since I heard such great things from a friend who lived in the area. You start by waiting in line as you make your way into the restaurant, the feel is very diner with tons of fun cat artwork on the walls!! There are menus at the counter or you can get lucky by nice patrons passing the menu back. I decided to try the traditional bacon and egg biscuit with bacon as my side. They hand you a number and you seat wherever there is an open table. I do admit I was nervous as the seats were filled, but the tables were turning over rather quickly and there was seating outside. We were told by multiple employees to try the jam bar! There are so many different varieties i.e. strawberry jam, sweet potato jam and lots of different flavors. My biscuit was fluffy, the eggs and bacon were cooked fresh to order. It was delicious! Especially when paired with the jams. My friend said it was one of the best biscuits he had eaten in his life (he wasn't kidding and I don't blame him). Great experience with yummy food and friendly staff. Stop by and become a biscuit head!

Dwaine C.

Yelp
Expect to wait in line. But tables rotate quickly and it's worth it. This is a breakfast dream place if you like biscuits. They are large and fluffy. My wife got the sausage and gravy biscuits. Huge plate , enough for 2. Wish we had ordered more gravy. They have several options for gravy. Even vegan. I got the filthy animal. It was fried chicken, scrambled eggs , bacon , biscuit and gravy. It was huge and a real meal. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The line moves fast. This is a must breakfast. They have fresh orange juice and many coffee options. A bar with jelly and butter.

Khan K.

Yelp
All the way yess!!! Absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Biscuits are huge. Come hungry. I recommend having a group with you just so you can try all the different biscuits they have. It's a order at the counter and take your number to your seat kind of spot. They were pretty quick and efficient for a busy Sunday morning.

Connor S.

Yelp
This breakfast spot is all the hype and then some. They're always jammed packed but the service is above and beyond and overwhelmingly kind. We were lucky to get a table and enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and the biscuit sandwich. The specialty bacon is something I crave at 2 am and the buttery biscuit melts in my mouth. This place accepts everyone and the environment is amazing.

Jason K.

Yelp
Great food, great service, great ambiance. What note could you want? Very casual breakfast spot. Lots of different Biscuit options. Coffee and drinks are on point. No line while we were here. A bunch of different Biscuit gravies to choose from. The staff was friendly and efficient. Wait for the food was short. Prices are solid. There's parking in back that you pay for. All in all great little local spot

Nisha C.

Yelp
Outstanding! My husband and I visited this biscuit spot after driving 2 hours to Asheville. We were starving and decided to stop by here first before heading to downtown. We stood in a 10 minute line which went by fairly quickly. My husband ordered a sausage gravy type of biscuit, and I ordered a plain biscuit. We also wanted fresh orange juice but they had run out of OJ and gave us grapefruit juice instead (which was good but not too big of a fan of bitter juices). The Jam Bar was AMAZING. Soooo many jam options - my favorite was apple pie. It was so darn delicious. Absolutely recommend! It was such a great brunch meal.

Deania C.

Yelp
We absolutely love biscuit head. It's an hour and a half drive for us from SC to enjoy those epic biscuits! Haywood is definitely our favorite location, but the others are just as good. Service, speed and accuracy, friendliness, food, etc. makes for a pleasant visit at all locations....top notch!

Medalys S.

Yelp
Holy amazing biscuits!!! So warm, for fresh, with the right amount of crisp! I want to eat them ece Biscuit Head did not disappoint! From the cozy environment to the friendly staff and delicious food! Oh...and that Jam Bar was fantastic!!! We ordered The Filthy Animal and boy was it crazy good! It's was smothered in a delicious gravy and we added grilled jalapeño sauce from the jam bar for an extra kick! We also ordered the Full Breakfast with yummy country ham and pimento cheese grits! You can't go wrong with pimento cheese and ham! The caramel latte was perfectly made and we enjoyed the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and lemonade. The establishment was clean and the bathrooms were spotless and adorable! I LOVE the cat theme...no allergies triggered by the way haha! Parking is super convenient, you pay through the ParkMobile app and, per a sign on there counter, they no longer validate. Totally not a big deal for a good time spent and yummy food.

Blair E.

Yelp
Back in Asheville means back to Biscuit Head. While I've normally gone to the Biltmore location, this time I visited the Haywood location. Going on a weekday was also a score as there weren't the lines I'm used to. Once again, I didn't go wrong. I got my typical Country Ham biscuit with fried green tomato and red eye gravy. I haven't ventured to other options because I love this one so much. Add some Sweet Potato Chai and Sour Cherry from the jam bar and I'm sold. Only negative and I'm not affecting my rating as at this Location if you don't find any free parking, the lot is $3.50/hour. Not a surprise since it's downtown, but the Biltmore Location is free. No matter which one you go to, prepare yourself for biscuit goodness

Kelly M.

Yelp
SOOOO GOOD!!! My husband and I shared a gravy flight, which I highly recommend if you're the type that likes to sample several flavor profiles. We also really enjoyed the jam bar to continue our biscuit topping sampling extravaganza. My husband got the mimosa friend chicken biscuit along with the maple bacon latte and loved both. I got the lavender honey latte and it was absolutely perfect! We'll definitely be back!

Devin F.

Yelp
Biscuit head has two locations in Asheville. One is near downtown Asheville and the other near West Asheville/Falconhurst. If you park out front and around the corner the parking is free, however if you park outback then they do charge parking. Overall I thought the food was alright. The biscuit cold, eggs had very little color, pulled pork was alright, the sausage biscuit was great but cold as well. Fairly disappointing experience but would recommend giving it a shot and ordering the biscuits and gravy. Gravy may keep it warmer and add more flavor.

Melanie S.

Yelp
We tried the downtown location two mornings in a row and the line was always out the door..we opted to try the Haywood/west ashville one. The line wasn't quite out the door yet when we got there. We managed to get street parking but saw a lot behind the restaurant thats pay to park. It's a order at the register and they give you a place card with a number/cat and bring out your food. I felt there was a good amount of seating including a patio. Our food came out quickly. I enjoyed the crispness of the home fries and the fluffiness of my scrambled eggs. My favorite was the jam bar and trying out all the flavors....the berry was my favorite... the biscuit was large so you can try a bunch of jams. Definitely would go back as the menu had several items I was interested in trying. We sat by where pickup happened and they seemed to have a great system..I did overhear they were planning to reposition some things....

Lauren T.

Yelp
A place that somehow nails quality, taste, service and efficiency at the same damn time. I love a southern buttermilk biscuit and these are simply the best I've ever had. Expect to wait in line, but the line moves quickly and, despite being packed, there's somehow always a table available by the time you order at the counter and scout out some seats. I don't live in Asheville but it's become a favorite place to visit. Biscuit head is always a must on the itinerary. I've had the bacon egg and cheese biscuit as well as the southern scramble. Both were delicious. One of the best things about this place is the jam bar, with so many yummy jams and spreads to try. I most recently tried the peach rosemary which was a killer combo. If you don't have biscuit head on your agenda, pencil it in now.

Aimee H.

Yelp
We went around 11:30 on a Saturday morning and the line was pretty long as always lol. However, once we were in and sat down, we noticed that the line died down a lot around 12:30-1:00 so would l definitely recommend going around then. The chicken on my mimosa fried chicken biscuit was super tender and juicy! It is also a hefty and heavy portion so I had leftovers enough for a late night snack which was great after heating up in the air fryer haha. The jam bar is the highlight of the experience in my opinion and they have a pretty good selection in pre-packaged cups you can take. My favorite jam was definitely the peach rosemary!

Ju L.

Yelp
Biscuit Head is one of the highly popular spots to brunch at in Ashville. I had read about how packed it could get during the weekend at peak brunch time, but we were there for lunch on a late Friday morning and thankfully it wasn't too bad. We jumped on the line before it got long and probably waited about 10 minutes before placing our orders at the bar. The staff member at the bar took our orders and gave us a table number stand, so someone can find us later to bring us our food when it was ready. The breakfast biscuits we had were just ok. These biscuits are known as cathead biscuits because they are as big as a cat's head. Definitely did not live up to the hype, but their prices were reasonable and the portions were big.

Eric K.

Yelp
Awesome breakfast, great staff, surprisingly positive experience even though they were busy! 5/5

Amy T.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! It's a must-go when I'm in town! The vegan biscuit with sweet potato coconut gravy was heaven. My partner got a real Biscuit with pork sausage gravy and scrambled eggs. He said everything was perfect! We made sure to get a bottle of the "cat scratch" hot sauce to-go. Friendly staff. Cafe style service. Quirky and creative environment with hipster cats on the bathroom wall. Overall, an Asheville staple for good reason!

Carl S.

Yelp
This place is an Asheville iconic... I love that the jam bar is back active again! That's worth the trip by itself. Biscuits are huge and the food prep is great. Coffee is awesome and the food selections give multiple options. If you have to wait in line, it's worth it!!! Cool vibe in the original Biscuit Head location!!!

Britney V.

Yelp
A super cute biscuit diner outside of Asheville! Would definitely recommend going! They have a jam bar with all types of different flavors. If you go I would definitely expect a few minute wait because the line was out the door but definitely worth it. The line did move pretty quickly and it was seat yourself but with plenty of tables it wasn't hard to get a table.

Shiv P.

Yelp
Food: Full Breakfast (3/5) - My two sides I chose were the pulled pork and sriracha slaw. The pulled pork was good, with it not being dry and flavorful I would recommend it be something to order. As for the slaw, I was expecting something different considering the name but to my disappointment it seemed to be plain coleslaw with the smallest hint of spice. Nothing special about the eggs, but the biscuit was on the softer side with the downside of it breaking apart very easily. Filthy Animal with a side of grits (2/5) - Pretty disappointing to say the least. The grits arrived cold and the biscuit seemed to lack flavor. The only thing that really made it enjoyable was the house made jams from the Jam Bar. The biscuit was big in size but as mentioned the biscuit broke apart very easily making it difficult to eat. The biggest thing was the bacon was almost inedible from it being so overcooked and hard to even bite. The staff was friendly. Nothing super special as far as ambiance, the place simply felt a standard breakfast place with you ordering at the counter and someone bringing it to your table. Definitely expected more with all the reviews.

Yelp
a go to spot when visiting Asheville. cat themed inside and just makes me happy! hah! they have their own jelly and jam bar to spice up whatever delicious biscuit you end up with. on weekend mornings there will be a line, but it moves quickly. lots of seating inside and a covered porch outside as well (dog friendly!). staff was super helpful with a takeout order and our food was SOOO good! I got the fried bologna biscuit, hubby got mimosa (?) biscuit i think. Also don't miss the pimento grits... they were the cherry on top!
