"The most impressive thing about this Buford Highway restaurant is how they successfully cram as many cuisines as possible onto their gigantic menu. When you’re craving fluffy pita bread but your partner wants a giant cheeseburger, Bismillah helps you avoid a hangry screaming match. But the Indian food (specifically their amazing curries and biryani) is their naan and butter. While there is seating inside the orange-hued restaurant, it operates primarily as a grab-and-go. Which is fine with us because we love diving into a heaping bowl of saucy butter chicken from the comfort of our couch." - juli horsford, jacinta howard, nina reeder

"Bismillah Cafe on Buford Highway successfully crams as many cuisines as possible into their gigantic menu. Tasty gyros in fluffy pita bread are casually listed next to a giant cheeseburger and a basket of spicy wings. But what should really be stuffed inside your styrofoam takeout container is Indian food. At the order counter, make sure to get our favorite—the mixed biryani with tender chunks of lamb, chicken shawarma, and bright red rice. Nothing here really misses the mark, from the lightly grilled naan to a spicy chatpatti soup that we’d eat no matter the temperature outside. Food Rundown Mixed Biryani The rice is so red, it looks like it would glow in the dark. Chunks of lamb and chicken shawarma are doused in their special green sauce that gives the whole dish a burst of cilantro and mint flavor. Cheeseburger This decently sized burger is pretty standard. The best part is the fresh-tasting green sauce (the same one that’s on the biryani) that’s drizzled on top of the lettuce and tomatoes. Gyro Thin slices of lamb with lettuce sit inside a fluffy pita. It’s not the best gyro you’ll ever have, but it’s solid enough to order again. Butter Chicken This staple of Indian cuisine is a must-order here. Large pieces of chicken are consumed by the thick, creamy sauce. It’s a really good take on a classic dish. Green Sauce You can order extra cups of this magical sauce for only 50 cents. And you should because you’ll want to put it on everything." - Juli Horsford

"Located next to halal grocery Bismillah Super Market on Buford Highway, the adjoining cafe serves up comforting halal and Bangladeshi dishes on the menu. Expect everything from hot wings, gyros, and cheeseburgers to samosas, biriyani, curries, and fuchka soup served here. Try the shawarma and kebab wraps, too." - Eater Staff

"Bismillah Cafe serves up pure comfort food with the Bangladeshi dishes it offers. The counter-service restaurant, located next to its adjoining market, follows halal guidelines. The menu includes samosas, biriyani plates, curries, and chatpati and fuchka soup. There’s even hot wings, gyros, and cheeseburgers and fries on the menu here. Do try the chicken shawarma and kebab wraps, too." - Eater Staff

"Bismillah, a takeout spot at a Bangladeshi grocer on Buford Highway, offers dishes like the braised lamb shank, which is particularly popular."

A great place for Bangladeshi food. The biriyani, chotpoti are all amazing. The lamb shank especially is excellent. The chicken 65 tasted very good but had too much food dye, which is the only downside. We've already visited 3 times and would definitely go the again, the next time we're in Atlanta.

Soo soo good. God bless the chef and the owner. The Friday special lamb shank rost just reminded me of Wedding feast. Shwarma Mix Biriyani (Gyro Lamb ,Chicken Shawarma) is too good with the sauce. Cant get enough of it. 10 wings very tasty. Loved it. Thanks

The picture that comes up from google maps is NOT this restaurant (see MY pic). Idk what happened with the owners of the original location but the tiny shack like restaurant is the one the locals know and trust and where I’ve had mutton for the first time. Just based off the fact that the knockoff restaurant has their picture posted when you click the is enough for me to say I’ll never patronize their establishment. Make sure you’re at THIS one attached to the supermarket!

I forgot to click a pic of the Rice chicken shawarma and chicken tikka curry and Naan ordered last night. The taste of curry was good but rice shawarma was just ok ! Had Fanta Grape after ages which I always liked it !

This is 100% my favorite place to get food in all of Atlanta. The Veggie Wrap (my favorite dish) and the Veg Fried Rice have insane flavor profiles, and the portion sizes are incredible for the prices. I'll also stop by the nearby airport to watch planes land and take off while I'm eating - I tell everyone to come here at least once for the food and experience!

Food was absolutely delish!!!!!! Would definitely eat here again. Especially with reasonable prices. This is my second time eating Indian cuisine but first time eating it authentic🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽.

One of the worst Desi halal restaurants I have ever tried in Atlanta. This place is was a big deception the food is tasteless blunt. We ordred chicken Tikka masala which tasted like chicken broth literally, side salad is not fresh (almost yellow), white rice is not fresh either. They only serve pita bread out of bags and heat in front of you! No fresh roti, naan or paratha. Hygiene is not respected, none of th kitchen employee is covering his hair including the chef itself and health county inspection needs to happen there. service is mediocre ( they never ask after ordering if you want anything or ask if the food is ok ?!) Short story if you love Desi/ Indian food avoid this place for all the reasons listed above! I will never be back there again for sure. Pls refer to attached photos!
