Everything was perfect! We have eaten here many times over the last few years, and every meal is an utter delight--from the complimentary amuse-bouche, to the 8 different kinds of butter, all the way to the scrumptious dessert. It is also very easy to make reservations online.

We had a delicious meal here, butter and bread is fantastic as a few posters have mentioned. Lady that served us was very nice...attentive enough without being intrusive. Relaxed feeling restaurant, looks very cool only suffered from lack of customers on the night we were there (Tuesday) which is a shame as people are missing out on some lovely food. Not cheap but a good quality dining experience

This restaurant has some of the finest ingredients and most skillful preparations we’ve experienced in France, yet unfortunately, it also has some of the poorest service. They genuinely showcase Brittany ingredients, employ sophisticated culinary techniques, and provide generous portions. However, the service team exudes an attitude suggesting they’d rather you weren’t there, especially if you’re a foreigner, in which case you may feel you’re significantly inconveniencing them. Saint-Malo may not be the most international tourist destination, but given the quality of their food, one would still expect more welcoming and respectful service. After all, food is meant to be the language of love. I sincerely hope they address the service issue, as it’s currently undermining their excellent culinary offerings.

Unbelievable degustation of beautifully made butter! The Mt. Saint-Michel lamb menu was fabulous, it was super tender and juicy. Overall service and atmosphere were top-notch, we couldn't be happier. Amazing experience!

Amazing experience, on arrival we were served an amuse bouche then bread with a selection of butters, the server explained what they all were, I had scallops , seabass and chocolate souffle, my husband had mushroom ravioli, Lamb and Hazelnut balls, every course was so nice with fantastic flavours, a really enjoyable experience.

If you love Beurre Bordier, you must experience this. The food is exceptional, every course, and of course highlighting the butter - but fantastic beyond that.

Definitely worth to eat there to try their 8 butters platter! Delicious food for 28 euros for 3 course. Very good wine but a bit expensive. The service wasn't very good, they need to improve it.

Excellent experience. Went once for lunch which was a great deal at a very reasonable price. Decided to go back for dinner to enjoy the full experience. We were not disappointed. Dishes very tasty and beautifully arranged. Friendly service. The butter tasting with eight different kinds of butter is a nice touch.

Yelp
Autour de Beurre is a restaurant designed to showcase the butter creations (yes, butter creations!) of Jean-Yves Bordier. Basically, this is a butter-centric restaurant. It had to be good, right? And it was! The atmosphere was super-cosy, warm and inviting. And the food was even better. It's a small little bistro so we were a little cramped, but it was worth it. We ordered a lobster lunch, which highlighted the different parts of the lobster paired with different variations of Bordier's butter. It was damned good. And we washed it down with a bottle of wine. I could get used to lunches like this! Later in the day we came back to Bordier's butter store (it was closed after lunch because, uh, this is coastal France and things just close in the afternoon). I highly recommend this store. I wish we could have brought back lots and lots and lots of butter but was we know, butter doesn't travel well in a suitcase. But the store had lots of other stuff to offer, including an amazing (albeit small) museum of BUTTER! Seriously! It was really cool. If you're ever in Saint-Malo, don't miss this!
