"This restaurant with a spartan interior opened in spring 2024, brimming with energy and optimism. Head chef Isak Oldenburg, who used to run his own restaurants in Nice, France, turns out French classics like quiche lorraine, bouillabaisse, canard á l’orange, and tarte flambee. Other items bring broader influences, like tom kah gai (coconut soup), Reuben sandwiches, and dhal, and there are some iconic Swedish dishes like salted cod with poached egg and salmon pudding with dill and clarified butter. The kitchen generally purchases whole animals, so expect to see offal." - Per Styregård

We had an absolutely fantastic evening at Bacchanale! From the moment we arrived, everything lived up to the hype - the food, the service, the wine, and the decor were all impeccable. The atmosphere is cozy yet sophisticated, making it a perfect spot for a prefect date night. Here’s what we tried: • Fromage de Tête (195 SEK) • Anklever (225 SEK) • Tartar (220 SEK) • Kåldolme (250 SEK) • Knivmusslor (Razor Clams, 220 SEK) • Röding (Arctic Char, 250 SEK) • J-Y Millaire Glass (170 SEK) • Domaine Oudart Glass (3 glasses, 420 SEK) • Fikonbladsglass (Fig Leaf Ice Cream, 125 SEK) Every dish was great, but our absolute favorites were the Röding and Kåldolme—perfectly executed and absolutely delicious. The wine selection was excellent, and the staff were knowledgeable and attentive, helping us choose pairings that perfectly complemented the meal.

I would highly recommend Bistro Bacchanale! They clearly take great pride and care in crafting dishes with quality ingredients whose flavors complement each other! All this while creating a laid back and accepting atmosphere with friendly and open staff! The perfect spot to share many different plates from the menu over a nice glass of wine.

Rating it 4, but it is a strong 3.5. Shared 3 dishes and 1 dessert and felt 65% full, so the portions are not that big (though seem that on photos). The best dish was the tarte tatin and the 2nd best is quail. All of the dishes had one major issue: they are oversalted, and the monkfish was extremely oversalted (besides being slightly undone), I bet some people wouldn’t be able to eat it. Another big issue is that food is lukewarm and polenta was even cold in some places. The atmosphere is amazing as well as the service. The wine list and wines by the glass are top notch! So it really is a shame that food doesn’t live up to that. And of course, the team should add at least one more vegetarian dish to the menu.

Bacchanale marries indulgence with a laid-back atmosphere. The menu teases with dishes both inventive and comforting, encouraging diners to surrender to the joys of a well-prepared meal without the stiffness often found in upscale places. Here, the service is friendly and pleasant it’s a toast to the delights of the table with a hint of hedonism.

Exceptional dishes all around. Be sure to try the foie gras, lobster roll, and the quail—absolute must-haves!

Google
Really nice place, rating it three stars but strong ones, almost a four star. The food is good with some really interesting combinations but the portions are too small for the prices and it’s a bit bland. They recommend to share which is nice, we had 4 dishes for two persons which was too little, would say 6-7 is more accurate. Staff is great and the facility is nice as well.

Brilliant professional relaxed service. Flawless classic and innovative dishes cooked to perfection, clearly absolutely top level ingredients. Large constantly changing menu. Great wine selection.
