5 Best Day Trips From Montreal: Québec City, Ottawa, the Eastern Townships, Mont Tremblant, and Hudson | Condé Nast Traveler

"Bistro Kapzak is all about Polish comfort food. Chef and owner Jason Kacprzak mixes Québécois ingredients with a traditional approach to Polish home cooking, with his menu ranging from classic dishes like toothsome potato pierogies, smoked sturgeon served with zingy citrus chutney, butter-poached cod, and smoked kielbasa—to more typically French-Canadian dishes prepared with his inimitable twist. A plateful of crusted veal, for example, is served with herbaceous green spätzle; a braised duck breast is infused with local honey and beer." - Todd Plummer, Isa Tousignant

We had an absolutely amazing meal here at this husband and wife owned establishment. These folks are real foodies and clearly understand flavors and drink pairings to compliment foods. The dishes are fresh, unique, and inspired with many ingredients coming directly from the home garden. Can not recommend this place enough and we can’t wait to go back.

This was a delightful experience all around. The service was friendly and efficient. The meals had beautiful polish roots with a very nice use of local ingredients. The chef is obviously very inventive, but has a healthy respect for tradition. For a modern take on some great polish classic, do yourself a favour and stop by for a meal. Make reservations.

A great place to be if you are looking for an elevated dining experience. Prices are reasonable considering the chef’s skills and services we had. Just by tasting the first dish (amazing blood sausage with cabbage sauce), I know food here are just not “food”, a lot of thoughts are putting into combining ingredients, creating texture, and the use of interesting culinary skills to create the best/most thoughtful dishes. One of the best dining experience I have in Quebec (and I have been to many!). Kudos to the chef’s skills and the amazing servers that took care of us! Will come back again next time in Granby! ❤️

Service was great and the food was delicious. We particularly loved the scallop tartar!! Supposedly they're known for their cocktails, so we of course ordered the Smokey old fashioned. It was honestly delicious and well - balanced.

This was a very enjoyable evening, where everything was spot on From the greeting to our departure, service was on point, very warm without being intrusive. The cocktails were generous and well dosed, and the food was perfect. Everything worked together. Nothing was plated just for show, every ingredient was playing a role. Kudos to the chef! Do yourself a favor, make a reservation, and enjoy your evening out...

The worst restaurant I ever seen. Rude, agresiv , disrespectful owner. There were bout 10 of us , and we all were miscalculated. The owner did wish to explain the bill. The food no one of us was impressed but that is an other issue .

Good Atmosphere and good food This is a polish themed restaurant, though there appears to be some dishes that were adapted (such as a hamburger with a Polish flair). I had the Spazle and found it very good. I understand that the bar tender is known for his concoctions, though I didn't try them. The deserts have a bit of pizazz, too, with chocolate cream wraps made to look like cigars. The atmosphere is good. Importantly, it is one of the few restaurants open on Tuesdays.

5 Stars cuz i cant give more but if i Could give 10 i would!!!! I drove 1h from Mtl to eat here and they didnt disappoint... Everything is very refined and dishes are as beautiful as they are delicious... Read the menu i cant go through all of it but i promise everything is Phenomenal....This is LIKE a 3 star Michelin Resto all day long....P.S Canada has No Michelin Star Restos....Ya so we don't eat on 1000$ Table Cloths and don't have stuck up waiters names Jean Pierre who look at your shoes be4 they talk to you if thats what Michelin is France can keep the Stars....Im inventing a new scale just for Canadian Restaurants called.. Northern Lights.. If Chuck Huges is a 5 N.Lights...Then Jason Kacpzack is a 4 N.Lights working toward a 5 very soon ....They have a pretty good wine list Their deserts are really Good..Try the Cigar its actally served in an ashtray with Hay Ice Cream....Need i say More....
