One of my favorite places for a chill dinner in the neighborhood. This is a perfect place to sit on the front patio, get a glass of wine and people watch. If I go here for brunch, I feel like I could sit there all day! The staff if really friendly and, in true European dining form, they don't force you out of the restaurant or try and turn your table around quickly. I would say the best mussels on Wells street and their Bistrot salad is to die for as well!

Was looking for a place to grab brunch with my girlfriend yesterday. Lines and long wait times in most of the usual places on Wells St, but this place had no wait. Sat down outside under a nice, big umbrella, with flowers along the outside railing. Server was very nice, and food was delicious. I had the apple cinnamon french toast, which was amazing. The only thing I was a little dissatisfied with at this place was that no one ever came by to refill my water during the meal, which is something I think is pretty standard practice at a majority of sit-down restaurants.

This Old Town restaurant is usually very crowded for lunch and dinner but I enjoy breakfast at Bistrot Margot the most. The brunch menu is great and I really like the french toast. Outdoor patio is really nice for warmer weather. Steak frites for dinner is a good dish

My daughter and I were looking fpr a place to have dinner before a Second City show. We happened upon Bistrot Margot. The menu looked reasonably priced and the offerings looked delicious. As soon as we walked in we knew had made the right choice. The aromas were fabulous, the atmosphere was elegantly casual. We had a hard time choosing our entrees because everything looked enticing. We shared steak frittes and pork tenderloin. They were both prepared very well. It was a memorable meal!!

French Deliciousness! I was here with a group of young women for a bachelorette dinner. The main floor feels a bit like you're typical old-school Chicago bar with its brick walls, but go upstairs. The white walls and airy atmosphere will make you forget Chicago and truly make you believe you're possibly above the Champs-Élysées. On top of it all the service is impeccable. Like every restaurant I just want to rant about their entire menu, Bistro Margot is no different. The entrees are pricey, but delicious and delicately prepared. They have a variety of meats, from Veal, to Duck, to various types of fish. I've also perused their brunch menu, another reason for everyone to check this place out.

This is a place that my Wife and I go to for anniversaries, birthdays, and such. It's "special" without being over-bearing, and is very reasonable (especially if you use one of the "deal" sites' certificates). You are not likely to leave there raving about having had the most remarkable meal in your life, but the food is very good, and dead on "French bistro". I've never had anything "bad" there, and have had some wonderful dishes. If they have a "Forestiere" sauce on the menu when you're there, do get that, as it's one of the best I've had (it may just be on specials, as I don't recall anything featuring it when we were last there).

Had an amazing brunch at Bistrot Margot last weekend, no wait and great attentive service. The food was delicious, every plate brought out looked better the next. They have some truly unique menu items and I can't wait to come back and try more.

yes, its a pretty strong A-ok. We went there for brunch and it wasnt a super french experience to be honest- yes Ive been to France. The food was pretty americanied, but thats still good food in my book. Large portions, but you are able to finish the food. Drinks are not the greatest. Place is rather loud though
