On the Grid : Bitondo's Pizzeria

"Virtually unchanged since it opened over 50 years ago, Bitondo’s is one of the few remaining hallmarks of the original Little Italy. You will never find anything there that’s not fresh - its heavenly food comes out of the oven very frequently. (When you ask to order things they'll tell you to just ask for it when you walk in.) Honestly, we’re not even big on pepperoni but there’s just something magical about how they make their pies - a slice is $3.50 and will make you ponder why you even went to one of the pizzeria chains that litter College St. If you’re lucky, there’ll be a fresh batch of panzos (a more portable pizza folded in half) and your choice of sandwiches. $10 buys you a lot of food, a full stomach, and a warmed heart. Must eats: Pepperoni Pizza, Cheese Panzo, Meatball Sandwich with Hot Sauce and Sweet Peppers." - Sid Lee

Just really good pizza. We have been wanting to visit for quite some time and we’re so glad to finally get some Bitondo pizza. It’s great value, it’s cheesy, it’s delicious. The vibe inside is really relaxed and honestly just a nice place to sit and enjoy a slice. I imagine we will be making many more stops here in the future. Heads up, cash only!

Google
Batondo’s Pizza is a true classic and a staple of the West end of Toronto. The pizza is consistently delicious, with that perfect crust and sauce that keeps you coming back. I even have a drawing of Batondo’s on my wall at home. Five stars, no question. Panzerotti is to die for, great sauce and grilled cheese! The atmosphere has an old-school charm, and every visit feels like stepping into a piece of local history. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out on one of the city’s great pizza spots.

Google
Authentic neighbourhood Italian pizza. Great value, as the pizza's are under $20 for a medium. Nothing crazy from a taste perspective to write home about, but still a great experience. Update: the panzerotti is the way to go.

Google
Great pizza, you will enjoy Bitondos if you like a cheesy/ sauce za. The ingredients are fresh & crust holds together well (is not too crispy or flimsy). Reasonably priced & good portion (picture below is a small)

Was working in the area today after checking reviews I had to try. Pizza was good but service was even better . Thank you Rosa . They also have a dog bowl out front with water.

I work around the corner and grab a slice whenever I can, i absolutely love this place! The staff are amazing and they are really quick with getting slices ready! The slices are a great portion and will have you satisfied, if you’re looking for a quick lunch or family dinner, Bitondo is the place! They only take cash but you can order pickup/delivery through Uber Eats- this is what I usually do.

Google
Definitely a 5/5, super fresh panzo with high quality ingredients. Having tried many across the province, I didn't think this one particularly stood out in any specific aspect. It is a little overhyped, with people saying it's the best panzerotti in Toronto. But it's still really good!

Lisa S

Google
We ordered a large pizza, 3 toppings and one pepperoni and cheese panzerotti and it came to $46. We picked it up, so I’m not sure why it was so expensive. The panzerotti was good but a lot of cheese. The pizza was pretty good too.

Yelp
I read somewhere recently how good Bitondo's panzerottos are so decided to head there yesterday for lunch (I've only had their slices over the years). They only had cheese ones available so I had a pepperoni one made. It took about 20 minutes but was worth the wait. It was hot and cheesy and saucy and messy. Yum!

Yelp
Here, it's not just about pizza; it's about reliving the cherished memories of old-school pizzeria charm. Each bite is a flashback to simpler times, where the focus was on the joy of a good slice. No frills, no gimmicks, just the classic pizza experience - period. Bitondo's is where you go to savor not just the flavors of a well-crafted pizza but also the warmth of a bygone era.

Yelp
Visited this historic little pizza diner in a cool neighbourhood off College Street and all I had was the cheese panzerotto. Hot damn! That was some tasty, supremely cheesy and saucy goodness right there. Filling, too. Warning: cash only.
google avatar

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
If you're hungry, a panzerotti from Bitondo's is one of the most comforting choices Toronto has you offer. Affordable, hugely satisfying, and always leaves ya feelin warm and fuzzy. If there's a line, it's well worth the wait.

Yelp
The best classic 90s pizza from my childhood. Fresh tomato sauce, greasy pully full fat mozzarella cheese, and chewy crust. And the ambiance is also right out of the late 80s My favorite childhood pizza at very affordable prices. Enjoy!!!

Stephen B.

Yelp
Especially when just popping out of the oven, this pizza is beyond all praise! My favourite stop in Toronto for a fast slice and even if it needs a minute or two of oven refresh, it's always epic.
google avatar

Yelp
This family run hit of a hidden jewel is amazing. Their pizza is made with love and you can taste it. Always well done on the bottom and the cheese is the perfect amount no matter what you order. Their panzerottis are a little on the oily side and it's not my favourite but they're still very good. In my books it's the second best place in the city for a saucy, proportionate and delicious veal sandwich. The spot itself is nothing special but that's what makes it special. It's old school and they put their thoughts and effort into the food as opposed to trendy places that make it all about the 'ambience' and forget that, that doesn't matter. Definitely a place to hit up if you're looking for a good slice and a good time as the staff is so nice!
google avatar

Nelo L.

Yelp
Taste just like when I was a kid, fresh ingredients great prices and staff, veal sandwich is fresh and the bread is perfect, pizza crust stands on its own soft but firm and the sauce is perfect. Place is a time warp looks exactly how I remember. A perfect little place that is cash only but always fresh and clean. Also quick friendly service.

Laurel P.

Yelp
My favourite spot for a quick slice! Absolutely perfect pizza, not too greasy not too cheesy not too saucy, just perfect + the staff are so sweet
google avatar

Venezia V.

Yelp
The shop is a small hole in the wall but it's been there for so many years so it's a little run down. Not that any of that matters because the pizza is so good and the panzerotti is to die for!

Yelp
Found this cute little place just off college and Clinton, and couldn't help but to try it out. It's a friendly mom and pop shop, with raving reviews from the community.

Yelp
It pains me to update this review to any less than 5 stars but Bitondo's is going through a rough patch right now and there's no sugar coating it... I'm rounding up to 3 stars out of pity but really, they're hovering at around 2.5 right now. My Dad doesn't live in Toronto anymore, and it was tradition that every time he visited me he'd get a slice, or even a full pizza, from his beloved Bitondo's to take back home. The past maybe half-dozen times, he's noticed the pizza hasn't been as good. One time it was burnt, uneven crust, not enough cheese, etc. He remembers when Bitondo's first opened. Grew up in the area. Went to school at Grace (now Pierre Elliott Trudeau) and has such fond memories of this pizza joint. He was so sad to finally admit that this place had changed for the worse. We just got home from the cottage with no time to cook supper for our hungry kids and ordered a large pepperoni, mushroom and green pepper, 2 garlic dipping sauces and a ponzo on the side. They quoted us 45 minutes (!) which I can look past -- they've only got one oven and they're a busy place. But honestly, the pizza is *just* cooked enough, not sliced properly, and the order came to $32. I gave my husband $30 thinking that'd be more than enough but he had to scrounge for change in the car when he got there and they told him the total. The pizza had wax paper all stuck to the bottom that we had to peel off each slice and just wasn't that good. Like chain pizza would have been just as good, at a fraction of the cost. In fact, my husband said it tasted like Pizza Pizza. Ugh. The ponzo was also *just* cooked enough and smaller than we remember it being in the past. Such a shame. We want the old Bitondo's back!

Yelp
food great service amazing love this place i go once or twice a month and it never disappoints

Yelp
Bitondo's is no bullshit. None at all. It's a house that's converted into a pizza spot, and I bet if they ever sold it would get renovated right away because you're literally walking into brown when you open the doors. The walls are brown, the ceiling is brown, the floor is brown, and it's got the most OG menu board that is probably older than me. It's beautiful. The pizza is one of the reasons I came here and I still go here. It's so simple. It reminds me of pizza days in elementary, when all I had to think about is if I could swing another slice after I'm done my first one. My go to is the pepperoni, simply because it's perfect in my eyes. First, the price. $3.50 for happiness? I'll take one, please. The crust is thin, but not paper thin that it falls like a wasteman when you pick it up, it's got that NYC fold, but not that NYC drip. Chewy and firm. The sauce is simple, the cheese is cheesy. The pepperoni is a little greasy, a little salty. It's just simple man, and there's not one thing that jumps out where I can tell you that's the reason. It's the whole package. The panzos are the second reason I come here. In my eyes, just as legendary as the pizza. Who knew a fried pillow of dough would be hard to photograph. Not me. Again, this is so fucking simple it hurts. They stuff dough with cheese and sauce, they fry it, and they give it to you. They're always soft and fluffy no matter when you go in, which is a good sign that they keep having to make new ones. The dough is fried golden but not over fried that it's greasy. It's chewy when you pull, so you're confident that the thing won't fall apart in your hands. The sauce is simple and the cheese is cheesy. There's a lot of sauce and a lot of cheese, and you should get the sauce on the side too. You bite into this thing and it's a fountain of cheese and tomato. I wish every fountain was like this. In a world full of mega 50 topping pizzas and new extravagant crust options that are shit and never interest me I tend to fall back on what I know. I love pizza for the simple fact that it is exactly that. Simple. Dough, sauce, cheese, meat. That's all I really want, and Bitondo's has been giving me that consistency for a long time now.

Yelp
Bitondos pizza is horrible these days. I've had better frozen McCain pizzas than what Bitondos is serving up right now. 3/10

Yelp
BEST PIZZA. In Toronto! So good and so cheap as well! Loveee this place so much! Gem

Yelp
I would give a zero if I could .. they use to have the best panzorotti back in the day and even up to a few years ago.. they must have changed their mozzarella, it doesn't melt it's almost curdled in the sauce.. no more creamy melted string as you bite into it.. it's like a powdered texture in the sauce even if you touch it with your fingers it feels weird.... thought it was a one off maybe so we called the store and they gave us a rain check to get another next time we wanted... nope a week later it's the same garbage ... great dough fake cheese... don't eat it ... it's gross... truly sad because I had been eating there since I was a teen as a treat over 35 years. my partner has loved it since a kid he grew up around the corner.. sad when what you know and loved and even took the generations there changes it's product that was literally the best ... Bitondos your not fooling anyone the mozzarella is really bad... i would even say fake.... hope you change it back or fire your supplier which you said was the problem ...

Yelp
Good quick street slice. Nostalgic flavor. You get it in the bag and you can eat it on the bench outside.
google avatar

Yelp
I really like their pizzas, but when placing a telephone order, be extremely deliberate with your words. Ensure that they repeat your order back as I have had wrong pizzas made to only find out when I got home. Otherwise, all good. One more thing, make sure they give you an order number.

Yelp
Tondo's has been rumoured to prefer slices of the same gender, and also to prefer slices of the opposite gender. It's now been confirmed that Tondo's likes both, hence the new name BiTondo's. Unfortunately these beloved slices at $3 are really not very delicious. Maybe by Toronto standards, this big, cheesy, tasteless slice is excellent. But coming from Buffalo where we are utterly spoiled with pizzerias, this was both inferior and less imaginative. And it's hard to be less imaginative than basic Buffalo pizza. So I'm not a big fan of the slices, but I am a fan of local businesses and I appreciate that Toronto seems to love this place. I can sort of see why, but it's not on my top list at all. Average. I should say, Bitondo's is a "Bit" average.
google avatar

Yelp
For joints as classic and timeless as bitondos I choose to keep my reviews short and sweet. The veal sandwiches - crispy, saucy and sensual. The slices? They are cut from the golden wheel my friend - it is hard to find a better or more classic slice on this earth. Anyone who says otherwise just doesn't understand pizza. I get it - Everyone's a critic - but when I read some of the negative reviews here I can tell that they are written by some pizza novices. Some people just don't see the magic even when it's right in front of them (pizza magic, love magic... whatever!) it's not that they can't see it - but they somehow miss it. Damn shame. Go to the monarch. Have a pint. Wander over to bitondos. Enjoy your pizza. Enjoy your life. Enjoy...BITONDOS.

Yelp
I don't know what else I can add that hasn't already been said but I'll add my two cents. Nice little hole-in-the-wall just off the main strip in Little Italy offering a great panzarotti at a very fair price.
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
I got the veals. It was tasty. Tiny little place, the epitome of neighbourhood pizza joints.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice discovery, good thing about Toronto, you are always finding 'new' places to eat. This is a bit off College St, not necessarily a place you would normally be walking past. I would give 5 stars; no debit/atm (had to go across street, up the stairs to a bar for atm; annoying in 2017, just get a debit machine, it's quicker/easier). The decor/interior is 'slightly' charming but mostly run-down/dumpy looking; needs new chairs, seating. Great spot for a reno, the patrons and staff would probably appreciate it. Panzo is quick, ready and excellent; $6.75. Slices look good, they can get busy. Will definitely return.

Yelp
After waiting for over an hour tonight for our order of pizza, and 4 veal sandwiches from Bitondo's on Uber eats, they kept delaying our order until they finally decided to completely cancel it!!! So now it's passed 9pm, and everyone in the house is starving, including 3 kids that now have to have dinner at 10pm because Uber eats/Bitondo's couldn't fulfill our order I'm not even sure who to blame for this mess up, but Uber Eats, and Bitondo's are both at fault in my view.
google avatar

Sarah T.

Yelp
The best panzerotti I've had in the city so far! I've been by this place maybe 4 times because of gatherings at the Monarch Tavern but haven't noticed or thought to hit up Bitondo's. Tried it out last weekend and I've been craving that panzo ever since. Heads up, they only take cash, and there's an ATM inside. Trust me, it's worth it.
google avatar

Bryce L.

Yelp
I will never understand the love of this place. Nostalgia? Not sure. Been in the neighbourhood 10+ years and I've thought this joint sucked since my first try. Been many, many times. California and San Franceso both have a better sandwich... The bitondo calzone is cheese only and premade. Can not get one made to order. Wtf. Not very appealing or tasty. Block of fake cheese with little sauce. Slice is IMO on par or below quality of your average Toronto mom and pop pizza joint. Also, not necessarily cheap anymore given that a slice is $3+, served "fresh" out of what looks like an easy bake with the panneling removed. Soooo many better spots within the direct vicinity.
google avatar

Arya T.

Yelp
A very good panzerotti at a very cheap price. Me and my brother decided to go to bitondos after it caught my eye when I was trying to find a parking spot in downtown I came in having no expectations and I came out happily surprised which usually is the case with restaurants in Toronto Their cheese panzerotti is ohhhhh so delicious it's cheesy and you can tell they make their own dough but all in all a very good pizza place and I would recommend it if you're looking for a quick cheap eat in college Street. It is better than your average pizza place so I'm giving it a 4/5
google avatar

NIcholas M.

Yelp
The Best Panzerotti in the World! As soon as I get out of the Island Airport I head to Bitondo's to grab a Panzerotti one of the things I miss the most about Toronto, and can get nowhere else. This is the classic Italian Canadian dish. And there Pizza is amazing too. One of the last classic old school places left.
google avatar

S Y.

Yelp
Average pizza. It's $3.25 for a slice of pepperoni pizza. Quite cheap. I don't like the topping and the crust. Not delicious at all. It's like chewing days old cured meat on a dough. I don't understand why they are among one of the best in Toronto. Toronto def has better pizza places. I prefer Marchellos's or Taverniti's pizza. Cash only.
google avatar

Ryan K.

Yelp
Had bitondos the other night since I haven't had anything all day. The veal is my fave and I always order it with cheese and mushroom. It is price really good compare to their competitors. I've tried their pizza slice and it was not as great, probably cause it was sitting there for a while, even reheating it. I was disappointed and wish I order a veal sandwich instead. Never had the calzone/panzo yet, though I was told that I can customize it by calling ahead which is good. Their standard panzo is just cheese. The atmosphere is kind of a dive, renovation would be nice. They do have seating (lawn chair) with a couple of tables to dine in for those who want to eat in. Be wary with parking Infront of the place, parking enforcement frequent the area and would ninja you with a hefty ticket. If you are in the little italy, go check it out and order a veal. Simply delish and the price is great.
google avatar

Cassie M.

Yelp
It was okay. They only had pepperoni available. It wasn't as good as I'd heard. Need a cheap slice? Try this. They were definitely large portions. Didn't try anything else but they have a few pasta options as well.
google avatar

Angelo B.

Yelp
4 stars average? Wtf I have low standards for pizza in Toronto after trying several places, but have to say this place is terrible. Nothing was good. The crust was bad. The toppings were bad. And it tasted like it had been sitting there for hours (and I went during the lunch hours). Cash only Btw reviews seem to be outdated. Slice is now $3.5. Even that is too much for this stuff. I'd rather eat a slice of bread.
google avatar

Yelp
So far the best no-fuss, non-gourmet, New York style pizza I've had in Toronto. I knew there were a lot of Italians in our city but I could never find a great slice until I walked into this hole in the wall of Bitondo's. This place is nestled nicely off of college and in a quiet residential neighborhood. Approaching the establishment you see old Italian dudes making pizza in the window, good sign. Walking inside you are greeted by what can only be described as a 60's nightmare. Ceiling tiles probably full of asbestos, 60's orange circular wall paper that is peeling, sun faded and well aged menu sign, Display case full of brio and sodas, a really old Coke cooler that is really awesome, a touch screen game you see at bar counters, bright orange plastic chairs, white 60's table (you'll know what I mean when you see it), weathered brown floor tiling, and a SIT DOWN Ms. Pac Man! That old ass sit down Ms. Pac Man alone should make you wanna walk over RIGHT NOW! Service feels like you're in someone's, 60's decorated, Italian home. People greet you smiling, it's uncomfortably busy and crowded, the air is slightly humid from all the people, there's the weird uncle giving you the eye while making pizza like you owe him money, the cousin you never really got along with is grabbing pizza, panzos, pastas, and sandwhiches for everyone because she doesn't really socialize, the kids are sitting around Ms. Pac Man trying to win an impossible game, and Nonna is somewhere making everything that's not pizza and making it damn well. Home sweet home. Now for the good stuff. The pizza! The pizza here is amazing! Simple and balanced. Sauce is a little sweet but still acidic from the tomatoes, the cheese is just the right amount, the crust is amazingly thin but sturdy and has a nice crispy outside but slightly chewy inside. Amazing stuff they have here. I prefer to order a pizza when I go here as SOMETIMES the slices are too chewy from sitting there, the cheese isn't as gooey, and the sauce dries out a little but I think that's only when you go in at off hours. Bring some friends and order a whole pie and get it a little well done so you get a slight char on the bottom, then you got yourself a New York style pizza. The Panzerotti is fantastic. Deep fried goodness! Doughy but crispy, cheesy, saucy, and surprisingly not as greasy as I would expect. It's damn heavy but man is it good. if you're with a group of people definitely grab one of these, you can even share as these babies are huge. At times I've seen the panzos sitting in the display case under a heat lamp during rush hours for dinner. Best to get them fresh. Eat in or on the benches outside but be sure to get the extra sauce for the panzo as it makes the experience that much better. When you order out they come in a paper bag, but I don't know if they throw in some sauce in a container, couldn't hurt to ask if you gotta book it. Overall, the pizza is amazing. No fuss and simple. Prices are great too at $5.75 a panzerotti and $2.75 a gigantic slice, Bitondo's knows how to give you the most bang for buck. NOTE: No delivery, call ahead to pick up as it gets ridiculously busy.
google avatar

Evelyn A.

Yelp
The $3 greasy slices are delightful, and people go nuts for their panzos, which are essentially grown up, giant, extra-cheesy pizza pockets. However, their entire pie experience didn't quite live up to my pizza dreamz. The crust was dry and they were stingy with the meat. The sausage went under the cheese and was basically just pepperoni, and there was hardly any pep above the cheese. I did appreciate their cheese ratio, but it just didn't live up to the hype and my previous slice experiences. Will I give them another try? Of course. It's the cutest pizza place on the planet, and I'd like to try their veal sandwiches.

Yelp
Bitondo's Pizzeria & Sandwiches has called 11 Clinton St. in Little Italy, Toronto, home for over 40 years. Maybe the oldest pizza spots in Toronto good old fashion pizza. The sliced are huge with a low price . This is old school pizza. These days you see pizza with goat cheese spinach and even chicken thats nasty . Old school wins..... Pac-Man machine shout pure 60s relic. It's obvious the interior can't have changed much, and it's charming in its throwback

Brian B.

Yelp
Decent pizza overall but found the crust a little chewy for my liking and could have used more time in the oven to becoming more crunchy.
google avatar

Yelp
Ha ha ha. Funny story about my most recent Bitondo's visit. After seeing a black cat in Yorkville, bad luck followed. The green P machine ate my ticket. I came to Little Italy to try P.G Cluck's famous fried chicken sandwich. They were out of bread. I went to veal place across from Bitondo's for a sandwich, they were out of buns! After complaining about the bread shortage in Toronto that night, I decided to give Bitondo's a second try. It was late around 9:30 pm, but the slices were hot and fresh! I ordered a pep slice and a chocolate milk $6.00. It was a huge slice, with great cheese and pepperoni. Cant ask for much more. Well, except for garlic dip which they didn't have. They only had marinara on deck, which made me forgiving because the place seemed old-school, authentic, and legit!
google avatar

Brandon C.

Yelp
Bitondo's has apparently been around for a long time. I recently had my first experience. They serve a rather large slice of pepperoni pizza for 3.75. Add a Brio cola and your total is 6$. (5$ if you opt for a can of pop). The pizza is good, if a bit bland, yet they have chilli flakes available. They are bringing the pizzas straight out of the oven right before your eyes here. Be sure to make time to eat your pizza here. The place (from the table-top Miss PacMan machine to the orange plastic chairs) evokes a strong sense of a by-gone era when Little Italy was a lot more Italian.

James K.

Yelp
Can't believe I've never posted a review for Bitondos! I've come here many dozens of times, tried almost everything, and got to say if you're looking for a veal sandwich, an old-school jumbo pizza slice, or especially a deep-fried panzerotti, this is a truly great spot. Parking is tricky, being in a busy residential neighborhood, and atmosphere is non-existent, unless, like me you love old school Neighbourhood greasy-spoon pizza joints run by the family and pumping out delicious food! For the uninitiated, make sure you get your Panzerotti deep fried, and absolutely, positively, order extra sauce on the side, because while it will be loaded with tons of cheese and your chosen toppings, the sauce inside is merely a tease. Pizza slices are very good, but, like any pizza slice, make sure you ask for them extra-well-done and (re)heated up very hot, they're not nearly as good if they are rushed, and I've had a few. Italian sandwiches are also very solid, and I would put only Abruzzo in Richmond Hill slightly ahead of Bitondos as far as making two of the truly great panzerotti, here in the GTA.

Yelp
Great, SIMPLE Pizza, similar to Brooklyn NY Pizza. An excellent veal sandwich the size of my head. Visiting Toronto Western Hospital and had time for lunch @ 12-15 minute walk from Dundas/Bathurst on a residential street in Little Italy. We forgot to hit a bank machine and when we first popped in, the staff directed us to an ATM at the bar across the road. We just went to College Street a block North and there was a CIBC another block West. So we came back and ordered veal sandwich and a pizza slice with a couple of Brio Chinottos, one of my favourite pops that's hard to get in North Bay. Pizza was already made, so that & the Brios were up right away. Huge slice of pepperoni, done NYC or Brooklyn style. Nice sauce, just enough cheese, nice amount of pepperoni. An amazing, simple slice, which is the way pizza should be. Veal Sandwich delivered to our table in a paper bag, wasn't sure what to expect. Opened it up and it was on a kaiser roll the size of my head. What I liked about this sandwich is it wasn't sitting around on a steam table...the veal was freshly fried and hot. A lot of meat with a nice tomato sauce and I ordered "hot" which meant hot banana peppers on the bottom under the meat. Excellent sandwich. If you want a quick, no fuss lunch, this little out of the way place is a great spot.

Frank M.

Yelp
Don't know what happ to Bitondos but it's not the same place I remember. Ordered party size with pepperoni, bacon and onions - bacon was raw (what little there was) and onions were non existent. Crust was so thin in the middle it was like paper. The worst pizza I have ever had. Shame on you Bitondos for putting out a product like this. Have been going there for over forty years but today is the last day that you have my patronage.

Yelp
My absolute favorite place to get a panzerotti! Ever since I was a little girl, I would always make a stop here for lunch, when I would come to visit my grandparents. The quality of the food has been consistent and they are just as good today as they were when I was a little girl 25 years ago. The only thing that sucks is that they charge you $1 for a side of extra sauce. The place isn't exactly a cheap hole in the wall restaurant, so charging an additional $1 for a little container of sauce I think is steep. However, the quality in their food is solid.

Yelp
Maybe I hyped it up in my mind. But definitely not one the best. It is cheap I'll give it that, also much better than anything you'll get at pizza pizza, Nova. Pizza libretto is probably better, more expensive yes but would definitely worth the price. Personally thought it lacked sauce, wasn't dry but needed something else. Had a thick crust with good amount of cheese. No dipping sauce just marinara.

Yelp
I can see Bitondo's from my window as I type this. I'd say half the traffic on my street is due to Bitondo's. This is the spot for a good ol' greasy slice of pizza or a meatball sub. The shop furnishings have gone unchanged for 30 years: there's a Ms. Pac Man sit-down game in there. The hand-painted menu on the window reads as follows: *SPAGHETTI *LASAGNA *RAVIOLI *SPEZZATINO *PANZAROTTI *PIZZA The panzarotti is pretty much just a massive lump of deep fried cheese ($5). Oh dear god, it's the size of a human stomach and it's awesome. I need to order a side of tomato sauce for dipping ($1), because the cheese is too dense otherwise. Despite my proximity, I allow myself a Bitondo's panzo about twice a year. This only happens when I'm drunk and unconcerned about the 4000 calories per serving.

Yelp
The owner really doesn't care. His staff is yapping on the phone while working. It's really pathetic that staff doesn't read proper instructions when orders are placed. If someone has an allergy, I really hopecthey get sued. Pizza was quite disgusting, have raw & doughy

Yelp
This has been my go to pizzeria since I was a kid and it continues to be that way. It is on a side street south of College St in the heart of Little Italy, run by members of the same family. Nothing fancy but it has a comfortable and well worn charm that continues to please it's customers with good pizza made fresh before your eyes. A large pizza with 4 toppings will run you $20 which is well worth it (my favourite is with anchovies, pepperoni, mushrooms and hot peppers... yum!) But the best offerings are their deep fried panzarotti. Soft dough filled with cheese and tomato sauce, one of these babies is a meal unto itself. Sometimes they have a few ready made but they go quickly. Yesterday they had a line-up waiting for ones to be made... well worth the 15 or 20 minute wait! There is always the PacMan console to pass the time. They only take cash and have recently installed an ATM machine. They do not deliver. Parking is limited and you need to always be on the lookout for the parking cops who love to hang around the area and write tickets. Be aware and forewarned...!

Yelp
I can't recommend this place enough. Whenever I'm on College, I always make time for Bitondo's Pizzeria. Their $3 slices are thin crust, fresh, and of great value. Cash only.
