Bitty and Beau's Coffee is a much needed refresher when you're out and about in the SC humid weather. A rustic decor with a touch of modern aesthetics, and tons of southern hospitality. Everyone is welcoming upon entry and helpful with deciding what to order. Drinks came out timely and very tasty. Ordered one of the specialty drinks for the season, "Peanut Butter Java Chip Frappe" and a good ol matcha latte (wife). Both tasted great with no complaints. The shop also has souvenirs to browse while you're waiting for the coffee/tea/snacks. Overall impressions are great. The service highlighted the visit, but the drinks were an extra touch of hospitality. Would definitely visit again when in Charleston. Thank you!

We loved our experience here today!! We got an iced vanilla latte, iced white chocolate mocha, and chocolate muffin. All were very tasty!! We also love that they’ve created an environment that is very supportive to the disabled community! Good service and very nice atmosphere!

We are often disappointed by local coffee shop fare, but this one was so good I decided to leave a review. The coffee shop was a delightful stop. The atmosphere was dark but comfortable, and the baristas were courteous. The iced matcha latte I ordered was better than Starbucks, and the coconut cold brew that my husband ordered was delicious as well. Above all, I love the mission of this shop, to help all people be seen. I will be making another stop here when I can.

It is supporting a larger mission that builds an accepting community and showcase that everyone despite other abled can contribute and make meaningful experiences for every patron. Bitty and Beau isn't just a delicious coffee and bites. They have built employment opportunities for those that are intellectually and developmentally disabled. This has resulted in "changing the way people see other people". Each coffee shop curates a welcoming and radically inclusive environment. Not to mention sweet notes on cups to cheer brighten your day.

My wife loves her coffee, she can’t function without it and she said this was her favourite coffee by far. Extremely inclusive and kind friendly staff and we love the mission to help people with disabilities get opportunities.

My partner and I stopped in for an iced latte and an iced chai. We were immediately greeted and the coffee and chai were delicious. Atmosphere was lovely and we love “voting with our dollar” and supporting a small mission-driven business. Skip the Starbucks and come here.

Visiting Charleston & wanted to visit Bitty & Beau's as I have read about their founding & mission. We purchased a baseball style T-shirt & 3 drinks, an iced chai & 2 frappes with almond milk. All were very good & how we like them. Very cute little coffee shop & store, only negative was it was very small. Wish we had a Bitty & Beau's in our area.

The sweetest little cafe in Charleston!! We were parched on a hot may afternoon after exploring the river side parks. We needed refreshments and yelp suggested this cafe. They employ physically challenged people which makes it 1000 times worth the visit. I got an iced vanilla latte which was fabulous. They give you playing cards and call it out while your order is ready, kinda makes it more fun. I will recommend and revisit this cafe when in town.

This is such a cool coffee shop that gives a unique small town vibe that I really appreciate. The service was made great with both kindness and efficiency. We visited on two occasions during our time in Charleston and were very happy with the different drinks we tried both times. Their Mocha's seem to skew towards the sweater end of the spectrum compared to others, but their cold brew was spot on with many others that I've tried, and their Caramel Frappé was incredible. I would definitely recommend that you check this place out if you're looking for a nice cup of coffee while in Charleston.

There are not a ton of coffee shops in downtown Charleston so finding this place was fantastic! The coffee is some of the best I have had and the story behind Bitty and Beau's coffee is heart warming and with a great purpose! Friendly staff and great atmosphere! I definitely will come back!!

This place hold a special spot in my heart. Great message and a community of wonderful individuals. Sometimes it takes a village, other times it's takes those few patient and kind people. Please be patient and kind in return. The coffee was Devine! Frozen hot chocolate?!?! Yes. Please! It was some of the best I've ever had! Cute little shop with local vibes. Plus... The use of game cards to identify customers is really creative! The handwriting on the cups make you feel special. I came back every day I spent in Charleston. Support this amazing business. You won't regret it.

What a great coffee shop. I stumbled upon it randomly while exploring downtown Charleston. My iced pumpkin spice latte was delicious, and I was served by some of the sweetest baristas. A heartwarming story and culture and a welcoming coffee, smoothie, frappe, pastry shop right on Church Street in the heart of the Market District of Charleston, SC. This is a coffee shop built out of love and it shows with every guest experience. It is awesomely inclusive!!!

The baristas were on their A-game! EVERYONE was friendly and kind, and the establishment was very clean and had a fun vibe. Everything we ordered was delicious! I absolutely love the mission, and contrary to a few negative-nancy reviews, I think that this was such a nice coffee shop that served quality items. I will be returning and honestly would return even regardless of the mission. The mango lemonade, frozen strawberry lemonade, and decaf iced latte drinks were all especially yummy!

As a Special Education Teacher, I knew I had to stop by Bitty & Beau's on my birthday trip to Charleston! The drinks were refreshing and we had amazing service. Ainsley cashed us out and we had a wonderful time chatting with her. Everyone was lovely! What a wonderful place and mission. Everyone deserves an opportunity to be included in society!

Perfection! Hands down, the best cup of coffee on our recent vacation to Charleston/Hilton Head/Savannah was had at Bitty & Beau's Coffee shop. Their espresso is spot on perfect--it's beautifully rich and smooth. I thoroughly enjoyed the mocha I got here. I don't know if this is always the case, but they're set up as an exclusively takeout situation. They also have some fun branded items for purchase as well. Top notch! Get to it!

Amazing service and I love how they write cute sayings on the cup! My latte was very good and I'm picky with my coffee. The inside of the restaurant is nice and has some couches and stools. Lastly, I really love how this business supports those with intellectual disabilities definitely stop by if you're in the area

I had the pleasure of stopping by for a cup of coffee. I was happy to hear that they have light medium and dark roast. The coffee was excellent not over roasted like Starbucks. Support those with down syndrome come to this establishment.

Such a great ambiance, yes service is a little slow but, I support the cause the was staff nice they have a good selection of souvenirs. The coffee wasn't bad it was a little stronger than I expected and the price is decent for the size I got. Just remember to have patience and empathy.

This place is literally awesome and I feel better about the world now knowing that this place exists. I happened to randomly choose this place for our am coffee run because it was close to our hotel and close to touristy shit we were planning to do for the day. I had no idea about the concept until we arrived. I assume you probably already know the concept so I won't get into it but I absolutely love it and I wish more establishments incorporated this into their business plan. The coffee was delicious and there was ample seating in which to enjoy it before heading off to tackle the rest of our day. As an added bonus "you are a star!" was written on my cup and I don't mind a little self esteem pick me up if I do say so myself. I wish this place existed in my neighborhood, I would go alllll the damn time.

While I"m all about local, I do have a bit of a Starbucks addiction and tend to prefer the way they make my customized americano vs local coffee shops. However, I do love checking out 5 star coffee shops when on the road and had to stop by Bitty & Beau's after reading the reviews. The first thing I noticed was that the majority of their staff have special needs. The owners have 2 children, named Bitty & Beau, who were born with down syndrome. The staff could not have been friendlier and clearly take a lot of pride in what they do. There was one woman who seemed to be in charge (perhaps the manager) and she was so complimentary and enthusiastic to the rest of the staff...and it was amazing to watch the staff smiles everytime she praised them. Our coffee took awhile and they weren't that busy, but we were in no rush (vacation!) and my husband devoured a blueberry muffin while waiting. Did my Americano compare to my Starbucks Americano? Sadly no, but it was a great ambiance and I will be back if I make it back to Charleston. In fact, we stopped in a few times during our long weekend there.

Love the mission behind Bitty and Beaus- the coffee shop employees are all special needs. I love that they are given the opportunity to have the independence to work and earn money while also learning to break them outta their shells and be social and interacting. They were all so sweet and my coffee itself was really yummy! The pricing in my opinion is was very reasonable as well !

I absolutely love the mission here! The staff are enthusiastic, friendly, helpful, and make great coffee. I first learned about Bitty & Beau's quite by accident a few years ago. Once I learned that they made a point of hiring people with disabilities, considering how excellent the customer service was, I became a huge fan. Any time I visit Charleston I make a point of visiting Bitty & Beau's at any opportunity. I keep it simple with an Americano, but mine was prepared perfectly both times I visited during this trip. This is a business you can feel proud to support, and you are sure to have a great experience anytime you stop in. Thank you to everyone at Bitty & Beau's for brightening my day every time I visit!

Ventured to Bitty & Beau's Coffee in September when I was in Charleston to visit Congaree National Park. I had seen Bitty & Beau's Coffee on a list of best coffee shops in the Charleston area and knew I had to visit to see this magical place for myself. Alas, it certainly did not disappoint. From the moment I stepped through the door, I had a smile on my face. For those that do not know, Bitty & Beau's Coffee employs individual's with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a School Psychologist who works with students with varying needs, I wanted to be sure to support this establishment however I could. In addition to the great coffee, there is an area with merchandise of all kinds (t-shirts, stickers, coffee mugs, etc.). I opted for a latte and it was delicious. Made with a smile and drank with an even bigger smile. I'm truly thankful Bitty & Beau's Coffee exists, we need more establishments like this! The world needs more advocates for the value, acceptance, and inclusion of people with intellectual and development disabilities. Bravo, Bitty & Beau's!

Our first time at Bitty & Beau's and it was perfect. Service was super fast, super friendly and super patient. I changed my mind on my drink, asked for recommendations and purchased a lot of swag and the gentleman helping never lost his patience with me (even though my husband started to). I wish we had a Bitty & Beau's locally- this twice a day Starbucks girl would switch in a heartbeat. We had an iced americano and a cold brew- both were delicious!

It was super hot outside and we stumbled upon this coffee shop so we decided to order an iced coffee. We got the vanilla iced coffee and they made it pretty fast. It was refreshing but way too sweet. But cute ambiance, with tons of merch to buy and cool spot to stop by.

I wanted to cry when I came in. I have NO IDEA the passion they had for equal opportunity. This is how the world should be.

Service was fast for drip coffee, but coffee was no better than McDonald's. Bitty and Beaus wants to sell you BNB branded merchandise rather than serve you great coffee. This is not a place where you want to linger and work on your laptop. There's very little inside seating, and it's mostly for people waiting. Merchandise area of the store takes up 2/3 of the customer area, that says it all. Maybe at one time they were good, but now they're an overly commercialized merchandise store that just happens to sell coffee while you browse. Not recommended.

While visiting Charleston, I went to Bitty & Beau's everyday of my trip since it was a couple of blocks away from my hotel. I got a iced vanilla latte with oak milk and it was very good. Service was quick and I never had to wait.

I loved everything about our experience at this coffee shop. Their coffee and treats were delicious and the service was outstanding! Our barista was celebrating 5 years with the coffee shop!!! I stumbled on this coffee shop thanks to the high Yelp reviews, little did I know I would have a wonderful story to tell and business to recommend to others!! I whole heartedly believe in their mission and can't wait to be back in Charleston to get more coffee and merchandise!! Best coffee shop experience in my lifetime!!!

The service was friendly, but my latte w/dark chocolate and marshmallow added was a little bland.

Hate to write this review given the company's mission, but both service & latte was horrible. Bitter espresso, no roast flavor, could not drink it & walked back down the street to another coffeehouse to get a replacement. Ordered an iced latte with lots of extra ice and after specifically asking if there were cup sizes and being told "no only one sized iced latte" was then given a larger cup than my husbands to accompany the extra ice (without being asked if that was what I wanted). Ehhhhh FUMBLE. The reason I ask is bc I want more ice / less milk ratio in my latte. Had to ask them to remake which is never what I want to do. Husband and teenage son both agreed that the espresso flavor was non drinkable.

Just...ok here but gave more points because of real honey. So the coffee drink of honey and Americano were real good. Nice facility.
