LA’s Best New Burger Spot Hides on a Public Golf Course in Long Beach | Eater LA

"A green deck hangs on the back of the pro shop where crowds ebb and flow across an afternoon; the low clouds and coastal breezes keep customers lingering as they pop open cans of cheap beer and swap stories. I found there’s no fancy clubhouse at this 42-year-old nine-hole par-three executive course—just worn fairways, friends laughing and reliving old tales—and the small, communal feel is amplified by the presence of Trepanier’s burger operation on the deck, which draws both regular golfers and a growing number of young Long Beach diners." - Farley Elliott

Cool little 9 hole course to walk. Greens are dry and fast. Bunkers are hard packed dirt and not sand. Garmin has me at 2 miles of walking the full course. $15 twilight is a great deal. I'll be returning for sure.

I love coming to Bixby Village early in the morning for one of the first tee times. It's quiet, nobody around. Just me and the course. I come here for Iron/wedge/putting and never bring my driver so I can't say that I have ever kept my score. Maybe the first time I did. Anyways, it is perfect for practice because there is a wide variety of holes for a 9 hole course. Some are shorter than others, primarily 5 and 6, but for the most part, all of them are on par with what you would expect. The morning guy is great, I always forget his name because I'm terrible and hate asking when I've been more than once but I'll catch it sometime. Thanks Bixby Village!

A great course to get in a quick 9 rounds if you're short on time.

Had awesome burgers at the Crack Burger on the golf course. I highly recommend this experience. Small business owner/operator deserves our business every time.

Only visited the food and grill area. Unbelievable gourmet burger with homemade sauces. Absolutely delicious. Recommended if you're in the area and hungry. You'll see.

Good for practice but that's about it. The staff there were supwr nice and friendly. The people ahead of us thought they were on the PGA tour. It took a long time to play 9 holes behind them. This is the first time ever we've seen a sand trap in the middle of a green. Unique. It's ok for the money.

Interesting course, not much actual green on the greens. Mostly dead grass. Price should be $10/ person.

Not sure why this is double the cost of most nine holes in the area. This place is not well kept up and the greens are more like mini golf not one of them is flat - which I guess is good if you're looking for an extra challenge. Note to new golfers, hole 8 is essentially a 90 degree dog leg. Overall it is a fun course with three par 4s - I just wish it was better maintained.
