BKC - Biryani Kebab Chai - Marble Arch

Came across this restaurant while searching for authentic Indian food in the area, and it exceeded my expectations in both food and service. The flavours are genuinely reminiscent of what you’d find in Delhi. Starters • Onion Kachori – (10/10) • Nadru Galouti Kebab – (10/10) Highly recommended with Rumali Roti. This was suggested by Viral from BKC, who was a fantastic host. • Dahi ke Kebab – (10/10) Exactly like the ones you get in Delhi. • Green Chutney – Impeccable. Mains • Dal Makhani with Lachcha Parantha – (10/10) Rich, comforting, and cooked to perfection. Desserts • Gulab Jamun – (10/10) Served piping hot—be careful before digging in! • Gajar ka Halwa – (8/10) Very good, though it could have been slightly better. Still impressive, especially for London. Beverages • Soda Shikanji – (10/10) • Mango Lassi – (8/10) Could have been a bit sweeter, and the portion size felt slightly small. • Karak Chai – (9/10) Well made, though the cardamom was a bit strong for my personal taste (not much of a tea person, but still enjoyed it). 🙌 Service & Hospitality A special shout-out to Viral and Mansi for their excellent recommendations and detailed explanations of the dishes and ingredients. Final Verdict A must-visit spot for anyone craving truly authentic North Indian flavours, especially if you’re missing Delhi-style food.

We went there for dinner on a Saturday just before Christmas. One of my friends recommended this place and it didn't disappoint. Nice little place with a cafe vibe. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had lamb biryanis with lamb galouti and seekh kebabs as sides. It was authentic awadhi biryani and kebabs simply melted in mouth. Yes it is a bit pricey but hey you are right in the heart of central london next to Oxford Street. Overall a satisfying experience.

I treated my mum for her birthday and she was just blown away. I’m a huge foodie and I can proudly say this place does the best biryani. It’s rich, flavourful and to die for. All other dishes are just as brilliant. It’s dangerous this place is so close to me - I have to stop myself from eating here too much.

Ordered online. Was exceptional food. Will deffo be ordering again. Only thing I would alter is the Karak. It was infused with too much cardamom, very strong ans bitter taste unfortunately. But other than that, it was a very flavourful meal

Excellent food and service! We were in London for a few days and wanted a change of pace for dinner. We are so happy we chose BKC. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we enjoyed our experience. The staff asked thoughtful questions and made great suggestions to satisfy all our palates. Everything was delicious and fresh. You know a restaurant is good when there are plants of locals enjoying meals. I know this will be a stop on our next trip to London!

Very small portions. Ordered the Chicken 65 and the portion was very small. To be fair, it was a BOGO so can’t complain too much - but if the portion sizes are halved, it’s not exactly BOGO. Also, taste wise it was really good. Staff were also very nice. Only problem was the portion size.
