"Biryani, kebab, chai. That’s what BKC, the name of this Awadhi spot in Marble Arch, stands for. But that’s not all you should try when you come here. The small plates, from the tangy, sweet, and savoury papri chaat, to the warming potato and vegetable-stuffed samosa with its thick crispy coating, are excellent. The lamb kathi roll—a paratha filled with a spicy lamb kebab and chutney, with a citrussy mint dip on the side—feels like the ultimate lunchtime upgrade from your Tesco meal deal wrap. And the tender shami lamb kebab evaporates on your tongue. From the moment we walked in on a Sunday morning our host showed great hospitality skills. From seating to menu recommendations, he was very helpful. The food was utterly full-flavoured and delicious, good size portions and well-presented. Large, very tender lamb chops. Huge portion of lamb biryani with accompaniments. Chicken lollipops and a great pink chai. Restaurant filled up quickly and the staff handled it well. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and a good value for the quality and flavours, particularly considering the location a few steps from Marble Arch. Highly recommended.

Amazing food, great service, but limited seating. The food was fabulous, devoured everything. Especially loved the paneer kathi roll– it’s a must have item if you visit. So much flavour packed into every bite! The kofta was a bit too sweet for my liking, but it was so soft and so good, it practically melted with every bite. The house black daal was excellent, I would have this on its own honestly! Gullah jamun was so warm and just the right amount of sweet; the shredded almonds and dried rose petals were a lovely touch. It is quite cramped in the restaurant and seating is very limited; if you’re a party of 8+, I’m not sure you’d be seated comfortably. We went as a party of 4 and had no issues.

Coming from Delhi myself, I am not usually impressed by Indian food and especially kebabs. This place was recently recommended by a friend who himself comes from Delhi. We tried the galouti kebab, the kathi roll and the chicken malai tikka. Everything was excellent. The galouti was so delicious and tender and melt in the mouth and almost made me compare to the ones I had in Delhi. Overall the food is authentic. They have a decent wine and whisky list including Indian single malts. Prices are reasonable too. Verdict 5/5 Meal for two is £80 without drinks The only slight negative is the ambiance, it’s quite dry and boring.

We had such a good time at BKC recently. The food was amazing. It was a culinary journey. Perfect blend of spices, heat, and flavour. And the chai was equally delicious. We ordered a couple of platters, Biryani and Roti. And I can't forget the Kashmiri Pink Chai. I recommend the Kashimiri Chai after meal because although it is supposed to be tea, it could as well have been a desert with the manner it's been prepared. Creamy, yummy, and sweet! The Shikanji was a new experience. Soda, mint, and some spices. What is there not to love? The atmosphere was cosy, the ambience was warm, and the decor matched the food and cultural heritage. The staff were also pleasant and knowledgeable about the dishes, and they provided some useful historical accounts behind the dishes. The story about the melting kebab was interesting. Like the Terminator, I will be back!

The food is good, and spices are on the mild side, tried mixed non veg platter Tandoori Chicken, Reshmi kebabs, Lamb and chicken biryan, tried different traditional juices (recommended) and Kashmiri/Karak chai nice too. Portions are small, so food is a bit on a pricy side. They had lunch deals around £20 pp, including biryani, so it seems good. We experienced slow service. Cosy space but really nice location at the start of Edgware road feets away from marble arch station and hyde park.

One of the best meals we had in London! The food was amazing and so well spiced. The atmosphere was very cozy and the customer service was very attentive and warm. If you have a low spice tolerance, definitely get yogurt to go with your meal and the mango lassi.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit here. Loved the lamb dishes - Seekh kebab, Lamb chops, Lamb Biryani and Dal Makhani. (Only thing which was a bit wrong was the Lacha paratha. Wasn't a Lacha paratha at all). Anyways. Would definitely go again! RECOMMEND.
