Black Bear Burger - Canary Wharf

Stopped by on a Tuesday lunchtime to try out some burgers. Arrived at 12 and it was fairly quiet but within 10-15mins, the lunch crowds had arrived and the whole market filled up pretty quickly. We wanted to sample a few of the burgers so ordered the classic, the black bear and the miso butter burgers along with some fries. The burgers are all cooked nicely and have layered flavours enhanced by the condiments. Particularly enjoyed the taste of the black bear and miso burgers. The one disappointing thing was the buns. On this particular occasion at least, they tasted pretty stale and with single patties the overwhelming taste I was left with was a bready mouthful. Real shame as with some better tasting buns, this could’ve been a great burger!

Black Bear Burger is hands down one of the best burger spots I’ve ever tried! The meat is juicy and tender, the sauce is incredible, and the fresh veggies inside the bun make every bite perfect. The fries are also delicious and perfectly cooked. The location is great, and there’s a bar nearby where you can enjoy a cold beer. A fantastic lunch option that won’t break the bank!

Double Miso Bacon Burger, very juicy and well-seasoned, I'm not normally a big fan of bacon but the bacon was done nicely and together with all the other ingredients made this a great tasting burger. It was quite pricey, but I felt very satisfied after eating the burger so I'm still happy to give it 5 stars

We ordered two burgers and a fries from Black Bear via Deliveroo at 16:06, and it was only delivered at 17:48(1 hour 40 mins). Unfortunately, the food arrived quite cold — we had to reheat both the burgers and fries in the oven. Also Burgers arrived almost rare and fries were quite oily. Overall, it was a quite disappointing experience given how long the delivery took and that the burgers arrived cold. If any Black Bear team member wonders about the order, here’s the number: 8676

First time trying Black Bear. I've heard a lot of good things saying it's one of the best burgers in the city, so I was excited. I ordered the double miso bacon with a small fries. The wait wasn't long, which was great, but they got my order wrong (and gave me a single burger instead). Not a huge issue... but when I took my food back, it seemed they were getting multiple orders wrong. The kiosk was piling up with people waiting. So not the best experience. Overall the burger was ok, but nothing to write home about. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a smash burger, it didn't have the texture of one of so. The chips were good, but the price for small felt pretty steep at £3.90.
