14 New York Bars Where You Can Watch Football | Eater

"Black Iron Burger is known for grilling up some of the tastiest burgers in the city, but it’s also a great spot to catch the game. With two locations in Midtown, you’re never far from one of their juicy, signature patties. Don’t let the food menu distract you from the equally impressive happy hour, though. Whether you’re looking for a classic mojito (made with Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, of course) or a seasonal special, the talented bartenders are bound to serve you something you’ll enjoy." - Julia Gómez Kramer

The service was great from the moment we entered to the moment we left. The food was good but nothing special. I opted for the smash black burger and hubby got the chicken club sandwich. We both enjoyed our choices. My only slight nitpick is that the music is too loud. It was like being in a club and I just want to easy and talk to the person opposite me rather than yell.

I’d read some great reviews about this place and went in with pretty high expectations—but it turned out to be just okay. The portions weren’t exactly generous—not your typical American-style hearty serving. The patty itself was decent, but nothing beyond expectation. Personally, I would’ve preferred bolder seasoning to really bring out the flavors. As for the sides, the fries were pretty disappointing—thin, soggy… And the coleslaw is Bland. Hate to say it, but I left feeling a bit let down.

Black Iron Burger is one of my favorite spots for a burger in Midtown. The place is pretty chill, nothing fancy, just good vibes and really tasty burgers. I tried the Mushroom Truffle Burger and it was juicy and packed with flavor. The fries are great too, especially the truffle ones. If you’re around 38th Street and craving a solid burger, definitely check it out!

Google
First of all: there are quite a few promises about the quality and taste of the meat. And they are true! REAL good food… Very friendly service and nice atmosphere. But what I liked so much and found hard to find in NY: the music!!! Some really cool deep house, tech house and loungy house, never disturbing and adding to the experience, absolutely good.

Google
One of the best burgers I've ever had! They were tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection - everything you'd want a burger to be! Amazing beer to pair with it too...! To top it all off, the service was perfect as well. I'll be back! I had the Iberico Burger with the herb-garlic fries - I highly recommend it!

Google
Our server was very nice, attentive and brought everything out with a smile. I loved the fries. We ordered the chicken wings and the classic burger. Our burger was ordered medium well but it came out very bloody. It had good flavor just not cooked to the order requested. The wings were good, I would get them again. Overall, a good experience, loved the music playlist they had. Very close to both midtown and Times Square yet the street was very calm and not packed inside.

Google
Really nice burgers juicy and full of flavour. The fries are not something special and are not freshly cut. If they change then to fresh it will be a different experience. The service was excellent. Very fast attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place

Google
I was headed for an upscale restaurant on a random Wednesday night and stumbled upon Black Iron Burger. As a single traveler it is often hard to feel welcomed at restaurants. I headed for the bar and was so welcomed by Sandy. He was extremely busy but took the time to let me know that they are the number one rated burger place in NYC and that I should enjoy the food there instead of taking it to go. I am convinced that they have earned that rating and totally see why. Love this place.

Yelp
First impression was not good. I walked in solo and stood where the sign said "Please wait to be seated". I waited for a while but it seemed there was no host, and only 2 servers running around. While I waited two men walked in and the server ran up to seat them right away. That was annoying, so I ended up walking to the bar and taking the seat of someone who was leaving. Food was pretty good. Not amazing and I don't think I'd go back because there are so many other places to try. I got the black iron burger because I LOVE horseradish, and it had horseradish cheese and horseradish mayor. While tasty, I didn't even get a hint of horseradish. Disappointing. The burger didn't come with sides so I also got the onion rings. The batter it was fried in was really good, light and fluffy.

Yelp
This is a burger spot located around the Garment District area that is an ideal burger joint to unwind with a juicy burger, a mini mountain of fries, and a refreshing drink. I ordered a Coca-Cola, Truffle Cheese Fries, and Mushroom Truffle Burger. This is for the truffle lovers out there, the truffle fries were the right amount of truffle oil paired with parmesan cheese. It wasn't so heavy on the truffle oil that you could still enjoy the warm crispiness of the fries. The mushroom truffle burger was quite delicious with the mushroom and truffle pairing that didn't clash or overwhelm the taste buds. It was so good that after taking this photo, I was halfway through my burger and enjoying every bite. The servers were quite patient in explaining the menu as well as emphasizing that the signature burgers stay as-is with no substitution and that you can build your own burger. Also, their uniform/shirt would make you do a double-take and I got a good laugh with my server. The location is very lively with conversations throughout the bar and restaurant with multiple TVs playing games (ideal sports bar/restaurant spot as well). It is a very chill and laid-back restaurant to let loose and be a little messy while eating by yourself or with friends or even on a date. I would most definitely be coming back and trying more of the signature burgers as well as making my own burger.

Yelp
If you're a fan of burgers, this place has you covered. They offer a fantastic build-your-own burger option, allowing you to mix and match a variety of toppings and sauces to create your perfect burger. It's a fun way to personalize your meal. The sides were great! We shared an assortment of fries, each one offering a unique flavor. The sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sweetness, while the truffle fries were rich and aromatic, a true indulgence. The Cajun fries had a nice spicy kick, adding a bold contrast to the other sides. The onion rings were crispy and golden with a satisfying crunch. To wash it all down, we treated ourselves to vanilla milkshakes, which were delicious! All in all, everything was great! Highly recommended for anyone craving a burger that goes beyond the basics.

Yelp
Came here on a rainy Wednesday 5:30pm with my girlfriend and there were tons of seats and did not seem too crowded throughout the night. Service was good and our waiter did a great job. Food was good, we got a chocolate shake, truffle fries, the mushroom burger and the master piece burger. Everything was pricey, but my complaint was that the prices for a large fries was not stated on their menu. The menu shows $9.25 for the truffle fries but I was charged $12.25, which no where on the menu mentioned a large would be +$3 more. If it was mentioned by the waiter or the menu I would've been fine but when I talked to the waiter who talked to the manager, all they gave was a discount for the next time I would come which I would not know when. The manager didn't even come up to us about the discrepancy and they didn't really do anything about this mistake. Overall the food was good but the way they manage mistakes is simply unprofessional.

Yelp
Black Iron Burger is a dependable spot for a great burger--it never disappoints. While the signature burgers don't allow substitutions, which is a bit of a downside, the overall quality more than makes up for it. Some of my favorites include The Masterpiece, The Epic Burger, and the Mushroom Truffle Burger. Pair them with their herb garlic fries, and you've got an amazing combo. The burgers are always cooked to perfection. I typically order mine medium, and the patties are consistently juicy, flavorful, and well-seasoned. On occasion, I like to build my own burger, and their turkey burger is a fantastic option--definitely worth trying. Highly recommend this spot for any burger lovers!

Yelp
Had the Black Iron and Herb Garlic Fries with aioli sauce and it was phenomenal. They did a great job cooking the burger to medium rare and the grilled onions added a nice hint of sweetness to the savory patties and horseradish mayo. It was juicy, flavorful, and melts in your mouth. The fries had a lot of garlic on them and the aioli sauce was a good addition to the flavor profile. It gets pretty busy, so expect some wait time.

Yelp
Follow me on my travels and dining adventures. In NYC this week and our first stop was black iron burger. It was a good one too. Nice cold beer. Great burgers cooked perfectly. Thick bacon on top and fresh bun. I also had the onion rings and French fries. Our server was helpful and gave me his recommendation of my options. A cute small place but very comfortable. It wasn't crowded or noisy.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the better burger spots in the city. Didn't even mind paying $30 on my meal. I didn't expect the place to be a bar, considering the dim lighting in the place but I expect it to be a part or the atmosphere. When you come in, someone arrives to bring you to a table and that's when you can order your food. I had an All American Burger (Beef burger with cheese, bacon and BBQ Sauce in a brioche bun, truffle cheese fries and a Coke Zero. The burger was cooked splendid and the taste was as good as it's texture, the truffle fries were also delightful and my drink was refreshing enough after that meal. It passes as a premium burger and of course there is a premium price to pay for it but it's worth it.

Yelp
Eh. My stomach hurts and it was pretty lackluster; no seasoning, grill needs to be hotter, onion hand needs to be heavier. Sorta disappointed but also it is what it is... $16 not the best not the worst.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, but a bit tight and a little service is rushed If you're coming in to grab a quick burger and head out, it's perfect but if you're looking to have a nice dinner, this may not be your best bet

Yelp
Anytime I'm in New York City I have to come here. It can get crowded. We got here before a hockey game on a Monday night and were seated immediately. The restaurant was decorated for the holidays and the Christmas music was bumping. Such a fun vibe. Our waiter was super friendly. I ordered the mushroom truffle burger, medium rare with into rings. It was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and the flavors were amazing with mushroom duxelle, Swiss cheese, caramelized onion and bacon bits. Just divine! Hubs ordered the Iberico burger. Apparently this is a smash burger type of burger. He felt it was a bit dry since it was so thin but still tasted good on real with the ham and egg on top. The food is not expensive but drinks are as is typical in NYC.

Yelp
I stopped by BIB for a quick afternoon snack. I ordered the Black Iron burger as a recommendation from the bartender. It was delicious however only when I loaded it with the horseradish sauce. I do wish the horseradish tasted more like horseradish than mayo but overall a nice burger. I got it by less. The Caesar salad was lovely. Great and attentive service by the bartender. I'd go back for a quick lunch etc!

Yelp
Saw the good reviews and stopped in with a coworker for lunch. Cool spot atmosphere wise with a bar in the back. Seated promptly and drinks brought fairly quickly with the restaurant about half full on a Tuesday afternoon. Plenty of options on the menu, and I did the build your own burger with 2 patties, cheddar cheese, regular bacon, and the spicy mayo along with an order of onion rings and a Diet Coke. The burger was oddly flavorless and just noting special to write home about. The onion rings were flimsy, soggy, and looked like something I would have made when I was first learning to cook. My coworker got the Mushroom Truffle Burger and thought his was similarly bland. My biggest problem with the place is the price for the result. $35 plus tip for a bland lunch. I'd rather have payed half the price at the smash burger place around the corner (7the st burger) for a more enjoyable product. Not worth a second visit.

Yelp
Ambiance (4/5): The establishment is narrow and deep with one side with tall tables and the other with lower tables. We ended getting seated immediately at the bar in the back. Service (5/5): During peak dinner hours, our party of 2 had a wait time of 5 min. We were asked to wait at the bar in the back but we decided to fully dine there. Since we sat at the bar, we had instant beers and ordering service! The bartender was quick and attentive. Food Custom burger (4/5): Cooked to a beautiful medium rare. The broiche bun handled the weight of the burger without falling apart. A very solid burger! Aioli fries (6/5): we asked for them to be cooked well done and they delivered! Their fries are cut nicely thin and they were made with a perfect crunch. The aioli gave a nice umami to an already great fry on it's own. Portion is big enough to share with 2-3 ppl. Would recommend!

Yelp
I was looking for a good burger spot in NYC, and I came across this Black Iron Burger. I have to start off saying the burger is perfect. It was very tender and juicy. Even their bun is soft texture. Service was good and quick. There's a bar inside as well for people to sit. Atmosphere felt cozy and warm. I'm definitely coming back again.

Yelp
Good service and good food. Good ambience if you just want something laid back to go out to. Nothing earth shattering, but a good, fairly priced meal.

Yelp
I came back here again and the burger was just as juicy and well seasoned. They use Cajun seasoning on the patty. The fries are good and even better air fried. Still not as much as I'd expect for a large order but good amount overall. Very happy with my meal.

A M.

Yelp
Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience. The drinks were subpar--honestly, the worst "whiskey sour" I've ever tasted. It just tasted like whiskey and sour mix, absolutely terrible. The service left much to be desired; our server coughed while bringing our food to the table. The food wasn't much better. "Medium rare" here seems to mean raw, and the thick-cut bacon was also undercooked and flabby. The only saving grace was the fries dipped in the Black Iron Aioli.

JT R.

Yelp
It was a cute casual place and was perfect for a quick dinner when we were on a schedule to be somewhere after. The staff was nice and friendly. We had drinks, and delicious guac, and seemed like homemade fresh chips, burgers, pulled pork, fries, onion rings, etc all were very enjoyable. If we had a question regarding the food they were very attentive to make sure everything was exactly as we wanted and took good care of us. We would come back another time. Enjoy.

Paul G.

Yelp
Nice spot with good, attentive service, clean and nice ambience. Burgers were good though nothing memorable. Burger could have have had beefier flavor. I ordered "special" smash burger. Order of homemade onion rings was fairly small but very good. Guacamole with yucca chips...chips were delicious...guacamole plain and needed a boost in flavor...tiny order of guac overpriced at $11.50. All and all...some good, some just ok.

Brandon L.

Yelp
My favorite burger spot in the city. The build-your-own burger is the best, for mine. And the staff are super friendly. Great food, great service!

Yelp
Came on a Friday night in a group of 6 for burgers and drinks. OK experience -no wait at 630pm -narrow space. Dark and dingy -wings were actually surprisingly gd -tough neighborhood in between port authority and penn station -happy hour specials including beers, marg, sangria from 3-6pm -I got the iberico burger. Which included an egg, ham and manchego cheese. Quite a mouthful that I had to separate the ham but thumbs up -the burger Pattie's are tasty despite their size 5oz -others had the patty melt and truffle. Hard pass for both -sides including the everything fries, garlic fries and onion rings were fast food quality -the American burger with bacon was also a fav (not on main menu) -tip was already included in our bill for a party of 6 -note they kicked us out when we stopped ordering alcohol as they needed the table. Which was fair -solid service OK experience but def avg for nyc

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch with my coworkers on a recent trip. The place was a little small but cute, they made it work. Our server was great and offered some recommendations for our table. Everyone enjoyed their food, my burger was delicious and the fries were a fan favorite. I always love a good burger place. 10/10 would be back !

Yelp
The burgers are TO DIE FOR!!! I'm not sure what the burger with the egg is but my friend said it was really good. It was literally so filling I couldn't even finish it. Staff is so so friendly and attentive and lovely overall! The ambiance is a sports bar and football games are always playing on the TV.

Dave J.

Yelp
Tasty burger, fun bar, cool staff. I was able to speak Spanish with the waitress and bartender.

Yelp
Came here for dinner after work as it's by my office. I was pretty satisfied with the food. The black iron burger was very juicy and the toppings it had were very delicious. The garlic fries were flavorful, but personally I like thicker fries, and these were on the thinner side. Service was also good. We got seated very quickly and the staff was friendly. Very much had a midtown after work vibe. It's very casual but a nice place to grab food or drinks with friends or coworkers after work. I would definitely come back if I'm ever craving a burger after work.

Yelp
Came here a little after 6pm on a Thursday night before a Knicks game, very close to MSG, 5 minute walk maybe? Perfect spot to grab a burger and a drink before the game. We had no wait upon walking in and were seated at a high top, bonus points for them having a daily happy hour. For my meal I opted for the Black Iron. Generous size burger cooked medium rare with double horseradish cheddar cheese, horseradish mayo and some caramelized onions. It was a double patty, bun was quality as well. I also had some of the Cajun fries which must be ordered separately, understandable being in the city. Would definitely return, very pleased with my meal.

Yelp
~ The Magnificent burger (4/5) ~ [Double 4oz all natural beef patty, swiss cheese, caramalized grilled onions, organic fried egg, applewood smoked bacon] I really enjoyed this burger!!!! The beef patties are very juicy with the perfect medium pink, and well seasoned (not too salty). The bun is well grilled with butter, especially the bottom bun, it didn't go all soggy and mushy even after few cuts and bites. The bacon is crispy yet not paper thin, which is the kind that I enjoy as it like it meaty and hearty. The Swiss cheese is there but sandwiched between the 2 patties, and it's quite a thin layer so I didn't get a lot of flavour from it. ~ Onion Ring (3/5) ~ Onion is sweet, fried to perfect crispiness and the batter cling to the onion quite well. However it is not seasoned at all, I would have liked it with salt or some seasoning to give it some savoury taste and saltiness. Will I be back? Yes I really liked the burger, and would like to come back to try others like the truffle burger!

Yelp
Let me say I was referred to eat here yesterday morning. So we made a reservation. We got here like 20min early. It was empty. I told them I had a reservation at 4pm for 2 people. Gave my name. Lady sat us at a table. Cool.... We had some wiggle room. Space was limited due to the size of the location, but it was very empty. we order and My daughter and I are talking about our day and a man(must be a mgr) comes over and rudely says are you guys 4 or not. I politely said no we are 2. He says well then you have to move. The bigger tables are for our larger parties. Cool no problem. Just so you know we told your hostess we were only 2 of us. He bypasses 3 high tops and moves us back to right in front of the bathroom door that is shielded by a curtain that doesn't close. I ask for a different table because that's gross i am not eating my meal near the rest room. The lady now walks us again past now 2 empty high tops for 2 and sits us by the front door hostess stand so now every time the door opens we get the cold and people breathing on us. The food was not great. You could get a better burger at Five Guys. Fries were not salted and bland. We were there all of 35 min from start to finish. What would have been the issue to leave us at the table. I completely understand if the establishment was jam packed. I would have not had an issue and would have moved graciously. The face that we were spoken to rudely and pushed around like a $ amount, was the reason this made upset. Not my favorite experience.

Yelp
Top notch burger place. Went with the classic burger with american cheese. Cooked perfectly medium. Friendly service with a good beer selection. Fries were big enough for two people. Definitely recommend this place if you want a good burger.

Yelp
Their motto is "Nobody beats our meat" and they do not lie. The burger I had at this place by far is the best burger I have eaten to date. The ingredients are high quality and the seasonings used are well balanced. I highly recommend Black Iron Burger.

Yelp
While hanging out in Manhattan on a Friday night, my girlfriend and I stopped by this restaurant to try out their burgers. This place was on our too visit list for a while, and we finally decided to stop by. We were going to see a Broadway Musical later in the evening, and this place was only a few blocks away. When we arrived, it wasn't crowded, so we were able to get seated right away. While deciding on which burgers to try, I ordered a beer to start. The beer was great and went down smooth. For our meals, we decided to go with the American Burger and the Iberico Burger. These seemed like the best and most popular ones to try out. We also ordered some sweet potato fries to split. The burger came out quickly, which I liked. The American Burger was the highlight of the two. Loved it was double patties, and that thick cut bacon on top was delicious. Also, that BBQ sauce used was amazing. Everything blended together perfectly. So juicy and flavorful. The other burger (Iberico Burger) was just average. Nothing special for this one. It got the job done and satisfied our cravings, but the American Burger is the way to go and a must order item. Overall, a good burger joint here.

Yelp
Cute and comfortable small pub with pleasant welcoming staff. We dined there last night arriving before the rush. I would definitely recommend sticking with Burger only. Veering off that was less than satisfactory. I had the Black Iron Burger and at first was little worried if I'd find a 2 patty burger too much and I actually found it just right. Nothing else served with the sandwiches, so I'd recommend sharing side of fries with someone as I could have had room for a few fries. My husband had the Chicken Club sandwich on sourdough and he felt it was a 3 out of 5 stars. We expected better quality for the price of the chicken sandwich. But the Burger was EXCELLENT & very DELICIOUS! I thoroughly enjoyed, tasted like good quality meat, cooked as asked and the toppings that came on the Black Iron Burger were a perfect flavorful combo. Definitely would go again & order same. Skip the chicken.

Yelp
Really great burgers! We dropped in after driving into the city and were promptly seated and taken care of by the waiter. Appetizer and food came out so quickly and everything was delicious!

Yelp
Though fries aren't included, Black Iron Burger is a bastion of delicious burgers at sane prices. Super fast lunch service and engaged staff in a considerably smaller space than the first location I tried.
google avatar

Susie H.

Yelp
Burgers at Black Iron Burger are fantastic! Their burgers are my favorite in Manhattan, NYC, especially "The Black Iron": perfectly seasoned, sizzling and juicy, double 4 oz. all-natural beef, double horseradish cheddar, stout caramelized grilled onions, and special horseradish mayo, and a side of the best truffle cheese fries to get to a whole new level of burger bliss. Truffle cheese fries never taste better than when you pluck them fresh and hot during a late-night date. I did discover Black Iron Burger on a date night.

Yelp
Definitely a good burger option if you're in the area! They have lots of signature burgers or you can build your own. I decided to go plain as usual and only paid $10. The burger was pretty good. They ask you how you like it and I think this was one of the only times in this city I've ordered it medium well and actually got it medium well. The fries were okay. The flavor was definitely there, but the fries themselves tasted low quality. The place was a little loud I think just due to it being a small place with lots of others talking so I had a bit of a hard time hearing my partner across the table a few times, but it wasn't too loud that it became frustrating. The staff were friendly and service was quite quick. We showed up right after getting off work in our offices nearby and we're seated immediately. Stop by if you have a chance and need to get your burger craving satisfied.

Yelp
Visiting NYC with my niece ..out shopping & we read this was the spot for a burger. Popped in & the tables seemed busy so we sat at the bar & glad we did. The bartender, Celeste, was so nice & we had the best service ( better than some expensive restaurants). We both agreed that we had the best burgers in our life!!! Tender, juicy, the choices for toppings. If I lived here, I'd be in every week. The onion rings are thinly sliced, but tasted fantastic!

Yelp
I have to say that the drinks are on point and yucca chips and guac was very tasty also. Our host Leroy was the best....he gave us a theater discount. We didn't have food because we wanted to bar hop before we saw the MJ show. The atmosphere was cool, calm, and collective. We will go again. Leroy was cool, came, and spoke about the MJ in Vegas. I would have given it a **** or *****, but we didn't stay long or eat there.

Kaiylah M.

Yelp
my cousin and i were figuring out where we could get dinner, and while we originally wanted pizza, all of the places were too packed -- we stumbled upon this place and were super satisfied with the result! we ordered one of the create your own burgers to share and it was delicious.... cooked perfectly and it wasn't soggy so the whole thing wasn't falling apart. we also got the garlic fries and those were gone in 2 seconds flat! our waiter was also very kind and witty, and the vibe of the restaurant was very lively. would definitely come here again!!

Schnell H.

Yelp
They are just as excellent as my first visit, yet I have been coming here for more than ten years. A cozy, small, and cozy spot to chill out and enjoy some delicious meals.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in for lunch as they opened while waiting for our hotel check-in around the block. Our server suggested the American burger, which has the thick-cut bacon, that we both ordered. 12/10 delicious! The burger is compact, dense and very flavorful. The thin-cut, crisp fries were cooked perfectly. And the Red Bull margarita was great! We might have to stop by again before we leave town, thank you for the great food and attentive service!

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon with a friend. We were in the mood for burgers and I remembered I always wanted to try this spot out when I worked near by. There was no line and was seated promptly. There is a bar towards the back. The place was not brightly lit but had a nice bar/restaurant vibe. A good amount of TVs that had football games on. I ended up ordering the Masterpiece ($17.25) which was really good. Only thing I would change about the burger was to have the eggs done over easy, other than that the medium rare burger was awesome. Got the sm fried ($6.45) and onion rings ($7.50) which were solid. Service was too notch. If your in the mood for a burger and you want to catch some games, I highly recommend this spot. I will be coming back and getting the Masterpiece with the eggs done over easy!

Yelp
3 & 1/2 ***Turkey Burger Specific Review*****Inspired by a long dormant Reddit thread I randomly stumbled upon RE: NYC's best Turkey burger I checked back in with this dwindling local mini chain that has stuck with me through the last 5+ years as likely the best contender for that rather esoteric title. I had first become acquainted with said Turkey burger some years back at the long defunct Flatbush Avenue branch in BK, which apparently along with most of the other branches has since gone the way of the dodo, to the point that at the time of this review's drafting there are only 2 branches standing both in central Manhattan including this one. Anyway, back to the turkey burger, it bucks the norm by being reliably juicy, and particularly flavorful in large part to to being aggressively seasoned by a tasty blend of zesty cajun spices. I usually forgo cheese as that kind of seems like it would be defeating the purpose of trying to go relatively healthier by ordering a turkey burger but I do add on the very tasty house aioli and maybe some nice slices of avocado as well to help accentuate the vibe. While I generally loathe brioche buns on any type of burger, the one's here are likely some of the least offensive I've sampled. That being said, that's likely why I've never been tempted to go for one of the actual real burgers here. Regardless, if you're in Manhattan and have the bizarre hankering for a turkey burger hit one of these remaining branches while they still exist, and if you find a better one in or around the city please message me about it!

For NYC food I feel like there has to be a lot better options out there. However this is a super SAFE, quality place if you just need quick and good food and want great service. Everything is "good", but based on our experience I would not expect amazing food. Wish I could give solid 3.5 stars. We came here because we were starving and this was one of the closest places around with a good rating, and it absolutely meets that mark. It's a good quick lunch stop when you're in between doing other things. Food: 3.5 stars. It was pretty good, was alright, nothing special or amazing. The fries were really great. The burger patty itself had good flavor, not greasy, decent portion for lunch leaving us satiated but not stuffed. Food seemed very fresh. On a warm summer afternoon we were craving iced tea. What we got appeared to be Nestea, which is so so so so so gross and doesn't resemble tea at all. Prices for food and drink were really affordable and not (comparatively) expensive at all. Ambiance/experience: kinda lackluster. 2.5 stars. Our high top table was bobbling and wobbling around and was super tiny yet we were seated as a group of 3. It was really awkward and the table was clearly sized for 2. Condiments like ketchup are readily available yet there was no salt. The ketchup was in an old school glass bottle which was fine, but had to do the old knife trick to get the ketchup to come out. This all was fine, just "alright". There didn't seem to be much special about the decor or place, typical pub like atmosphere. Service: Great 5 star service. We got really fast, friendly service and food came out super quick. The place is small enough that you can easily ask for something if needed, but each time the server walked by they also made eye contact which was a good "check-in". Servers were really friendly and professional. So bottom line, totally awesome for a good quick lunch stop and you can be in and out with a quick sit down meal in like 45 minutes. Solid 3 star food/atmosphere with 5 star service.

Yelp
The burgers here are so good! Definitely suggest stopping by if you're in midtown. Prices are affordable.

Yelp
What's divey-ish burger bar doing on a nondescript block in the garment district? No idea. But it's good. And a good place to stop before a concert at Madison square garden. We came in on a weekday and promptly sat. Nothing too fancy at all. Ordered a mushroom truffle burger and fries. It's a modest size though for the price I would've expected more $16 for a burger without fries is a bit steep. Thankfully the burger was juicy and full of flavor. The fries were shoestring and I could've eaten more if the portion was a bit bigger. Washed it down with a great draft beer and service was good. Overalll, a nice little find. Nothing fancy but for burgers and beer - really enjoyed it.

Yelp
Came in with a few friends before a show on a Saturday night. We were seated quickly considering it was midtown dinner on a weekend and we didn't have reservations. This burger place has been on my radar for a while so I wanted to come try it. It wasn't anything worth writing home about. The presentation of the burger was confusing but effective in showing me what was on it. The fries where expensive considering they weren't special. Everything needed some salt. I will say the fries were fresh. And midtown prices didn't gouge us here either. The service was fine. I just didn't think it was THAT special. But if you're in a pinch, it's fine.
