"Pure Bean might have the early-bird hiker crowd, but serious Idyllwild coffee drinkers go to Black Mountain. Hidden in the back of a rustic shopping center north of downtown, this minuscule shop focuses on sourcing and sustainability for all its beans. The menu is broken into different roast levels, with details on their partnerships with various coffee farms in regions that span from Vietnam to Tanzania. You can certainly order a cup and be on your way, but if you have time to spare, opt for the immersively geeky 75-minute coffee tasting. It costs $15 per person and includes three distinct pour-overs plus a cold brew." - Brant Cox

Google
Best cold brew in town! The coffee tastes great, it is served in a cool, re-usable, aluminum cup and it’s a generous portion compared to other local coffee shops! We loved the cabin-theme and charming ambiance! Highly recommend!

Google
I ordered a cold brew blend with honey syrup and a splash of half and half - outstanding coffee. They seem to take a lot of pride which I appreciate. And they use reusable cups!! If you’re in town stop by this place for sure. there is nice shaded seating outside

Google
Ordered the house cold brew with simple syrup and half-n-half. It was perfection in a cup! Absolutely delicious - we enjoyed our coffee beverages and played a card game with our kids on one of the outside picnic tables. It was a wonderful way to start the day.

Google
Very good coffee and a perfect stop for people who are serious about coffee. I got the specialty blend (Brazilian I think) and it has such a nice flavor. If you like lattes and other barista items this place is not for you. They have a few coffee condiments you can add like honey syrup, oat milk, and half & half but that’s it. My hubs loves and americano so this was perfect for us. We stopped at the donut shop on our way over so we could enjoy a little sweet treat with our coffee. The worker or owner there was very nice. Highly recommend.

We loveeee this place! Imma coffee lover, the owner was so friendly and knowledgeable, no wonder why the coffee was so amazing. Great atmosphere!!! Highly recommend!!!

Google
Go find this little coffee roastery tucked away in Idyllwild. I am not a coffee drinker (I can't handle caffeine). But it smelled so amazing, I ordered a decaf and they had my preferred condiments, honey and organic half and half. This pricey little cup was really top quality. Even I could tell the smooth flavor and great taste were primo, with friendly hipster service, and places to sit and enjoy your cup among the pines.

We stumbled upon the absolute cutest and hip coffee shop while wandering the town of idyllwild! Inside this shop there’s so many different coffee flavors and the owner was so bubbly, sweet, and passionate! I love that this shop uses reusable thicker cups as well. I asked about any tea options, and while there was only one option, it tasted so unique - like a mix of black tea with fruity, nutty notes. The patio is the perfect hangout spot too. My friends and I hung out there with our two dogs for about 45 minutes, and it literally felt like we were at a little cabin with how cozy the furniture was laid out. Try them out, this shop is awesome!

Freshly brewed coffee! For those who like their coffee dark roasted, the Honduras La Paz coffee was so good! The place is very quaint They also have coffee tasting for $10/person. Just book an appointment.

Yelp
One of the most accommodating and talented small coffee shops I've ever been to! We stopped by because of the good reviews and they are legit. The staff knows their stuff well and the coffee profiles are unique and definitely worth the drive. We went two days in a row because I had mistakenly left my purse and had driven all the way back to San Diego. I called and the staff immediately located my bag and secured it in a safe place. They even offered to mail my bag back because of the drive. The following morning they offered me a free coffee to apologize for the 'bad experience' but I was not disappointed at all. I enjoyed chatting with the baristas, and as a veteran barista myself this place is Great coffee, great people, and great conversation!

Yelp
Fantastic if you are looking for a homemade cup of coffee. Pour over and cold brew only. They definitely take pride in the craft. Small little shop with some outside seating. I only give it 3 stars because it is $7 for a cup of black coffee and the employee told me in a less than welcoming tone "we are a roaster, we don't do espresso" when I asked if they had a flat white. Not a crazy expectation for someone to ask for a flat white at a coffee shop. Wouldn't recommend the service.

Catrina R.

Yelp
This was a fantastic small little place that takes pride in their coffee. I got a cold brew latte and my husband got a pour over. This was a no frills (in a good way) place that somehow still felt artisanal. They were ready to customize everything to fit your tastes and needs. I'm new to coffee and he was quick to help me through figuring out what I'd like and I truly loved it! PS they give you a reusable cup. If you return for a refill it'd 2 dollars off. It's attached to a parking lot so parking is easy!

Diane M.

Yelp
Such a nice little spot in the town! We found this place online since we were coming in for the day. We saw they offered coffee tasting you can book online. It's $15 dollars a person, and very well worth it. You get a light roast, medium, dark roast and cold brew to try. The owner of the shop is very kind and talked us through each taste of each roast. A great casual experience to do in town, and the coffee was great! We even bought a bag of beans for home

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise. We were driving around Idyllwild looking for something new, different. We accidentally stumbled upon Black Mountain Coffee Roasting. We both love great coffee. Black Mountain is all about freshly roasted coffee in house, fine coffee roasted and brewed to perfection. I have two favorite joints in town for coffee. Black Mountain exceeded what I typically get from my favs. Today I had El Salvador Lomas Natural. $7. a cup. Not cheap. However, if you return their cup, you get $2. off the next. Price is okay when any venue delivers something amazing. What I experienced today was amazing! Fabulous outdoor space to kick back and enjoy java at its best. I've attached photos. The weather was perfect today, and we were beyond relaxed. We hung out with our dog and enjoyed coffee at its very best. Ronny took care of us. Super nice. Let me taste their special tea which I will definitely enjoy next time here. Solid 5 stars. However, how could they improve? 1. I like skim and/or part skim milk in my coffee. They only have half and half. Without details I have some digestive issues. I can't handle half and half. So, when returning here I need to drink my coffee black or bring some skim milk with me. At times this will be a deal breaker for me. 2. Food. I really wanted a croissant and/or pastry with my coffee. They just have coffee and tea. Maybe I can bring something next time? Bottom line? When I want the best cup of coffee in town I shall come here. This is coffee at it's very best. Lovely place, eager to return.

Yelp
Delicious cold brew coffee!! We read about Black Mountain numerous times online so knew we had to stop by on our trip to Idyllwild. The whole shop gives a rustic, mountain feel - fitting for the area! Loved their cold brew. Also love that they serve their to-go cold coffee in reusable cups. Those plastic cups can definitely add up, but these cups are much more sustainable. They do offer a coffee-tasting flight - make sure to make a reservation in advance if you want to do this!! Highly recommend coming here for a great cup of coffee.

Ash D.

Yelp
Incredible service and an excellent cup of coffee. The medium roast recommended to me was exactly what I was looking for and they take serious pride in their pour overs. People complaining about not getting flat whites or a cappuccino are not to be taken seriously. They do one thing here and they do it perfectly. The service was phenomenal and the interior is cozy.

Vincent C.

Yelp
I'm not a coffee drinker, but wifey drinks it all day long. She wanted to come here, but I told her that Black Mountain Coffee is a real deal coffee shop. As in, they don't make all these fancy fufu drinks. The owner was very friendly and educated us about coffee. The shop looks small, but there's a back patio for private tasting. We'll for sure come here again!!!

Jen N.

Yelp
I was excited to try this spot, as I love that they seem to be really focused on good coffee and preparing it in the best way. They only do pour overs or cold brew - no espresso/latte type stuff. They also sell bags of coffee as well. The man working was very welcoming and friendly. It does take some time to get your coffee, but that's the nature of a pour over. They had many different options from light up to dark roasts from many different countries. I do wish the menu had a little more description, but they are happy to answer questions. I got a Vietnamese medium roast, which was very good. I will definitely be back when in Idyllwild. I love that there is an option like this in a small town.

Jin K.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. The barista person was super friendly and nice. They have pour overs and cold brews only which I loved and the coffee beans he recommended me that I got as a gift for my family and my girlfriend's family, they love it the most. The place also feels cozy and nice. It has some outdoor seating areas you can hang around too. Highly recommended! Buy the beans!

Daniel K.

Yelp
The staff is very friendly, and are always happy to talk about the subtleties and nuances of coffee-craft. Idyllwild is a very friendly community as a whole. Their Rustic Cabin Blend is a coffee masterpiece! My go-to daily blend, and one of the best coffees I've ever had.

Wendy B.

Yelp
I think we have just found our go-to coffee roastery when in Idyllwild. Good to know. This great little coffee spot is situated in a cluster of rustic cabin, one-of-a-kind stores just a few blocks outside of the little downtown. It's tiny inside, possibly big enough to accommodate 5 patrons, with boho cute ambiance. It appears to be a popular local hang out even though there are other coffee houses in town. Not much in the way of indoor seating, you can sit outdoors under the pines and slurp your hot brew as noisily as you wish. There was only one barista on duty, but that's about all you can squeeze behind the counter anyway. I was desperately in need of a pick-me-up, a caffeine jolt, and so I started with a freshly brewed cup of their drip coffee. What I chose was a medium roast, because he informed me they had no dark roast. I believe it was a Guatamalan bean (I can not be sure). I suffered a slight bit of culture shock as he rang up $7 (small), mostly because I rarely buy coffee by the cup anymore (I choose to buy my own beans and grind and brew my own). Medium roast is not my usual preference, and this particular one I found a bit too acidic, floral, and thin. But I had also intended to buy coffee grounds to brew each morning in our lodge room for the next 3 days. So after eyeing their available bags of roasted beans on their shelf, I asked the barista, which was the most popular of their coffees? Ah! One they had just finished roasting, still unbagged in the back. The Rustic Cabin blend, he replied. So, on impulse, I bought it, untried. He ground the beans for me, and I happily went on my way. Such a delicious aroma, I was beginning to understand why it was the peoples' choice! And the resulting brew turned out to be incredibly perfect. That lovely 12 oz bag lasted me for at least a month after. And I saved the bag, lest we forget! I now have one more reason to look forward to another Idyllwild visit.

Yelp
I have always loved this little hidden gem! Compared to pure, I love the coffee here better (still love pure but would go there for other type of drinks bc black mountain has the best coffee in town! Do not accept any argument on this! They are the BEST!). They recently (maybe not recent? I just haven't visited Idyllwild for more than a couple months) introduced the nitro cold brew. Delicious! It comes in an aluminum cup. If you keep the cup and bring back next time, you get $2 off! It's huge!! The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable. It's very enjoyable to watch them prepare your drinks too! I have always been intrigued about the coffee tasting but it's a bit pricey (makes sense, just that I didn't want to spend that money). It's rare to see coffee tasting so I absolutely adore that!! My goal is to get ever single type of their coffee over time so I will just take my time for my full course coffee tasting! Inside is small but can accommodate probably 6 people. There's a nice outdoor area. Just that it gets hot and not enough shade in the summer. But you know what, it's so peaceful sitting out with some sun and pine tree. I can spend half day here. They do have a restroom, just ask( if you end up staying longer and having like 3 drinks here lol).

Zoe L.

Yelp
This place cherishes what it does and understands the value of excellent work in its roasting and in its service. I only buy coffee here, in Idyllwild, as it is the best the town has to offer.

Yelp
After driving for 1 hour from Palm Springs to Idyllwild...my friend and I landed at our first stop of the day, Black Mountain Coffee Roasting. With a great deal of enthusiasm, we placed our orders, his was regular coffee and mine was of course matcha. Except that they do not serve matcha. This shop only serves coffee and are VERY specific about what they do. I was a little dismayed that none of the choices were good for me, but I guess I shouldn't assume that a coffee shop would service matcha as well... right? A very well-restrained and particular barista stood before us and took our orders. There was a silence in the air even though the shop was filled with other customers either waiting to place their orders or waiting to get their orders. Our enthusiastic demeanors went from 1000 percent to almost zero. We ended up hushed and quiet like everyone else who was standing there. We (He) came in for a cup of coffee, and he got his coffee, but we purchased a bag of beans as well. I walked out with a cup of coffee but I hated it. We didn't expect to start off our interaction with the barista ( after driving for 1 hour) with an argument over an epistemological theory of what is or isn't coffee. The questions were very precise with the expectation of precise answers. There were extreme limitations on the types of milk offered or would be allowed in the coffee. I was dismayed that we had to start our adventures for the day in such an exacting fashion, and we had a good laugh about it all day long as we wandered around Idllywild. Moral of the Story... It's coffee, don't be picky. Take it the way they want to serve it to you. After using all the fanciest coffee makers in the world at home... I'm back to using a Keurig Coffee Maker because I can find the pods in any store anywhere I go. It's good to keep life simple.

Yelp
Delicious coffee I recommend the Vietnam Lotus and Mexico coffee they were really good without anything added. Perfect mountain aesthetic. The service was slow but it was just one very tranquil guy making the coffee so there's that. Third time going and I'll be going back

Dena S.

Yelp
Save some time to visit and stay a while at this local gem. Kid and doggo friendly. Barista Ronnie is knowledgeable and welcoming. I went in looking for a cold brew coffee, which was great but, was blown away by a couple long-brewed teas!

Zahar B.

Yelp
The service can use a bit of help but the cold brew is worth it I really enjoy a milky cold brew ! The location was beautiful on the outside but snug on the inside! I give it 9/10 one of the best coffee places on the mountain.

Han L.

Yelp
Amazing coffee shop. The cascara was amazing, It's a must. Super friendly workers and again, you have to get the cascara.

Cindy T.

Yelp
Black Mountain Coffee Roasting is such a cute little place in Idyllwild! It's perfect to grab in the morning and walk around the town, coffee in hand. It's a cute little shop, but when you walk in, you smell the wonderful aromas of different brews of coffee that smell delightful. I don't think you can go wrong with the coffee you choose, but cold brew is my jam so I decided to give that a try. FAVE ITEMS: - Cold Brew - Vietnam Lotus: so good, add a splash of oat milk and it's the perfect amount of creaminess. It came in the cutest little aluminum cup -- I wasn't sure I could even keep it but you sure can! Note that if you come back with the cup you can get a refill for cheaper. SERVICE: barista is super nice and recommends diff items if you are at a loss for what to get. PARKING: a parking lot was available right next to coffee shop! PRICE: on the pricier side, but hey if you're there for a vacation, you're going to indulge! If you are in Idyllwild, you definitely have to stop by this place! It's definitely worth it -- if you check in, you can get $2 off of a larger bag of coffee.

Yelp
Dropped in after a backpacking trip to grab a cup for the drive home.. Good - pour over coffee ($7 a cup) is very delicious, HH & oat milk avail. The bulk beans smelled great too (12 oz $22). After we left I wish I'd bought a bag of beans to take home, as that's about the going rate for high end small cafe beans in So Cal and they smelled excellent. The space is quaint and pretty, nice patio seating outside with padded chairs, restroom Bad - $7 for a cup of coffee is absurd. Good coffee, but still absurd. Youngish dude who helped us (who Jules from Pulp Fiction might refer to as Flock of Seagulls) was overbearing and smug. Really uncomfortable interaction. We tried our best to be polite and patient, and bail ASAP.

Flora H.

Yelp
Such a great spot! Definitely the best coffee in town. I only wish they were open on more days. I loved the Cascara tea - tea made from the dried skin of coffee cherries. Apparently this is really good for the environment as it produces less waste, but it also happens to be not just very interesting but also delicious. They will give you a sample of anything if you ask, so definitely try this if you've never had it before. Not sure why it's so rare!

Smitha A.

Yelp
Do yourselves a favor and go see Reyna at Black Mountain Coffee in Idyllwild. $10 for a tasting is a bargain. She knows so much about coffee and was able to pinpoint our flavor profile with just our words about what we liked in a coffee. We tried the Vietnam Lotus (a tad light) and the bourbon barrel coffee (great first sniff). But our hands down favorite was the Sumatra. We are so lucky to have found our "special coffee" in our home away from home. They also have a coffee club which can be shipped. We opted not to do it since we are there so often and can pick up coffee whenever we want. My husband and daughter really enjoyed their hot chocolate too! So please, go visit this super cute place in a less travelled part of Idyllwild. The outdoor area is so peaceful and they know their coffee!

Mahmut E.

Yelp
Very nice place, it's very cozy. They have garden seating too, there's also a couch inside the store. Coffee was very tasty. They do pour over so it was all fresh. Customer service was also friendly. We also tried chocolate but it was just OK. Overall it's a very pleasant experience.

Yelp
one of the best coffee shops i've ever had. their cold brew was out of this world. Plus the workers are so knowledgeable and friendly.

Cindy N.

Yelp
Never done coffee tasting, and although my bestie and I have technically ruined the full experience of it because we love to douse our cups with creamer and sugar (Yes, we're basic lol) we still had a nice time tasting the different fruity notes of coffee. We also got to really connect with the owner and his staff while we hung out listening to their cool playlist. They're great people who are passionate and knowledgeable about great tasting fresh coffee. The place was easy to find tucked in the heart of Idyllwild. For only $10/person you get to choose what you kind of roast to do for your tasting, or a variety. Totally worth it, and everyone here is very down to earth!

Sue B.

Yelp
This is our favorite coffee place in Idyllwild. This weekend, we tried three different pour overs and then chose our favorite beans to take home. It's nice they have the variety to try so many different beans. They have several light, medium, and dark roast beans available. They do roast on the premises. We are kind of surprised they don't do a drip coffee for those who just want to run in and grab something. As far as we can tell, it looks like they only do pour overs, cold brew, and a flight of coffee for tasting. If you like to have a sweet treat with your coffee, the only thing that we saw they had was a pre-decorated sugar cookie and maybe some chocolate bars. They have a nice big seating area outside. We'll be back.

Malorie F.

Yelp
Great coffee shop while visiting Idyllwild! The owners are so kind and genuine! They let us try samples of their cold brew and iced tea! Everything was so fresh and refreshing! They even serve their iced drinks in a reusable cup that makes for a great camping cup!

Josie Y.

Yelp
Talk about a hidden gem. We were walking around this very quaint area where absolutely everyone was friendly and wanting to chat. I got the earl grey iced tea which was to perfection for a quick break along our walk. We sat inside where their are comfortable but limited amount of seating. The owners were very friendly and their kids were as well; we really enjoyed the laid back interactions with everyone. The motif was adorable and the outside area as well was relaxing, it was just a bit too cold for us to sit outside at the time.

Caroline P.

Yelp
We went for a scenic drive one day in Palm Springs and came here for a coffee break. The coffee was SO good! A big note is they don't do espresso, a few people came in looking for lattes. I absolutely loved the dark roast drip I had, and if we had more time, would have loved to stay for a coffee tasting. I'm very glad we bought a bag of beans on a whim so we can have some more of their great coffee at home.

Grace N.

Yelp
The coffee beans here are so so good! My boyfriend and I bought some beans from Chris, the owner, earlier in the year when they had a pop-up at one of the events at the garden center, and the only thing we regretted was not buying more bags of their delicious coffee beans back then! Now whenever we are in Idyllwild we always make sure to stop by the shop to enjoy some delicious coffee. This boutique coffee shop is tucked away in the Oakwood Village area. The owner is a lovely couple that runs the shop themselves, with their cute lovely kids. The menu is very simple so you won't need to go crazy over it. Currently they have the order/pickup set up right at the door, so it's very convenient. Their cold brew is very good and also the decaf! It's not on their menu but I asked if they had any and Chris made it for me. So yummy an iced decaf with a splash of cream. Their iced tea is also delicious. There are plenty of shady outdoor sitting area, great place to just sit and hang out. I definitely recommend everyone to find this yummy boutique coffee shop and try them out, you wont be disappointed!!!!!

Jenny L.

Yelp
Hidden gem alert! We had the most magical experience this afternoon with our cup of cold brew outside on the picnic bench. If you are a coffee snob, love local flavors and coffee tastings, this is your spot. They roast their coffee onsite and only do pour overs, cold brews/ nitro, and tastings. For fancy lattes and cappuccinos, go to higher ground. This is a mom and pop shop, so you'll see their kids running around as well- very cute! I will be back for their tastings!

Kevin M.

Yelp
Lovely to see how this place is grown over the years! Some truly wonderful coffee by people who know their coffee! Enjoy your cup there and take some home for later!

MIchael C.

Yelp
I've been a part of the Black Mountain Coffee club for a few years. I love this stuff! The coffees are consistently roasted to perfection. They have a wide variety to choose from. Oh, and the owners are awesome people!

June M.

Yelp
Awesome little spot. If you're a coffee aficionado, you'll love this place for its menu featuring unique and interesting coffee profiles. And if you're not an aficionado (like me), they are super friendly and will help you pick out the right drink. They have a huge patio area outside where you can sit under the trees and enjoy your drink. And enjoy it you will; it was one of the best cold brew coffees I've ever had (and strong, too!). Great vibes and great coffee, all around a top notch spot.

Julie B.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this gem recently visiting idyllwild and it's got all the feels! Nice people, great coffee, their earl grey iced tea on tap is mind blowing. It's teeny tiny yet welcoming & charming. Plenty of place to sit outside and a adorable jungle gym & hammock for the kiddos. The owner is sweet as pie. Can't wait to come back!

Zack N.

Yelp
Great spot for delicious coffee on a cold mountain morning. Stop in for the best cup in town.

Yelp
Coffee! Tea! Products to brew your own coffee! Kettles! Super-cute store front! I remembered quickly glancing at Yelp before hubby and I drove up here for a weekend getaway about this place, and was thinking of dropping by. Finding it being right around the corner from our cabin meant that we definitely went not once, but twice in the two days we were in the area. They impressed me on the first visit, they impressed me on the second visit, and, yes, will visit again whenever we're in the area. They're that good, you guys! Let me start with the customer service. EXCELLENT customer service. They took all questions my hubby and I had without being flummoxed or any bad attitudes. They were knowledgeable, very helpful, and was anticipating any of our needs left and right. Super-prepared. Also, they got merch! They have different products so you can brew your own coffees at home, and had some of their roasted beans available for sale. Pour-over packages for you to take home and brew yourself aren't always available in-store, so you'd want to give them a call perhaps a week in advance (I'm guessing on the timing) so that they can have it for you on your visit. I was so excited about their merch, specifically, STICKERS! I love stickers! Let me move onto their drinks. - I had their cold brew (black, no sugar, no milk, no froth/head) on the first visit. Great bitterness, brewed correctly (didn't get that yucky sour taste), great roasting flavor, and I didn't have those twitchy jitters afterwards. - Hubby had their iced earl grey tea, and, wow, we were impressed that it tasted pretty good. We've had plenty of shops where the tea was either poor quality leaves (or just dust), or it was brewed incorrectly, or it was on the menu as an afterthought for non-coffee drinkers. But the iced tea was pretty good! So good that hubby decided to get it again during our second visit, while I got a hot decaf coffee. - For the second visit, I decided on a decaf coffee. The hot decaf coffee did not scald my lips when I first sipped it, and was soooo good in flavor; you could just tell that the bean they grounded from was lovingly roasted, as no part of my coffee tasted water down, and you just got that full, uniform flavor with every sip. Also, no weird caffeine jitters; remember kids, decaf doesn't mean "no caffeine"; it just means less caffeine. I was also comfortable in being able to sleep a few hours later, which I could never do with any other coffee chain. Ha, I ended up not finishing the decaf coffee that evening and did put it in the mini fridge so I could have it the following morning as "iced" coffee. And, wow, it was still pretty good a day later. Thank you, Black Mountain Coffee Roasting, you're all aces in my book! I'm by no means a coffee connoisseur, but BMCR fulfilled all of my needs on both of my visits, and, damn, I'm craving one of their coffees now. Love!

Vidal A.

Yelp
Truly amazing coffee! First time Ive tried 4 roasts and all were great! Cafe has a cozy, warm feel. Barista was very friendly and informative. Must try!

Phalen D.

Yelp
We went in on Saturday afternoon and my husband was looking to do a tasting but they were busy and couldn't accommodate... understandable. They said to try back Sunday that it's usually slower. We went in the morning around 9:30 Sunday morning, my husband was looking to purchase a few bags of coffee and wanting to do a tasting first to decide ( paid tasting) the girl working said you had to book the tasting online... we were not told this the day before and the place was literally empty she was sitting on the customer side of the bar doing nothing when we arrived. We asked if it was possible to still do one since he wanted to purchase bags and it was empty and she said like it was the biggest imposition that we would both have to do it... I personally hate coffee so did not want to purchase a tasting myself. So she sent us on our way without offering any suggestions or compromise. We went to pure coffee house around the corner and the service was excellent.

the cutest little coffee shop in the cutest little town! My friends and I were camping and HAD to get some coffee at a local shop before heading down the mountain on our way home. We found this shop on yelp and were in love with the area as soon as we pulled into the lot. I got the Nitro Cold Brew and it was PERFECT. They were served in aluminum recyclable cups and my drink stayed cold for so long. The owners were very friendly and the place was ALIVE with kiddos :') very family friendly spot!

Yelp
Excellent service and delicious pour over. Ronnie is an expert coffee connoisseur. His space is warm and welcoming. My first visit and will definitely be back.

Yelp
This was really good - ground-on-the-spot coffee - which is so unique and customized just for you. Not too bitter or burnt, a rich, full taste. Such comfy couches you can sit on outside in the back. The only drawback of this spot was arriving on Friday around 11am to no one there, even though their Yelp listing says they're open. We went back to nearby Higher Grounds, which is open every day and more reliable.

Yelp
Fan of pour over and/or cold brew coffee? Then you'll want to stop at this coffee roaster in Idyllwild for a cup of coffee or beans. Figuring out what type of bean or profile of coffee you like? Order a flight of coffee to determine what beans to take home.

Yelp
I just had coffee from Black Mountain Coffee. It was simply amazing. I requested a dark roast it was the smoothest most delicious cup of coffee. Chris and Katie are amazing hosts, knowledgeable and really listen to their customers in order to find their guests perfect roast. God bless you two. You have hit it out of the park with your charming coffee shop!

Yelp
#BlackGold. My lady friend and I had just finished a great meal over at Casitas Mexican and were feeling post carb-load sleepy and found ourselves in desperate search for a nice strong cup of coffee. We hit the lost dutchman's, Nitro Coffee, gold mine!! I let the senior coffee scientist behind the controls guide my selection. Cool and smooth, rich and creamy with hints of chocolate and a few other intangible, yet somehow familiar, notes. Just what the Dr. ordered. No joke this place has first rate nitro infused coffee! They were extremely busy Memorial Day weekend so they weren't running a tasting but I'll definitely be back to sample the other varietals. By the way everyone working there was super nice and excited to share their creations.

Yelp
Hands down, the best coffee in Idyllwild! Definitely a business that cares about its customers and the community.

Yelp
Cute spot, I don't like that they low key shamed me for wanting creamer in my nitro cold brew. To each their own.
