Black Mountain Grill

Black Mountain Grill is one of our favorite neighborhood spots in Henderson. The menu is consistently great, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. We make a point to come here every time we’re visiting, and it has never let us down. Reliable, comfortable, and always a good meal, which is exactly what you want in a local favorite.

The decor and ambiance are great. Nice dining area and separate sport bar if that’s your thing. Food was very tasty and moderate prices. Service was friendly and attentive.

The worst service and food including Managers response! Here is a picture of the bread we were giving since we had been waiting so long! Mashed Potatoes had more green onions in it than potatoes!

Food is delicious! Great selection of wine and great deal for 50% off wine bottles on Wednesday. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that service is good but not amazing. The staff is young and probably just don't have the experience but they try their best and I do appreciate that. We have been here a couple times and will be back for sure.

Food was great. 3 of us ordered the Hanger steak and another the shrimp scampi pasta. Everyone's plate was clean when we were finished. Steaks were cooked perfectly and everything was flavorful. My issue is if we asked the bus boys for anything they would say we had to wait for the server. I also asked for extra dressing for a small side salad and it was $1 more. I expect it from lesser restaurants just not one like this. The simple things were also not done like clearing the wine glasses when no one ordered wine and not clearing old glasses after replacing with refilled drinks which took time to get those. Outside of those small things everything else was great.

#Nofeardining earned here right off the bat. Mari, our server, provided excellent dinner choices which turned out to be the suprise of the evening. I had prime rib with cheesy jalapeño mashed potatoes, she has crab stuffed halibut. 10 stars!!! This was by far the best dinner we have had in las vegas. Surpassing three George's, and every bit as good as Mastro's in Beverly Hills, the flavor point, meal value, and portions were spectacular 👌 bring your date here, nice decor, awesome environment.. WELL DONE!!!!

Great food, service was quick and awesome. Food came quick, as did the check. We will be back! I had the crab stuffed halibut and my wife had the BBQ Ribs.

Good atmosphere, very nice server. Food was a major letdown. Beef satay and stone fired pizza were both okay. However, we waited at least 40 minutes (but I believe more) to receive what was supposed to be two medium well burgers (bison and regular), and both were not just well done but way over done. My bison burger was almost hard. Both had burnt taste. The beer battered fries and onion rings were both very good, but what's the point when the burger is so bad? They did give us a complementary upside down apple pie ala mode to make up for the terrible burgers, and that was an excellent dessert. Although we could have had our burgers redone, after waiting 40+ minutes for the first two, of course we don't want to wait just to receive bad burgers again. Will not be coming back.

FIRST TIME IN Was not planning to come here so I was kind of moody--The Steakhouse I had chosen is closed for renovations and I was like, UGH, Now what but realized Black Mt Grill was down the street somewhere, could not figure out where by memory so we drove past it but decided to swing back, its not ON Eastern but off to the side of Walgreens or CVS (Cannot remember) Anyways, it was nice inside, clean, well lit, homey--The hostess was patient with me as I hurt my leg and was slow. The Booths are super roomy and comfortable, the tables move which is great when you are hurting and need to move around a lot. I ordered an Iced Tea w/lemon and a Beyond Burger-No cheese of course. It was well cooked, delicious, flavorful. I also got fries, these fries are the best I have had and I am posting this next part just for me because I read my own reviews to remember what I got/what my experience was just in case it's a while in between visits. GET THE FRIES. CRISPY, LIKE BEER BATTERED DELICIOUSNESS. They also had a buy 1 get 1 free special going on so my brother who ordered a Chicken Pesto sandwich got it for free. The only negative for me is that I asked for a To go cup for my Iced tea as to not waste it and they didn't have that... I have been in some really nice Italian restaurants and even they have to go cups so I found that odd... And my brother left his glasses on the table and the waiter ran out and caught us at the car, that was pretty nice of him to do! We will be back--They have an angel hair Pomodoro on the menu and fish and chips (I am a Pescatarian--so fish, eggs and Plant Based) so that sounds good. Oh and they have breakfast and Id like to try that. :)

This is our second time here. The first time we visited, the food was excellent I had the fish and chips, and they were great. This time, I ordered the Blackened Ahi & Watermelon Salad, but unfortunately it was overdressed. I wish I had asked for the dressing on the side. It was disappointing, since the salad was too heavily dressed to enjoy.

I've been coming to this bar/restaurant for a year or so and usually love it. The food is great, the vibe is fun, and most of the staff, especially the bartenders, are awesome. But last night's experience with the bartender on duty (I believe her name was Deirdra or something close) was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to leave feedback. My mom and I came in around 10:30 PM. I have food allergies and asked a simple question about the mashed potatoes ( which I've never had from them). She immediately dismissed me with, "I don't have time for that. Just look at the menu." I was polite and calm, just trying to avoid getting sick, and it wasn't busy, so there was no reason for that kind of response. She continued being short and unprofessional the rest of the night, mocking other staff and guests, ignoring us for long stretches, and letting our food sit in the window for over 15 minutes. When it finally came out, it was cold. When I pointed it out, she said nothing, just grabbed the plate from me mid-sentence and walked away. After her shift ended, there were even unnecessary comments made to the next bartender about our visit, which felt unfair given how often we come in and how much we usually spend. Once she left, the atmosphere improved. The next bartender was friendly, helpful, and even acknowledged she had been rude for no reason. I still like this place and want to keep supporting it, but that kind of treatment made the whole experience feel off.

I am a little torn on this review because we used to go here regularly but have less frequently because of how it is inconsistent. On a good night, this place has great service and food. On an off night it just misses the mark. So some times a 5 star, sometimes a 2-3 star. Big space though, and they can accommodate groups, but I'd call ahead to reserve.

This was my first visit after living in this neighborhood for 8 years! Well, it won't be my last. I invited a group of friends to join me here for dinner, which was a good decision. The menu had a good variety, the service was excellent, the setting was comfortable, and there was a low noise level. Parking was good. I made reservations, and it helped get us seated quickly. I ordered the Crab-stuffed Halibut with rice and broccoli. The Halibut melted in my mouth. All my friends gave a 5-star rating to their meals, too. The restaurant chef did a fine job serving the beautifully prepared and presented dishes.

Went to Black Mountain Grill on a Friday afternoon to attend a Golden Knights watch party with one of my local meetup groups. How have I driven past this place so many times before but have never been inside? This is a very cozy neighborhood bar and grill that's perfect for watching the Golden Knights games and all other sorts of games. We had our own section of the restaurant reserved for our meetup group, which was in the back near the entrance to the patio area. This section here had a perfect view of the TV to watch the game, but one complaint that we had was that our table was directly above the AC and it was freezing. By any means I am not a huge day drinker, but I ordered a Bellini cocktail to start off with, which is a mix of peach schnapps and champagne. Some ladies in my group ordered a chocolate martini, which is literally chocolate milk with alcohol and a drizzle of chocolate syrup inside. As much as I liked my Bellini cocktail, I could only have one because I drove here. I was interested in having a late lunch here but didn't want anything too big, so I ordered a pepperoni pizza for myself. Complimentary bread with butter was also included. There were a few other dishes that made an appearance, but the only one that I can remember now was the French Onion Soup. The pizza was good but it was a bit greasy on the bottom. They have a happy hour, which runs from Monday-Thursday from 2-6pm at the bar and at their lounge area, located on the second floor I believe. I really enjoyed Black Mountain Grill and I would like to come back here next time and join them for happy hour. Also, our Golden Knights won the game! Woot!

It's been a while since we have eaten at Black Mountain. Dinner with friends. They honored our reservation on a busy Saturday night (nice!). Miranda, our server, was at our table soon after we sat down. Service was excellent throughout. My wife and I decided to share the full rack of ribs ($32) with a side of sweet potato fries ($2 add on). Ribs were incredibly meaty and fall off the bone tender. Better than we have had at many rib joints. Excellent service, excellent food, fair prices - definitely going to come back soon.

Food was really good. Took my sister for her birthday to dinner. She had stuffed halibut and chocolate martini, she loved it. I had the tomato basil soup with mountain salad, and we shared the bacon wrapped shrimp, excellent, it was very good. The only complaint was took way too long to get our food, service was great.

Absolutely recommend this place try their stuffed halibut. I found it to be a delicious entrée although, I prefer it with mashed potatoes over rice.

Dinner for four adults last night. Service Kylie was excellent; five stars all the way. I had the Bourbon-Glazed Salmon and it was so good that I ate every last bite. Truly excellent. It's normally served with sticky white rice which I am not supposed to eat, nor do I like sticky rice. Kylie offered to substitute one of the sides, so I had asparagus. My friend had Chicken Piccata. I too love Piccata but was afraid that at a place like BMG, they wouldn't take the time to tenderize the chicken breast and it would be dry and tough. They didn't really tenderize it but it was much thinner than a whole breast. My friend said that it was flavorful, not dry and one of the best Chicken Piccatas she's had with just the right amount of capers. Next time. Hubby ordered the Filet Mignon to be medium rare, which the inside was. They put a lot of glaze on the exterior of the steak before cooking it, so the outside was crunchy. He doesn't like a crunchy Filet. Also, he could tell that it had never been seasoned with salt nor pepper. Good but not perfect. Bill was correct. Service was excellent. The blade in Hubby's steak knife was very loose, moving back and forth in the handle as he moved the knife. He asked for a new steak knife. That knife was also loose in the handle, although not as much as the first one. They need to inspect their steak knives, tighten them if possible and, if not, replace them. This is a safety issue.

Wow! Everything was so good!! The service was great!! The atmosphere was so great! Loved the decor. Our party of 8 was sat at the round table in the semi private room. It was perfect! We tried the chicken piccata, chicken Marsala, Korean short ribs, fish and chips, Mac and cheese, cheese pizza, French onion soup, and the jalapeño cheddar mashed potatoes. The dessert was great too! We had to e black mountain sundae and the crème brûlée. Loved them both! Everything was so delicious! We will be back for sure!

Good reasonable food and drinks for late dinning, Comfortable seating and low sounding music.

I come to Black Mountain Grill at least once a week -- the food is always great and consistently prepared, and Paul is a big part of why I keep returning. He's a true professional: kind, attentive, and welcoming every single time. Paul remembers the small details, provides excellent service without fail, and genuinely enjoys what he does. Black Mountain Grill is lucky to have him.

New residents to the Henderson area, and I think this will be one of our go-to spots. Great food and cocktails. I love the ahi tuna entree and steak salad, my husband is a fan of the smothered pork chop. Great atmosphere, friendly servers. A bit more elevated than the usual pub fair in Henderson. Highly recommend for a casual outing or to have a nice meal while watching your favorite local sports event.

Consistency is the Key to Success in any business! At BMG they need to work on it.... We have been in when things are good, okay and WTF. Tonight the service was not bad just slow. They have the servers stretched out in a couple far away rooms so it takes a while to get noticed. The bartenders seem to focus more on Gamers than tables cocktails as they took forever. Tell me in what screwed up Galaxy they train bartenders to garnish a Whiskey and Diet with limes???Epic Fail! There seems to be some cost cutting issues going on here as well we had old limp bruised pickles, and the Ranch Dressing was super watered down, oh and they charged an extra 1$ for a side The wings were excellent however! The Smoked Ricotta was the Highlight of the Roasted-Not Roasted beet salad. It's not really a salad because it doesn't have any greens or dressing???? Just Cheese, Beers and Walnuts.

Black Mountain Grill STEALS $$ from their customers!!! 4 weeks in a row, I've ordered take out of the same 2 meals. Last week, I realized I did not receive all my change back. Today it happened again, so I asked the hostess to count back my change. She stated they don't give back exact change, they "round the amount." My bill was $59.31. (She gave me 2 $20's) Rounding then should be $21.00. The manager standing next to her explained this is POLICY DIRECTED BY THE OWNER! Seriously? It's not a lot of $, but it's the principle! I usually always hand the change & a tip back to the server, but that's my choice! It's my money! Sadly, this money does not go to the hard working servers, it goes straight to the house! Absolutely insane way of doing business & they have lost a long time loyal patron. *** I think we can figure if the owner has made it "policy" by deciding how much change to return to the customer, she is making a decent amount of $ by sheer volume.

Fast and friendly service with a smile. Visiting Vegas for a work trip and got to connect with one of my childhood besties. Asked her to pick a local spot she's been excited to try. Appetizer was fun and playful (shrimp cargot), salad was fresh and creative (ahi and watermelon), main event was BBQ pizza on a cauliflower crust. I'm always looking for handmade crusts (not boxed frozen options), this crust did not disappoint. Restaurant was clean, booth was perfect for quiet conversation. Creme Brûlée? Yes please. Everyone needs a little something sweet. As a GF option, it hit the spot!

Treated like shit - Horrible place - horrible service. Went there tonight, manager wanted me to order food from the Hostess, didn't even offer me a seat at the bar to watch the game and look over the menu. I was treated like shit today and I'll never go back.

My husband and I eat dinner here once a week. We love it! The dishes that I love are: the chicken Marsala with mushroom risotto, French dip, filet mignon. Service is always good. They are quick to get you in and out. Don't forget dessert apple walnut upside down is the best.

HAPPY HOUR HAPPY HOUR HAPPY HOUR CANCELLATION Yes, it's TRUE‼ What bar owner would do this especially In Henderson? She could have reduced menu items but to cancel it completely is beyond the pale‼ We will be going to competition bars in the area now.

We came here with a group from the office so we all arrived at different times. We had a table of 12. We had to ask for an additional table to be added on because the chairs were all smushed together. We were at a high top table. No consideration was given to the fact that we have to pull the chair out and climb up onto the chairs. The table was extremely inconvenient. Not to mention the chairs are terrible. They were so uncomfortable. The rungs were really far down so if you're short...good luck. They seem very high. I have a counter height, dining room table, so it's not like I'm not used to sitting in a high top chairs nearly every day. These were also very narrow and just were extremely uncomfortable and will be probably the sole reason I won't come back here. It was a Friday and did not look busy during lunch it's tucked into a corner of the plaza. I understand that it can be difficult to have a large party all trickling in sporadically. Our server was very friendly but seemed a bit unorganized. She went around the table got most of the drink orders then went to get waters and didn't finish the drink orders. Our food took a very long time, we had to ask how much longer. I realize that's not her fault. Once everyone got their food everyone seemed to like it. The server did brag about how great the French onion soup is and that people drive to there from Summerlin to get it. So if you like French onion soup this might be your place. I got the salmon, it was very good. I substituted the broccoli for mashed potatoes which were also very good not lumpy didn't even need butter. The sticky rice was bland and tasteless. Overall, I enjoyed the food but it was a difficult to enjoy in such an uncomfortable chair. I mean I get you don't want to have the most comfortable chairs you don't want people sitting there all day, but I know I'm not the only one who was unhappy with how uncomfortable the seats were, pretty much everyone in our party commented on them as we were walking out. (Some comments: My legs are on fire from those chairs. Did anyone sit in those chairs before they bought them? Probably the worst chairs I have ever sat it. I almost stood to eat my lunch.) Get the food to go! Avoid those high top chairs at any cost!!

I went in at a recommendation of a friend and was surprised Dee was funny and on it ... The chicken piccata was delicious! Staff over all were pleasant and friendly! I don't get out to bars especially but this was a pleasant surprise. :) I will definitely be back. Thank you Dee!

I usually do not leave reviews, however because this was our first time, I decided to leave one due to our experience. My colleague and I decided to sit at the bar as the rest of the team decided to sit at a table. I ordered chicken sandwich I asked the bartender ( her name started with a Deida I believe) it was at perfect temp and tastes fabulous as was she. We were in a bit of a hurry and she complied gracefully. It was a Monday night, we plan on having our next Monday night team dinner there. Our team that sat at their table was equally satisfied. Tam stated her name was Sara their food server. Thanks everyone.. !!!

We had reservations for Mother's Day. The server was great he was a younger Black man and he got a good tip because it wasn't his fault. I ordered a full rack of ribs . They delivered me a half rack . The kitchen forgot the other half and when it came they were dry and burnt. The barbecue sauce was horrible. I sent back the other 1/2 and just went with the 1/2 , they were very grisly. The Jalapeño mashed potatoes were very stiff and not hot . This place has really went downhill since we first started going there. A table right across from us the people sat down but got up and walked out after not getting a booth. They even spoke with the manager and he said that the booths had reservations. Another night we went there about 8 tables were empty and they wouldn't seat us because the kitchen was behind. We left and went elsewhere! It's definitely not like it was .

If a "24 hour" restaurant is going to be closed with all their doors locked, the least you could do is inform yelp, google, etc., AND TURN OFF YOUR LIGHTS instead of wasting my time by going there and wandering around the building wondering how to get in. Rude.

What a great little gaming bar and grill! My friend Jim took me here for dinner last night. It was a casual but upscale setting, dimly lit and welcoming. There was a great vibe, lots of happy people mingling and many helpful employees. The food was really good. My friend had the ahi tuna salad & I had a margherita pizza. Both were very tasty! The dressing on the salad was sweet & complimented the meat well. The pizza was thin and strong with garlic, but delicious. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items.

Took my man here for his birthday one year. The food was good and so was dessert but they don't do anything special for birthdays. My man was not impressed with their food and won't go back. I liked the food but I think it comes down to your style of food. Items are limited so the menu is not very big or much to choose from. Plenty of seating and kind of a dark lighting atmosphere. Customer service was ok. Not super attentive. We had to flag down other people to try and get help getting the things we had already asked for numerous times. We shouldn't have to do that.

Food is consistently good and served in a timely manner. Pleasing comforting decor. Recent management changes have made a significant impact on our overall dining experience at the restaurant.

I gave 2 stars because the service was good, very friendly. I finally tried the prime rib... it looked great but was tough. Very disappointed in the entire meal. No rolls, no salad, and then they charge me a dollar for horseradish! Are you kidding? This is on top of the prices going up. I left there feeling I could have got a much better meal for the money.

Ridiculous! Place was practically empty with like 3 people total. We showed up with party of 8, first thing she asks is if everyone is 21. Replied yea and she wanted to make sure we had ID to prove. Then asked how many in party. She was quick to say well we are only doing one tab with automatic gratuity is that going to be a problem. We replied no problem and she said to just wait. Came back and said I'm sorry we can't seat you we are short staffed. Place was empty...clearly for a reason.

Great service and bar tenders! Need to bring back happy hour menu. Ladies at the bar are the best!

Great hidden brunch spot! We recommend the country eggs Benedict. It's like a fusion of biscuits and gravy and eggs benedict. Top service with bar food pricing. A+ vibe

I will never go to Black Mountain Grill again. After years of making Black Mountain Grill my go to place....usually weekly......sadly the change in management has made it impossible to continue dining and gambling there. The music has become intolerably loud and the food portions and quality have declined. The new management has installed "rules" that make it uncomfortable for their clientele. service animals are no longer welcome there, so for people who depend on them.....go somewhere else. Don't plan on having a large party there because a group of 8 or more cannot get a reservation. The manager is uncooperative, although he smiles and pretends to care, but walks away without correcting the problem. The clientele is mostly older, but he seems to cater to a younger group which is nonexistent there. Many people I know have stopped going there Unable to tolerate the excruciatingly loud music and lack of quality food.

What's nice about this bar is that it's a non-smoking bar. I don't smoke, so it's nice to go to a bar without leaving with a smell of cigarettes. The food is okay, nothing special. It is a bar, so my expectations are low either way. The bartender was rude at first, and then became friendlier throughout our visit. Games are limited to variations of poker, I wish they had blackjack.

Wish I could tell you how the food was on this particular day. They said they were not doing to go orders today. No explanation. I've ordered take out many times from them in the past

We stopped in today for an early lunch. We played $400.. We ordered a wedge salad and chicken Marsala to split . They were out of butter leaf lettuce, so we said romaine will be okay . The salad took 30 minutes to get to us while others were eating that hat arrived after us . The chicken Marsala was good but a like dry . The bartender charged us $4.00 to split our meal ... after gambling $400. We will not be returning there .

worst service ever, everyone is rude AF, even the blk manager dude, the host thinks she a millionaire, the bold waiter is too busy socializing. to the owner these people are costing you money, great food

i stopped by last week on my way home & ordered a blackened tuna with watermelon salad & although i ended up being served a blackened tuna & strawberry salad it was delicious Waitress was very nice & service was good i want to go back again for the salad but not sure if it will be as good if i get the watermelon as opposed to the strawberries It was nice & refreshing so perfect on a hot summer day

This is the second and last time I settle for poor service. Management needs to take charge of the wait staff and retrain in customer/food service. Tristan, a poor excuse for a waiter. Asked repeatedly for items that never arrived. Burgers arrived raw and inedible. Two waitresses walked in circles just chatting with each other. Manager, non existent. Thanks for making a return visit unnecessary. This used to be a great place but not any more.

WOW what a great find. Service was great and food was outstanding. They have a new regular. Wish I would have found this restaurant sooner.

Not impressed with calling ahead for food to go. I was told it would be 25 minutes, it took me that long to get there and once inside and paid, I still waited another 20 minutes for my to go order??? The food is awesome, the staff and atmosphere is cool however the management of the kitchen seems to not be on point with time. When I came here to eat a few weeks ago, the kitchen was very slow then as well. I'm not sure why they say 25 minutes when it takes close to 45 minutes for a to go order that was called in. I was told on the phone the order would be put in immediately but it seems they were wrong and the order was not put in until I got there and paid for it. If that's the way the my are going to do business, they should ask you to pay in advance when the order is taken. I love the food here but it's hard to deal with the kitchen that can't seem to keep up with all the orders. It is a popular place and rightly so, he food is good and the prices even though higher over the past few years, it's still a good deal. If they can fix the kitchen issues, it would be a 5 star review.

They were accommodating to an reservation change no problem. When arrived we were greeted and seated promptly. I noticed all the cool artwork on the walls. Not boring like a lot of restaurants. Our servers were great! Very fast and nice. The food was very good too. For appetizers we tried the spinach mushroom dip. This was very good warm and flavorful with the crouton style bread. If you let the dip sit on the bread for a minute it'll soften it up. The bacon wrapped shrimp was a big hit. The shrimp is huge. The beef satay was my favorite. Tender beef dipped in the plated sauce Food: I had chicken piccata with mashed potatoes and green beans. The the white lemon sauce with the chicken and mash, salted to perfection. We also ordered the Mac n Cheese. This is probably the best Mac I've had in ages. Cheesy with bacon and chicken. I'll definitely order that again. The filet was also very tender and my husband said "this is probably better than Flemings" so keep up the good work! I also tried their Old Fashioned and they just put too much ice like in a soda. Not a fan of that. One big piece of ice is better.

It's a very big location located in the the hills of Henderson... The chicken wings hands down have to be some cod the best wings out here so far... Pizza was disgusting and the burger was good too... But them wings have been the best part both visits so far.... Service was attentive as well...

This place was amazing, the food was fantastic, service was impeccable. My husband and I sat at the bar to watch the game. We had Deidra ( I believe that was her name ) she was very knowledgeable about the menu , and all around a great bartender. My husband and I had a rough day moving and she made us laugh and forget about our long day. We moved to Anthem so we will be regulars there. Great job Michelle & Tom

The Caesar salad was great. And the French dip sandwich was perfect. Service was ok. I was having cocktails and had to ask another server to get me one, our server kinda disappeared for a few.

Been coming here for over 9 years. Tonight we had a bad experience. We came and sat down and waited for more than acceptable time. The gal behind the counter went past us and started talking to a customer playing the machine. Then a guy came to talk to the gal as they exchanged some money. Finally got the guys attention when we ordered beer. I apologized to the gentleman to tell him, we don't expect him to give us immediate service but to just acknowledge us, that's it. Well the gal started making some stupid unwanted remarks about the guy should be able to smoke and have his coffee. Well lady, you're an idiot and know nothing about customer service. We will never be back. Thanks Hank, sorry you were not not there.

Good food, but sadly the online menu is not necessarily what you order. It's been over a year and they still have the pork chop with tomato chutney listed, which was amazing! No idea why they did away with that. It now comes with a mushroom gravy, which tastes like the gravy was made from a box.

This was my first visit inside and the restaurant is much nicer than expected! It's classy and the booths are comfortable. My friend and I were seated right away and the server stopped by with waters quickly. I tried the burger and fries and it was so yummy. The burger had the nice charred flavor and the fries were crisp, yet still soft on the inside. Service was attentive and we always had what we needed. I would definitely like to come back and try more menu items too!
