Lively destination with a patio overlooking the water & a menu featuring lots of burgers & seafood.
"A bit off the beaten path at Black Point Marina (the largest public marina in Miami), this laid-back spot also feels like a Keys getaway without actually leaving the city. Close to Biscayne National Park, diners can arrive by boat or car, and be greeted with waterfront views, live music, and a chill vibe. The menu is filled with seafood offerings like cracked conch, smoked fish dip, and peel-and-eat shrimp, but Black Point also offers a little Latin twist with the addition of shrimp tostones, yucca fries, and a Cubano. Happy hour takes place Monday through Friday here from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. It’s easy to forget this spot exists, but it’s absolutely worth the detour." - Allison Ramirez, Alona Martinez
"This Cutler Bay spot is as close as you can get to leaving the county without actually doing so. Here, you can watch rosy-cheeked day drinkers house glasses of pinot gris at the bar, share conch fritters on the deck, or sit on the dock and watch the manatees bop around. There is no indoor seating so dress for the weather. Boaters often tie up their boats right next to tables for a fish dip and beer break. But Black Point is also one of the few places in Miami where you can catch a fish, bring it to the restaurant (filleted and cleaned), and they will cook it for you (they charge by the pound). But even if you didn't catch it yourself, you can count on this place to make some of the best seafood in Miami. " - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"This South Dade bar and restaurant has been a local favorite for nearly 20 years, offering seafood and prime views of the water and passing boats. Diners can even bring their own catch to be prepared on-site. The menu features a variety of seafood options, from classic fish tacos and lobster bisque to standout dishes like blackened dolphin with avocado, seafood Alfredo, and a shrimp platter. Save room for the key lime pie—it’s a must-try." - Eater Staff
"This bar and restaurant in South Dade serves seafood and plenty of boats gazing in addition to its water views." - Olee Fowler
"This salty waterfront restaurant in Cutler Bay is as close as you can get to leaving the county without actually doing so. Here, you can watch rosy-cheeked day drinkers house glasses of pinot gris at the bar, share conch fritters with friends on the deck, or sit on the dock and watch the manatees bop around. There is no indoor seating so dress for the weather. And it’s common to see amateur seafarers tie up their boats next to tables for a fish dip and beer break. But Black Point is also one of the few places in Miami where you can catch a fish, bring it to the restaurant (filleted and cleaned), and they will cook it for you. If you’re lucky enough to catch a nice snapper, ask for it blackened." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
