Black Rock Coffee Bar

Ordered a coffee and a muffin at the drive-through. Decided not to have the muffin heated because last time I did that it was overheated. When I got to the window, the muffin was very cold so I asked if they could heat it up a little bit.I waited a while and when they brought the muffin back, I drove off and it was so hot to take it out of the bag I had to drop the muffin way way overheated. The nice thing is I can let it sit there and cool down but not so nice thing is how overheated it was.

It is january eleventh at 5:36 pm My teenage daughter has been wanting to try blackrock, so we came over here, which was about a twenty minute drive just for coffee, we came in excited and nobody spoke to us for a while which was fine cause im a waitress so I understand being busy, but then they never said hi even after making eye contact til i greeted them first like 8 minutes after we stood there at the counter Then we asked the female barista who finally spoke to us if she could tell us some flavors ideas for the blondie (ie: pecan pie , hazelnut etc) and she said " we have different syrups" I said ok..? can i atleast know a few flavors to give me an idea since it is not on the menu , she couldn't even do that and looked at me like I was insane for asking if she knows about her job We left.. idk if it was gonna taste good or not, it was just a blah experience.

We got the pumpkin chai iced - very good And the butterscotch iced latte - also very good. Staff were friendly. Drive through was quick. Had to ask for more ice for my iced latte.

I ordered a Cortado and 10 seconds after I finished ordering and typing my phone number in the coffee was out. The steamed milk was burned. The coffee was burned and scalding hot. I was not comfortably able to drink the coffee for about 20 minutes with letting it cool off with the lid off. All other drinks came out extremely quick and my friends also had similar experiences with less complicated drinks. The prices were great and the food that was coming out looked tasty, I would probably go back to try the food and not the coffee. The baristas and cashier were extremely nice and hospitable!

I go when my husband wants a coffee. However I don’t like a good coffee. But we all need a good dose of caffeine. They have a nice selection of non coffee caffeine drinks to choose from that have all been very good. Highly recommend.

This place is great! The workers here were GRINDING! (Working really hard). They made my coffee so fast! I feel like you can’t go wrong with any of the items on their menu. The several times I’ve gone to a BRCB I’ve always let the staff make a recommendation and they never fail to recommend a great item! Lastly, BIG SHOUT OUT to whoever was put in charge with the holiday decorations! Place looks great! 👍

Consistently good coffee! I typically get a white mocha latte, either hot or cold and have had the same consistent taste every time! The baristas are super nice! The drive-thru service is always quick!

I went to the webster clear lake location 12/15/25 This was supposed to be matcha and this was after I sent it back so they could add more matcha. It's not even green. Very disappointed. Don't order matcha from here.

Great coffee. Texted atmosphere. Enjoyed our visit as able to sit and chat without distractions.

I went via drive thru during the morning shift prior to an appointment across town (an hour drive). Unfortunately, after departure on the highway I bit in to a cold sandwich. I tried to make the best of it by eating around the sandwich on the outer corners thinking it would be ok, but it wasn't. I tried taking a bite removing the meat, but the egg was just as cold. Ultimately, I had to make the best of it and just eat the bread to have something in my system being that I had an hour drive. This was roughly at 9:45 am. I attempted to contact the store via phone, but they don't have phones in store and instead you're routed to their website. Hours later, at 5pm I thought maybe the store would consider a refund. To my surprise the manager Sam refused after I shared my story due to a lack of receipt, not knowing how long I had the left overs, and that it was a half eaten sandwich. I advised that I didn't get a receipt, and that I still had the pending charge on my card. That wasn't sufficient, understandable. I asked if their rewards system would show my recent purchase and the barista said yes, but still her manager said they couldn't do anything for me. I know it appears it's half eaten in the photo, but you can see where I took my initial bite and the spit out the second. Notice the patty is still mostly there. I understand the challenges they must face with customers falsifying returns, but they had the software to prove my purchase and still declined. Something so simple they could have obliged and chose not to.

Quite disappointed. Let's start with there were no food items. Sold out. Cashier was nice. I went through the drive thru so I don't have much to say about the inside atmosphere of the coffee shop. First time there, betterp yet first time in Houston, Texas. Iwanted to try a different coffee shop but there was nothing to try but a few drinks. We got hot chocolate and well, that was meh. At least the lady at the drive thru window was pleasant.

Happened to come on a Tuesday afternoon and found out they have $3 coffee for students on Tuesdays if you show your ID. The best deal for a caramel Frappuccino (caramel blondie chiller to be specific). It definitely satisfied the sweet tooth but I could see it being too sweet for some. A super affordable drink selection and great place to study.

I am not an iced coffee drinker. I prefer hot, BUT this blended Mexican Mocha might change my mind. The flavors of chocolate and cinnamon along with the ice make it a refreshing change of pace.

Pretty good drip coffee though pricy. Excellent service and good location. I'll go back if I'm close by at coffee time.

Rock Rock to the Black Rock Coffee Bar. I like it. Coffee Bars are the places to be these days. Very nice coffee bar. Staff was cool and helpful. Restrooms nice and clean. Most importantly, I enjoyed my Coffee. I had like Mexican Mocha and it was perfect. I like that this Coffee Bar has nice and comfy chairs and it's not too loud in there. Parking is good too.

I love coming here for coffee. The interior is inviting, & the atmosphere has a great vibe to it as well.

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile. My old boss said it was great and I finally was able to give it a try. First off they have a bunch of unique flavored syrups that you don't see at your everyday coffee shop so that made it a little hard to decide. I had gone in wanting a lavender latte and that's what I got. Customer service was good, service was fast and friendly. They had a lot of room to sit and be comfy. Rock music was playing kinda loudly so I don't know how good it is to study. Coffee was good, they had lots of seating and plenty of space for parking. I'll definitely be back!

I don't enjoy writing negative reviews but this one is due. My 3rd visit to this place and while my wife enjoys the pastries and we both enjoy the beverages, the service is poor at best. Each visit we've found the place adequately staffed. Wait times are very reasonable and the workers appear busy and churning out the drinks. Find a smile? Not going to happen. A stoic "thank you have a nice day" as you shove a drink & a muffin across the counter? If you smiled and said nothing I might have thought you were sincere about having me as a customer. Should the manager read this, maybe bring in a trainer for a 2 hour class. Or you could always hire.

Expensive. It was almost $20 for two croissants and one coffee. Went thru the drive thru. Wanted to get the tacos, but out of the salsa I wanted. Wanted to get a drip coffee, but was out of the drip coffee (she said "drip machine is still down"). The croissants were tasty. She got a turkey and cheese and I got the ham, cheese, & jalapeño (not spicy at all). Overall expensive, but will be back when the time is right.

Black Rock is opening up in my neck of the woods and I realized I didn't review the one in on Bay Area. Like usual when shopping in the area, I get thirsty. This place looked and sounded cool so we made our way through the drive thru. There was a steady line in front of me as well as behind so I felt the pressure to order fast. I asked the very nice employee behind the mic what her favorite was and she suggested the Caramel Blondie. We were in and out quick and I was enjoying the tasty drink on the road. It wasn't as coffee forward as I like, but it was a nice sweet treat if you're into those kind of drinks. I would definitely come back if in the area and needing a caffeine and sugar fix!

Modern coffee spot in Clear Lake that's not a Sbux. Plenty of parking, there's a drive through. Interior looks modern; not sure why but the kitchen floor looked very wet/muddy. Turnaround was pretty fast.

Coffee is great but the music is way too loud and inappropriate especially if you're trying to study or even just have a conversation lol

Black rock is the best kept secret in Webster, TX. It is a mellow atmosphere coupled with top-notch service, which combines for a great place to have a quick meeting or read a book in your favorite book! Keep up the good work Black Rock! You've got a customer for life in me.

Drive through coffee that isn't starbucks, sure I'll give it a shot! Quick service and if you're not a coffee snob the baristas will help you put together a drink. Anytime I'm in the area I'll stop by as they have yet to let me down!

Hands down 100000% better than Starbucks I love coming to this location and the one in Pasadena, wish there was one closer.

I don't quite understand this place The drive through is ok Staff is friendly but the iced latte is so average I ll rather buy it from McDonald's It was super mediocre The price was way too high for this quality The vibe was I can not identify Hard to say

Staff is super friendly and the drinks aren't too sweet which I love! Very good place to sit and study for a while and the lighting isn't too dim or too bright.

Have been here twice and both times have been excellent. Their specialty coffee drinks aren't too sweet & I will definitely be back. If you don't like ultra sweet drinks, get the caramel blondie. If you like richer drinks, get the Blackout (hazelnut mocha). Indoor seating is abundant. Pros include having a drive thru! They are kind of in an inconvenient location if you're coming from the Baybrook side. Plenty of parking space.

Tried this place this weekend for an afternoon coffee. We tried the CARAMEL BLONDIE and the MEXICANA MOCHA. I enjoyed my BLONDIE. Friend said he thought the mocha would have been a tad more chocolaty though still stated it was good. I would not say the staff was overly friendly. More perfunctory. Not rude maybe just a long day. Place is visually appealing. Filled with students studying and a table of chess players. Seems like a nice place to hang if you had the time. We were pretty much in and out as we had things to do. Coffee seemed expensive though not any more expensive than other places I've visited. I'd go back if I needed another coffee to air it through many errands.

Black Rock Coffee Bar might be my new go to coffee spot whenever I'm near Baybrook Mall. Quick, efficient drive thru, and great coffee is all I need to start my morning off right. I tried their hot mocha w/ almond milk, caramel blondie iced, and Mexican mocha hot. The hot coffee was just how I like it! Strong aromatic coffee, the kind that fills your car w/ it's life giving energy in the morning. The iced caramel blondie was good too, just a tad sweet for me. The interior of Black Rock Coffee Bar is very modern feeling w/ their cool light fixtures. I could definitely see myself coming here to study or getting some busy work done. I'll for sure become a regular here soon!

Hard to believe that a coffee shop would have a chronic problem with a drip coffee machine. A couple of months ago the machine was down for 2 months! And it starts again. I thought the staple of a coffee shop was drip...evidently not at black rock.

Yay for drive thru coffee! I don't normally drink coffee, so I don't know the usual prices for this type of drink pictured - caramel blondie chiller. Seems kinda expensive though. Inflation, maybe? It was very tasty and I'd come here again, especially for the drive thru convenience.

Stopped here on the way to a track meet. Staff was nice and really helpful when I couldn't decide on a drink. The place was really clean, and seems like a place I would hang out in if I lived nearby. I came in here at 7 am on a Sunday, so it wasn't quite bumping yet. The coffee was really good, and if I make my way back here again, I will come back here for coffee. Sad this place didn't exist when I use to live in the area.

The coffee drinks my daughter and I ordered both tasted like sludge. They were luke warm still even though both drinks were ordered as iced. We had two different baristas tell us to hold on they would be right back to take our order. Finally a third came up to take our order. From the coffee to the service it was overall just "ok". I am always looking for little coffee shops to support and unfortunately this one missed the mark.

Coffee for the go or for staying inside if you use Door Dash. Great coffee taste and selections. Nice option from the norm of Starbucks.

Been back a few times, tried the drive thru service and we've always received the friendliest service every time we visit. My favorite is the iced Mexican mocha sub oatmilk, Our drinks are always consistently delicious and they never screw it up (yay!) their rewards system is also way better compared to sbux. I've already gotten free drinks and only ordered from them a handful of times.

My daughter recommended trying a coffee here. I responded, "why, it's just another coffee place." Gave in and tried it, and learned a lesson. Sometimes daughters DO know best (don't tell her I said that.) The espresso was smooth without the burnt taste we have come to expect from a drive-thru coffee place. I'm a believer and wish it was next-door so I could get my daily java fix every morning.

First off - absolutely horrible service. I waited in line for 25 minutes and when I finally reached the ordering window at 8:59 they said they were closed and rudely started to assume I was someone that was in the lobby. I don't understand how it takes 25 mins to take 3 car orders. I will not be returning and I'll be sure to tell everyone how horrible their service on top of their over priced inconsistent drinks. Thankfully, a Dutch bros opened up on NASA. Be sure to go there instead - they have efficient and competent workers!

I used to always go to Starbucks or caribou (from the north and it's a northern thing) but when it comes to quality for the price it's like Starbucks but the coffee is actually worth the price . I had a Mexican mocha cooler with 2x shots espresso and it was insanely good.

Very standard coffee here, nothing too special, maybe a slightly better version of starbucks. Their specialty drinks are more frappe/sweet drinks/smoothie -like, so if you are into that you would love this place. Nothing wrong about it I just don't typically enjoy very sweet coffee. With that being said, I got the mexican mocha and it was not bad! I had to get it less than half sweet, but it was a good study drink! The inside of the coffee shop is pretty big but there's only one big table that's close to the outlet, so if you're studying with friends it's a hit or miss whether you get the big table. There's a lot of smaller tables in the middle but they aren't close to any outlets. There's a few bar type seating along the window with a few outlets. Overall, not a bad place to study, the drinks just aren't my favorite.

Matcha was so eh, it was more milk than matcha itself smh. I usually get caramel blonde for coffee but it's either too sweet or you can barely taste the coffee itself

I've been here multiple times and it is always a great experience. Indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff, nice coffee beverage selection and plenty of non dairy alternatives. Checks all the boxes for what I want in a coffee shop.

I had no idea this place was pretty close to my house and now I'm going to want to go there all the time! I ordered an iced lavender latte and it was amazing. It had the perfect amount of lavender flavor to coffee balance. The ambiance was super cool and I loved the decorations. The only negative thing is that their AC is broken so I got hot inside. Hopefully they will fix that soon.

Love this place! Their blended fuels are my go-to. The employees are very kind and welcoming.

Wasn't planning on stopping by at this place, but I'm glad I did. For being free drinks... They sure had it very organized! Wasn't sure what to get, but one of the friendly employees told me about the Mexican mocha or the caramel Blondie was the way to go. I like more of a vanilla and cinnamon flavor so the Mexican mocha was my pick. It was super delicious! It tasted exactly how I imagined it would. There's lots of promotions going on for their grand opening week starting today through next Friday. I'm excited to try more of their drinks and also support a new business. Stop by this new establishment and show them some love!

Stopped in hoping to try a chai - They were slow, my order was mixed up, and the chai was worse than any I've had in a long time. It was way overpriced as well. I went once to check it out but I won't go back. The employee that messed up my order was rude. I guess that was the biggest issue for me. The way people treat you is important.

One of two things happen when I come here. I order a cold brew and I get a cold brew. Happy day. Or. I order a cold brew and they're out of cold brew so I get another I didn't order without me knowing until I'm half way to work. I stop coming here for a few months because of this and I happened again this morning.

My very 1st visit here. I got a blended drink. I believe it was a blonde. You could actually taste coffee and not just sugar. I'll definitely go again. I was at the Clearlake location.

I ordered the chai latte with a shot of espresso. Very rich and creamy with a nice kick. My go to at most specialty coffee shops. A bit pricey $7 for a medium drink - not used to it being this expensive. Keep in mind it was the BEST I've ever had.

I saw the long line of cars when they opened and needed to see what the fuss was about. Well in the past week I've been twice and I understand the hype. Black Rock rates up there with Summer Moon Coffee. I've only had the iced Caramel Blondie so far but it is soooo good! The price seems comparable to Starbucks, but the medium cup is 20 oz. so you get more bang for your buck. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu seems pretty simple and straightforward. I signed up for rewards but not sure how many points you need to redeem items. I will be sure to ask on my next visit.

The place is cute and roomy inside and the drive thru seemed fast and efficient. I got one of the energy drinks that was lavender flavored but did not taste like lavender at all. It was still pretty good so I think I would go again. The ladies that worked there were very sweet!

Coffee was delish and egg, bacon, and cheese danish was pretty big. Friendly staff. Typical coffee shop atmosphere

I found this place once I moved to friendswood, it's a very relaxing modern vibe. The staff are friendly and seem like they enjoy their time working here. I think that's why they can get coffee made so fast! I have not tried much of their menu but that's only because once I found the Iced Caramel Blondie I did not need to try another. Definitely go to this place you will love it!

Love the atmosphere here, plus the coffee is great and the staff is friendly! There are plenty of outlets so it's one of my go-tos for remote work.
