Black Rose Blending is a Brewery. They have great staff and a fun tasting room with pinball which is a plus. In summer, they open their doors for extra door seating and allow dogs outside. For there beer...it is different than most breweries. They have A Wild ale with Malbec, gin barrel aged peach wild, oak aged saison, an oak aged cherry sour, wild aged in an aquavit, and a 'table beer' that is another saison. All their beer have a tinge of sour but very very unique. I am not a fruit or sour person but they did a really good job. I happen to really like Malbec wine..... Their extra purple is a beer that tastes just like it. Taking one home. Even if you don't do sours and wilds, these guys do it a little different. It is definitely worth a stop.

Went on the "Soft" opening...man the drinks are great! Crushing it! I had everything on tap it was so good. Cheese and meat boards with high quality products. A lot of artwork on the walls. And a pinball machine...yes please.

Love the wild ferments and other experimental beers. I'm always looking for a good sour, and these are the best around. And it's just a nice bar, with a sizeable patio out back. Highly recommend

Not a bad house beer in the bunch. Great vibe, pinball machines are a plus. The focus here is on tart, funky blended beers. And he execution of those is phenomenal. Great and friendly staff. If sours or pinball are your thing, this is a must go in Madison.

What a great surprise to find The Black Rose in this location! We found a good selection of different house brews and blends, from funky and tart to very funky and very tart, but there are also some great local brews on tap if you're just looking for an IPA or lager. Make sure you ask about the landjeager before ordering because it makes a difference! We talked to the owner for a while and he was super nice answering all of our questions and chatting about various beer things, and we got some great recommendations about Madison as well. Thanks so much and we can't wait for the to go beer to be available!

The brewer is doing something unique and tasty here. Excellent wine barrel aged beers that both wine and beer lovers can enjoy.

I was sad to learn that Funk Factory was closing, but looked forward to trying out Black Rose when I visited town again. I enjoyed everything I had today.

Brought our dog on the patio and my partner got the Moonflairs; as soon as we took a sip we went back in to grab another for me, it is so yummy! Can't wait to come back and try more!!
