Yelp
The Boyfriend and I wandered in here this evening after a particularly delightful dinner at a sushi restaurant where I got to *not* practice my Japanese- with that *not* being the best part of that whole situation because, hai, my Japanese is not awesome.
But let me talk about the Blackbeard's Crafts' situation because that's even better. I'm not from LA, I don't even particularly like LA, and I loved my twenty minutes in this store enough to make me reevaluate my entire relationship with traffic, wildfires, and unrelenting sunny weather. Maybe it was the skeleton by the register, maybe it was the assortment of ciders that rivaled an apple orchard (and I say this as someone that has never been to an apple orchard), but I walked away thinking nothing other than, "I can't wait to write a 5 star yelp review for this place."
I wouldn't exactly call myself a cider connoisseur, but I would call myself a cidersseur, and I appreciate ANY establishment that out-does me in cider knowledge. We left with two ciders that I am only just becoming familiar with (**sips from Wildcraft Wild Rose as types**) and a few super neat glasses that The Boyfriend is especially excited about.
To sum up the selection, I would say it's the limited selection of craft beers that they have at Ralph's, except it's an entire store and even better and with an entirely more comprehensive selection plus wine. Meaning, I guess, it's nothing like what I just analogized it with. Furthering upon this, impeccable customer service. They even walked our purchases out to The Boyfriend's car. That's kind of incredible and deserves its own five star Yelp review.
Genuinely, and I do say this genuinely, I can't wait to go back. Regardless of traffic, wild fires, and unrelenting sunny weather.
