Off-Strip vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Where else but Vegas would have a restaurant like Black Out, an establishment with a pitch-black interior where servers wear night vision goggles and you’ll feel your way around your meal. Dinner is a six-course, seasonally-changing affair inspired by one of three flavor profiles (sweet, spicy, savory) that you choose. The menu is entirely plant-based, though not advertised as such, and the staff will ask about any allergies you may have. Reservations are recommended though walk-ins are allowed." - Katie Swalm

Yelp
y'all!!!! vegas local here and we finally tried dining in the dark!!! ahhh it was the very best neat experience! daughter loved every moment! 7 courses!!! we got some of our guesses right too. all very good dishes! we cleaned our plates! our server mr. carlos b!!! he was so cool and caring! he made our experience even better just a real cool person!! he talked us through walking in sitting down and introducing each course. very funny and light hearted too!!! we couldn't help but laugh each time and he refilled our water several times. loved his sense of humor so much!!! would love to be served by him again!! he was so impressed that we cleaned our plates without much of a mess and said we were pros lol! food was just too good to waste! the noise/chatter was a bit loud but it was in waves and not bad at all a lot of laughter and the playlist was good too! heard some billie songs and enjoyed thank you for making our experience memorable and enjoyable!!! we want to come back with a bigger party next time.

Yelp
This concept of eating in the dark is like nothing else in this city. It is literally pitch black. This got me thinking, is this how blind people live? At the end of the experience, I appreciated my ability to see more than ever. As much as I loved it, I was grateful to see the light afterward. The service was great! You get a quick explanation of what to expect in the lobby. Somehow that doesn't even prepare you for the sheer darkness! You put all your belongings in a locker, then hold hands while walking to your seat. The restaurant is filled with chatter of people talking to each other! That alone was impressive. No one was on their phones because they were not allowed, hence the lockers. It was awesome. Service was exceptional. The food was excellent.

Yelp
This was a dining experience like no other, I couldn't have dreamt up if I tried. I was truly in the dark. It's weird, a little off putting, but I got used to it pretty quick. The sounds and smells around me were heightened to crazy levels. I could "see" in the dark after the second plate was served. Listening to others in the room enjoying their experiences led to even more anticipation of the next plate to be served to me. We were presented a total of seven delicious plates of food. Dessert was the final plate and we were hard pressed to consume it since we were so full by plate five! We had a choice of beverage aside from water and were kept entertained by our server. Each plate of food was a different flavor profile and some came with additional scrumptious sauces. There were textures that kept us guessing what they were until all was revealed at the end of the meal when we finally saw our menus. I was allergic to certain things so I had a different set of foods than my dining companion. All her selections fascinated her and she was very surprised how tasty vegan eating can be. She'd never eaten an entirely vegan profile menu and found that she'd definitely expand her food options to add vegan options going forward. People that complained everything was one note, mushy or bland, might have benefited better by slowing down, not eating in a larger group or drinking alcohol along with the meal. I saw a lot of ladies entering back into the lobby at the end of their meal with a single flower. They might've been on a date or celebrating something. Very lovely touch! All told it was an incredible two hour tour into the dark that we'll reminisce about for years to come. Please go!

Yelp
Do you want a unique experience, something like you may have never had? Then take a consideration of reserving your table at BLACKOUT Dining in the Dark. Our server, Anna was great. Could hear her well, she communicated well and made us feel comfortable. The food is unique in itself, it's almost impossible to guess what you're having. The texture, the flavors, it's all very interesting but in the most fun away. We barely guessed any of the meals right, and we probably tried things we did there that we wouldn't in light. So that was neat in itself. This is about the experience, you may not enjoy everything on your plate, but that creates the intimacy of talking with those that you came with and your thoughts on the food. I was close to giving four stars though because even with reservations we waited for another 15 minutes while what appeared as a group larger than ours came in after and got seated before. Additionally, at no fault of their own really, it can be quite loud which can take away from one's personal experience. For those who are willing to try something new, I'd be letting you down on not looking into a date here! However, do go through their website they are transparent on their pricing!

Yelp
My friends and I decided to come back almost a year later to celebrate my boyfriends birthday! We were excited to go since the menu had changed since the last time we visited. The first couple of minutes are the hardest to get through, as your eyes are adjusting to the darkest dark you've ever been in. It's pretty nerve wracking, but once you've gotten used to it, it's smooth sailing for the rest of the night. Our server, Larry, was amazing! He was so funny and kept our drinks full the entire time. He made sure to make us laugh and take our minds off of the extreme darkness. He even let us try on the night vision goggles he wears! The food was amazing. Obviously I cant share much, but 6/7 courses were amazing. There was only one we didn't care for. The rest were great! If you're looking for an interesting and different experience off the Strip, Blackout Dining is a great choice. It's so much fun!!

Yelp
I was excited to try this spot on my latest trip to Vegas. It's about $90 per person and you pay after dinner, in the reception area, not with your server. The waiting area is small and they provide lockers for you to lock up your phones and watches. Yes, watches. You'll be carefully lead to a completely blackened area. Your server will lead you and although you'll feel uncomfortable, take your time and you'll be just fine. They do a very good job explaining where things are and how each item should be eaten. The menu is vegetarian and you're not told what you're eating until you leave the darkened room. There were seven courses and the first three were delicious ! I didn't care for the last four, but you can't please everybody. Great service, Anna from Georgia, was the best! So glad I went, 10/10, highly recommend.

Yelp
Very cool concept for a restaurant - it is truly pitch black. Going in was kind of unsettling - shuffling through the darkness to our seats with only the hand of server to guide us. Their night vision goggles do have a red light which helps to keep it a little less scary. The food was tasty - we particularly liked the first couple courses, but all of them were pretty good. It was surprising how easily we got used to eating in the dark; I don't think any of us spilled anything or had any trouble getting the food into our mouths despite the darkness. There was a couple problems that we encountered that may have just been our experience - the service, while good, was slow. We finished each course and had a lot of time in between; it was fun to talk about the previous course and guess the ingredients, but it would have been great if it was just a bit faster. Also, the heightened senses is real - but that meant that other tables sounded very loud around us. I wish the tables were separated a little more. Overall, it was a very fun and unique experience!

Yelp
We've been there twice and it's an excellent experience. Food is wonderful. Can't really comment on presentation. Waiting area is a bit chaotic not particularly charming for a $120+ pp experience. Server was excellent. Missed her name but had a Georgia accent :) . Truly unique LV experience. We made a game out of seeing who could correctly name the ingredients (you get to learn what you ate when it's all over) . Recommended especially if you have a vegan in the group!

Yelp
Wow such a cool spot! If ur in town definitely do this! You put your stuff in a locker and then they take you to your seats. You hold hands or your shoulder to go inside. Cause it's completely dark. You have to touch your food and figure how to eat it your items. It was interesting. The food was good. You will know what you ate at the end. Our server was funny Larry aka Jeff. They give you a rose at the end of your dinner. If you have a show or something after, you can tell them so they can hurry the courses and be done on time.

Yelp
Dining in the dark was a lot of fun! I had a great time celebrating my friends birthday and it is dark! Hand in front of your face and you cannot see it at all. Just the red dot of our overlord serve who came to nourish us! Anna took good care of us! 6/7 courses were good! Everyone at our table felt this way. Half the fun is trying to figure out what you're eating and let me tell you; my palette is pretty spot on. Everything is plant based and there are gluten free & nut free menus and you get to wear a sweet vest. This is a long dinner experience, took us about 2 hours and it's amazing disconnecting from phones - time was suspended in here and that was probably my favorite part of the experience. Great spot for a blind date too lol. Incredible experience, a bit overpriced, but that's Vegas for you!

Yelp
This was a LOT of fun and was definitely an experience. That being said the food was ok. I definitely felt like it was way too pricey for what the food was, but I understand you're also paying for an experience. I did it once and that was all I need.

Yelp
Ya gotta try everything once right! When they say blackout they mean it! The only things no you can see is the tiny lights on the servers nightvision goggles so they looked like shooting stars. Our server was so nice and described everything perfectly. The food! It was a 7 course meal and everything was absolutely delicious. I had a friend ruin it for me before I went so I won't be a spoiler for you. Obviously couldn't take pictures in the dark. They tell you the menu after you eat. I am quite sure I would not have eaten some of the stuff if I had seen it first and would have definitely had preconceived ideas, However everything was great.

Yelp
This place is definitely an experience you cannot miss out on if you're in Vegas! It's pretty pricey, about $90-120 per person, but we went in knowing this. Anyway, all the food is Vegan. I had no idea! Everything was delicious!

Yelp
To be totally honest this restaurant is not for everybody. I'm glad I did it, I can say I did do it, but I would never do it again. That being said it's crazy how much you rely on your sight until it's gone. Im not even sure if my eyes where open or shut while I was in there. The wait staff is awesome, and explain everything you need to know, from how to sit down, where your glass of water is, to how to eat your food. The food is mostly good. It is vegan, I am not so it's not my cup of tea. No details just because they ask you to keep it quiet and not spoil it for future guests. It is fun to try and guess what you are eating, and nothing was super crazy. Definitely worth trying at least once (if your not afraid of the dark) but hard to imagine until you do it. Would completely recommend.

Yelp
EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT!! This is a must have experience where you eat in total darkness. The meal is a multi course vegan meal. I've never had vegan before until visiting here and I was impressed with the taste of all courses. At the end you can see what you are in the lobby. You don't know what you're eating while dining and the server helps you understand the taste of the course. The ambiance is... well I couldn't quite see it lol but it appeared quite lovely. The restaurant is not on the strip but a quick ride service drive from the strip. My wife first went in April then returned while in Vegas the week of Labor Day.

Yelp
If you are claustrophobic or afraid of the dark this place isn't for you. You are lead to your table conga style and sat by your server. They have night vision goggle so they can see you and serve you. They do give you a panic button if at any moment you need a breather. I have been twice now taking different family members and it's been a fun experience every time. The food is all vegan and they do accommodate allergies really well. Now since we have been two times more than a year apart I can tell you that they really don't switch up the menu that much. There are so many missed opportunities with experimenting with vegan food and this just missed the mark for me. We had literally the same exact dessert and soup course. Everything else was maybe off by and ingredient or two. So if you're a tourist I would say 100% spend the money and do it. If you are a local do it once and find somewhere else to take people. It's also very expensive for being just vegan food. Like 90$ a person is insane. It's just bread, fruit, and veg. ‍

Tammy R.

Yelp
This experience is so much fun! The wait staff is very good at what they do. The food was very good. There was only one course I wasn't fond of, but that was just a personal preference. Highly recommend the experience.
google avatar

Yelp
SO MUCH FUN. Eating a 7-course meal in the pitch black was such an experience for your senses. Came here on a date night, but would be fun in a larger party as well. Drinks cost extra, but they were tasty and strong! Took about 2 hours to eat and experience it all. Highly recommend for a fun evening!

Yelp
Ok I am going to start with the only con. Small lobby where you can smell the restrooms. Not an appetizing beginning. However, once you get inside to the waiting room the smell is completely gone and you are out fitted with your gear to go into the dining room. Here is where the fun begins. Now it is completely dark. Your eyes will never adjust and you are led to your seat. I was concerned that we would be seated at a table full of strangers, however, it was just myself and my husband at a table. It was such a curious experience, because without being able to see each other, we held hands across the table and had to focus on the others voice, and had to intently listen to conversation without any distraction whatsoever. After 15 years of being married, this was a treat. We tuned into one another's conversation and trusted each other throughout this process The food itself did not disappoint. We enjoyed maybe five out of the seven dishes . If you are trying this place out, you are open to adventure, so let your palate be your guide. From the texture, to the acid,heat... sweet, that the restaurant plays with...you will be taken on tastebud tour. Just go with the flow. I would definitely go again. The price is right for what you get which is an experience that may have been a core memory. Waiters are also pretty amazing and personable!

Yelp
Awesome experience. They gave us a 7 course meal and it was all spectacular. Our server was Chris and he did good on keeping up with our faster pace of eating. Highly recommend, their menu changes about every 3 months.

Yelp
This was an incredible experience. All 4 of us had such a fun time at Blackout Dining. You don't choose your food, and everyone eats the same thing as long as there aren't allergies. 7 courses and we left pleasantly full and very happy. We would love to return when the menu changes so we can have this fun and very interesting experience all over again.

Yelp
Cringeworthy. Let me preface, we have done Dining in the Dark in another city. So pleased with those experiences, that we returned to try Vegas. Big mistake: 1) extremely loud. We were yelling across our table to talk. Could barely hear our server. Drunk people and birthdays are everywhere in Vegas, but here, they might as well been at our table. Wait. They might have been. It was dark. Disappointing venue setup. 2) congested. I know we are in the dark, but you cannot pull out your chair without bumping into another table, and when i asked the server, she stated "picture 9 tables in a very small room, with another large room for big parties...but its actually all connected . Um, yep! We can tell. 3) buffet food. We are foodies. This is not foodie food. Its bland. I'd ask for salt and pepper, but it might have been on the table. Who knows. It was dark. 4) off strip. Not just off strip, its in the middle of homeless area. On the plus side, there is a liquor store if you use the restaurant's side exit as a getaway. Ugh. At &140-$175 per head after small drinks, taxes, and tips. Do it, in another city. Not here. Vegas has such great experiences for that price tag.

Yelp
I've had Blackout Dining in my bucket list for awhile now and finally got the courage to do it. I took my husband for his birthday and we had a great experience. To start you're given and key and locker to keep all of your personal belongings and especially anything that will light up. They have a menu at the front to place any drink orders beforehand. We were then escorted into the dining room by our sever. The room is seriously pitch black and took a bit of time to get used to but after awhile felt natural. The food menu is a secret until the very end. The entire menu is plant based and you're given 7 courses. We definitely were stuffed by the end and I really liked the flavor of most dishes. Overall it was a good time. I would only dock a star since I would like to see meat based dishes, but overall still worth a visit & for the unique experience.

Danielle F.

Yelp
Cool experience to try once. I really liked the soup and was surprised to find out what type it was after the meal. Dinner took 2 hours to go through all 7 courses so plan accordingly if you have something planned for afterwards. The onxy drink was delicious.

Yelp
This experience is a lot more fun and special than you could ever imagine. You must try! It was so much fun, good service and the food tastes Michelin star quality. Highly recommend going!
google avatar

Lucy M.

Yelp
A total of 7 courses, we liked 5/7. The experience itself was unique. It was pitched black, so your eyes will take a couple of minutes to adjust. It was a fun time, but for us it just took too long getting each food course. The first hour was cool, but after that we started getting anxious to see some light. It can be loud as we tend to raise our voices when we can't see, so you'll be able to hear other conversations. The food was plant-based, so if you're expecting meat or chicken...its not happening. Paid approximately $120 pp. I would have left 5 stars, but the wait time in-between courses was just too long. And to sit in the dark for more than an hour, can be uncomfortable.
google avatar

Lilian T.

Yelp
Hands down one of the most unforgettable experiences I've done so far!! Although it was a bit scary at first, the servers were super welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Experience throughout was so fun and our group would keep trying to guess what we were eating, which you will find out at the end. Surprisingly the 7 course meal was all super flavorful and we were absolutely STUFFED by the end. Make sure to mention any food allergies so they can accommodate! I will return in 6 months cause that's when they will change their menus worth the $90 in my opinion!
google avatar

Danisha W.

Yelp
The experience of walking in the dark and using all your other senses while eating was great. The ambiance was difficult to sense but the table settings were easy to manage although we did hear a dish break in the background. Bree was amazing definitely there whenever we even thought we needed something. The food was different, I don't think I would have done this experience if I would have know it was plant based ( my fault just didn't read it thoughouly). Also not good for teens if they are picky eaters a waste of money. I only gave it 3 stars and wanted to give it less because they asked if my husband had any allergies: rosemary and ginger " but then still served him rosemary in one of the dishes. Just because we said it's not a life threatening allergy doesn't mean it's not an allergy that's Uacceptable. Disturbing to serve it even after asking, or at least give us an alternate dish if there isn't one a refund should have been offered.

Yelp
Not much to like here. Eating in the dark was fun but that's where the complements end. The vegan menu (7 courses) was very disappointing. Maybe 2 of the courses were tasty but the rest were bland or odd. The dark room was very loud and seemed packed with people. While being led to our table, we bumped into the corners of tables and walls. The cocktails were extra and very expensive. Because the food and drinks are so expensive and less than memorable/delicious, this venue is not much more than a gimmick. If only it was priced to reflect to quality and taste of the food, or if they made it a more fine dining experience, I would give them more stars. We won't go back or recommend. Your money would be better spent on a good show or gourmet restaurant.

Yelp
Ok first words that come to mind are, "seriously a 7 course meal for 90$??" Then comes the thoughts of, "well this is darker than I expected" haha (not really sure why you would expect anything other than pitch black from a place called blackout dining ). After that comes the feeling of "wow, I really don't even know what I'm eating but it's feels and tastes amazing!" Oh also, just gotta throw in there, the pictures don't do it justice! Haha.

Sam G.

Yelp
Great experience, everyone was so nice. Worth going to. The price is a little high compared to the food you get. Wonderful experience overall.

Yelp
Blackout Dining in the Dark was a unique experience that I'd recommend others try at least once. CHECK-IN + THE START // The lobby and check-in area got quite crowded when we first arrived - there was a mix of people coming out and standing in line to pay and look at the menu, and others coming in and trying to check in / sign the waiver / stand and sit around waiting for their turn to go in. People were crammed all around the tiny room and in front of each other, which was not very comfortable. Thankfully the rest of the experience was better. SERVICE + DINING EXPERIENCE // The service inside was great. Our server was super helpful and quite funny! Once our turn finally came up to go in, our server called out our names and first gave us a brief intro of what to expect before we walked into the blackout room. The five of us formed a mini conga line so he could lead us to our table and get seated. He helped us figure out where our plates and utensils were and guided us through how to best eat each course (ex. when to use the soup spoon vs. our fingers). It was fun to guess what each dish was as we ate. I found myself straining to look at my dining companions, or at least in their general direction, but I really couldn't see anyone! Good job to the staff for making a near-perfect blackout room. (The blackout goggles had a tiny bit of light on them.) In the middle of the meal, someone at another table took out their phone to answer it, lighting up the room briefly... they got booed immediately by everyone else. (Please hide your phones, watches, anything that lights up! Don't ruin the experience for others.) FOOD // The food was not bad overall. As others have mentioned, the meal is vegetarian. I personally don't mind most plant-based alternative proteins and enjoyed the dishes, but B did not like certain of the proteins. I was very full by the end of the meal and felt satisfied. After we conga-lined our way out after the meal, we got to look at the menu descriptions for what we just ate. Go into the experience with an open mind, be ready for plenty of jokes from your server, and have fun!

Yelp
My daughter picked this place and I agreed for the experience. Quality/Quantity - 7 course dining for $89.95, add 7 course wine pairing for $47. Actual pricing is $45 for admission, and $44.95 for the 7 course dinner. Don't want to share the specifics of the meal with you, as that is part of the experience, just know that it is a completely plant based meal, VEGAN. Many of the courses are "finger" foods, to minimize messes and spills. So dress accordingly. And they served more than enough food; we left full. Lastly at the end of the meal, there is an additional surprise, but I will not tell you as I want to keep it a surprise. Overall I/we enjoyed the experience. It was fun discussing what we thought we were eating. But do keep in mind, you are probably NOT here for the food, but rather for the experience. Oh, they did warn me to NOT start a food fight, LOL. Atmosphere - This is what you are paying for, not for the food. It is pitch black, do not expect any emergency lights or back lighting. What you see when you close your eyes is what you see inside the restaurant. The only thing you will see are dim green or red dots of light which are emitted from the night goggles of the working team. Loud music and everyone is talking loudly. The joke was that we lost our sense of sight, so they had to make up for it by speaking loud. Is there a reason to have the music so loud? Not sure if it is to drown out all the other people talking or causing everyone to shout? I was also impressed that no one broke the rules, guess no one wanted to be that person with a light, LOL. On our way out, I studied the emergency exit map, so I could visualize the layout of the dining room. Again, part of the experience is to not "see" but rather feel who and what is around you. Small local business, I am told, is one of a kind in LV. Off strip, but a short rideshare away. Open Thursday to Monday from 5pm to 9pm, hours differ slightly on Yelp. Plenty of parking, as this is really a tourist attraction, so almost everyone is using rideshare. Private events available. Service - "Q", Laquanda, was perfect. So professional and patient. Walked us well through the process. She literally, conga line walked us to and from our tables, LOL. Our meal lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes, and Q was so patient. Our waters were always topped off. BTW reservations require a $20 deposit per person. Also, you need to sign a waiver. Price - $89.95 per person + tax and generous tip. Our total came out to $300 + tip, no drinks for us as I/we did not want to spill... Slight issue with the bill when we paid, but they corrected it and gave us some contacts to follow up with if we did not receive our credit for the double charge. Part of the issue was that I did not receive an itemized receipt until after I paid. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2017. Please check and update your "About The Business" section on Yelp. Can I suggest having "Blind Date" events?

Yelp
Dining in the dark was an amazing experience, my advice would be to always keep one hand on your drink glass and forgo the forks and use your hands. The only people that will see you eat like that is the waitstaff and they don't judge! One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Looking forward to doing it again!

Yelp
Really don't understand the praise for this place. Yes, it's an interesting experience...dining in complete darkness. Your senses are heightened (mainly hearing everyone's conversations around you). But if you add horrible food, a loud ambiance, premium cost and a strip mall to the mix...tell me what's so great about this place! First off, I heard there were vegan options. I did not know that it is ALL VEGAN. Know that 100% going in. Not even super clear on the website. If you're expecting any type of meat, you'll get only Beyond or Impossible substitutes. Think cruise food. Buffet food. Dessert that has gelled over the top because it's been sitting on the buffet too long. Almost glad I didn't see it, because I'm guessing the presentation was horrible. No inventiveness, no flavors that weren't completely predictable. Heavy on rice and red sauce. My boyfriend and I didn't bother eating the last two dishes because honestly, they were offensive. The main entree was reminiscent of a TV dinner. Complete with chunky gravy. And the dessert...nothing fresh. No fresh fruit, it was just plain disgusting. If you're looking for good food, skip it. If you're looking to drop $300+ to eat a shit meal in the dark...this is your place.

Yelp
The location: it was easy to get to by Uber. If you drive yourself there's plenty of parking on both sides of the building. We went on a Monday night so I don't know how it would be on a weekend day. We were staying on the strip so it was a short Uber ride for us. The lobby is big with plenty of seating while you wait for your turn. You get to check the drinks menu and you sign a waiver and give you a locker to put your stuff in (no phones or devices that light up allowed ). The staff: I wish I could remember our servers name - he was new and being shadowed but a manager or supervisor. He was so friendly, calm, and informative. He explained how he would lead us through the dinner. From the walk in to be seated and how the courses are served. Everyone was very friendly. The food: it's a vegan menu. But, even if you are a meat person, you'll still enjoy every course. They ask for food allergies and they make it a point to make your experience safe, that's really important. There are 7 courses, including dessert. Everything is delicious! I did not have one course I didn't enjoy. The drinks: I had a very well made and tasty Dirty Martini and my wife has a very well made Spicy Margarita. They pour well so if you don't like strong drinks, refrain. lol. They also make all their drinks virgin if you want. The experience: I was a little worried at first but after being sat down and "adjusting" I had an amazing time. I recommend this to anyone who's tired for a typical dinner date. No phones makes it even more interesting (I know!!! So crazy!! Jk) but there's a lot to talk about as your tasting the food and figuring out what you are eating. The food trust me, you won't get bored. You will get full through!! lol I'd add pictures, buuuuuut.... It was too dark. Lmao

Yelp
This place was unique and definitely worth a try. Regarding the food, it tasted great! I felt like cutting out the sense of sight enhanced the food and experience. I felt like I was exploring the texture and taste of the food to a degree I haven't done before. I don't want tell what we eat as it may make it difficult for you to have a true intended dinging experience. To be honest, the ambiance did make me a little anxious as I was not able to see anything but quickly dissipated as soon as food started coming out. The staff understood that this May happen so they offered the option to let your server know if you needed a break. The service was great too! The server was attentive, staff ensured a smooth experience. I would definitely come here again!

Yelp
Blackout Dining is the name, but we did not think it would be. Although everything is pitch black, which might make it tricky, the food was good. They serve a five-course meal, and each dish is delicious. The service was excellent. The people were pleasant and helpful, which is necessary since you can't see! The ambiance is a lot of fun. Everyone dining around you seems to get a kick out of this place. Dining here was a superb experience.

Yelp
We knew going in to this place, that we were doing a different kind of dining experience. Once you wrap your head around not having your cell phone, and being completely in the dark while sitting at a table, then you can relax and enjoy. It was a trip to have to rely on the other senses and we were actually shocked that the food was good! Everything was plant based, portions are small, but a fun was to try something different. Don't go and expect a large gourmet dinner, that's not what it's about. Go with an open mind and ready to try something different. Would I go back? No, but I am glad we went.

Yelp
5 stars for the staff... The rest gets barely a star. So concept is very interesting. You eat in complete darkness however, it's so loud in the room that you don't get a chance to even get your other senses to acclimate or even wake up to compensate for your sight being taken away temporarily. Staff is very friendly and fun but this is by far NO WAY a 5 star luxury pre fixe experience. If I'm paying over $100 plus per person I don't expect a full on mediocre vegetarian meal. Plus you're not even told it's a full on vegetarian meal before you make a reservation which is not cool!!!! 7 courses of the most truly mediocre vegetarian dishes I've ever had. Two of the "finger food" courses were concoctions of ingredients on top of a lettuce leaf that were a complete fail and comical... The leaves were just hand torn in whatever fashion, they tell you to wrap it and eat it and it's impossible to do when there is not enough of the leafy end vs. the stalk end to do so. The other one was a ball of sticky rice seasoned in some Asian seasonings and again just balled up on top of Romain lettuce leaves....at least use some endives leaves or butter/bib lettuce that will cup ingredients and have a firm enough texture to hold said concoctions in place. The sixth dish had a very very dry, fried form of breaded something as the side for this course and then they had these 3 tasteless moist globs of what turned out to be like 1/4 teaspoon servings of beyond meat on top of the saltiest potato chunks ever. We told our server and he was like oh wow uhhhh .. Sorry... Completely bamboozled and ripped off! Oh and if you're diabetic, this junk is too heavy in carbs for you but they did have a sign saying they offered nut and gluten free options... They give you a panic button in case you have to go to the bathroom and such, I should have pressed it to leave in general after the 3rd course. One visit was way too much.

Yelp
This review is based solely on the food. Our black out dining experience was fun and our waitress Que was amazing! However, the food was subpar. I was hoping to introduce vegan dining to my family (they did not know it was vegan) and they would realize that there is more enjoyable food options than just meat and potatoes. Unfortunately, this did the opposite. The first few courses were enough but by the main entree, it was boring and bland. They were so many opportunities to blow us away especially with our taste buds heightened bc of the blackout experience but it just fell short. Sad to say the dinner was a disappointment, the experience was not.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that I almost never give 5 stars. This was one of the most unique and satisfying experiences I've ever had. I visited on a Saturday evening for a surprise date night. when we pulled into the parking lot I was so confused because the location does not look like a date night area. When we entered we were immediately greeted and provided instructions for the evening. We placed all of our belongings into a provided locker. Our waiter was amazing. He was kind, funny and extremely patient and attentive. When they say "dine in the dark" they are not kidding. It is pitch dark. The waiters are amazing and help facilitate the 7 course meal process. Each course was so tasty. We really enjoyed being able to use our other senses on a new level (taste, touch and smell) to enjoy our meal. We added additional cocktails to our meal they were wonderful. After your experience they allow you to take a look at the menu to see what you ate. We love to eat and we were pleasantly surprised that we guessed all of the dishes correctly except one. I would most definitely do this again!! I feel so grateful to have had this experience. It is definitely something you want to try if you love new experiences.

Yelp
Absolutely thrilled with our experience. I always wanted to go, husband booked a rezzy, and I must admit I was really hesitant to go once I realized it was exclusively plant based (hit me with a ribeye every night of the week lol!). This place is so much fun, my cheeks still hurt from smiling so hard through dinner. It's pitch black. Like, can't see your hand in front of your own face dark. What a concept. I own a restaurant myself so operating a successful food concept with zero "ambiance" is completely impressive but the ambiance itself is the entire concept. Our waitress Anna was a doll. Hilarious, insightful, prompt, thorough. Loved her. Food was awesome. Again, let me reiterate, I was so nervous to go when I found out it was all plant based. Not that I hate vegetables, but I've just never had vegan food executed well. 10/10 on the food. I can't give the menu away or it would ruin it for you, but we loved everything we had. I can't wait to bring out of town friends and family here. It's a really cool concept and it was such a fun date night!

Yelp
It was ok. A lot of people like it but I am not impressed with the menu for the price we paid. No meat. All plant based. And a lot of over powering flavors like vinegar. One of the hostesses were rude because I had a food allergy. She said is it life threatening? When I said no, she said oh so you just don't want it. No I want it but unfortunately I break out in horrible whelped hives that require a cortisone shot to alleviate symptoms! So no I will not be returning but it was an interesting adventure for sure.

Yelp
I had such a fun time here!! If you are looking to splurge a little on a meal and experience- this is exactly what you are looking for! I don't want to give too much of the experience away but I had a lot of fun with my group, our server was amazing- he was super funny and helpful, and the food was definitely enjoyable! I would highly recommend this experience!!

Yelp
This exceeded my expectations...even though I had none going in!! BLACKOUT Dining in the Dark I have known about for quite some time. I used to be under the impression that why would you go there and come out looking like a mess! That's not the case! To say it's dark inside is an understatement! You literally can't see a THING!! This is where your other senses take over. Granted, you have no way of knowing how big the dining room actually is, but you immediately focus on hearing other diners talking to one another. You hear servers speaking to new guests that must have just gotten seated and are learning the ropes just as you did! The food is pleasantly very good! Your senses that you would normally not use while looking at the food you are eating are now taking over. The flavors tend to stand out more. There are some things you are eating by hand, but actually very little. You will eat your multiple courses using spoons, knives, and forks, and it eventually all makes sense! You won't come out a hot mess, and it's best enjoyed with a small group of friends, but regardless...it's certainly worth this unique dining experience...in the DARK!!

Yelp
This was such a fun experience! I went with a friend before a concert and truly had no idea what to expect. Yes, its significantly darker than you'd think, but when you get out of that headspace and learn to enjoy whats happening, its a very cool sensory experience. Our server, Jacob, was awesome and very good at making us feel comfortable. My friend took a little longer to get into it than I did, which is fine, but once she had a drink it was all good. We had a blast trying to guess what was in each course, and the food was delicious! Being vegetarian there is always usually something i have to opt out of trying when eating out, but this whole menu was plant based which was an awesome added bonus. This would be super fun to do with a group, but was equally as fun with just one other person. We really got to experience something new together, and learn to connect without sight.

Yelp
If you're in Vegas, you need to check out this place! My best friend and I were in from Canada and decided to check it out. To make a reservation, we had to provide a $40 deposit each (which would be taken off our final bill). When we arrived, no lockers were available. But, we were able to put everything (cell phones, bags, camera) behind the counter with the gals at the front. Our server was loads of fun! He prepped us for what was going to happen, walked us through everything, and literally guided us into the room. The table space was smaller. I was in a seat by a wall, which I found comforting. It was loud due to larger parties. I have a soft voice, so I can't speak too loud. It was freezing during the experience. So please remember to bring a sweater - we went in August. The experience itself was wonderful and the food was divine! It was really unique dining in the dark! After a short amount of time, you'll get used to eating without using your eyes. We even progressed to using our knives (butter knives, but still). We enjoyed all courses, but didn't like the last course. The experience is really what made it for us. It was fun guessing what each dish was. Just remember to check if you have a glow in the dark backpack - and if you do, make sure you put it in a locker before the meal!

Yelp
Such a fun experience! My friend and I were laughing through the entire meal and had the best time. I don't want to ruin the food surprises for you, so I'll keep the menu a secret. ;) I will say the food was good, not spectacular but Blackout is much more the experience. It was 7 courses and we left incredibly full, 90 minutes later. Service was beyond amazing. Your server is your guide and you're putting a lot of trust into them. Ours was so friendly, descriptive and it's kind of like Disney's Jungle Cruise. It's over the top with little corny jokes strewn through the meal. It is truly a blackout adventure. Your eyes will not adjust. You will not see anything except a few tiny little dots floating in the air from your server's night vision goggles. I swear, we laughed so much and had a lot of fun with our journey. If you can submit yourself to the experience, you will absolutely have a five star time!
