Breakfast is B minus; dinner seems better although we only had one dish. Breakfast Cappuccino: the cheap kind you’d get in a vending machine. Omelette: decent but the home fries were tasteless. Yogurt and Granola: very basic. The side of fruit was mainly filler fruit. Service was very good both times we visited. Overall a classic 3.5-4 with potential for a five if the menu can be changed.

Google
An underrated place for a good afternoon chat. Food is beyond my expectation for a cafe in a hotel. Excellent service. The server gave us great food recommendations

Google
We popped in for breakfast. This place is extremely charming. Tyler, food and atmosphere were delightful. Came back another day for lunch, food again perfect. Joe is the epitome of a great bartender. Thank you friends.

Google
Nice little eatery in the lobby of the Hotel Indigo. Tables could do with re-setting when people leave - there were no napkins or cutlery provided (or offered, when food was served), and no hint of any condiments. Will say that their BLATC (Bacon, Lettuce, Avo, Tomato, Cheese) flatbread with home fries is incredible though. Just the tonic for a cold and rainy Boston lunch. Coffee was nice too! Definitely recommended for a well-priced lunch spot.

We went before going to see a Celtics game and it was crowded, however, the service was great. Everything came out quickly. The mustard chicken sandwich is a must as well as the espresso martini. It’s a really good spot to hang out before a TD garden event. I would definitely come back again.

Went for breakfast. Everything was great and piping hot. Breakfast potatoes had a little crispness which I appreciate and were freshly prepared. Maria kept our coffee cups filled and was very attentive. Got the food right out to us which is why it stayed so hot.

Google
I have been here a bunch of times and have always had a great experience. John Mike is an awesome bartender , very attentive. he made me One of the best margaritas I have ever had , with a slightly heavy pour 💪🏻 the Food portions are generous Everything tastes great and comes quickly! The vibe is awesome -Overall a great place to go to watch the Celtics or any sports game -music playing but not so loud that you can't hear yourself talk. everyone is always enjoying there self if you go in look for the athletic guy working the bar that looks like he could punch threw a brick wall he will make you a drink that will blow your socks off 🧦💨🦶🏻And you can thank me later

Google
After ordering my benedict, it took almost 10 minutes to find out they were out of hollandaise sauce. Rather than ask for the menu back to start over, I just opted to take it without the hollandaise. Then when it came out, the poached eggs were closer to hard boiled. They gave me a free fruit cup rather than take any money off my bill, so there’s that… Pretty expensive Egg McMuffin.

Yelp
Been looking for a place like this for years. I found it on a recent ELO concert we attended. Never again will I strain to hear the friends I choose to bring to my table! If you are looking for a place to eat right across the street from The Garden that has great food, great vibe, no drama, somewhat subdued, Please get your name in. Howie K

Yelp
Located in the Hotel Indigo, we stopped in not expecting much. Had coffee, juice, French toast and the Eggs Benedict. Coffee and juice were fine, as was the Eggs Benedict. However, the French Toast was cold. Alerted our server, who promptly replaced it. (Probably, taking it off another order, as she then went to another table and said their order was slightly delayed). Standard stuff.

Yelp
We came here because it's in the hotel and wanted a quick meal before the game. They were so incredibly backed up. Service was good for how insane it was (4 nations face off). The food is okay. We both got the west end breakfast and my toast was burnt. We had waited for 20 minutes to be sat and an hour and 15 minutes for the food so I didn't send it back so not docking them for that - that's on me, but the food is just okay. For this area - I would go elsewhere for quality and price. It was $50 for breakfast for 2 people not Including the tip.

Yelp
Hotel restaurants tend to be hit or miss, so I was a tiny bit skeptical, though hopeful, of the 4.0 rating here. Had dinner last night. The BLATC pita was tasty! The avocado was more like guac, which I prefer to slices. The drink was a bit meh, to be honest. I don't remember what it was called, but it had Midori and was a signature cocktail. Nice fireplace/ambiance. Waitress was nice as well. Came back later after a show and got the honey mustard chicken tenders. They don't look entirely appetizing with the sauce on them, but, wow! Delicious! Had another drink (toasted almond) that, again, was just okay. Would come back for the food, but not necessarily the drinks.

Kyle P.

Yelp
Came through after the Celts game and had a few cocktails prior but, wow, the nachos with the buffalo chicken on top were borderline life changing.

Rhonda S.

Yelp
My huband and I went in for a quick dinner due to us staying at the hotel and having to pack to leave the next day. We each ordered the steak pannini and french fries well done. The fries were excellent. I asked to substitue onions for the included red peppers. We also requested they put cheese on them (see pic). REALLY? This is food service 101. When you request cheese, you want it in the sandwich not ON IT. It appeared for their panninis they grilled the "bread" and then put the meat etc in between with no actual use of a pannini press. Nothing to write home about, but ok when looking for something quick. Priced TOO HIGH for quality. I believe it was $27.00 although online menus state $22.

Yelp
We definitely enjoyed Blakes in Boston. It's got a cozy vibe and some seriously skilled bartenders. Our favorite bartender is John! He is always so friendly and his cocktails are top-notch. The atmosphere is perfect for a chill night out! Great location right by the Garden. The food at this bar is also incredible, they have great wings and the flavors are on point. We have tried quite a few menu items and everything is cooked to perfection. Definitely coming back for more. The Owner JR is super friendly and is the man. Thank you guys, see you soon :)

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp while awaiting my Amtrak train at North Station. Located in a hotel only a block away from North Station. Went for breakfast and was very satisfied. Had 2 eggs, bacon, toast, OJ, and coffee. No frills and was reasonably priced. Friendly wait staff. For those awaiting an evening train it also has a bar. If I'm ever back at North Station again and looking for breakfast, I would return.

Eric B.

Yelp
Everything here was fantastic. Came after a game and the service, ambiance, food, etc was top notch. This will remain a staple when attended events at the garden.

Gee-Wey Y.

Yelp
Loved this spot and would go back! Located conveniently right across from TD Garden, this nice clean spot is attached to Hotel Indigo. We went before a game on a Thursday and were able to get a table (reservations suggested on weekends when there is a game). Bartenders made drinks that slapped. For food, we got chips and guac, kale salad, and chicken "sandwhiches." Again, loved it all including the prompt and attentive service - so that we could catch the game in time. Highly recommend!

Katarzyna G.

Yelp
Went to Blakes with some friends after the game in TD for a nigh cap and food. The staff is super friendly and attentive. food was delicious and drinks strong! what else do you need to finish the night strong?!

Lori B.

Yelp
We stayed at Hotel Indigo and visited the bar on 3 consecutive nights. The bar served late night snacks and John the bartender gave us tips on sites to see. He was fun and engaging while making some special request drinks! It was a great place to wind down after long days of visiting Boston.

Yelp
We walked into such a nice atmosphere nice fireplace very classy we ordered the nachos with the steak they were the best we ever had and such a big portion the steak was so tender delish next we had the burgers so bog and juicy best burger around the chicken wings fresh and crispy excellent this place is a must try you will not be disappointed

Katie B.

Yelp
Great service and decent brunch. Reviewing so that others can find the breakfast menu, which is impossible to find online.

luis P.

Yelp
Fruit bowl was just honeydew melon and red grapes. Avacado toast was premade grocery store mix, and toast was soggy. Service was okay.

Judy M.

Yelp
Never got to try their food or cocktails since no one would serve us. We walked in to a nearly deserted restaurant/bar. No one was there to seat us so we grabbed a table by the window. A few minutes later someone came to tell us that it was reserved. Then he added that since we were already sitting there, we could stay. We thought it was a little odd, and wasn't sure if he was joking since there was hardly anyone else in the restaurant. After several minutes, a waitress came to us and asked us what we wanted to order. We asked for a drink menu, and she whirled away to go get one, and then we never saw her at our table again. Meanwhile, the people who were at the table next to us, and came in after us, were attended to several times. We finally got up and left after about 20 minutes from entering. It is a rare thing that we just give up, but we weren't going to sit around any longer. And it was a sad thing for the business, because we were staying at that hotel and would have made use of the close proximity, repeatedly. They lost our business. For anyone still reading this, Hurricane's on Canal St. was the exact opposite.

Molly B.

Yelp
It was good! The food was tasty, not super memorable but I was definitely satisfied. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here but it was nice. The only negative comment I have is that our waitress was not really available, she was very nice but kept disappearing into the kitchen for long periods of time so we couldn't find her to get her attention and ask for what we needed. She was the only one on duty (the place was basically empty when we went) so we couldn't get a different staff member's attention either because there were none. The restaurant was beautiful, dim lighting and lovely subtle decoration, very clean and very classy.

Sean F.

Yelp
(Always grade against type) Honestly, if you are in the area, headed to a game or need something a little unexpectedly nice...but just a regular burger or fries, this place is very good. Stayed at the adjoining hotel, came in for dinner, steak tips, they were excellent. Friend had chicken entree and raved. Bartender held down the fist for the whole place, did a great job. Think nice neighborhood place with someone who knows what they are doing in the kitchen. I'd come back.

Ken L.

Yelp
We stopped in for breakfast before heading to North Station to catch our train. The food was good worth the cost. Our server did a fantastic job he was very polite and professional.

Jordan B.

Yelp
Had such a great meal here at Blake's. Everything tasted fantastic. Started with a Cranberry Tom Collins. As someone who doesn't really drink alcohol, this was perfect. It wasn't too strong and was really refreshing. Went down so easy! For an appetizer we had a soft pretzel with beer cheese and mustard. You really can't go wrong with a soft pretzel. It was good but not mindblowing. The shape of it also was a little funky but that doesn't matter so much. For the sides we chose a cesar salad and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese portion was generous for a side and was so delicious! Who doesn't love mac and cheese?! The salad was good addition just to have some veg The main courses were the best part of the meal. Both the steak tips and the lacquered chicken. I was blown away by how juicy the chicken was and it was in the middle of sauce bath. I am salivating just thinking about it! The steak tip portion was a little small, but very delicious. And the béarnaise sauce was a great compliment. Lastly, cannolis. I think they rival some in the North End. So good.

nate r.

Yelp
Do not go here. The breakfast sandwich was $17 and the bagel came straight from a plastic bag and onto my plate. Super nice bartender, but $50 for 2 breakfast sandwiches is a crime.

Sue D.

Yelp
Went to the Bruins game the other night, and our bartender Sarah was fantastic! She truly had the art of the expresso martini down to a tee!! Loved the atmosphere and the friendly staff. We will definitely go back.

Rebecca K.

Yelp
I checked this spot out on a Saturday night when out trying to find a spot to watch the Bruins Game. There were lines out the doors of the typical sports bars and this place was playing the game with the sound and had a table open! It's in the lobby of the Hotel Indigo. The menu is short but have a special of buy an alcoholic beverage and get half off wings or burgers. So that's what we got.. the wings and an order of fries. Decent fries! Cut with the skin on and not greasy. I can stand fries like that. Average beverage list. Average ambiance. Service could have been better. The manager gave the best service. 2 best things about this place is the pretty fireplace and the sound on for the Bs game.

Joanne M.

Yelp
I can't say which was my favorite the food or the excellent staff and service we received. Higgins took great care of us and introduced my son to his new favorite fountain drink a Roy Rogers! We will be back they treated us better than family!

Larry S.

Yelp
Spectacular hidden gem in the TD Garden neighborhood. Excellent service, friendly guests, and great food. Bianca, Monique, and Monica are masters at their craft and make you feel like you're at home. Music is good and sometimes the owner even comes around to introduce himself to patrons. Quality experience all around

Roxanne C.

Yelp
Can't say enough about this place location perfect small enough that you can hear yourself talk Monique the bartender, friendly makes a great drink JR the owner chef, friendly, generous, and can cook

Maureen C.

Yelp
My favorite place to go before and after a game. Great food, the vibe and ambiance is a little nicer than all the other bars around there. Service is the best all the bartenders make sure you feel at home and have a good time

Ricky C.

Yelp
Food is excellent, I highly recommend the burger and the meatballs. Really cool rotating beer selection and so convenient next to the TD garden for Celtics game. It has a speakeasy vibe, dimly lit with a cool hidden side entrance. The bartenders make really tasty drinks. Would highly recommend before and after Celtics and bruins games!

Jeremy B.

Yelp
I love the drinks and food at Blake's. It has been my go to spot when I am in town for a game!

Declan O.

Yelp
The food is trash, the drinks are mediocre, but it's the only bar in the neighborhood that stays open late until the time they advertise.

Suzanne P.

Yelp
Excellent service and delicious food. Though tucked away inside a lovely hotel, this restaurant is not to be missed in terms of the Boston food scene. Upscale pub food and hand crafted cocktails set this restaurant apart from other typical TD garden pre-game spots. My husband and I had the burger and lobster roll and both were fantastic. The fries were also delicious! I had the cranberry gin cocktail and my husband an old fashioned, both which were perfectly balanced. We also ordered the buffalo cauliflower which was the perfect snack and so crispy! Our meals came with herb popovers and maple bourbon butter which was such a special addition. We finished off with cannoli, which in my opinion are as good if not better than the north end options. I can't wait to come back!

John B.

Yelp
Nice bartender who strides to make sure the cocktails are mixed perfectly. I really love the decor and ambiance. Exposed brick walls and vintage accents.

Mike T.

Yelp
Terrific restaurant and bar in a very nice setting. The burger was exceptionally well done, with extra crispy fries, and the artisan drinks all seemed carefully made. Certainly not a sports bar, which makes it an outlier for the location, but a nice spot for breakfast (Also good, though simple), dinner, or a drink if you're travels bring you in this direction.

Todd G.

Yelp
Elger was fabulous. We met my relatives at the bar to catch up. The bar staff were so helpful and we ended up staying for hours, thank you for all the food suggestions. Great spending the evening with you

Lauren B.

Yelp
We stopped in here before a Bruins game because it was the only place with a seat- it only took us a few minutes to figure out why. We sat at the bar. It took forever for the bartender to greet and take our order and when she finally did take our order, she only remembered one drink and put it down in front of my husband when it was my drink. Drinks weren't great so we asked for the check. We gave our card immediately when she put down the check and it still took her forever to check us out. Meanwhile 2 other servers were at the end of the bar just staring at us and the bartender (eating and charging their phones). What a weird experience. It's very clear there was no direction and the bartender was less than prepared, very erratic girl. We won't be back.

Holli T.

Yelp
This was the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. We were the only people in the restaurant; we ordered (group of 9) 8 lobster rolls and they came back 35 minutes later and told us there wasn't enough lobster for the lobster rolls. Then, they forgot to bring out multiple items. And one guest was served 20 minutes later than everyone else... after all the food was cold or eaten. We were charged full price $411 for the meal. Absolutely terrible experience. Wouldn't reccomend.

Philip C.

Yelp
I go to Boston for work regularly and usually go to the North End for dinner. Super happy to find Blake's right across from TD Garden. It was a great departure from the regular bar options you have in that area. Simple menu with really good quality food. Cool bar with a good variety of cocktails. Really like the decor and the bartender and server were awesome. I'll definitely be back.

H L.

Yelp
Blake's is a charming restaurant with a hip industrial feel. The brunch menu is nice and the staff is attentive and friendly. Lobster roll is good and the bar has good selection. I would go back when in the Boston Area. Very close to TD center.

Nick K.

Yelp
Mac And Cheese was just decent and took way longer than expected. The Cheese was more like water and Pasta was OverCoooked plus the people at the bar were super Drunk and Annoying.

Alex P.

Yelp
Such good food and great atmosphere! Easy location right near TD Garden. Loved the steak tips, and the mac and cheese side was amazing (and so large for a side)! Super friendly staff and a great experience-- can't wait to go back.

Chrissie M.

Yelp
I'll start by saying I did not choose Blake's we were going to a concert in the area & a friend chose. I typically avoid hotel restaurants. Walk in not a soul in the place the hostess is struggling to find our reservation ummm even if you don't have it I'm pretty sure it's not a problem but okay keep looking. I went to use the bathroom it's in the basement of the hotel & pretty sketchy bc there was nobody down there. I asked for their classic mojito, it was 1000% not a mojito & it was freaking $14. It had no flavor other than sour & nary a piece of mint to be had. I should've sent it back I wish I did. We had oysters, I ate one and wished I didn't. The pretzel would've been the best thing if it weren't caked in salt, also the cheese dip was broken & lumpy, I split the wedge salad & steak tips with hub. First bite of the wedge salad and I swear something tasted like what I assume dirty mop water would taste like. How do you mess up a wedge salad! The bacon was gross, tasted old. The kicker was the steak tips. Legit $31 mofo for 6 tiny tips & fries. Seriously, $31??? It's not like they wagyu for God's sake. How do you justify that? They weren't even good. So for two couples we paid $220.00 and I've never been more annoyed & embarrassed frankly. The hostess/\*server/'bartender' was fine but clearly she's not a bartender. This is why people avoid hotel restaurants. I felt so ripped off & sad that tourists may think this is good by Boston standards because it is not...

Christine B.

Yelp
Great place to have a glass of wine after dinner. It's connected to the Indigo hotel. Frances and Monique are the best bartenders: very friendly and fun to talk with.

Taylor F.

Yelp
This is a good food restaurant. I did not personally enjoy the wait staff. They were nice and helpful but had a strong northern attitude and your girl is from Arkansas so the vibes didn't work as well. I would warn that the poached eggs on the Benedict come out as hard poached (almost like hard boiled eggs). This threw us off and we asked for soft poached eggs. Over all not bad, pretty small place but not crowded. The other thing is that the restaurant is inside a hotel so it may be kinda hard to find.

Josh O.

Yelp
Some of the best Mac and Cheese you can eat. Friendly staff and were very prompt and quick with our orders. The oysters were also pretty fresh and above the average we've had here in Boston. I would recommend this restaurant.

Sheri F.

Yelp
Good breakfast at a reasonable price. Excellent service. Best breakfast in the area and open before most others in the area.

Jody A.

Yelp
Pretty little place but a disaster poorly run unprofessional staff . Food was good but a very limited menu. Bartender was unsure of herself and drinks had to be sent back twice. Our waitress was lovely but, caught between a rock and a hard place !

Ajay M.

Yelp
Blake's was a welcome surprise - we hadn't heard of it but walked by and found it to be a very lovely spot, great design and very comfortable. The food was really good - I was expecting bar food but it was really nice. Definitely recommend the chicken!

JM M.

Yelp
Food and drinks were awesome. Service was great and the atmosphere was pretty cool. Be sure to try the popovers!!!!
