Austin Cider Company Austin Eastciders Acquired by Blake’s Hard Cider | Eater Austin

"I note that Gerald Blake and Elisabeth Blake founded Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill in Armada, Michigan, in 1946 and the farm stayed in the family; in 2013 Andrew Blake launched Blake’s Hard Cider using apples from the farm and expanded availability across America. Blake’s Beverage Company, led by CEO and founder Andrew Blake, acquired Bend, Oregon–based Avid Cider Company in March 2022 and then merged with Austin Eastciders on November 1 as part of its goal to 'become the largest independent cider company' in America, and now oversees operations and farms in New York, Michigan, Oregon, and Texas." - Nadia Chaudhury

Where to find cider and doughnuts in Metro Detroit | Eater Detroit

"Established in 1947 as one of Michigan’s original U-pick orchards, this family-owned destination grows more than 40 apple varieties and offers activities beyond picking — visitors can navigate the corn mazes and eat in the tasting room, where a local favorite is the Big Apple burger with sautéed apples; there are vegan options like the Impossible burger and salads such as The Blakes Apple Salad, and you can finish with a cup of cider or stop by the market for crumble apple pie, donuts, or more cider to take home." - Amber Ogden

Detroit Microbrewery Files Trademark Lawsuit Against Blake’s Hard Cider - Eater Detroit

"Blake's Hard Cider, a Michigan-based beverage brand, is facing a lawsuit from Traffic Jam & Snug for allegedly infringing on the trademark of the 'Traffic Jam' name. Blake’s released a Traffic Jam triple berry-infused hard cider in May, which is available in 18 states. The lawsuit claims that this could deceive consumers into thinking there is an association between the brands. Blake's began selling hard cider in 2013 and is reviewing the complaint through its trademark attorneys." - Brenna Houck

Very nice place for family outing, specially for kids. Kids will enjoy a lot with lot of different types of activities. U-pick is a plus for kids or fruit/vegetables picking enthusiasts. It has truck and train rides for visitors, if you want to pick apples you have to buy bags, min $35 a bag. Train ride is a non-stop 15min ride. You can buy some snacks, but its expensive. I saw a dine in restaurant, but didn't get time to explore, cider mill has variety of delicious jams, veggies, juice, donuts. I like the big tents in different places, it gave me the comfort of resting and eating at different places. Bathrooms are well maintained. Overall, its a 4 plus place to visit in fall with family. Bring some snacks with you if you want to avoid some expensive snacks. Staffs are very helpful and informative. Definitely will visit again.

Great place for families to spend the day. Sunflower Festival was going on this weekend. Restaurant with very good food and options. Petting zoo and playground for little ones and tap room and music for the adults. Highly recommend a visit. All year long activities 🌻🍻

Google
Amazed, and worth the drive! Blake's Orchard & Cider Mill is a great place to visit with your family. I had purchased their cider in the grocery store numerous times in the past, but I had never visited their Orchard and cider Mill. There is a large campus with plenty of parking and plenty to do. There are hayrides for the children, also a wheeled train to ride on. You can purchase cider and donuts, or if you are hungry purchase lunch items and set on the numerous picnic tables to enjoy yourself. Various buildings in tents set up to explore their operation. There is a separate area on the campus to pick your own apples. I was amazed at the size this operation. Expect large crowds in season on the weekend.

Google
Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill is such a great place to spend a few hours! There’s truly something for everyone. The kids had a blast with all the activities designed just for them, which makes it a very family-friendly spot. The farmers market store is incredible—so many unique selections of jams, teas, fresh fruits and veggies, even local liquors. We also really enjoyed “Blake’s Tasting Room.” Being able to order small flights of their ciders, beers, and wines was a fun way to sample a variety, and the food menu paired perfectly. The grounds are very well-kept and create a really inviting atmosphere to relax and socialize. Whether you’re going for family fun, fresh market shopping, or just to enjoy some good drinks with friends, Blake’s delivers. Highly recommend!

Google
Their ciders are awesome and the sunflower festival was a fun addition. Flowers were beautiful and the Blake's merch for it was all awesome. I will add that there seemed to be too many vendors with mass produced items for sale. Cider and donuts were great. Long lines for food trucks and check out in the store, expect to wait. Lots to do for kids and although parking is far, they do have a tractor that takes you back and forth. Lines for self picking with your own car were so backed up, some people waited for hours. Lots of people were new working some check out areas so, they really couldn't help guide you and did provide some incorrect info. We have attended a few times before and Halloween is a blast there, would recommend at that time also.

Google
Me and my friend went to Blake's this weekend for the sunflowers festival and our dreams came true!! 🌻🌻 We absolutely loved it here and it was amazing to see how many small businesses they help support with the market! We got food there and the wings were the best wings I've ever had and reasonably priced and amazing portions! We can't wait to come back this fall and pick apples & drink cider! 🍎🍂

Allen Shreffler

Google
Nice place to take family or friends for an afternoon for an Ale or Hard Cider. The drink selection is good and the food is better than average. There are festivals held periodically, we happened upon the Sunflower festival. Apple picking when in season.

Google
Going to Blake's has become a beloved family tradition for us! We visit at least twice a year — once in early summer for their amazing strawberry picking and again in the fall for apple season. Their strawberries are unbelievably sweet and perfect for making homemade jam, which has become a favorite for our kids' peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. During strawberry season, they also sell strawberry donuts that are absolutely delicious, and their shortcake mix makes really, really good strawberry shortcake. In the fall, we love coming back for fresh cider and donuts — all while enjoying the fun fall festivities. The cider and donuts are always fresh, flavorful, and a highlight of the season. The atmosphere at Blake's is truly top notch — it feels festive, welcoming, and like a true celebration of the seasons. Their berry cider and cherry hard cider are also my personal favorites — so good! Blake's Farms is such a special place, and we’re grateful to have it. Highly recommend visiting if you haven't yet!

Yelp
Amazing place to visit! We didn't realize there were multiple locations for Blake's all within a couple mile radius... do your research as they all offer something a little different! We went to the orchard and cider mill and it was great! There are lots of different buildings that all have something different. We managed to get our hands on some of the hard ciders and they did not disappoint. It was $8 for a glass which I thought was well worth it. There are many different places to sit from picnic tables to chairs and a white tent to enjoy as well. They have a restaurant but the wait was over 2 hours so we skipped this time around. We managed to get our hands on some of their hotdogs and they were very tasty! I highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away for the day with family. There was a petting zoo and other activities for kids but also tasty drinks for the adults. When we went it was very busy but still worth the drive out there!

Yelp
Went to sunflower festival. Blake's sells peaches in glass mason jars( I hate the taste of plastic containers they alter the taste I wish the apple sauce was in a glass jar or I would have bought that also. I did by the apple butter though. Sadly they broke the location of the vendors tents into two groups a group at far side of Blake's Store and Beer Garden and then rest of the vendors were between sunflower fields and train station . Almost missed a whole bunch of artsy vendors and a flower tent. It rained so we choose to buy 2- bunches of cut flowers and a plant for $24. Great local jewelry and household decor hand made. loved the wood burning plaques with unfinished edges artist will buy from her again

Yelp
I loved watching the process of them making apple cider! We watched them for about 20 minutes and they explained the process. We love their donuts and cider. There's an accessible bathroom and parking.

Yelp
Buzzing place in October. We came to pick our own apples. Lot of freedom and trees and it is an awesome experience. You're coming here for a a family fun. Oh, cinnamon and plain donuts are a must.

Yelp
Had an awesome time! We took a family trip here on Saturday afternoon. I must say it was very busy, but we enjoyed the hayride and walking around eating the warm donuts and the cider is amazing! They have lots of activities for kids and some really nice cider beers and wine tasting in the back for the adults. It's really a great place to spend a few hours during the fall weather. That's when we enjoyed it listening from Georgia. It was really nice to visit this place in the cooler months. I recommend going earlier in the day because it appears to get even busier in the evenings. We decided to return next fall and spend a little bit more time and try different events. The corn maze looks pretty fun as well.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I went here for an anniversary and it was much larger than we were expecting. They had loads of seats for people to sit at which was nice. We got 3 hard ciders and they were all great. We also got a 6 pack of donuts and they were okay. I can see how this place would be amazing during fall temps
google avatar

Yelp
Favorite cider mill out of all of them. The cider and donuts are amazing and fresh. The food and restaurants are all amazing. Lots of fun activities for the kids. The apples were all fresh and juicy while apple picking. Lots of nice pumpkins to choose from. Family friendly and so much fun! Hayrides and train rides too!

Yelp
Blake's orchards has three locations in the Armada area. This is the largest location and they have a large variety of apples to pick in the fall as well as you pick fruits and veggies. We also enjoy picking the strawberries, cherries and raspberries in early summer. They tend to get very busy on the weekends so we usually go there on a weekday to avoid the large crowds. They have the best cider and donuts and many other treats and baked goods available. I'm lucky this location is very close to where I live so I stop there often. Blake's is also very good to locals offering free cider and donuts several times throughout the season as a thank you for Armada residents.

Yelp
Very pleasant experience. Kids had fun. Food was ok. Donuts are wonderful. Will go back.

Yelp
Had an absolute BLAST at Blake's Orchard & Cider Mill! Came here prior to the fall/pumpkin season and it was still packed, but there happened to be an event going on that weekend for beer so that was mainly why. My family was only interested in experiencing the farm and getting their famous apple cider donuts so thank God we didn't have to deal with the long line of people waiting to get into the event! We ended up eating at Blake's Tasting Room and enjoyed our experience there. My husband and I shared the nachos and my husband got a flight of their different flavored ciders. I think he tried four different ciders and really only liked one or two of them. The Apple Pie and I think Caramel apple were his faves. The nachos were a great choice to keep us satisfied until later. The farm was such a fun time for us all. We got to feed the pets they had in the barn. A mix of horses, llamas, rabbits, pigs etc. just be careful when feeding them, they will try to steal your entire cup of food! We also got to race around little tractors and my sister, her husband and his cousin ended up getting lost in the corn maze for an hour. Beware if you go into there that it may take a while to find your way out and you will get mud all over your shoes and clothing! My husband and I decided not to go into the corn maze (thank god!) and explored around the farm for a bit. It's quite large so there's a lot of walking involved. We also took the tractor ride that goes around the entire property and talks about Blake's history. They offer u-pick for a bunch of different fruits, vegetables and even plants! It was very interesting the vast majority of what they have to offer. We ended the day in their general store. Of course we had to get their famous apple cider donuts and fresh apple cider! Very delicious and the donuts were warm and soft. They have a bunch of other items for purchase like bakery items, jams, apparel, and even their cider! Highly recommend visiting Blake's Orchard & Cider Mill! It's a fun experience for everyone!

Yelp
We had a good time at Blakes. I am originally from Michigan and love cider mills. There's just some thing about freshly pressed apple cider and warm donuts. Every time I visit Michigan in the fall. I always stop at at least one Cidermill. Food - the donuts and the cider were delicious. I had a frozen apple cider which I believe came in a 12 ounce cup for eight dollars. I felt it was a bit pricey, but I did enjoy it. Service - everyone was very friendly and attentive Ambience - very quietly decorated and had a farmers market feel. They pull taffy and make some very appealing products, such as hot donuts, fresh, baked, pies, and caramel apples.

Yelp
We never have a bad time at Blake's. It's always a great time, the drinks are great, and the food is outstanding!

Levi S.

Yelp
Terrible experience. Vague pricing for upick. 20 dollar minimum turned into $29 for apples. Car inspection like border. Left hatchback open without notice. Hostile employee. Never return.
google avatar

William J.

Yelp
What a great place to try hard ciders and craft food. You have to try a flight. 6 different tastes were real cheap. It was very nice and open on a Thursday. Weekends must be busy.
google avatar

Ericka B.

Yelp
Rule number one, before making the crazy drive out to Blakes check the hours!! We did not and it hurt that we couldn't hit the orchard because they close at 5pm. Blake's has tons of options, soo many family friendly activities and building for things not food trucks or tents. This is key because weather was not pretty when we came out so having shelter was awesome. The cider was amazing (as always) the cinnamon sugar donuts are killer. We left with two bags full of goodies. great family afternoon
google avatar

Diane B.

Yelp
Drove 1 hr 20 mins to find we could not take our dog into the craft show which was $14 per person admission so you could go in walk around and spend more money -- BRING YOUR WALLET - this place will cost you - my husband sat in the car with our 15 year old dog who was in a stroller because she can't walk well and is deaf - I understand not going into a farm market with food but the craft show was outside tents made no sense -- well it was a been there done that trip .. Hubby said he won't come back - at least it was a nice drive out to the place and we found a smaller you pick flower and farm stand up the road - gave them our business
google avatar

Chelsea C.

Yelp
Come one, come all; from near and far. Blake's is well worth the drive. Absolutely free to get into the property but pay a small fee to gain access to features (listed on their website). Cider mill (outside express lane AND inside), tasting room (get your name on the wait list EARLY), burger tent, another food kitchen, and many bar sections. Also has a section you can buy packs of cider. GLUTEN FREE DONUTS, fudge, caramel apples, cider slushees (spiked and regular), lots and lots and lots of stuff!

Yelp
2/18/2023 Chili Cook Off 1-4pm - Complete waste of time and money, $27 for "all you can eat chili tasting" + Blakes pint glass + drink ticket for 1 pint of beer or cider. Blakes didn't put any thought into organizing the crowds, let alone managing the chaotic lines to make sure paying customers at least get a sample of chili. Staff nowhere to be found except at the check-in tent collecting money. This was just a big money grab. We arrived at 2 pm to find long lines at various tents or buildings where you're suppose to taste the chili and get your free one pint beer or cider. No signs indicating what was where. You can follow a paper map provided at check-in or just follow the lines which is what most people did, only to realize they were in the wrong line or it overlapped into another long line. Zero crowd control, and no direction by any Blakes staff. Very limited seating unless you don't mind sitting outside in the cold. There were people even using the covered trash cans as tables. This is not all you can eat as advertised. You would be lucky to get a free small ketchup cup size sample after waiting an 1 hr in line. To try multiple samples you would have had to bring your own tray to carry them with you to sample. Veterans of this event brought their own trays or muffin tins to hold the chili. For newcomers who don't know this, we were left trying to hold as many ketchup cup size samples as we could in our hands. This was definitely not worth $27/person.
google avatar

Regina E.

Yelp
Best apple orchard and cider mill--hands down! The food selection is always fresh and delicious. The crowds are large, so be sure to go early in order to explore all of the amenities. There are plenty of activities for kids and adults. You won't be disappointed!

Eric W.

Yelp
Poorly managed. Takes way too long to get out of parking lot. Lot attendants are rude. Cider and donuts are way overpriced at $1 a donut.
google avatar

Aimee G.

Yelp
Came here mid-september and the weather was perfect!! Nice cool breeze but still sunny. We have a toddler who was fussy since we woke her from her nap and she wasn't in the best mood BUT the pumpkin patch definitely distracted her which was good! We had their sugar doughnuts, apple cider slushee, and a cup of hard cider! It was a perfect evening lots of bees roaming around though! We didn't do fun-land only bc we knew our toddler would be there for 10 minutes then wanna leave. Overall, great experience for the kids and adults!

Yelp
Oh Blake's Blakes Blake's. There's really so much to say about this Orchard and Cider Mill. I've been coming here for years and it's still great. Now being all the way up in Armada, it is quite a hike for me, but always worth it. With as big as Blake's is, it seems like the Disneyland of Cider mills when you compare it to smaller Cider mills like Yates for example. The first thing you'll notice your is what seems like a just crowds of people everywhere. I'm sure when they first open for the day it's not so crowded but give it a little tons of people will show up. There's so many things you can do here from Apple, pumpkin and cherry picking. They're are small rides for kids, beer tasting rooms, shops with lots to buy like clothing, wine, cider and donuts and many many more. It can almost seem overwhelming! think overall it's always great to visit whenever you get the chance!

Yelp
Blake's orchard This place was like an amusement park for the kids. Animals, rides, food, etc. Wow. Bar and food for the adults. Wow. Unlike, Spicer, this place has buildings for their business. i.e. building for a bar, etc. Spicer just has food trucks. Plus, the business are open all year round, not just during summer and fall season. You really need to see this place to enjoy it. They have many rides and things for kids to play with. Bring money, you will need it. Enjoy a train ride or pick apples yourself. Sunflowers! Tomatoes! Pumpkins! Lots of parking space and lots of room. You don't feel crowded. There was about 100-200 cars out today. Nice numbers. Come here if you are on the Central side of Detroit. Highly recommended
google avatar

Yelp
We got ripped off. We used our own bag and were told 62 apples is a full bag for $34.95. Upon check out, the employee says that it looks like 2 half bags for $50. I said, we called and spoke with an employee in the store and 62 apples is supposed to be $34.95. we have 62 apples. Then she weighed them at $1.99/pound at it was $41. I started counting the apples and took 12 apples out when she said leave those out and it will be $34.95 Sure glad I didn't pay $50. I am now sorry I paid $34.95 because I was over charged. I won't be back again.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a really nice experience as long as you get there early enough! The past few times we've been here, it's gotten significantly better as they continue to add more things and emphasis/add onto their other locations nearby. The taproom has great food and ciders to choose from, and they have some outdoor food places as well accompanied by their ciders of course. The things to do are sectioned off to make sure that the kids have their activities to do and the adults have their activities to do. Live music on most days really adds to the enjoyment of the day outside in the courtyard area. A recent addition, which is really nice, is that they have an outdoor area to buy donuts, cider and other items to take home, rather than packing inside the building where they make the cider and donuts and waiting in an incredibly long line. The express line was a great addition!
google avatar

Caroline B.

Yelp
Great place all year round. Strawberry picking in the spring/summer, apples in the fall, lavender festival, and they even have a hall you can rent for events. Its a great orchard. Definitely recommend it.

Theresa D.

Yelp
went to Dino Days at Blake's, what a disappointment. it seems like it's all about how much money they can make off of parents trying to give the kids a day out. Parents are charged for entry as well as the children, we were in the second session and the Dino giveaway was gone after the first session. Each child collected 10 eggs to turn in for prices and they were the cheapest smallest little things that most children should not even have. if you wanted to do bounce house and petting farm it was an additional charge for children and the parents had to pay again, we already paid $80 to do the Dino Days. Who has $300 or more to do a day at the cider mill after you purchase donuts and cider. very sad
google avatar

Steve F.

Yelp
My grandpa brought me here years ago and now i take my kids. Ive always had a great time here. Love the donuts and apples. Cider has got to be one of the best ive had. My issue is the cost, its just insane. Also always a huge line and long wait. We tend to go early and its not as bad but i feel like they could add on and take care of alot of it.

Jerome C.

Yelp
Took our 4-Adult kids and 3-grandkids, we started inside Blake's ordered cookies, donuts, cider & coffee, Karri's was at the register, very helpful & patient. We then moved to the inside play park & animal feeding and also trampoline. Th young lady at register was "Piper" we also needed 6- cups to feed animals. The last adventure included today was the train ride, Tony, the train engineer was great, help make fide fun!!! We will definitely return, everyone had a great time. The young college student at register was very helpful upon our arrival & departure.

Yelp
This is the BEST cider mill perhaps anywhere!! The cider and donuts are great but all the other stuff you can do is incredible!! Hayrides, cornfield maze, petting zoo. So much stuff for the kids, and adults to do. The cider mill closest to us is just a barn and parking lot, Blake's is truly worth the drive!!!

Jana P.

Yelp
We looked at website and it said everything was open, but get her and they charged $12.95 each to go in and nothing is open for the kids. Only thing that is open is the store. What a rip off.
google avatar

Lissa B.

Yelp
Stopped here to pick up fresh cider and donuts. They are amazing. I loved the donuts and still dreaming of them. My favorite was the cinnamon sugar donuts. They are perfect washed down with the apple cider. We also got some pear cider with alcohol that was also great. There is a shop with farm products and clothing, restaurant, and children activities. Highly recommended for the donuts and cider!

Erica L.

Yelp
I've been visiting this cider mill at least twice a year for almost a decade, and it's always a highlight. The atmosphere is charming, and the cider is consistently delicious. It's a place that never disappoints, and I look forward to each visit. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great cider and a cozy experience!!

Yelp
Drove over an hour to go on the Farm Fresh Tour with a friend, which began with a "train ride" through the property. We made several stops to learn more about the history of Blake's along with the crops that are grown there. We then had the chance to pick a peck of vegetables to take home with us (what you pick changes with the tour) and returned to the Cafe for a lovely meal that included a Grilled Caprese Sandwich, Cherry BBQ Wings, Beet Salad - yum!, Cucumber Salad, Cherry Crisp and a delicious Blake's Hard Cider. Mine was Peach Blackberry. The Farm Manager, Brent, gave us the tour and made sure we got lots of interesting information and had an excellent experience. My friend and I then went into the store and picked up numerous items to take home, including the pickled beets from the salad, fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh juice and cider, and yummy baked goods. The store was clean and the service was friendly and fast. If you get the chance, I highly recommend the Farm Fresh Tour!

Steve T.

Yelp
Bought a peach pie from here. Had green mold the next day. The apple, cherry, berry pie was dry and the crust was old. Not only is their stuff expensive. But the quality is piss poor at best
google avatar

Nand Kishore G.

Yelp
The place is good but costly. Cider and Donuts are pricey! We visited the sunflower festival this past weekend. Crowded but the traffic was well coordinated and controlled.
google avatar

Sierra B.

Yelp
Spent some time at Blake's picking berries on a hot summer day. Most of the crops were already picked over but we still got some cherries and strawberries even though they were out of season. We dined in at the restaurant on-site. I got the summer flight and a hamburger with fries, which was all really good. I could not finish the flight, the shots are big so I tasted each one and finish 3 of the ones I liked the best. They always have different events going on so I'm definitely coming back. It was my 1st time here and I really enjoyed myself.

Fiore T.

Yelp
One of our favorite spots. Fun food menu and great drinks. Service is very good A good place to get away and relax.

Yelp
From the employees to the cider & donuts, vegetables, fruit, jams, bbq sauces & more. This is a family friendly place for all to experience. For over 45 years I've been coming here & I always leave satisfied. My wife, daughter & I spent time here today for a couple hours on my day off. The drive is always worth the experience. Make sure you pay a visit & look on their website. They are always doing something; especially for the weekends.
google avatar

Leonard J.

Yelp
Great experience. Good food, music was good service was great. The restaurant was laid back. Funland was mainly for children and young kiddos. The train and hayride was worth the ticket price. Cider and donuts were good. The only negative thing is people kept eating apples and leaving them everywhere at the U-pick orchard and it could've been dangerous if someone was to run and then unexpectedly roll their ankle on one. I just ask if you pick an apple, eat it after you leave, don't eat it and then throw it on the ground. It was a great experience for our first time at Blakes cider mill. We will be back for Halloween and thanksgiving week.

Blakes has so much to offer. This was a fun stop, we picked up some fresh veggies and fruit. Stopped in the store and got a couple of six packs one blueberry lemonade and one caramel apple, can't wait to crack those cuz those sound good. Also picked up some donuts coffee some jam, a great looking crumb cake, they have so much to offer, so many things I had to get out of there, I wanted to buy everything. Also we stoped in those little restaurant and sat at the bar and l got donut Stout, tasty. This was a pretty fun stop if you're swinging through Blake's has a ton to offer, definitely check it out.

Yelp
I have been coming to Blake's my entire life. Cider Mills are a fall time favorite for anyone that lives in this area. When I was a child we would come here and buy our pumpkins and get cider and donuts. This was something we did every single October. As an adult, I always did the same and when I had my son I carried on with that tradition. The great thing about Blake's is that it is very family friendly with tons of stuff to do! For the kids you can go and for a small cost per the animals, go through corn mazes, see the animatronics, eat a caramel apple and pick out pumpkins. You can pick your own apples. As a family they have stores and sell pies etc. The teenagers can visit the haunted barn around Halloween. But here is what makes Blake's stick out above the others. There are a ton of cider Mills in my area. I can go right down the road and get some apples or Cider. A lot of these are really nice. But they remained something to do in the fall. Not a lot to do year round. Blake's has taken care of this issue. In the winter you can come and pick out Christmas trees. In the summer though... They have made an area that seems more like an adult playground! With wonderful ciders and adult slushes and delicious food. There is live music and tons of outdoor seating. They have fire pits you can sit around and enjoy the company you are with. They even have a cafeteria type area to grab a quick bite if you don't want to eat in the nicer restaurant. There is a separate tap room as well. They have a giant tent that the keep set up for overflow. And.... Coming soon... They are putting in a BREWERY!!! YAY!!! So excited for this! Blake's also has a good share of festivities to keep people coming. This weekend was the lavender festival. You can go out into the fields and be surrounded by the beauty. Tons of art tents set up as well. Today was a soggy mess, unfortunately. Like the rain just would not stop. Mud everywhere. We made the best of it. But it was definitely a bummer. This has become a favorite spot for us so we are really enjoying all that Blake's has to offer. We will be back over and over again. Oh! Tuesday nights is trivia night too! If you haven't been, or it's been a while, you definitely want to come and check it out! You won't be sorry!

Yelp
*not rating the location just the drinks* would overall recommend this brand of hard cider. taste and alc percentage are good. flavorful and preferred over angry orchards.

Yelp
The flies were so bad inside the tasting room! the charcuterie board was so small and unimpressive for 18$!!! the noise level was so bad you can't hear the person across the table. It's a large open room and it echoes. I've been a customer for 15 plus years. I've never had a complaint other than how expensive it continues to get each year. Today was so disappointing . it's a farm, there are flies..I get it, but this was bad and there are remedies to cut down on the amount. I'm not talking gross fly strips but a small machine that attracts the flies and locks them in can be found on Amazon. If Blakes wants to charge up scale prices.. they need to deliver upscale. I'm so disappointed

Yelp
I've been going to Blake's Orchard & Cider Mill for my entire life. It was always the choice of my family for apple picking season and fall activities when I was a child, and now I continue the tradition with my own little family. I have been to many events at Blake's, and every time I have enjoyed myself. They keep their facilities and restaurants clean, there are seating and delicious food options around every corner at the entrance area, a large outdoor play area for kids (separate fee), and crops of many varieties (fuji or gala apples and the lavender being my favorites). Most recently we visited with friends for the North South West party. We arrived early since we had young children, parking was simple and easy, they also have a lot of overflow parking if they ever need it. The event was very affordable and ticket cost included drink/s plus a glass. There were 3 separate tents, foods of all kind, great drink variety, ice carvings, ice skating (it's the synthetic ice though), limbo contests, bull riding, tons of activities. They also do a great job at keeping the tents warm and cozy, plus the staff is friendly and helpful. We genuinely always have a great time at Blake's, whether it be winter, spring, summer or fall.

Yelp
Drove 50mins for Blake's 2nd Sunflower Fest. We went last year and it was beautiful so we thought it would be the same this year but we were soooo wrong! 2 fields of pathetic sunflowers! As you can see from the attached photos the 1st field was extremely under watered and the 2nd wouldn't be ripe and open for another week. It was truly a joke friends! Wouldn't have posted but people paid for that garbage and money is tight for everyone right now. If Blake's would have stopped counting their CASH money for a few mins maybe they would have thought we should only charge half price or NOT AT ALL this year. Gouging the public for a pathetic spectacle like that won't be good for business! Not mine anyways. By the way their apple butter is the worst I've ever had. Sure am gonna miss Irwins which is 5mins down the road.

Yelp
Meh at best. $12 per person for play area (inc little kids - so $24 min). Lots of extras. Min of $20 for uPick Restaurant was slow and food was overdone (burger marked rare was really well done). Won't be back. Maybe ok for whole day experience if you into this but this absolutely sucks for quick 1-2 hour trip with kids to pick something

Yelp
Hot cider is not piping hot, lukewarm at best. They're dark roast coffee is just OK. I can't believe a dinky little plane donut is $1.25 here, it was cold and a total rip off. The best thing here are their apple fritters, which was also cold, but still tasted really good and was filled with Apple in the very center of it. They are gluten-free cinnamon donuts, which is the only one they have, comes in a two pack. It is OK, not the best. Made of brown rice flour. This Place is clearly and definitely commercialized. It doesn't feel warm and comfy, like apple orchard show. It feels like a big box store. I would only come back for the Apple fritter, but it's a long drive two absolutely nowhere for an apple fritter, will be a once in a while event. It definitely isn't worth the money for what you get. It's very average donuts and cider, But high prices for sure. The total bill was $11.32 for a single small dinky plain doughnut for $1.25, their apple fritter is $1.79, small apple cider is $2.50 and a 16 ounce cup of coffee is $2.50, seems steep for what you get and everything except for the Apple fritter wasn't worthworth the money. Would definitely come back to get the Apple fritter only.

Yelp
Fun place for adults, I don't have a kid but I imagine they would like it. If you want to eat at the tasting room, you'll need to make a reservation far in advance, especially for the weekends. We had a reservation but the wait time was 2+ hours around noon. The hard cider is 10/10 and the apple cider donuts are fab.
