This is a good option for a quick pizza that you can customize. Service and atmosphere were lacking, there were multiple tables with dried sauces caked on the tables and seats, we had to walk around looking for a clean spot. Pizza was decent, we like the customization option to include a lot of toppings for a base price.

Google
The pizza was a hot mess! The toppings were not portioned out evenly so their were clumps of toppings bunched up. The woman at the register tried to charge me for a drink that was already included in my lunch special. I had to run around trying to find utensils because nobody told me where to find them and they were not clearly visible.

We’ve been regular customers at this pizza place and usually love coming here. Unfortunately, this time was different and quite disappointing. I ordered a pizza with three toppings that I paid for, including bacon—which I always enjoy. I politely asked for just a little extra bacon, as I’ve done before without any issues. However, the woman preparing the pizza was clearly unhappy and acted very begrudgingly. She barely added any extra bacon—literally picked up a few tiny pieces and dropped them on like it was a big favor. Her attitude was unwelcoming and made the whole experience uncomfortable. It felt like she didn’t want to be there, and her negative energy really showed. We come here often, but this was the first time we walked away unhappy. It’s disappointing to feel like you’re being treated unfairly over something you paid for. I hope management takes this seriously , customers shouldn’t be made to feel guilty or uncomfortable for asking for what they’re entitled to.

I came to the mall, and after walking around, i was hungry. I decided to try this pizza place out. Boy, was i disappointed. Pizza is really thin, sauce not too good, and I never heard anyone call out my name. Tables were dirty, I definitely won't be going back there, and I don't recommend it to anyone.

Google
I have never once left a review at a restaurant, but wow I was blown away. I ordered a pepperoni pizza gluten free with hot honey. 🍯 the people were so kind and super fast service. I will definitely be coming back. The salad was lacking but no matter the pizza stole the show.

Google
Worst pizza I've ever had. Great place to go if you want to pay $20 for thin bread with ranch. Person making my pizza hardly put any sauce or cheese on it. Don't go here.

Google
Alright pizza. I love the under caradge which had a nice charcoal flavor. It had a nice bite but the toppings and crust were not it. Good service but my server was flirting with one of his co workers instead of making my pizza. Not mad, I respect it, but it was not super busy and I was the only one waiting for pizza. I thought the topings were nice. Idk not the best but not the worst.

Google
This is my favorite pizza chain store. They have variety of toppings to choose from. Friendly staff here as well. This is the spot for quick eat with variety of nutrition selection. They restrooms are not usually clean which needs some improvements. Overall it’s a great spot.

Yelp
fun place to go. Nice menu selection and had gluten free check it out. Kids had a group go there and they had fun

Yelp
Best Blaze Pizza in San Francisco. The customer service is well, they are quick to take orders and the pizzas are made neatly. My favorite place to go for pizza. The Manager bella does an excellent job at managing.

Yelp
Theyre awesome especially The worker called Laura she made my pizza exquisite and it was so tasty. Good customer service and workers are chill.

Yelp
amazing pizza, freshly baked awesome!!! Staff is really nice and helpful very attentive Place was really clean and friendly

Yelp
Always have loved this place. We arrived at 8pm, and that night shift was naughty. They attention and dismissal of the customers was tasted in this pizza. As the workers laughed and joked to themselves, myself and 4 others waited in line. Still got love for this place. All love

Yelp
I set aside time on 03/14 to buy an 11 inch pizza for $3.14 on #PiDay. As expected, the waiting line was a mile long. Taking 3 hours total to place an order and be served. Was all in all, quite worth it. I wanted to acknowledge the staff members who didn't have the easiest shifts to get through. The day was likely a major chore to endure. They each managed to keep their cool, even if doing so was a struggle. Must have been tricky to navigate, without cracking or buckling under pressure. The supervisor, Bella was as cool as a cucumber, and a skillful leader. Tactfully, keeping things in order. Another staff member, Skyla was ultra friendly. Lovely! I understand that maintaining a positive/pleasant attitude on that day was daunting. Not without many challenges overall. I appreciate the hard work of the entire crew. I don't take energy and effort for granted at all. Thank you for all the things!!

Yelp
I got my high rise, build your own pizza - to go. When I got home the crust was a bit doughy still & I had to put it in the airfryer to feel that it was fully cooked. About $20 for a build your own with high rise dough with unlimited toppings. Honestly in my opinion Mod Pizza in the Serramonte Center in South SF/Daly City is better & had a few more toppings to choose from. Stonestown is one of the busiest malls in the SF area so Blaze was super busy. Not super great service but what else can you expect from an assembly line trying to push out as many pizzas as possible as the line continues to grow.
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Pizza size was perfect for two people. I love that you can put unlimited topping choices for one price instead of having to pay for each topping. I may try one of the specialty pizzas next time. The service was great. Nice little seating area in the mall, not in the food court.
google avatar

Anna N.

Yelp
Shared a Build-Your-Own-Pizza with my boyfriend. We get all the meat toppings and almost all of the veggie toppings. I also love to top it off with a ranch drizzle. So good and delicious!

Yelp
I've been a regular at Blaze Pizza in Stonestown for years, and they never disappoint. Their dedication to crafting delicious, high-quality pizzas and providing exceptional service is truly commendable. Every visit is a delightful experience. Thank you, Blaze Pizza, for your consistent excellence in San Francisco!

Yelp
Sunday night around 6pm (Jun 2nd) I tried to order a BBQ chicken as I usually do. This time this young black lady (pictured below) just ignored me and passed me to attend to a person behind me. She lied to the order taker and to me afterwards claiming the pizza was already made when obviously it wasn't. I walked to the register confused and then realized the order sheet was taken to cashier without her or anyone else bothering to assemble it. I was expected to pay for a pizza that didn't yet exist. The manager Isabella D. made things right when I just when back to the front of the line to reorder with my table number in hand. Yet I felt I was unfairly discriminated against by the employee pictured. This employee should be fired. I figure that Yelpers should know about my experience. This might happen to you if you go to Blaze Pizza at Stonestown.

Yelp
I always liked this place, maybe more now than I did when I was an SFSU student. I feel like their pizzas taste better now than back then when my student org did fundraisers with Blaze. However many years ago that was. I don't remember, I have the dementia. Service can be slow sometimes depending on how big the group you're unfortunate enough to have in front of you is and how long they take to figure out what toppings they want on their pizza. But that's more of an indictment on the noobs that I guess have never seen pizza toppings before than the staff. If you have no dietary restrictions, just do what I do and order a build your own with everything on it. It costs the same as if you just put sauce and cheese anyway and doesn't involve any thinking.
google avatar

Helen L.

Yelp
Once in a while, stopping in to get build-your-own pizza. Get the toppings you want. That's the fun part. There are so many toppings to choose from. I noticed i didn't see any bacon bits. White sauce or regular sauce. I love they have calorie count with each kabel. My server was super patient. You have to make quick decisions since there's always a line. Line does go fast because you are definitely competing with online orders. Everything is fresh. I love to add arugula at the end. Garlic whole and chopped, please. Very thin pizza crust. Gets soggy with too many toppings. So good piping hot from their fire oven. Great friendly servers.

Matao J.

Yelp
Blaze is always the top restaurant I go to when I am at stonestown. The wait can be long sometimes but it is always worth it. After my pizza is made it is cooked quickly in the oven. You can request to make it well done like I always do, and the oven person always knows how to do it perfectly. The food always taste fresh and good, always leaving my stomach feel perfectly full. The workers are all friendly and help with anyquestions. I've been trying out each of the sauces and they are all amazing so try them out. Overall great establishment, and I recommend anyone at the mall craving pizza to go check it out!

Yelp
I'm usually not a fan of the "build-your-own" pizza concept, having had pretty average experiences with the chain Pieology. My friend was craving pizza and suggested Blaze so I begrudgingly obliged. At a glance, it's not too different from your lineup of assembly line pizza. I'm not too sure what I like about the dough, though, but I like it. This is coming from a guy that finds flaws in everything. Other crusts include high-rise, keto, cauli, and gluten free if you'd like. For the toppings, there's no issue with variety. Skip the red and white sauces. Garlic pesto and ovalini. Thank me later. The staff is usually cool enough to squeeze a decent tip out of me and the colors in the restaurant make me feel warm. The most exciting part is to see the creative ways my name is spelled every time for the order despite me spelling it out. Jokes aside, it's a good thing they named it Blaze because it's fire. I'd happily visit one or more times per week.

Yelp
I usually keep expectations low when looking for a decent meal in a shopping center. Gotta say, Blaze Pizza delivered, & they deliver too. (Sorry). Anyway, I didn't know they were a chain, having discovered their Palm Springs restaurant during a vacation. That place is totally different, minimal seating, 95% take-out biz. Stonestown location is prime, just inside the entrance doors on the ground floor. Can't miss it. Large dining area. Same drill. You stand in line & tell your personal pizza maker which ingredients you want from the impressive assortment of fresh veggies & meats. Nothing premade here. Even the dough is waiting to be pulled into shape. Good to know you can order a half pie. Dine in, take out. No regrets.
google avatar

Thien H.

Yelp
The crust doesn't have much flavor and I guess it was my fault that I chose toppings that made the crust soggy. Wish I would have asked them to cook it longer. The second pizza was better because there were less vegetables. I'd rather go with a local pizza place honestly. The novelty of choosing your toppings like at Chipotle is fun though.
google avatar

Yelp
Blaze is a pretty good joint for personal sized pizzas. Sharing one was more than enough for my sister and I. I especially like the build-your-own factor to it, so you can load it with whatever you want. We usually like adding a bunch of vegetables and meat, so its worth the ~$13 you're paying; it's also tastier! The mozzarella cheese globs are also a good choice on top of regular shredded cheese. We usually get the basic tomato sauce for the base and drizzle pesto on top at the end. It does get super oily at the end, and it makes me feel pretty gross lol, but it's still a place I'd go to for a build-your-own pizza.
google avatar

Yelp
My meat pizza was good but the bbq chicken pizza was below average. They don't have iced tea and service is slow. Probably won't go back

Yelp
It was an interesting experience coming back for the first time since the pandemic. I can't say it was a pleasant one, unfortunately. I have always been a fan of Blaze Pizza, but I can see how much this location has declined since they opened in 2015. I came here to pick up something for dinner around 8pm. the place had a few patrons dining inside and no one in line except for a customer already paying at the register. As I waited for someone to take my order, I was eventually greeted by a young lady who did not look like she wanted to be there. I ordered a build your own with original dough, nothing fancy. However, for some reason it took about 3 employees to make the crust on the machine press because the dough kept ripping. I also noticed that most of the employees were just milling around and texting on their phones with gloves on (then preceded to touch the food on the line). some were even sitting on the counter chatting with their coworkers. Did they even have a supervisor or manager on duty? were they hiding in the office in the back? As I was paying at the register, I noticed that they did not serve alcoholic beverages anymore. I expressed my surprise since this was my first time back in-person since the shutdown. One of the employees commented, "yeah it's probably not a good idea to serve alcohol with a bunch of underaged kids working here". MAM, when I tell you that MY JAW DROPPED! Maybe I will stick with ordering my pizza on the app. I really like Blaze Pizza, but they need to review the improper handling of food by their employees and possibly staffing a supervisor on the floor at all times.

Vera K.

Yelp
Loved the new signature pizzas. Staffs were very friendly. They took their time explaining the process to my 100 years old grandmother. She was thrilled to be able to create her own pizza. Thank you team Blaze.

Yelp
If you're looking for a custom pizza place with a wide variety of toppings - this is it! Decent pizza for the price. The place is casual pizza place - eat there or taking to go. Service is fast

Yelp
I usually don't have high expectations for Pizza chains like Blaze Pizza, but this location is flat out bad. From the inefficiency to poor customer service, I don't think I'd come back to the Stonestown location again personally. My family ordered one order of Cheesy Bread, but the cashier made a mistake and added the Pesto Garlic Cheesy Bread which meant an extra $5.95. Overall they seemed very disorganized. The biggest issue is that the order of two cheesy garlic breads, a Meat Eater pizza, and a salad took an hour long wait which is incredibly long in comparison to most pizza places. Then on top of that the customer service was rude and the staff member would state in a rude and impatient tone that we need to just wait for our number to be called even though many customers that ordered after us got their orders. Then shockingly it turns out that they completely forgot about the pizza and the salad and had to start making it even though it has already been over half an hour. They even got numerous customer's orders wrong. Yikes. Of course your food becomes more unenjoyable when you dealt with bad customer service, but both cheesy breads were sad and flavorless while also being greasy. The Meat Eater Pizza had the thinnest crust and I am not a huge fan of their tomato sauce. The salad was decent, but nothing special. There are definitely better pizza options out there and I'd rather support local pizza chains instead personally. I think I'm gonna stay away from Blaze Pizza in the future because this experience was not great overall.

Yelp
One of Stonestown's wonders. Enjoyed it with my mango go go from Jamba Juice with the bbq chicken pizza. Order pizza, time depends on the line but moves fast. Then go get whatever drink you want in the mall. Pizza should be ready by then. Inside do looks dark and can get crowded. Go outside patio if possible.

Yelp
Amazingly inexpensive with no limit to the toppings. Non-dairy options are great! Their super-hot oven cranks out a pie quicker than any other pizza places I've ever visited. It's an absolute delight to eat here. I only wish there were one closer to home.
google avatar

Rose Y.

Yelp
Came here and try their Hawaiian pizza($8.99) because i am a big fan of pineapple pizza!! Their Hawaiian pizza only includes red sauce, cheese, ham and pineapple. I asked for BBQ sauce at the end. It was so crispy when it comes out and delicious! Love it!!
google avatar

Karlee J.

Yelp
Blaze is a family favorite! We love the build your own option with so many toppings. This location is great in the stone town mall. Also the lemonades are delicious.

Yelp
Place had great food and the pizza was cooked to perfection. Staff was amazing 10/10 would go again

Yelp
I recently visited Blaze Pizza in Stonestown and had a similar experience to other reviews. Pizza was still just as good but service and cleanliness was very mediocre. I have to express my disappointment with the state of the bathrooms. Frankly, the restrooms were horrendous. The lack of cleanliness and maintenance was quite noticeable - paper towels and toilet paper literally everywhere. It felt so trashed and uncared for. What's worse was that I saw numerous employees in and out of the bathrooms and no one bothered to clean it. This is something that management should address promptly to maintain customer satisfaction. Blaze Pizza is a great spot for a quick meal, but avoid the bathrooms! Use the mall's food court bathrooms instead.

Yelp
So sad about my experience here. If you know me, you know I LOVE blazed pizza. Genuinely, I think it would be my last meal if I got the choice. However, my experience here was so disappointing. I've been here twice and the experience has gotten progressively worse. I went last night for dinner and while we literally got there with no line, we had to wait for about 10 to-go orders to go through before they even took ours. On top of that, I felt extremely rushed through the process and the customer service (besides the guy at the cashier who was super nice) was extremely subpar. They took my pizza out of the oven and it waited on the side (uncut) for 7 minutes while they took out the to-go pizzas and cut those and put those in boxes. Like what???? I'm already here in person... like why have my pizza get cold right in front of my eyes? It literally felt refrigerated when I finally got to eating it. Also, at other blaze's, when your pizza comes out they call you over to see what toppings you want after it cooks. The lady just boxed ours up without calling our names and we had to ask her to put additional drizzles on it. Finally, while I was waiting for the pizza, i went to the bathroom and the urinal was clogged and overflowed onto the floor with urine and there were literal poop stains on the floor near the toilet. There was also no toilet paper in the restroom. On top of this, the person who used the restroom before me was an employee... you think that they would clean it or warn me not to go in beforehand??? Honestly so disappointed in my experience here. I love blaze but my boyfriend and I both agreed that we can't come back to this location after this horrible experience. I give it 2 stars because the pizza itself was really tasty (but of course it was, I chose the ingredients on it LOL)
google avatar

Urmi M.

Yelp
Whenever I come to the mall for some shopping I also make an obligatory blaze pizza stop to satisfy my craving. This place always has a very long line and it looks like other people have the same idea, but it does move fairly quickly at most i've waited maybe 20 minutes. I always do a build your own and I appreciate that they are liberal but the toppings have a wide variety to choose from. I tried the pesto cheesy bread which was delicious!
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
I like Blaze..thin crust pizza. It's fast. It's fresh! I typically get the meat lovers special and switch the meatballs for the sausage. I always ask for the person making the pizza to drizzle some of their pesto sauce...gives it a nice garlicky kick. They throw it into the very hot fire pit oven and it's totally cooked in about 5 mins. Top off the pizza with some crushed red peppers and it's killer! It's not NYC thin crust but it hits the spot and better than some of the $30+ dollar pizzas in SF.
google avatar

Yelp
Decided to come back Post Covid after not visiting throughout Covid. Bad decision unfortunately. Waited for 30 min, which is long, asked about it, was told it would be done soon. Heard the workers whispering and then my pizza was done. But it was clearly NOT my pizza. It was the cold pizza that no one had picked up during 30 minutes I've been standing around. I would've waited for them to just remake my pizza rather than get a pizza that's cold and not what I wanted. I was too hangry so I didn't notice until I got home. Just be wary and make sure to check your order. This has happened to my friends who have come here before too, but they would just remake it. Lame. Wasted my $15 on a shoddy cold pizza.

Dana V.

Yelp
waited about 4-5hrs in line on pi day and when it was finally our turn they closed the door in front of our face almost an hour before closing time. manager or whoever was telling us to leave was RUDE. unnecessarily called security on my group and the rest of us that were peacefully waiting. we weren't causing any trouble. manager lied saying if we were still standing outside & the line inside gets shorter they'd serve us. i say this is extremely poor customer service. all that wait without any type of compensation. 0/10 dont EVER go to this place. their pizza is trash anyways.
google avatar

Leilo L.

Yelp
barely got any broccoli and sauce but the pizza was still decent. the place is nice and the service was okay
google avatar

Maryam B.

Yelp
I ordered a 2 top pizza ( red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, smoked ham). It was terrible. The girl who made my pizza , put a little bit of mozzarella on my pizza . Not even full spoon ( their own spoon ) . I will not go there again . The employee are nice though.
google avatar

Yelp
Crazy long lines on 3.14. Who can resist the $3.14 pie day. Such a great gimmick to get everyone out. The long lines did not affect the quality nor the friendly staff. Luv this place!!!

Yelp
Blaze Pizza was founded in 2011 by Elise and Rick Wetzel of Wetzel's Pretzels in Pasadena, California. It goes by a made-to-order approach to serving customers. Pizza are "Fast Fire'd" in a open-flame oven with an average cook time of three minutes. Basketball player LeBron James is one of the original investors in the chain. This place is located in the front entrance of Stonestown Mall in San Francisco. Inside is loud and busy as it sits at a corner of a mall entrance. Some staff seemed friendly while some seemed disgruntled. There are seating arrangements inside and outside. As for cleanliness, you get what you come for, as in, know that this is a fast-paced restaurant with a lot of customers and foot traffic. It felt awkward to sit inside and eat as the environment was chaotic and busy. The staff seemed confused when I asked them to clarify what are the vegan crust and sauce options. Initially, the person who took me at the first segment order pane turned me down quickly and said nothing was vegan. I had to quickly ask Google for the right answers and then I asked again to check for me. They went to the extent of asking the manager, I think, or some older worker, to check, and then made a big fuss and all to get the ingredient list of some sort to make sure. I hope my encounter taught them to know this part of their job. They use vegan cheese (Daiya) if you opt for it. The original crust and red sauce base are already vegan. I wanted to customize my pizza and asked for jalapeño, green pepper, red pepper, olive, mushroom, and pineapple (yes, pineapple goes on pizza). I also asked for dollops of red sauce and more cheese. The pizza was great quality and wallet friendly.

Yelp
First of all I ordered the cauliflower crust but they instead made it with regular order however they were able to fix it. The service is amazing and plus it's good to place for a late night dinner, snack, or after watching a movie. It's really a cool vibe definitely coming back next time. I love pesto on a pizza it was nice new and really good light on the calories.
google avatar

Yelp
Cheese sticks & build your own pizza both tasted below average. The cheese flavor did not stand out and the toppings we added did not taste fresh. The toppings also were huge chunks and the veggies (broccoli and spinach) were burnt. Customer service: they got our build your own pizza wrong... they put a cheese pizza on it and called out our name multiple times until 20 minutes later we saw our pizza sitting below... the cashier just dumped the pizza into the trash to cover up their mistake while putting the current on the tray. Rude and poor overall experience. ‍

Yelp
This place's changed to better compare 2 years before, 5 star to new management Pizzas are so good they don't burn anymore
google avatar

Jay K.

Yelp
Grumpy middle school kids working here providing horrible service - acting like dead zombies - not adding toppings just two grams of anything you say you want it on. Not sure why they behaving in such unprofessional and ridiculous manner.

Patra K.

Yelp
I guess they changed the red sauce recipe. Because last time I ordered it, about a week ago the sauce had no flavor, even though they gave me extra sauce. I didn't taste any type of flavor at all and the spicy one is too hot for me. Not worth it and not going back.
google avatar

Linda L.

Yelp
Ughhhhh My friends wanted to come here... Line was pretty quick, the staffs all had gloves on but no hair net ... eeeeehhhh The pizza was pretty tasty. Nothing like DAAAMMNNNN my tastebuds are going crazy!!! It was hard to find a table, and when 2 cleared up, we took one. The group that left (3 of them), left it dirty with crumbs, soda drippings and the straw papers. They were not little kids mind you. We asked a staff if they can wipe it down for us, room around 5 minutes to do so. Got our pizza around 18 minutes. I only ate one slice, I don't care for it. I didn't really enjoy myself. It's loud in there. Not fun loud, just loud. Not even drunk loud, just a lot of people being obnoxious.
google avatar

Jaime N.

Yelp
I had the green stripe pizza. The think crust was okay and the arugula wasn't bitter. Overall I would compare this place as the McDonalds of pizza. I prefer pielogy.

Yelp
We decided to give Blaze a try after several years. Wife brought the pizza home and it was soggy so I decided to warm it up in the air-fryer. Upon taking a closer look, I noticed a black hair, sticking straight up and out of the cheese. It took a little force to pull it out, it was set in the cheese after it had hardened. Don't think the hair could have survived the oven so it obviously fell in there while the pizza was removed from the oven and placed in the box. Needless to say, this was a total turn-off and totally ruined the moment. Blaze, not cool, you have to be more careful when you're in the food business, hair in pizza is totally gross!

Angelina C.

Yelp
The pizza was terrible. Not cooked long enough. I bit into it and the toppings were ice cold. Took it back and they put it back in the oven then they burned it. I told them I couldn't eat it, they offered to make me another one. I had paid for the high rise crust, and for whatever reason they wouldn't give it to me again. They probably knew it would burn. They need to clean the oven out and rotate the pizzas more so they don't burn! I said you need to refund me for the high rise crust. The woman helping me was nice and tried to make things better, although it was weird she was refusing to give me the high rise crust without really saying why. She made sure I received the refund for the crust. Although after all that trouble you would think they would offer more for all the inconveniences and waiting! And not giving me what I wanted. I don't like thin crust pizza! My friend and I were hoping to have a nice lunch together, she was done eating before mine came out again! It was disappointing to say the least!
google avatar

Elaine T.

Yelp
I like all the options they offer to put on the pizza, but unfortunately, they no longer offer goat cheese. Sad. :(
google avatar

Paria A.

Yelp
This place is always busy! It does offer the best "build your own" pizza experience with a very wide variety of ingredients and options. Starting with the crust, they have original thin, thicker high rise, gluten free, cauliflower, and keto. The cauliflower and keto are also both GF. There are a lot of sauce options -- I'm a classic red girl so I always stick to that. One of my favorite things about Blaze is the cheese options. I so prefer the fresh mozzarella and ricotta -- so delicious! It's also a nice change. I'm not a vegetarian but with their veggie options, I often create a vegetarian pizza. Some of my favorite unique topping items include the artichoke hearts, fresh basil and kalamata olives. Blaze is a great option when you're looking for a quick, affordable meal. It's a perfect place for a group, especially with all the options and customization for different allergies and dietary restrictions. Also, the pizzas are a generous size and I always end up with leftovers.

Yelp
Everyone looks busy but no one knows what they are doing. I hate coming to this location because something is guaranteed to go wrong but my kid keeps picking this place.
