Blend Astoria

When I say Blends was a vibe. It truly was an amazing experience. My brother discovered it while searching for a fantastic spot for us to dine. Upon arrival, we immediately began taking photos because the venue features specific areas designed for photography. It had an intriguing design and atmosphere, reminiscent of a club. The food was incredibly enticing on our first visit, and I promise, it did not disappoint. This place was absolutely delectable. I would definitely return for a gathering with friends or a birthday celebration. It was really great!

The steak is delicious! 😋 They have Rose 🍷 as a daiquiri. My husband and friend love them. So refreshing on a hot day. Service is great, and they don't rush you out. 18% Gratuity is included in your bill, any party size.

This happens to be my favorite place, I always come here & I also have done big gathering as well the accommodation they do is amazing they go above and beyond. The staff here are all super dope. I also enjoy the atmosphere cause it’s perfect not too loud but enough to enjoy the music and conversation within the tables. My forever go to server is Savanna she is absolutely amazing I always ask for her services she is always so sweet and humble overall I always tell people to come check it out they will not be disappointed I do recommend reservations but even if your a walk in it’s still great😉😉 A+++++

Had a marvelous lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The bartender Juanita was so sweet and hospitable. Her margarita was delicious and strong, the perfect combination. One of my favorite places to eat!

Great Food, service and atmosphere. The churrasco is amazing! Definitely a must order if you come here. Their mojitos and Margaritas are also delicious.

Savannah was an amazing server who treated us with kindness & respect. The tacos and drinks came out super quick and she had such a positive energy! I would 100% recommend blend Astoria, it will definitely be worth your wait or make a reservation!

We LOVE going here. As an Astoria native, this is the neighborhood spot. Our server Savannah is the absolute BEST- she is on top of everything. She remembers everyone’s drink orders and anticipates when we need more food.

The hostess and waitress were super friendly and sat us outside where we could enjoy the music and hear each other talking. She recommended we would go enjoy her favorite appetizers and they were on point - chefs kiss! I had to the crispy chicken and it's officially my favorite on the Blend location's menu. I've been to 4 of their locations and honestly they need to have this location train the staff and chef. The manager even came over to ask if everything was okay. Omg what? I was stunned, but appreciated him asking. The drinks were better than any of their other spots - I'm seriously considering only coming here and none of their other spots. Please go and see for yourself! I wouldn't lie to you. Yelper pinky swear. Enjoy!

Overall, good portion sizes and flavors. The letdown was the lava cake, which wasn't hot or oozing. Otherwise, the tacos and appetizer were quite delicious. The servers were a bit distracted and I had to flag them down. The ambience (neon lights and the dimly lit interior) is great for a celebration or a gathering.

Our recent visit on 5/11 to Blend left us with mixed feelings. Arriving at 3:10 without a reservation, we were informed by the host that they were only seating guests with bookings today, despite several empty tables visible. Even outside seating was off-limits, half of it was clearly empty. We politely requested her couple of times, but she said she couldn't help. Frustrated, we left for another restaurant, but upon checking Blend's website, we managed to secure a reservation for 3:15. Returning, we questioned why online booking wasn't suggested earlier, to which the host had no answer. During ordering, we were disappointed to learn that some of the dishes were only available for dinner. Despite expressing our fondness for a dish, the host claimed it wasn't available. But later the server informed us it was available and we could have ordered with her. When our server informed the host about the confusion regarding the dish availability, she once again claimed ignorance. Throughout the ordeal, there was a distinct lack of apology for any of the mistakes made. Her repeated dismissal of customers and awareness of item availability undoubtedly impacts the restaurant's reputation and bottom line. The lack of knowledge and courtesy from the staff, especially the host, was disheartening. While our loyalty as regular customers remained, we left feeling undervalued. Hopefully, the management addresses these issues with proper training for the staff. Despite our disappointment, we still tipped generously, a testament to our longstanding patronage.

We just happened to walk by and come in to have lunch. We were seated immediately since it was early on a Tuesday. My boyfriend and I have been to the other location- blend on the water and loved it. This place is just as good! The food was DELICIOUS!! This place is smaller than blend on the water but it is so pretty inside! We rate this place a 10/10 and will be coming back when we come up to Astoria (which is fairly often)

Very good! Beef empanada was delicious we tried the guacamole it has sun flower seeds that was different I had the crispy chicken with fried rice,we tried the seafood fried rice (Chaufa Con Mariscos) Pollo A La Plancha was delicious great ambiance

Order: - Skirt Steak (3/5) - Chicken Taco (4/5) Pros: - Good menu options - No issues getting a seat during lunch time Cons: - Food took a while to come out - Skirt steak was super oily - The tables weren't cleaned that well and you can see crumbs underneath the glass Overall: This restaurant is definitely more of a night spot to get food/drinks rather than a lunch spot. Food was alright but not worth it in my opinion

Got off to a rocky start. We were seated for over 15 minutes & no waitress came by until I spoke up to the hostess (kindly of course) that's the main reason why I'm giving the restaurant a 4. After that little hiccup, everything was fine. Our waitress was kind/hospitable. The foods AMAZING. There wasn't a dish I didn't like. I highly recommend the mushroom flatbread & crispy shrimp as appetizers, it's finger licking delicious. I ordered the citrus crusted salmon for my entree & omggg it exceeded my expectations. I'm not a fan of asparagus, but the way the chef seasoned and grilled it *chefs kiss* Overall I highly recommend this place your tastebuds won't be disappointed.

Drinks and food aren't too bad. But my experience here was muddied by an obnoxious patron having a super loud conversation on the phone with some gal. Some people really have no tact and it makes the establishment's environment super downgraded by their immature behavior... Beyond that, this place is pretty good, especially on a weekday at lunch time when it's a ghost town... Love it when I see it.

Good vibes - there is a live DJ and they play pretty good music for you to enjoy the night. However it's super loud and more catered towards birthdays and other events with large groups. Food - so mid nothing special, everything is dry and overpriced.

Server was attentive, nice, the food had good flavor. I had the tres golpes and the mangu was very soft. Coffee was very good as well.

This is the 3rd blend location I've been to now. The decor is nice and they have outdoor seating as well. The have DJ booth so I guess they play music too. Came on a Monday for lunch. They have daily brunch from 11am-4pm with special on drinks. Sangria wasn't the strongest thing and the wine..well it's wine that was good. For appetizers got corn which was good but not the best compared to others. Avocado tostadas was really good! Loved that. The guacamole & chips was tasty and had flavor. Service was bad tho. I'll say it's because we were seated towards the back & only one server for the time I went, 2pm. Entree was chicken burger (okay) & the blend burger took 30 minutes to come out?!? Overall, not sure I'll go back to this blend location. Appetizers was the only good thing, only reason for the 4 star.

Been coming to blend for years and it never disappoints Savannah and gabby always treat me like family and make sure I'm more than happy when I'm there.. they have a Dj on the weekends and it's always a vibe

Food = Delicious Ambience = Classy Service = Good Came to Blend Astoria last year in April to celebrate my birthday and we had a great time. The music was on point. The drinks were AMAZING. And the Henny Inside of a Pineapple was super Cool. The food was also good. A little Pricey but definitely a good place to go to celebrate birthdays, events or even to go on a date. Id recommend dressing up nice to fit in with the ambiance.

I like this blend, and I've been to two others so far. This is a great location, parking isn't too bad and the food was good. I had the guacamole which could have used some salt, the sunflower seeds they added to it does not add salt to the flavor so I'm not sure what that addition is about. The crispy chicken with fried rice and mango avocado salad was delicious, the texture and flavor of the chicken as well as the flavors in the fried rice ohhh it was so good. The service was friendly not very attentive but that's cool because it also wasn't a lack of service as well. It's beautiful inside and the music wasn't too loud. If you do not like dark chocolate do not get the chocolate cake it has a strong chocolate flavor but the ice cream does help to balance the strength of the chocolate flavor.

Food was good, service was amazing. The ambiance was nice, my only complaint is the guava Bellini which was most important to me, it taste like water and juice, not a Bellini. The prices were reasonable. I'd for sure try them again

Food is delicious and well cooked. The food presentation when served exceeds my expectation. Staff are welcoming and people friendly. Beautiful ambience but music is too loud!

Came here for a friend's birthday party and we had a blast. We ordered a bunch of different empanadas and appetizers to share. Everything was delicious! I had the steak and it was amazing. I have zero complaints. The drinks were also strong and good, can't go wrong with that. It is a bit pricey but you're paying for good food and drinks. The ambience was nice, it felt like we were fine dining in a Latin country. The service was good, our waitress was nice and very attentive and friendly.

Started with guacamole without sunflower seeds. It was very good. Sorry forgot to take pics because we were hungry. Ordered a mixed berry caipirinha & a grey goose fruit punch. Both were ok. Needed extra limes for taste. For dinner, we got 2 churassco dinners with yellow rice instead of white rice. Steak was well done. And a side order of maduros. Everything was great! Would highly recommend this place.

Came here last weekend for the first time in about a year. We didn't have reservations but luckily they were able to seat us immediately. That didn't mean we got immediate service. Luckily we were patient and didn't have time to look for another spot. So we stayed. We ordered our standard Sangritas and appetizers. Food/drinks were decent. I would always order the same thing so I can tell the quality has definitely changed since last time I came. I used to come here pretty often so I can tell the difference lol Service was slow but the staff were nice so I give them props for that. Think I will stick to the LIC locations moving forward.

Great atmosphere and hospitality. Food was on point. This was my second time visiting and 1st for brunch. Blend is a great restaurant to visit.

Hmmmm...looks like we came across the "I don't give a F *** crew" tonight. The service started off sour from the moment we walked in, we stepped in to a fully seated restaurant with no hostess. The manager walked up a few mins later and was realizing to a waitress, I kindly smiled and said "hello" hoping that they would acknowledge me enough to seat me for my reservation; I was so wrong... the manager didn't even look in my direction and the waitress turned her back!

Delicious appetizers and good strong mojitos. We stopped here just for a quick bite and drinks on a Friday night, sat at the bar and the bartender was super sweet, we got some appetizers which were yummy (sweet plantain croquettes and Diablo shrimp) and ordered some mojitos (coconut and lychee) and they were delicious and with a good amount of alcohol. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because I wanted a sangririta or froze but their machine wasn't working bc "it was too hot"- the whole point of a frozen drink is to get it when it's hot LOL. Hopefully they can fix that! Other than that the vibes were nice and the music was fun.

We normally go to blend on Vernon blvd. But we were closer to this one on a Sunday. We were seated right away four of us. This location i bigger and i like that's it open so you can really see outside and get fresh air. The menu is a bit different. We love the sagritas. We didn't t see it on the menu we had to ask for it. It's supposed to be frozen but this one was very thawed out didn't taste great. The food was delicious. We also had the maduros with cheese ( not pictured) omg to die for. Me and my husband and the 3 golpes did not disappoint. My sister had talapia she said it was delicious. And my brother in law had the steak he complained it was too small lol . The bathroom's lighting was horrible it was like there wasn't any i had to use the bathroom holding my flashlight form my phone.

Lovely place in Astoria. Blend is always a sure good time. The ambience is beautiful drinks are great and food delicious. It's also a great deal for everything. Definitely give them a try my go to is the chicken skewer and for meal the fish

Food it's terrible absolutely terrible You could invest lots of money in a place like this one but how they have survived it beets me the food it's the worse

I came her with my girlfriend, her friends and family, to celebrate her saying "Yes" to the dress. It was a rainy weekend and parking in the area is horrid. We had to wait for our whole party to be present in order to be seated. It was a little difficult because we all traveled separately and parking is not the greatest. I circled and had to park two blocks away. The staff was nice but service was a bit slow. The food was ok and the vibe was energetic. We all had a good time and I would come back if invited.

The location is beautiful great atmosphere. Food was decent had my mangu fried cheese, salami and egg. Loved it! The waiter forgot to bring my coffee got it for desert. My husband churrasco with eggs was good. Desert was not amazing just good didn't feel fresh nor old but just not what I expected. Love the visit

Omg this restaurant is soooooooooo good the are very delicious and the drinks are Very good .. I Definitely can't wait to go back the only thing about that area is NO Dam Parking im taking a Uber next time we visit

Came on Valentine's Day...they had a pre-fix menu that night. Food was good - I wasn't a fan of my Churrasco because it was too pink for my liking. Calamari and Arepa cups were super gooood! The drinks were ok z wasn't a fan of their take on Moscow Mule. Our waitress was great. I'd probably go back and explore more of the menu

I'm giving Blend Astoria 5 stars because the food is delicious from the seasonings, the way they cook it and the taste is amazing. Blend Astoria never disappointed me since they first opened many years ago. The drinks and music is always a vibe Also the server Savannah is an amazing person, she's funny, smart, and knows what I enjoy for brunch and dinner. She never gets my order wrong. She's the best employee they have in all the blends.

We made a reservation, and arrived right on time. We were seated outside, and right next to a speaker. Upon asking if we could turn the speaker down a little, it seemed like it was quieter and then loud again a while later. We had a hard time hearing each other in conversation because the music was SO loud. We felt slightly forgotten about, and would have ordered more drinks if our server came back. We saw them once - and that was to take our order...they didn't come when the food arrived (one of the other staff did), and never came to check up on us. We had to flag down another server to pay, all while ours was sitting speaking with a different table. The food was ok, I think the other location in LIC is much better, both service and food quality wise. If I had to pick between the two, I would 100% take the extra 30 minutes on the MTA to get to Blend on the Water.

I have been here twice to this location so far and loved it both times. The frozen sangria is wonderful and the pernil is cooked to perfection. The appetizers could be larger but only because I love them so much. They play music but not so loud that you can't be heard while talking at table. I went for my Birthday and everything was perfect. on my second time on Christmas Eve the food did take about 45 minutes to an hour to come out which was a lot longer than first time I came not sure why because it was not any busier than my first time. I recommend this location over the location in Manhattan on the water. The entrees were made different. The pernil was Bland at the Water location. Not shredded like at the Astoria location. The shrimp appetizer was also different between the two locations. In my opinion this is the best location

I love coming here! Food is great and drinks are bomb! The ladies are attentive and friendly. My favorite dishes are the citrus crusted salmon for dinner and the tres golpes for brunch . My boyfriend loves the ropa vieja which comes with rice and beans. For apps I really love the calamari, cubao buns, arepa cups and the empanadas. We always get the sangrita which is just frozen margarita and sangria. One of these and you'll feel nice . Most of their drinks are really good though. The space is large with seating available at the bar, main floor and an upstairs. Music is always great too!

This place gets 2 stars for the ambiance and the service, the staff were friendly. The ambiance is definitely for pictures but the FOOD definitely do not recommend. The only thing we liked were the empanadas, the pasta was TASTELESS. Salt and black pepper were added and still was not enough, the shrimp were good, but that's all. The caption says it all, if you need a spot for pictures go here, but only eat empanadas and have a drink. I would not recommend for a date night. Sorry, not sorry.

I came here for a birthday celebration and it was amazing. They had a prefixed menu for our guest and the ambiance definitely matched the moment. The food was flawless! They're mash potatoes are green but trust me, you want to order that! Their drinks are pretty and the service was great! If you haven't stopped by, you need to.

So I've been a Blend customer for a while now. Food & ambiance is usually good. The problem is service at times. And I think the main reason is because they automatically add gratuity to the check. I mean, tip is supposed to be based on service, right? But if tip is included, then qualify of service doesn't really matter. I was just there a few weeks ago & had a good time. My friend & I stopped by late Saturday afternoon. We were seated in the front of the place where they open the windows up. So I saw our server stop by the table right next to us at least 2-3 times, but did not stop by our table to greet us or take our order. After about 10-15min, we ordered with someone who must've relayed our drink order to the server. The server put in our order & still did not come by to greet us, pour glasses of water or anything else. We felt unwanted & ignored. She ruined our mood & we didn't want to stay. We got our drinks, chugged them & asked for the check. We finally met our server when she came to drop the check. Didn't even say hi, just asked if we needed anything else. She seemed happy that we were leaving, even tho I'm pretty sure she knew we were leaving because of her! Might be a while before I stop by again.

Ordered: Takeout Lunch - Cuban Braised Beef (~$11): braised beef with peppers, tomato, and onions; served with rice, beans, and sweet plantains Takeout Lunch - Half Chicken (~$11): Rotisserie chicken with green aji sauce; served with rice, beans, and sweet plantains Aya's take: It didn't take long for me to come back for lunch. I decided to try new items and they did not disappoint! Portion of rotisserie chicken is solid with a good mix of white and dark meats. The green aji sauce had nice freshness from the cilantro and a kick from the peppers. I would put that on everything! The braised beef was plentiful and although very seasoned, it just didn't hit the spot the same way. And of course, the delicious sweet plantains really took this meal to the next level. If you haven't ordered Blend for lunch yet, what are you doing!

The food was "good" the appetizers were delicious, Brunch was overcooked and felt a little awkward as the service here is the absolute worst. Like taking my husbands plate while he was still eating, cause she never asked. No follow up, no professionalism. Train your people as it's a big turn off- that they are not a wait staff at all. Bus boys taking 1 dish off a table at a time- when they are all empty. Appetizers with no plates, that i have to ask for. Common sense things that don't require heavy work load. honorable mention thst it was not a busy brunch time of 2pm. Not a packed house. The biggest eye opener of the day is the woman swiffering the floors mid meal throwing all the dust the air. What a disappointment to travel from long island to astoria for a lame experience. Definitely has great potential but seriously missing the bar.

Food was mediocre but this review is mostly for service. My friend and I arrived and there was barely any people in the restaurant. However, it took 15 minutes to get just one drink. We couldn't even get water and sat on the table for 10 minutes before a waitress noticed us... in a room full of no one but us. Our appetizer arrived first and we were halfway done when our first drinks arrived. My friend ordered a tequila soda but just received a tequila shot. We cancelled the drink order after waiting so long, with no apology from the waitress. I went here before for brunch and received the same service with a larger crowd. So at least service is consistent, regardless if it's an empty restaurant or a full one. We went across the street to a Mexican spot and received better service. There are way more other places in the block than to waste money on a place that doesn't want to serve you.

I went to this reblstaurant years ago it was good and My friend and I enjoyed it. I happened to be on a date in the neighborhood yesterday and mentioned the restaurant. it was terrible the food is not authentic tasting and the bartender looked miserable the waitresses not one smile. everyone looks unhappy. My date mistakenly bumped elbows with one of the servers and he apologized, and she said NOTHING and had a nasty face. Place is only hyped for the ambience Def not worth it.

The order was received swiftly & noted to be properly handled with attention & care- Flavor profile was immaculate & met all expectations, however it is of upmost importance to note that the mangu was the star of the show - it deliciously glazed against my palette and seamlessly melted onto my taste buds- it was truly the most memorable part of the dish. Even though I got takeout, I've been there before and the ambiance is beautiful too. Will reorder in future occasions. Thank you 10/10 Recommend

A large group of us stopped by for lunch/brunch after a surprise proposal at Gantry. It was a little after just noon and we were seated immediately indoors. Our waitress was super patient and attentive with taking all 14 of our food and drink orders and refilling our water. All of our food generally came at the same time and was still warm. I ordered the veggie paella - well-flavored and savory. Came with a small side of plantains/maduros and I'm not usually the one to go crazy for these but still yummy. My boyfriend ordered arroz con Pollo - presentation-wise it looked exactly like my paella except with chicken. He said the chicken was a little on the dry side though. My friend that sat across from me ordered the churrasco - I can tell it was cooked to her medium liking just by the way she cut into it. She also said it was delicious. Overall a good experience - a satisfying meal. Would come back to maybe try more of their drink selections (didn't get pictures of them) if I am ever in the area because they were on the stronger side.

Came for brunch on a Sunday. The place was empty so service was attentive and also attractive (beautiful people) which was nice. The food is 4 out of 5. Flavor wasn't all there and lots of salt. The arepa appetizer was very good. The yuca arepa was flat and the salad had a lot of dressing!

The food and service didn't wow me. Came here from a tik tok video and I should have known the food would be mid. After dropping off our food our server disappeared for about 35 minutes, we had to ask the hostess to close out. $4 sodas with no free refills. Will not be back

Nice place for a party. Food was good and pretty fast staff was very attentive. It's hard to find parking but thats Astoria. Definitely will return. I had the skirt steak and the crispy shrimp as an app.

I've been to this location twice now, first when they opened a few years ago. The service has gotten better and the food was delicious as always. Blend never disappoints. I would highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time especially on weekends. They get really packed - me and my friends ended up having to wait at the bar for our table for about an hour. No complaints though; the bartender was really friendly and the music was great. This might be my favorite Blend location because of the ambiance alone. Great spot for a date night or dinner/drinks!

Came here for brunch and it was a pretty good experience. When we entered, we sat down and got the menus. While they don't have an unlimited option, their brunch drinks are pretty cheap so not a super big concern. I got a gin and grapefruit juice for $6 and a bloody mary for $7. On Sundays they also had a deal on their frozen drinks all day for $7. Seems like they have some pretty good happy hour and daily specials as well. That being said, the drinks are a bit on the smaller side but still tasted pretty good (maybe a little weak). For food I had the arepas benedictos. The plate was massive. The short rib was delicious and tender. The arepas were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The salad, potatoes and peppers were also a nice touch. The service is like extremely present when you don't need anything and then goes missing when you need a drink. The staff is super friendly though and they always kept our waters filled. A great place if you want to have a drink or two with a friend aren't going crazy. That being said, the space is big and they have a nice outdoor area as well if you were to bring a big party here. They also have a nice back area that could fit a decent number of people. When we started brunch at around 12:30 it was pretty quiet and a cozy environment. However, around 1:30 they started playing music really loudly even though it was still fairly empty. It was a little aggressive. Overall, a pretty good experience. Will try to check out some of their other specials if I'm in the area!
