As a wedding photographer, I absolutely LOVE Blockhouse PDX! It offers the perfect modern garden oasis while still being easily accessed from the metro area. And, with Oregon having unpredictable weather, this is a great all-seasons venue. Who wouldn't would a dreamy greenhouse wedding? It also offers a variety of options photo wise from urban surroundings with a more industrial aesthetic to a whimsical garden world! Can't recommend enough!

Such a great venue! Staff was very hospitable and accommodating. Loved the cozy feel with all the beautiful greenery! And the chickens were great “extra” guests!

Our dream wedding for our small intimate wedding. Tucked in the heart of downtown Portland, you would never expect to find this gorgeous wedding venue. When envisioning my big day, I wanted it to feel like a warm, intimate dinner party and the Blockhouse in November was just that. Their team was so easy to work with and on top of everything. From coordinating with catering to handling all the rentals, we couldn't have been more grateful. Especially when it came to the big day when they handled all of the set up, flip from ceremony to reception and tear down without asking anything from us or any guest lifting a finger. I've been to weddings where guests are bringing moving their own chairs but not at Blockhouse! Having your wedding or event at Blockhouse will take a lot of your plate as they are so attentive and know exactly what they are doing. Blockhouse is stunning and inviting, and I highly recommend hosting any event here!

The Blockhouse and Pomarius Nursery was and is the most amazing wedding venue that we could have dreamt of for our April wedding. With our small and intimate guest list of 40 people, the space felt so personal and intentional. It was so versatile for our ceremony, reception and dance space. The staff was amazing and so communicative with helping us plan our day all the way from Indiana. We are so grateful we found this little slice of heaven in the heart of downtown Portland.

Blockhouse is everything you could ask for in a wedding venue and more. We were nervous to plan a wedding out of state and they made the process seamless. The venue has so much natural beauty and their partnership with Pomarius just adds to the space. They made sure we were able to have the most perfect day, one we’ll be dreaming about for a long time. Event big or small, we recommend Blockhouse and their amazing team.

One of the best decisions we made was choosing this as the wedding venue. They were very easy to work with, followed up at different steps leading to the day without ghosting, provided recommendations for other vendors, and the place has so much character when combined with the Pomarius orangerie. The only downside I would say right now is not having a dedicated space for getting ready. I hope they expand this in the future. I will highlight the super professional staff that served us from booking on. No wonder this place is popular.

We booked Blockhouse to host our October 2023 wedding reception. It provided the perfect outdoorsy atmosphere while still being easily accessible from the city, and was an intimate space for our 30 person wedding. Working with the Blockhouse staff was easy. They were communicative, helpful, and timely. Everything went off without a hitch on the day of our wedding. It was the cozy garden dinner party of our dreams!

Attended a wedding in this Nursery and it was an amazing venue. Fabulous party space. And you have flowers and plants already around you in abundance.

Blockhouse and Pomarius Nursery were the gorgeous green setting for our wedding. It is beautiful and a photographer's dream. Our guests loved the unique and intimate space. Only quirk is that there may likely be a train going by during your ceremony, like it did during ours. But honestly, it added to the charm of the day. The staff is easy to work with, and their list of preferred vendors is comprehensive.
