"For sushi in the Woodlands, head to Bloofin. The restaurant, which also has a location in Spring, offers a variety of fish-fueled dishes like its creamy King Crab Chawanmushi, a hama chili with Fuji apple and mandarin, as well as sashimi, hand rolls, and maki. One of its top sellers includes the Hughes Landing, an sushi roll teeming with King crab, eel, avocado, tuna, scallops, uni, and salmon roe. The menu goes beyond the raw, though, with sake mussels drenched in a Thai red curry sauce, a 72-hour slow-cooked teriyaki wagyu skewer, lamb chops served with foie gras, and oyster mushrooms given the full robata treatment. Drinks are largely formed to pair with what you eat, so expect dozens of sakes and a few white wines to choose from." - Laura L. Green, Brittany Britto Garley

If you have a passion for sushi, this is a must-visit destination! After our first delightful experience, we were so impressed that we couldn't resist returning within just five days. The menu is a treasure trove of flavors, featuring everything from expertly crafted nigiri to melt-in-your-mouth sashimi and creative rolls that tantalize the taste buds. We also indulged in the sake flight, which, though served at a chilly temperature, was absolutely delightful and complemented our meal perfectly. The service was exceptional; the staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and well taken care of. The location offers a stunning view, and we were fortunate enough to secure a table by the window, allowing us to enjoy the scenery as we dined. Plus, parking was a breeze, with valet service available for every restaurant in the area. It was an all-around wonderful experience that we can’t wait to repeat!

After hearing glowing recommendations from friends for quite some time, I finally had the chance to visit Bloofin today. The ambiance, with a serene lake view outside, set the perfect backdrop for an exquisite culinary experience. Indulging in a variety of sushi dishes, from fresh fishes to high-quality wagyu, was an absolute treat for the taste buds. The outstanding service further elevated our evening, with our server Annalena being exceptionally sweet and friendly throughout our meal. Although we were already full from the delicious sushi, we simply couldn't resist trying the Japanese mochi for dessert and I must say, it was truly a delightful ending to a fantastic meal. I highly recommend visiting Bloofin for a dining experience that combines delicious food, a beautiful setting, and excellent service.

By the water and in a nice area, there's a parking garage nearby and some but not a lot of street parking. It was quiet but they had a nice outdoor patio area, we ended up sitting inside. There only seemed to be a handful of servers and our server became busy as we sat there. Some of our drinks were forgotten a couple times and we had to try and flag the server down. Everything else was good and the drinks were good aside from the inconsistent service which wasn't too bad otherwise. They were still friendly and tried to be attentive. We started with a glass of the Mily Way Sake and an Agave Raindrop. Both were very good and I definitely recommend it. We ordered a variety of items but started with the truffle salmon. Loved how the truffle paired with the salmon overall and it was very good. We did come during happy hour so had this for the happy hour price. We ordered the Uni King Crab Spoon and the Bafun Uni Sashimi with a quail egg on top. I loved both and loved how buttery the uni was. I also ordered the a5 uni caviar handroll which was very good. Our friends ordered the (Snow Crab) Shaggy Dog Roll, the Jalapeno Roll and the Robusta Maki. All were pretty good but I think I liked the Robusta Maki the best but all were pretty good. The Crudo Hirame was recommended but I think it was either too salty or acidic but I wasn't the biggest fan. I didn't know that it also came in the bloofin special that my husband ordered so I would have refrained from ordering it if I had known. The bloofin special came with a sea bass sulmono soup which was amazing, I would recommend ordering that separately. The Hughes Landing Maki was pretty good, i definitely enjoyed that. Overall, the food was pretty good and some misses for me. I'm not sure if it's all worth the price but overall very good. I do recommend the agave raindrop and the n/naka cocktails. Definitely worth coming for happy hour though!

Absolutely the best sushi experience! The fish was incredibly fresh, and every piece we tried was packed with flavor. You can really tell they prioritize quality. The prices were also surprisingly reasonable for how high-end everything tasted. Service was outstanding from the moment we walked in. Our waitress greeted us within two minutes and had our drinks on the way right after. Appetizers arrived quickly and were followed by beautifully presented sushi that didn’t disappoint. Bloofin Sushi has easily earned a top spot on our list of sushi restaurants in The Woodlands. Can’t recommend it enough—definitely worth a visit!

This place is the real deal Holyfield. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The fact that they serve real fresh wasabi was a hint of the quality you can expect here. The star dish for me was the lobster and crab ramen... amazing! Service and ambience are also on point. Definitely recommend and want to visit again.

Fresh fish and rolls, delicious cocktails as well. Very extensive menu - I want to come back and try more items! Loved their chawanmushi, shrimp dumplings melted in your mouth, rainbow rolls!, amd naruto roll (cucumber on the outside). The roll with the crispy potatoes was delicious, also loved the lion king roll. The mango sorbet and coffee gelato were stand out in the dessert dept.

BLOOFIN, located quietly within Hughes Landing’s restaurant row, offers an exceptional sushi experience in The Woodlands. We trusted our waiter, Henry, with our order after sharing our preferences — and every dish he selected was flawless. His expertise, combined with the quality and freshness of the sushi, made for an outstanding dining experience. BLOOFIN is truly a must-visit for sushi lovers.
