"Bloom Eatery offers renditions of some of the most beloved American breakfast staples, along with a variety of cocktails. Even though the restaurant opened during the peak of the pandemic, Bloom has cultivated a loyal fan base with its elegant but homey location in Santa Clara. The chicken and waffles are made with chicken thighs brined in buttermilk, paired with a Belgian waffle, and topped with spicy honey and powdered sugar. The croissant French toast — another top seller — features a freshly baked croissant dipped in batter, grilled, and served with pomegranate molasses, vanilla cream drizzle, and fruit." - Dianne de Guzman, Cathy Park

Food was pretty good, however it wasn't as exceptional to give 5 stars. The place has a nice vibe but the wait for a table was extremely long. Would recommend coming early or late. We had the croissant French Toast which was very heavy and the jumbo crab bene was pretty good. They don't have cappuccino or latte which was a bummer, but they do serve regular coffee.

Went here for Mother’s Day breakfast. Plenty of parking available. Food came out fast (under 5 minutes). I had the Chicken and Waffles — good quality overall, but the chicken was sliced pretty thin, which made it a bit tough. Our waiter was attentive and checked in often. Water was lukewarm. The space is open, well-lit, and had a nice buzz with a good breakfast crowd. Overall, I’d come back to try other dishes. The chicken wasn’t quite a hit, but the quality and speed were solid.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of food! Great little place for brunch. We had to wait for about 30 minutes for our table, so be prepared if you're super hungry. Parking was a bit hard to find since it was super busy. We had to circle the lot a few times and wait for some people to leave. We sat outside, and there were some space heaters so it wasn't too cold. The sandwiches are definitely worth it.

Bloom was great for brunch. There was little bit of wait as the restaurant was packed. Both veggie bene and croissant french toast were delicious. Service was great and quick. We skipped the house potatoes as they were made with duck fat, so if you are vegetarian, watch out for that.

The croissant French toast definitely lives up to the hype! We visited on a busy Sunday, but luckily we were seated at the bar within 10 minutes—without a reservation, the wait would’ve been about an hour. The food was delicious, though they don't offer coffee options, and it was a bit noisy. Despite that, the customer service was excellent.

Bloom is easily the best brunch place in town. We’e been probably 15 times now and tried probably all the other brunch places in town. The food is awesome, the drinks are great, and the service is great. Even the owners are friendly and everyone is super hard working. This place deserves way higher reviews honestly. The Croissant French Toast is like crack, their Bacon is way better than a nearby restaurant’s famous “millionaires bacon”, their sweet potato hash is incredible, and their steaks are always cooked exactly as asked and delicious. They even let us substitute our toast for delicious salad. But the real star of the show is those duck fat potatoes. Like seriously people are missing out. It kinda ruins potatoes at all other restaurants and that says a lot because I love potatoes. They are just so flavorful and creamy, writing this review is making me want to go so bad. They’re also willing to make changes and work with dietary constraints, something that isn’t always a given like you would expect. Parking is super easy and plentiful. Price seems reasonable for the bay area, it is on the higher end of brunch places, but it’s worth it since portions are bigger than other popular places and the food is so much better. It does get busy prime time on the weekends. I hope they open a second location to ease up on wait times. I’ve heard rumors that might be in the works. If they do I hope they close for different days so we can just always get our fix. It also is acoustically a pretty loud restaurant. I do wish there was just a bit more sound dampening on the ceiling or something. But i’m really reaching for something to improve upon, and the vibe is awesome. You get lots of people together having a good time and it’s going to be loud to some degree no matter what. Also want to call out the staff one more time. The younger guy at the front desk is always friendly and even remembers our name, the waiters are always great and friendly too, and when we sit at the bar, the guy bartender we always get is super friendly. They all work incredibly hard and it shows. High recommend checking this place out!

The ambiance is great. We had ordered croissant french toast and sandwich and both tasted great. Barring the wait time and the noise inside the cafe, this is a must try. And oh yes, the freshly squeezed orange juice was too good.

Bloom is a pretty good spot for brunch, but be prepared for crowds, it gets very busy, so making a reservation in advance is highly recommended. We waited about 30 minutes for a table, but the wait was manageable. The ambiance is charming, with tables placed close together, yet the abundance of plants gives it a cozy and cute aesthetic. The highlight for me was their freshly squeezed orange juice, absolutely amazing! My husband ordered the jumbo crab Benedict with duck fat potatoes. He enjoyed the Benedict but was disappointed by the potatoes, which were undercooked and not up to par. I had the garden veggie scramble with toast and potatoes. The scramble was fantastic loaded with fresh, seasonal veggies and perfectly seasoned. The European bread tartine with jelly was also a standout. Unfortunately, the potatoes were a letdown for both of us, under seasoned, undercooked and disappointing. And honestly, what's brunch without great potatoes, right? On the bright side, the service was good, attentive, and friendly. Overall, it's worth a visit for the food and atmosphere, but they really need to step up their potato game!

Yelp
If you're looking for a insta-worthy brunch place, then you've come to the right place. This place is right off San Thomas and is always popping! SERVICE: It gets reeeeeaaaalllyyyy busy on the weekends so make sure to come early to join the wait list (45 - 1 hour wait time typically). The food comes out ok, but since it's busy, it's understandable. AMBIANCE: Very noisy. It's noisier than other cafes I've gone to. Maybe it's due to the size of the place. But there is adequate room in the restaurant. If you're trying to have a conversation, just repeat it again lol. Love the plants and decor BTW. FOOD: I tried the Carnitas Bene(dict), (that's how they have it on their menu), churro waffle their house lemonade. Their carnitas were good, but I wish the meat was crispier. I liked they bake their own English muffin which was soft and airy but had a good bite. The green sauce (they had red too) that came with it was good. It wasn't "heavy" at all so I ate the whole thing. Also, get.their.PO.TAY.TOES. If you like garlic fries, these are like their equally handsome twin brother. The churro waffles where light and airy and true to it's description, it tasted of dulce de Leche (which was delightful). The fruit that they include compliments the whole waffle. On a separate visit, I tried their steak and eggs. The steak is cooked to your liking and they knocked it out of the park. I wasn't able to finish this one so it became a breakfast quesidilla the next day at home. Overall, I understand why it's so popular. Will definitely eat here again!

Yelp
Had to give this spot a try since there is always such a long line when I pass by. They have staff in the front to put your name on the list and will call you when they are ready to seat you. Came on a Saturday at 11AM and still had to wait 30-40mins which wasn't too bad since last time I tried coming it was about an hour to an hour an a half wait. The interior of the restaurant was very nice and busy. However, in the middle of this heat wave, it seemed as the restaurant was catching to sun too much and did not have central AC. It was very hot and stuffy which made it hard to enjoy the food that we ordered. Nonetheless the lunch was solid. Sweet Potato Hash (4/5): great portion and came out fresh, I've never seen a sweet potato hash and the ingredients were super unique so I ordered it Chicken & Waffles (5/5): this was the star of the show! the chicken was so crispy, hot and juicy! just wow! Honey Brussel Sprouts (4/5) a bit under seasoned and lacked a bit of flavor since brussel sprouts are more on the bitter end, still yummy tho! Butterfly Lemonade (3/5): presentation was nice but the drink itself was a bit too sour for me

Yelp
Party of 3 on 7/7/2024 We found Bloom on the fly while in the area. We checked in and were given a 35 minute wait time from the hostess. We were sat in right about that time. The table we were given was in the far back corner and I am glad because the main part of the restaurant was super loud and congested. The server was nice. Our food was definitely the best part of our experience. We ordered Chicken and Waffles, Bacon croissant sandwich, Churro Waffles and 1 Rise and Shine cocktail. All were super yummy and I would recommend all. The only issue for me was the hostess was not inviting. When I walked up, she wasn't at the stand but when she came, she did not ask how I was or if she could help me, she just looked at me and I finally spoke. I usually wait until spoken to as I know sometimes people are in the middle of something but she was not and just looked at me like I was bothering her. Customer services is not her specialty.

Yelp
Went for the first time on a Saturday around 10:30am and there was about 20 people waiting around outside. To my surprise, there was bar seating available, so my fiancé and i got seated right away :) The place is modern. There's bar seating, tables, and outdoor seating. We got our food within 20mins of ordering despite it being so busy. The sweet potato shishito hash was delicious! A unique combo - glad we ordered. The chicken in the Chicken & Waffles was juicy and slightly crispy, well seasoned. The waffles were a bit dry though. I think next time I'll order something else because the C&W got a little too mundane (same old chicken and waffle every bite lol). It satisfied my craving though. Staff were nice and attentive.

Yelp
BoozieBrunch on IG & TT recommended this place and it was good. 3/5 Ambiance- Well lit, bustling and family friendly. The space was small for the demand but clean and charming. They may need to move to a larger space soon. Its seems to be a popular spot. 4/5 Service- We waited for about an hour. Our server was very accommodating, professional and swift. When we inquired about specific menu meals and cocktails, he was knowledgeable and helpful. 4/5 Food and Drinks- I really enjoyed the cocktails! Since I'm on this mezcal tequila kick lately, I tried the Vacation Mode drink and it didn't miss. I loved it. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. See pics for reference. We all left satisfied.

Yelp
This place was really good! The only reason I have it 4 out 5 stars is because the establishment was way too muggy and hot. I asked our server three times to see if they can lower the air. I don't think she ever asked. We were so uncomfortable, hot and sweaty. Not good when you want to enjoy a meal. Other than that, the food was really good. I ordered the veggie scramble. They were generous on the veggies and cooked to perfection with a slight crunch. My friend got the breakfast burrito and was also delicious. We also loved how our food was really hot. Means it was just made and not sitting under a heat lamp. I also ordered for my husband to go the Carnitas Bene. He enjoyed it. I would come back but they definitely need to fix the AC situation.

Yelp
The ambiance of this place is super cute!! If you plan to come here, I recommend coming early or expecting a long wait. This place is known for their Croissant French Toast, but if I'm being honest, I more so recommend the breakfast burrito. It was the best breakfast burrito I've had in the Bay Area so far. The croissant French toast was very sweet. The garden scramble was also pretty good! It tasted like how you would expect- eggs and veggies :)

Sandy L.

Yelp
Food was excellent, service was great, ambiance was nice! I had stopped by with a couple of friends for a breakfast day out, the wait was about an hour long. The inside was kind of small and loud so we opted to eat outside. Luckily, it was a nice day out. At some points of our meal we smelled sewerage, some of the tables were placed near covered sewerage holes so you would be able to smell some bad odor from time to time. I ordered a chicken and churro waffle dish and to my surprise it was delicious! I originally wanted the plain chicken and waffles but the waiter recommended the churro waffle and it was so yummy, the chicken was flavorful and the waffle had a really good texture, usually waffles are soggy and soft but it was soft on the inside and krispy on the outside! It wasn't too sweet either! Would recommend this dish. The serving size was more than enough too! Service was great, he was very welcoming and made sure our table was doing good. He also gave really good recommendations which we all appreciated. Definitely work recommend coming to this restaurant. :)

Yelp
Delicious brunch spot. Portions are good for the price! I got their chicken andouille sausage scramble and loved it. Attentive staff and a very popular location to eat at. Went in on a Thursday morning and there were a lot of people, but was seated right away still.

Nancy T.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely delicious! Portions are great as well, given the price! Of course, brunch is expensive everywhere now, but I'd say the prices here were moderate compared to other East Bay brunches. The interior decor was also beautiful, just not the most seating, so there will be a wait. We came on a Saturday at 12pm and we weren't seated until 1:30pm, so definitely come early. Otherwise, the staff were all friendly and patient! Would definitely come again!

mocha m.

Yelp
So glad I got a chance to try this place. The croissant French toast is Amazing! The cocktails were delicious. Be prepared to wait to be seated, but know that the wait is worth it. Once seated the kitchen does a pretty good job of getting the food served within a timely manner. I can't wait to go back! I also had the chicken apple sausage scramble (not pictured) and I would recommend that dish, as well. The scramble was very meaty and contained a plethora of fresh vegetables...definitely farm to table!

Fran S.

Yelp
We thought we'd try a new breakfast place and found Bloom's. Expect a wait, as this place is popular. The ambiance is lively, although the noise level is pretty high. Our server was friendly, but we were sad to hear this place doesn't serve espresso, only drip coffee. We ordered the Chilaquiles and the Breakfast Sandwich with Roasted Potatoes. The Chilaquiles was tasty, plenty of chips, and I enjoyed it, but it was a little heavy for a morning meal. The Breakfast Sandwich was good, a little sparse on the avocado, but flavorful. The potatoes were a bit bland, and also, we had asked for extra crispy, but they were still not very crisp, and were just okay. Overall, we had a nice experience, and although we weren't wow'd, I'd come back again, and would perhaps like to try the Chicken and Waffles, or the Croissant French Toast.

Lin S.

Yelp
Tried this place only recently and I'm instantly a fan. We only ordered avocado toast and chicken waffle. The avocado toast was very tasty and healthy, all the ingredients are fresh and well balanced. The fried chicken on the waffle was heavier in flavoring, which paired perfectly with the waffle. Definitely one of my go-to brunch spots now.

Lydia C.

Yelp
Food: I want to give more than 5 stars for all the dishes! The flavor is just about right and super tasty and this explains the long que outside the restaurant. Must try their fresh squeezed orange juice, such a nice refreshment in the morning! Service: They are very busy but our staff still come and check from time to time to make sure we have all we need. Ambiance: Nice and cozy. Since it's busy so the noise is a bit distracting but it's not so bad neither.

Shivangi P.

Yelp
Such a pleasant surprise! When I was told there would be an hour long wait time, I was still a bit dubious around the hype. We did end up waiting and honestly the first bite of my churro waffle had me sold! If was absolutely delicious. The multiple glasses for fresh orange juice were also so refreshing, I will definitely be sure to try the other mocktails available next time. Since we visited in the second half of the afternoon, the staff was kind enough to let us sit almost till close! Our group also got avocado toast, the veggie croissant sandwich and the chicken croissant sandwich -- all were extremely happy with the choices!

Yelp
My partner and I had breakfast here on April 21st, 2024. We ordered-- 2 Iced Teas 1 Croissant French Toast 1 Chilaquiles The Chilaquiles was made well and tasted good, but as a personal preference, we both are not fans of a green Verde style sauce. Basically just for the future we need to be aware if there's multiple sauce options, etc. As for the croissant French toast... the toast part was delicious. The pomegranate molasses tasted like a balsamic reduction. Very tart, and unfortunately for me, I had lathered the entire croissant in this molasses so it became moist and so sour tasting. Prices were very affordable!! The most expensive items on the menu looked to be the cocktails ;- ) Thank you for reading!

Katherine F.

Yelp
I'm a brunch fan! Love trying new places! And this place exceeded my expectations!!! From the outside it looks like a regular restaurant, but inside is gorgeous!!! Booth tables, bar area! Alejandro was our waiter! Great service, very friendly and knowledgeable! Staff checking on our table as well! And food damn!!! Delicious! Sandwich and steak and eggs were my favorites definitely!!! The parking lot is big! Great experience, recommend it!!

Mona S.

Yelp
This post is long over due. I have both dined at bloom and picked up brunch. I can truly say all experiences have been amazing and delicious. I was genuinely surprised when I received my food it was still warm. I didn't have to reheat it! The service is always spot on whether you are picking up your food or dining in. I ordered the chicken sausage scramble and buttermilk pancakes. Delicious eat time!

Bethany K.

Yelp
Another popular brunch spot in South Bay. We came on a Saturday for brunch at 10am and the estimated wait time was already 40 minutes. We got some coffee at the Starbucks next door and waited there. Luckily it ended up only being 20 minutes before we got a text that our table was ready. The croissant French toast was delicious. The fruits balanced out the sweetness from the croissants. Portion size is pretty big. Cons: This cafe is popular so it does get pretty noisy. As some others have stated, they do ask people to leave as soon as you finish eating/paying because of the waitlist.

Marissa P.

Yelp
This brunch spot was a great experience for my friends and I, who got seated quite quickly at a high table despite it being packed on a Friday at lunch time. I got the croissant French toast and loved it, as it was a great size and came with fresh fruit on top of the yummy buttery layers. Although it is a little pricey, we all enjoyed what we got and would come here again.

Phong T.

Yelp
Let's spring into Bloom! Or should I say, let's BLOOM into Spring! And get some brunch. :) AMBIANCE Modern and simple. I love the hanging planters filled with beautiful, lush pothos above the booth seating upon entrance. There's a white neon sign that spells out Bloom on one of the walls. The light fixture that spreads out like a flower blooming filled with 20+ bulbs is magnificent--a well-thought-out interior. SERVICE My friends and I came in on a Thursday for brunch around 1 PM. Surprisingly, there was a 20-minute wait. Service was swift and excellent. FOOD We ordered to share. * Croissant French Toast -- I love the presentation of this entree. It was a beautiful and significant portion. It came with two croissant French toasts, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, vanilla cream drizzle, and a big scoop of whipped cream. Served with a side of syrup. I didn't have to use much syrup since the entree was dressed with pomegranate molasses, which was sweet enough. * Garden Scramble -- The scramble was filled with seasonal vegetables, tomatoes, mushrooms, green onions and topped with cheddar jack. Side of fruit cup: blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries. A significant portion and everything was fresh. * Breakfast Croissant Sandwich -- We ordered ham (alt. bacon), which came with cheese, scrambled eggs, and house aioli. Again, this portion was huge. We all took a bite, and it was delicious. * Side order of Bacon -- The order is supposed to come with four pieces, but we got like five or five and a half. No complaints. The bacon is dressed with a chili maple glazed. * Side order of Tartine -- This order came with slices of levain bread, European butter, and an organic jam; it was a berry of sorts. * Side order of House Potatoes -- The potatoes were seasoned well and had good flavor. They could be a tad crispier. It was served with ketchup. * Mango Lemonade -- This is freshly made in-house. Good tart and sweetness level. The mango is very subtle. Overall, it was a great experience and food. The portions are enormous, so we had a ton of leftovers. It was pretty loud inside. The noise just echoed, so I often had to lean in to listen to my friend speaking from across the table. There are a few outdoor seating at the front of the restaurant.

Brittany L.

Yelp
Been here a few times in the past but was in town for the day recently so popped in. Large portions. Got the 2 egg breakfast with bacon. The bacon had a sweet peppery ness to it which was a pleasant surprise. They have several strips!! I wish the potatoes could be a little crispier. I asked but they still came out soft. But that's my personal preference. Fresh jelly came with the toast. So good! Huge portion of eggs. Definitely couldn't finish all of the food. In the past I have gotten the breakfast sandwich and chicken and waffles. Definitely great options as well. Only suggestion would be to not leave bottles of water on empty tables. It sits and gets warm. Wish they would have given me a fresh cold bottle when I sat down. It didn't taste good, but easy fix...

Monique J.

Yelp
Has the extreme pleasure of going to Bloom for Fathers breakfast. Everything was top notch and on point. The wait was quick! The host was kind, personable and just made it a very warm and welcoming restaurant. Our server was as knowledgeable and very patient on helping us make selections form the menu. The serving size was large so let's just say you can definitely share portions because they feed you well. Loved the ambiance and the music playing lightly in the background of restaurant,

Rosalind W.

Yelp
Learned about this place from a fellow Yelper and it's been on my list. Finally made it out on Good Friday for brunch and place was packed around 11. Our party of five waited about 25 minutes for table. We were greeted fairly quickly at our server and he apologized for the wait. Food came out quickly. We enjoyed Jumbo crab bene, Croissant french toast, Spanish chorizo bene, Bloom burger (add bacon), and Steak & Eggs. Everyone enjoyed their food. The crab is real lump crab meat and not a fried crabcake with a bunch of fillers. Unfortunately, one of the chorizo bene had an overcooked a solid yolk but the other three did ooze. Restaurant was beautiful and contemporary. There is a full bar with bar seating as well. Combination of regular and high top tables. Plus outdoor patio seating. Will definitely add this to the brunch rotation.

Ronald M.

Yelp
An oasis! Best breakfast i've had in years. The Croissant French Toast was absolutely delicious. Big American size portions too!

Kimberly H.

Yelp
This is a cute brunch spot in San Jose! I went with two friends and we came on a Sunday around 10:45am. We were told the wait would be 1.5 hours, which was a great estimate of time considering they texted us 15 min before my 1.5 hr timer went off. The thing is, they only give you 10 min of grace period before you have to check in in-person. I recommend coming back to the restaurant around 20-25 min before your time runs out to be extra safe. The hostess was really nice to us, and only had us wait a few minutes since we came 17 min after the text was sent. The three of us shared 3 dishes: the Spanish chorizo bene, croissant French toast, and chicken and waffles. I'd definitely recommend the latter two dishes. You can never go wrong with croissant French toasts at brunch spots, and this was no exception - the perfect medium of sweet and custardy. As someone who does not like chicken and waffles at any establishment, I would rate this a 9/10 and would definitely order it again! The chicken wasn't dry at all, great crispy outer layer of skin and moist on the inside. The Spanish chorizo bene was good but not my cup of tea. The poached eggs were perfectly runny and the muffin was fluffy and great, but I personally don't prefer the sogginess of the bread considering the sauce was on top (standard for Benedict dishes). However, my friend thought it was great so it just depends on your preference. If you don't mind putting your name down early and waiting, I would recommend coming here for a weekend brunch date. The atmosphere was bright inside and lively, with good service. I'd come again :)

Yelp
Bloom 202 Saratoga Ave Santa Clara, CA 95050 bloomeatery.com (408) 345-2667 April 6th, 2024. Can't go wrong with restaurant that is next to Starbucks. Win win situation for everyone. Mom wanted brunch and brunch it is after my waiting to the last-minute tax appointment. We got there closely after they just opened for the day. And note there are already people in line. Lucky for us, we got seated within 5 minutes of checking in. * Sweet Potato Shishito Hash. Scratch made corned beef, mixed with sweet potatoes, caramelized onions and blistered Shishito peppers served with two eggs and house potatoes or a cup of fruit. * California Bene. House bacon, tomato and fresh avocado stacked on our artisan fresh baked levain bread. Topped with two poached eggs and our scratch made hollandaise. Served with your choice of house potatoes or a cup of fruit. * Waffles with mixed berries. * The potatoes are omg.com. I got full eating them that I had to take home my sweet potato hash order. * I did wish I ordered their specialty drinks; they looked pretty. Small place but they made do with all the spaces within. View of the kitchen-open style. Next to it is the bar area. Additional seatings are available at the bar. Tables are spaced out very closely, so yes, you will be hearing table conversations. The staff are very attentive, courteous, service with a smile.

Christina L.

Yelp
Came here for a second time as my boyfriend really enjoys their shishito hash. I had the bloom burger on my first visit and the carnitas bene on my second. Both were phenomenal. I really like that it's dog friendly and the servers are really nice. Will be back again!

Angel H.

Yelp
Updated w additional photos from the past year. Soup of the day was clam chowder and it was delicious! Huge bowl for $8 was a good deal, and it was a lot of seafood unlike many clam chowders served elsewhere that are mostly potato. The freshly cracked black pepper was such a nice touch!

Yelp
Hovering at 3.5, but rounding up for a pristine interior and servers that were quite on top of things. Bloom's food is remarkably creative (plus the plating for everything is beautiful) and is pretty satisfying as far as portions go. It doesn't quite hit the mark for 'great' brunch food, but it's pretty nice. However, unless you're hitting them up at opening you'll need to contend with a rather humongous line in addition to their fairly high prices. 20 bucks per person for breakfast is quite steep, so I personally prefer better bang for my buck...or maybe it's just this inflation catching up to me. Since they don't take any RSVPs, best chance is trying to get in at opening when it's quieter (we got seated immedietly at 8:30, but it was starting to fill up already), though you won't have their lunch options at that time. Given all the drink options it seems like they have quite the bar, but I'm not huge on drinks for brunch and more about the food. Menu is decidely split into breakfast and lunch options so make sure you're reading the right side for the time you're in. ==Chicken and Waffles - 4/5 Fantastic on chicken moisture and the sauces were pretty neat with a lovely spiced honey glaze on the chicken giving it a rather nice aroma. Paired with a slight drizzle of the syrup on the waffles does give it a rather nice eat when it's all paired together. That said the chicken could do with more seasoning and the batter was pretty much all soggy so not much in crispyness. Waffles themselves were fairly simple on the inside. ==Breakfast burrito - 3.5/5 The potatos had a great aroma and the salsa tasted really fresh, but everything else just really fell flat for me; really just needs more oomph. Some might like the fact it didn't have much grease, but it's to the point that it's cutting into how good it tastes. Slightly better than middle of the road as a burrito, but I was hoping for a lot better than that given the asking price.

Beatrice V.

Yelp
Busy and popular place to get brunch. I wish you could call ahead for a reservation or to get on a waiting list as the wait can get pretty long depending on when you come. I came by on a weekend late morning and the wait was a little less than an hour for two people. There's seating inside and outside (with heat lamps). The service was amazing once we were seated, our waitress was genuinely very friendly. I ordered the garden scramble and a side of bacon. It's so colorful and everything tasted so fresh. It came with a small side of fruit and a couple slices of toast and homemade jam (it's so good!!). The bacon was thick and had a little kick to it, it was really tasty. Would definitely recommend, just make sure you factor in enough time to wait for a table beforehand.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
I love this place. The bartender makes beautiful drinks and is fun to watch him in action. The food is fresh and the service is excellent. I had the sweet potato shishito hash today. Amazing! But honestly, I like all the dishes I've tried. Come here if you haven't. The only downside is that it can be busy!

Kehn H.

Yelp
Parking wasn't hard to find when you approach the place. Since it was st. Patrick's Day, it was a bit extra busy on a Sunday for this restaurant. The front desk waiter greeted very well despite the area being loud with how busy the place was. She stated 45 minutes of wait time but we got seated in 30 minutes so that was awesome! We've ordered chicken and waffles, burger and fries with two drinks, lemonade and Irish coffee. Food was well prepared but I'd only like to point out that one of them wasn't what I expected compared to many locations that serves chicken and waffles. Bloom served us a version that had breading over probably chicken legs that were deep fried, the skin would fall off almost immediately when biting off the chicken, the waffles were probably overcompensating for the chicken so that was forgiven easily. I figured that their version had a breaded chicken breast compared to what was served to us. Other than the chicken and waffles, the experience was good, the restaurant vibe was busy but in the back was super loud, knowing how small that area can be, I can hear everyone talking in full detail (even when I don't want to listen ) One last note, you can still order a drink from the bar if you're waiting 45 minutes to be seated, they'll fix you up a drink quick.

Abhilasha S.

Yelp
Worth all the hype. Food was really delicious. Had the croque monsieur and crab Benedict, both outstanding! Tried the honey gin cocktail and it was honestly one of the best cocktails I've ever had. The service was quick and friendly. Ambiance was modern and classy with gorgeous plants all over the restaurant. They do not take reservations so you have to walk in, put your name down and then come back between 20-40 minutes later. Can't wait to go back and try other things! Must visit brunch spot.

Yelp
In case you didn't know, breakfast is my favorite meal. It's the only time of day when you can have dessert as an entire entree by itself (pancakes/ french toast). And don't even get me started on omelettes and egg benedicts with roasted potatoes. My mouth is watering just thinking about this. When Bloom opened up, I knew I had to come support because I had already heard good things from friends that had already eaten here. Since then, I've been 3x now and I can honestly say that it's been consistent each time with both food and service. Firstly, hats off to a beautiful space with the modern bright interior! It's lit with great warm light from the lighting fixtures-- both the pendant lights and huge chandeliers that jut out above you. This is only complimented by the high ceilings that make the space look even bigger than it really is. The warm tones of wooden tables with sunflower backsplash under the bar make for a happy vibe which is exactly how I feel when I come in here. I know you guys are waiting for the food so I'll get to it.. **Spanish Chorizo Bene $21- Poached eggs served over a freshly baked English muffin topped with stewed bell peppers, tomatoes, cured Spanish chorizo, garlic and herbs de Provence. Served with house potatoes or a cup of seasonal fruit. I chose to have the house potatoes which are roasted potatoes that are simply wonderful. Fork tender and super soft inside with great seasoning and the slightest hint of spice. The poached eggs are runny- exactly how they should be. Love that moment of poking my fork through the eggs and seeing the yolk just ooze out dripping all over. The spanish chorizo is tasty and the stew tastes like it has been boiled for hours because of all the flavors that have been marinating. Love this stuff. And if you haven't met Reza (the owner)-- he's the nicest guy that is super passionate about his restaurant and food. Definitely recommend Bloom and will continue to come here.

Yelp
We came at 12:45pm today for brunch (with a group of 4). They said the wait will be 1 to 1.5 hours. We got a ping around 2:05pm that our table is ready. And that we have 10 min to come in and claim our table. I thought that since we got the table around 2:05pm that they will give us some time to look over the menu. But everything was so rushed by the time we sat down. I also mentioned that it was my partner's bday, and they said we can bring out a small cake at the end to celebrate. None of that happened. I called yesterday and asked if they take reservations and the answer was no. It was walk in only. I ordered the jumbo crab bene and it didn't taste good at all. The bene tasted so bad, no seasoning whatsoever. A good brunch spot will know how make a good benedict. Not sure what happened. The freshly squeezed orange juice was really good though. I was a little disappointed in the service and the food. Not sure if I will be coming back.

Yelp
Really excellent food. The pasta was delicious. A rich authentic combination with excellent parmesan shaved on top. The pancakes were very good. The fruit fresh and the coffee good. Really excellent service with a staff that takes ownership. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
Me and my family were visiting the area and stopped here for brunch. I got the Crab Benedict which was very good. The crab was very fresh. The service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and provided great service to our table. Although it was hot in the restaurant, the overall vibe was nice.

Yelp
We came here on saturday for brunch and it was so busy! We had a group of 6 and we were told to wait 30-45 minutes, but we ended only waiting 20! The restaurant is much bigger on the inside than it looks and there are a lot of tables and cute decor. After we were seated, our order was taken and we got our food quickly. We got the brussel sprouts to share and they were delicious! It was flavorful and crispy. We also got the sweet potato shishito hash and the chicken andouille sausage scramble. The hash was good, but I wish there were more potatoes and that they were crunchier. The scramble came with a side of country potatoes and those are the texture I thought the hash potatoes would be. Both dishes also came with a side of toast and the jam was amazing! Overall, this is definitely a cute brunch spot and I'd come again!

Yelp
Food was delicious and fast.. within 15 minutes from being seated our food arrived. Wished they had cafe lattes. The chicken and waffles was just advertised. Definitely a good breakfast spot.

Yelp
We dined at Bloom in San Jose for brunch with friends, and it's a busy, happening place that lives up to the buzz. This was a recommendation from another friend, and we're glad we tried it. The service was on point, attentive and friendly, which made our experience even better. The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for a weekend brunch outing. Food and Drinks: Croissant French Toast: I had the croissant French toast along with a mimosa. The French toast was perfectly cooked, with a delightful mix of crispiness and softness, and the mimosa was refreshing. Chilaquiles: My wife had the chilaquiles, which she thought were flavorful and satisfying. It was a generous portion, so she couldn't finish it all. Bloody Mary: Their Bloody Mary was delicious, with just the right amount of spice and garnishes. Overall, Bloom is a great spot for brunch to enjoy good food and the company of friends. The lively atmosphere and diverse menu make it a place we'd definitely return to. If you're looking for a fun brunch spot in San Jose, Bloom should be on your list!

Yelp
There are plenty of parking spaces here. The restaurant has plenty of seating available and is decorated nicely. We came on a Thursday morning for brunch, so it wasn't packed for us. I ordered the California Bene and it was good, but the bacon was tough to eat. They also came on toast instead of muffins, which I prefer muffins because they're normally softer. The potatoes were really good though, and you do get to choose between potatoes or fruits as a side. Overall, it was an average benedict, but still good to try. Recommendation(s): - California Bene Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - Plenty of parking spaces

Yelp
This place is very unassuming from the outside. It's located in an older strip mall with plenty of parking. We can on a Friday morning and it was packed, so assuming they have long waits on the weekends. Service was good and they are pretty efficient. They have a lot of the breakfast classics and a full bar. Only thing I would point out was their lack of coffee drinks. They only serve regular and decaf coffee, but I was really craving a latte with my breakfast. More of a spot for brunch and a mimosa. Food came out quick and was delicious! Well-prepared, nice presentation, and generous portion.

Yelp
Arrived around 9am on the Fourth and so glad that there wasn't a wait. We were seated immediately. It was a bit noisy and difficult to have a conversation but very eye catching inside. I chose this place for brunch to catch up with a friend from out of town. The service was good and food came out in decent time. We both wanted Benedict's but the French toast was calling out to us so we decided to split both dishes. We were both surprised to find out a single croissant was split in half and layered on top of two other pieces of bread. It was still a good portion but the croissant didn't shine. Still solid French toast with some delicious whip and plenty of berries to top it off. I liked that the bread for the Benedict was thick and unique but was a bit thrown off by the mustard spread which overpowered the dish. I was pleasantly surprised by the prickly pear refresher. I was worried it would just be another sugary drink but it was neither too sweet nor tart. It's sad mocktails aren't trending in the Bay Area because this drink fits in that category. Overall the quality of the food and drinks here were great. Strong execution but the decor definitely outshines the food and has you expecting a little more. I would come back with my dogs for the outdoor dining after it cools off from the summer since there really wasn't any shade from the sun and heat. It's an easy enough place to drive to and park but not crave-worthy the drive from the East Bay unless I was already planning to be in the area.

Yelp
Rounding up to a 4 stars but more like 3.2-3.5 star kind of place. This place is so busy even on the week days. The food is 3/5 for me. Service is 3.5/5. The atmosphere and vibe is 3.5/5. I enjoyed my brunch with girlfriends on weekday here cause the crowd is smaller. But I really don't like bringing my family and kids here on the weekends, it is so freaking loud and crowded!

Yelp
I've been meaning to come here, but it's always been so busy and I was short on time. Glad to have finally been able to try it! It's a lovely spot with lots of pretty hanging plants. I ordered the sweet potato shishito hash, which I haven't really seen at other places, and I'm more than satisfied to have tried it! The corned hash is savory and is balanced well with the light sweetness of the sweet potatoes. I'd want to go back and try other items, but I might find myself just ordering this again!

Yelp
Fast service, several food options and the food was well seasoned. The restaurant was very clean. Considering the spot is relatively small, it was loud and seemed to get really hot, but it didn't take away from the experience. I would come back

Yelp
This is my second visit to Bloom. It will be our staple brunch spot in NorCal. We were visiting my future in-laws and we wanted to treat them to a nice meal. My future in-laws can be picky with food, so we risked it for the biscuit and took them here. I only give 4 stars because the wait time. We got quoted 35 minutes and it was over an hour. The team was really friendly and kept us updated. It would be nice to see if they could upgrade to a system to see where we are in line vs me going up to ask. I felt bad bothering them for an update. Okay.... Back to the food..... Get the crab bene.... You will thank me later.... The Brussels are crisp and cooked just right! My FFIW is a picky eater and LOVE the grilled chicken. I got a bite and it was perfect.

Yelp
The avocado toast with microgreens was well-prepared, but the flavor profile didn't quite match my personal preference. However, everything else was excellent. I particularly enjoyed their butterfly lychee martini; it was both delicious and elegantly presented. Ambiance was great and busy place.
