"Blossom has been open in Silver Lake for a while, and yet this subdued Vietnamese spot somehow still feels a bit under the radar. The space is actually two stories, and you’re definitely going to want to make your way to the basement. Its serene vibe (and attached wine cellar) is everything you need when you just need some peace and quiet in the middle of the week. Get the pho with rare steak. " - Brant Cox

"Silver Lake’s Blossom Vietnamese Restaurant made a quiet exit over the weekend. A sign appeared in Blossom’s window on Sunset Boulevard thanking customers for eight years, and designated January 26 as the final day of service. It’s unclear what caused the restaurant to shutter, but the two remaining locations remain open. Blossom’s Silver Lake location had a multi-level layout that was part of its charm, with a more casual upstairs, and an intimate, romantic hideaway in the basement. Add on a select wine and beer menu that goes far beyond most Vietnamese restaurant offerings, which helped maintain a lengthy wait for a tables." - Mona Holmes

Always good authentic Vietnamese food, great service, nice selection, nice space. I've been going to Blossom since their first shop in downtown, years ago. This location in Silverlake has great food and service too! I've been here many times and always been treated well by the staff and owner. This is definitely one of the great Vietnamese places to eat in the heart of Los Angeles. I look forward to visiting their other locations too. Today we ordered spring rolls, shaken beef, and pho tai. All were delicious!

A nice intimate spot for dinner for two. We ordered a LOT of food, so they graciously moved us to a larger table. I had a ginger limeade, which was very good, lots of ginger flavor, not too sweet. I ordered the classic Pho (great), a crepe with shrimp and pork (dynamite), and these tilapia spring rolls (bomb). My girlfriend had the half cornish hen that was prepared sous-vide, with a salad and egg. That was fantastic. All in, a great meal, affordable, and we can't wait to go back.

Super great staff and DELICIOUS food. They were great about keeping fish sauce away from me #allergies. Good for lunch meetings or solo eating

We stumbled across this place while looking for "a good egg roll" late on a week night. Let me just say, initial appearances can be deceiving. It was a gem of a place with kind, helpful, friendly service. The food was pricey for my wallet, but the price it should be for what was presented. I'm not a huge fan of Vietnamese food, but the egg rolls were inspirational AND delicious, and so was the filet mignon I tried. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Great service. Good food. But especially a unique and memorable experience worth having. Come here with a date, a friend, a few friends or your family. You will be glad you did.

The pho is really delicious and they have dishes to satisfy carnivores and vegetarians alike. They have a number of quality wines to choose from and a few popular Asian beers as well. The space itself is sleek and modern yet very cozy and warm. A hint for newcomers: try to get a seat downstairs. Upstairs is nice but a bit sleepy and sterile whereas downstairs is kinetic and romantic. The staff has never been anything short of accommodating and is always quick to help pick out the dinner you didn't realize you wanted.

Exotic "crepe" appetizer. The Pho was good but a little smaller than I am used to. The Vietnamese coffee was strong, sweet and creamy, with complicated cup arrangement. Service was sufficiently friendly. Bathroom clean with aromatic liquid soap and lotion

Good authentic Vietnamese fare. Wait staff very eager to make your meal enjoyable. There are vegetarian options on the menu. Has extensive wine and cocktail menu. Prices are above average for Vietnamese dishes but not unreasonable. Would eat here again. The major shortcoming is the parking situation. The restaurant does not have a lot nor does it offer valet parking so you have to find parking on the streets around the restaurant.

Pho here is pretty good, but the dry egg noodle with pork belly is excellent. What's amazing about this place is its basement level. It's dark, cozy, and romantic. It is an ideal place for first date.
