"Blue & Fly remains one of the best casual Chinese spots in Omaha, boasting a two-part menu of traditional Chinese selections next to more Americanized options. Among the fan favorites are sauteed bok choy, mapo tofu, and scrambled egg and tomato. A white board on the wall features a rotating list of specials, and it’s worth inquiring what the kitchen has going on. The restaurant also offers delivery and curbside pickup." - Sarah Baker Hansen

We had been traveling for over a week driving across the country and back with our 3 kids. It was my sons birthday so we stopped early to dine in somewhere and Chinese sounded good to everyone. This little unassuming place was AWESOME!! Server was very kind with my kids, and he seemed energetic and happy to be there. The food was great! The veggies in ALL of our 3 different meals were incredibly fresh and crisp still, they were cooked perfectly! I usually hate the rice at most places because it's always dry and not cooked right, but it was perfect here, flavorful and moist and not to eggy. The staff surprised us and my son with some little birthday "gifts", which were all pretty cool stuff, and totally made his night since we hadn't made it home yet for his presents. They were all very thoughtful and kind, great service!

Admittedly I have been a snob about the Chinese food scene in Omaha after experiencing Chinatowns in NYC, San Fran, and DC. BnF offers a Traditional-Chinese menu with amazing authentic dishes. There is an American-Chinese menu as well. Everything is decent. The dishes are a fun experience to enjoy with anyone. They do get crowded during peak hours

I ordered HOT and crispy PORK. NOT . GENERAL TSO chicken. But they tried to convince me i had waht i ordered. Which i 100% did not. but my wife ordered general so . The cook didn't want to make 2 difrent meals . So they thru very little pork in with the extra chicken and tried to convenience it was what i ordered . 💯 was not!.. mine was not hot or crispy. The the waitress decided to tell me they mixed some chicken in with my pork. Which is Ludacris to serve and lie about what it is. And lets not forget dangerous. If someone had an allergie. It could be deadly. Fried rice was just plain white rice with very little egg and i got a 3.00 up charge for chicken that had no chicken. . . 1 of the worst restaurant expierancez ive ever had

The food was delicious!!! We had the scallion pancakes, wonton soup was AMAZING, Kung Pao chicken was very good and the Hot & crispy chicken was also delicious! I also like that they have spice levels. Waitresses were friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was clean and pleasant!!

We have had 2 family events here. They have a big room for 20 or so people. Ordered ahead and food was good. A little too salty but tasty.

How have I been sleeping on Blue & Fly Asian Kitchen?! I tried their lunch special with hot & sour soup + Mongolian beef w/ fried rice. Everything was perfect and so filling! Nice sized portions and friendly staff, you can tell they do this from the soul. I can’t wait to go back. 🍴

Very delicious food, nice clean atmosphere and friendly staff. The hot and sour soup was delicious, the cashew chicken and garlic chicken were a delight. They even have a traditional Chinese dishes selection. Definitely will be back again.

You can get more traditional Chinese food here as opposed to American Chinese food. Update: this is one of the rare places in Omaha that you can get Chinese food (there are many more American Chinese food restaurants). I found myself coming here the most if that's what I'm craving. Lamb noodle soup (seasonal) 5 stars If you like white pepper, this is the one for you. It's quite punchy in that flavor. Scallion pancakes 5 stars This is one of our go to appetizers for here. Bulgogi beef (Chinese style) 5 stars The peppery beef in brown sauce arrives on top of onions on a sizzling plate. Seafood noodle soup 3 stars This is a skip for me. There was a lot of squid/cuttlefish, 2 mussels and a bit of shrimp. I'm not as big into the squid. I liked noodles but the soup was not there for me either. I've just had better versions elsewhere and with the other dishes to choose from this is not one I'd choose. Pot stickers 4 stars Egg roll 3.5 stars They are fine, but not the kind I prefer. It's double battered as it's extra crispy which some people really like, but I don't want the extra batter personally. My friend and I usually get a smoothie. It's a bit pricier but they are very good. Previous review.... This was my initial visit. Food was good. There was no stand out dishes for me but it was a solid offering. Might have to go back to see if I can find something that makes me go back repeatedly. If I end up coming here more frequently I will up it to 5 stars . Pokemon: there is a pokestop nearby that you can easily get to from this location. Parking is relatively simple as it shares a decent sized parking lot with a few other businesses.
