The 29 Best Diners in America | Eater

"This Bennington college-town staple is famous for 'crunch berry' pancakes—raspberries topped with Vermont granola and maple syrup—and offers a wide range of vegetarian-friendly options (tofu scrambles, apple-cheddar omelets, veggie burgers) alongside New England desserts like pumpkin bread pudding and apple crisp. Housed in 1940s dining-car architecture, it pairs nostalgia with locally attuned menu updates." - Eater Staff

We had high expectations based on everything we read about this place and they exceeded them all. We all ordered something different and loved our meals. We had a variety- blueberry pancakes, omelet, home fries, muffins and coffee. They offered to grill our muffin….don’t miss out on this deliciousness. Everyone had great customer service skills and seems to get along well. They don’t mess around either. As soon as the waitresses see food, they rush to get it to you when it’s piping hot! The cook’s energy was infectious. He clearly enjoys what he does. He’s been working here since he was 18, I think our waitress said. I am sure that contributes to the consistency in their tasty food. You may have a wait but I can see why. It’s totally worth it. Don’t miss your opportunity to experience this amazing diner. My picture of outside is 6am but there was a full parking lot and wait around 11am almost everyday that we were there.

An old fashioned diner with great food and a very friendly staff. We had the turkey dinner and Thursday's special-- Mac & Cheese. They were both fabulous. They roast their own turkey, which is nice. We even got to meet the owner, who was very gracious. Just a really nice experience-- great food and very friendly folks. Very reasonably priced, too.

Delicious home style diner. I had a salmon burger special that was phenomenal, had a dill sauce on the side. Onion rings were perfect! So crispy and fresh. Diverse breakfast menu and plenty of vegetarian options. Will be back again for sure. 10/10!

This was our first time visiting as we were not impressed at all!How do you serve the chack after being served the food, that tells me that the wait staff just doesn't want to be bothered, I decided since I received my check i would just pay that way I didn't have to bother the waitress, the food portion wasn't impressive, eggs over easy barely had yolk and I had 1 piece of toast that was burnt (can't figure that out)also didn't realize there was syrup on table and waitress asked if my Wife if she wanted Maple syrup for her pancake so we were charged an extra $2 for a 2 oz cup,the bacon wasn't cooked all the way either,They also charge 3% for using a card payment,The wait staff not friendly either.Poor service all around

We had a party of 7 so we had to do takeout. Booths only seat 4 and it's too busy to grab 2 together. I was amazed vegan options were on the menu. All the carnivores we're happy as s well. The takeout was ok. U could tell it would have been way better fresh on the restaurant.

A quirky diner that was so good we ate here every day while visiting family in Vermont! Reminded me of a vintage Airstream from our home state of Ohio and yet the food was chalk full of great vegetarian options! And I mean diverse, high quality options! From 6 - 61 we were all mighty satisfied!

How can you go wrong? An awesome retro silver bullet train style diner with booth and counter seating, great seasoned waitstaff, and excellent food. The tofu scramble ( curry seasoned tofu, soysage, and veggies ) with home fries....spinach pesto omelet with home fries....and coffees....all for well under $30! Lots of locals eat here. Nice atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming place! 🙏 Can't wait to return!
