"Blue Bottle is a top-notch coffee roaster and café with a sustainable ethos, in multiple locations throughout NYC. Our picks: The siphon filter and the New Orleans iced coffee. This is the at The Highline, meaning it's a great pitstop before a weekend walk."

Where to Eat Near the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in NYC - Eater NY

"Skip the cafeteria coffee at the Javits Center and wait in line for some very geeky coffee. There will likely be several drip roasts to choose from, as well as various espresso and iced drinks and even an affogato. Pair a drink with one of Blue Bottle’s famous liege waffles, made to order with a soft bread and sugary exterior." - Stefanie Tuder

I rarely hand out 5 stars to chains, but this spot was something else. It ended up being the only café open early during the holiday morning when just about everything else was closed. I walked in pretty clueless since it's been years since I last visited a Blue Bottle back in Korea, and the menu here wasn't exactly beginner-friendly either. Luckily, the staff made it easy. Super kind and patient walking me through the options, even offered a quick sample of one of the drinks I was curious about. That small gesture alone made the experience feel a lot more personal. Coffee itself? Way better than I remembered. Smooth, balanced, and just the right kind of bold. You could tell they knew exactly what they were doing behind the counter. The space also had that calm vibe perfect for zoning out before starting the day. Grabbed a bite, sipped my drink, and got to recharge before jumping into the city again. Glad I found this place. I’ll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Google
4 stars Nice overall experience at Blue Bottle Coffee. The atmosphere is relaxed and the space offers some pleasant views — definitely a cool spot to take a break and recharge. While the americano was decent, it didn’t quite stand out for me. Still, it’s a good stop if you’re looking for a clean, stylish place with a laid-back vibe to grab a quick coffee and keep moving.

After walking along the High Line, we stopped by this location inside Hudson Yards for a coffee break. It was quite busy, but we were able to find an open table. Even though it's inside a shopping mall, you get some sunlight through the windows, which was nice. We ordered: - Pour Over - Giant Steps Batch Brew ($5+) - Matcha Latte ($6.50+) - Lemon Berry Swirl Poundcake ($5.50+) We weren't in a rush so it was ok, but the Matcha Latte took over 10 min. The poundcake, I wouldn't order again.

I've loved coming to Blue Bottle for ages, the coffee and service were excellent. But, this is the third location and service unfortunately has gone downhill... I asked twice that I wanted my coffee to stay, and they've prepared it on paper cups! When I complained, they just poured it on the glassware... I regret tipping when I pre-paid for it. In the "good old days", they would have prepared a new cup...

Google
Great coffee, very unique. I got the Nola cola coffee- which is carbonated coffee. Great spot to have my investor client meeting today.

Google
I recently visited this coffee shop and was so impressed by the experience! The cappuccino and latte were fantastic — truly some of the best coffee I’ve had in a while. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I want to give a special shoutout to Jan, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. I had an issue with my card, and she not only helped me with my order but actually paid on our behalf, refusing any reimbursement. I’ve never encountered such kindness and generosity from someone I had just met. Thank you, Jan, for your genuine hospitality and for turning a small moment into something truly unforgettable. Highly recommend this place!

Went to vessel and saw this shop in the shopping mall next to it . There was a Starbucks too but wanted to try this new brand ,. I actually liked it . We got a cold brew coffee and the flavor was good . Ambience was good . Service was quick too. There were few seats to sit and sip a coffee .. restrooms available. Good experience overall..

Google
The decor of this coffee place is minimalistic, neat, and fashionable, with a white and light wood tone that creates a welcoming atmosphere like other outlets of this coffee brand I've been to. However, seating could have been better in this one as it's in a busy mall area. The coffee tasted good, and I was lucky to sit next to the window. Service was okay despite there being many people waiting in the line.

Yelp
This is a convenient coffee shop in the Hudson Yards Mall! It's right near the escalator on the west side of the mall. There is a good amount of seating and a bar with some standing room. The workers are always friendly and they take their time to make an beautifully crafted drink every time! I love their cappuccinos with oat milk here in the winter. In the summer, their cold brew is my go-to! Yesterday I had their chocolate chip cookie for the first time and OMG was it delish! It was salty and sweet. The texture was crunchy on the outside, with melty chocolate on the inside. A perfect cookie! I do with the seating was a little more comfortable and that they did a better job of wiping down tables in between guests. But the drinks/pastries are a 5/5!

Yelp
I ordered the iced nola! The drink came out fairly fast and we were able to get a spot. I will say, the Hudson yard blue bottle gets very busy, so we definitely got lucky! The drinks at every delicious, but definitely on the pricier side.

Yelp
Matcha Latte tastes like grass. Seems like kind of a hectic location. Line is backed up and orders are left on the counter.

Yelp
We were in the area and needed coffee in the morning. Luckily Blue Bottle was open before the rest of the mall. There was a bit of a line but it moved quickly. Coffees were made correctly and tasted delicious. Great way to start the day.

Yelp
In 2023, I've had the pleasure of visiting this Blue Bottle Coffee location several times, and I must say, it has quickly become one of my favorites. Whether I'm ordering a large order for the office or just a quick fizz for me. I've been thoroughly impressed. I'll definitely keep coming back. The customer service is truly exceptional, and I can't help but commend them on their efforts. The Hudson Yards branch is doing an outstanding job, and I highly recommend paying them a visit.

Yelp
One of the better matcha lattes I've had. Non-dairy option and not too sweet. Quick service. Located in a luxurious mall.

Yelp
If you're in the mall next to the Vessel and looking for a nice, quick cup of coffee, then Blue Bottle Coffee will serve you well. On this cold February day, we hopped in here coming off the Highline and passed the Vessel to this beautiful Hudson Yards mall to warm up. Nothing over the top fancy, but a bit pricey. However, we expected as much given its location; it's literally up the escalator in a corner niche. Friendly staff and nice service. Seating is very limited. Sit and stay a while - it's a cozy spot!

Yelp
We stopped for pastries and ordered: 3*Apple Cardamon: small but good, not too sweet 5*Almond croissant: fresh and crispy, we loved it.

Yelp
I'm a tea drinker, so I understand that I'm not the target demographic here. Even so, I was disappointed. In contrast to their extensive coffee menu, there were very few teas available - there was one black, one green, and possibly one herbal. I ordered the green (a Sencha), which they steeped before serving. One sip was enough to tell me that it was brewed incorrectly: It was far too bitter to drink - either they used too much tea, or the water was too hot, or it was steeped for too long. These things happen; I get that. So, for only the second time in my life, I sent back a cup of tea, telling the barista that it was too bitter to drink. To my surprise, she began to argue with me. "It's tea, it's supposed to be bitter." Not like this! "It tastes different because we use loose leaf." I have 50 kinds of loose leaf tea at home; that's not why it's undrinkable. She relented only when I asked her to switch it for a cup of black tea, which was likely to be more forgiving to variance in preparation than the sencha. The earl grey I received was fine, and I enjoyed it at a table with my friends looking out over the passersby below. Great location. But stick to the coffee.

Yelp
Seeing this iconic blue logo everywhere around NYC, my boyfriend thought we should check out its hype that day. This particular location was inside the Hudson Yards shopping mall, right when you go up the escalators. With a limited menu, which I actually appreciate, we chose the bigger sized New Orleans Style Iced Coffee ($~6). Their default milk is actually Oat Milk, which is really cool! If only you can see the reaction video of his face when he first took a sip. The flavor seemed out of this world to my bf, but while it tasted better than drinks I normally have, I found it kind it bitter still. The sleek packaging sure made it feel like I was drinking quality though! From the looks of the cup, I thought the drink was mistakenly made hot at first, but it's cold alright! I enjoy how my fingers no longer feel the wet drips of the cup. And then, towards the end of the drink, a sudden creaminess took over my taste buds. Now this! I like. It got me wishing the drink never ended. Blue Bottle is pricey, but I recommend you try once too whenever you need that post shopping pick-me-up!

Yelp
A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! It was the weakest latte we had ever gotten. A regular latte and an iced latte with almond milk, with a 15% tip = $16.90. The iced latte had 4 ice cubes in the drink, was barely room temperature and not refreshing at all. I felt like I was just drinking a cup of lukewarm almond milk which I paid $9 for. Eh, I threw out my iced latte halfway through. Perhaps, the worst espresso/latte we've ever had... The regular latte wasn't much better. Too weak and no flavor. No, thank you.
google avatar

Yelp
I was at Hudson Yards when I was craving some coffee. I had their New Orleans-Style Iced Coffee which has cane sugar, milk, and chicory. I asked them to use almond milk for lactose intolerance reasons. The iced coffee was delicious. I believe that there was just the right amount of sugar in the iced coffee where it wasn't overpoweringly sweet. Since I was having the drink inside the mall, the guy at the cash register asked to see my ID and vaccination card in order to have my iced coffee in the mall.

Yelp
Great location, located on 2nd floor of Hudson Yards Mall. Limited seating in their cafe but you can find seating elsewhere within the mall itself. You can find all the yummy pastries including croissants, muffins, and more. Coffee & tea options are rather wide ranging for anyone needing caffeine! I got the drip coffee, which was very strong and much needed. I really like to keep things simple w/ my coffee orders. I took a star off because the person helping looked quite depressed and unhappy (and they just opened so not sure what was going on there). Clean cafe, great products and very close to the restrooms! Would recommend and would come back again.

Yelp
The coffee here is absolutely amazing. The line is SUPER long and quite expensive. We ordered a drip coffee, hojicha, and hot Nola. They all were made perfectly and the full of flavor.
google avatar

Marianne W.

Yelp
Blue Bottle Coffee at Hudson Yards can keep their Drip Coffee. I was at the mall earlier and there was a long line. I decided to wait for coffee hoping the line wouldn't be as long after everyone went to work. When I returned I took a look at the food which didn't look appetizing at all. I checked the menu and didn't see drip coffee. I asked the man behind the counter and he said a small drip coffee was $4.50 plus tax and it would take them about Seven Minutes to brew it. I just shook my head and said no thanks. It's a popular place from the looks of the people sitting around. I'm not going back. I skipped having coffee today! I'm not paying $4.50!
google avatar

Yelp
Very water down coffee. Not a nice after taste. Always wanted to try. & now I wish I didn't. Not my type of coffee. Ordered a latte..
google avatar

Henry V L.

Yelp
Blue Bottle Coffee is a place I would only get if I were to check out the Vessel. But coffee only. I got the New Orleans styled ones iced coffee and it was ok. It came in a hot cup. Strong ,impactful, and a hint of sweetness. I also took a picture of my sisters beautiful coffee design. But what disappointed me the most was the chocolate croissant, was only croissant! It was 95% croissant and 5 % chocolate. The service was normal though. Took our order and got our food and drink. I know there were a few more coffee places in the building but this one got to us first. Definitely read reviews to see what to order.

Remi C.

Yelp
Great staff. Delicious coffee. Try the Gibraltar off the menu. The barista's beverage of choice.
google avatar

Jessyca M.

Yelp
We just came here because convenience. Pricey, espresso is super small, and the regular brew tasted bad. They don't have splenda and stirrers. Sitting is very limited.
google avatar

Anny H.

Yelp
If you're ever visiting the edge or vessel definitely a good quick spot to grab some snacks and drinks. There wasn't a line which was great, service was good. We ordered regular croissant and a chocolate croissant. The regular croissant was a little burnt on the outside so it was super flakey, however the chocolate croissant when warmed the chocolate was melted on the inside and super delicious. I ordered the matcha latte hot, I asked them if it was sweet and they said yes so I didn't add any extra. When I got my drink it was super powdery and milky. It was not sweet at all. I am not sure if they made it wrong but it was not good. It was around $6 for a 12oz cup. Quite disappointed. I believe this place has great potential, definitely check it out if you are visiting the area.
google avatar

Wen Jin G.

Yelp
This is possibly the busiest and most hectic location I've ever been to. Lots of traffic from shoppers but staff members are quick and efficient. I got my usual, a latte and it tasted on point. The latte art was a little lacking but I don't blame them since they're just trying to get as many drinks out as quickly as possible. It's a good pit stop when you need a pick-me-up from shopping.
google avatar

Jessica V.

Yelp
Blue Coffee is pretty pricy but super good! I tried the iced sweet latte with oat milk and it was decent. There wasn't a strong coffee flavor and it wasn't super sweet but it was creamy. My friend got the same thing but hot and it was a lot sweeter than the iced version, not sure why.
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
After walking the High Line we stopped at the shops for some shopping and refreshments. Blue Bottle Coffee was one of several options in the shopping center. I ordered a sweetened latte with almond milk and my daughter had an almond milk hot chocolate. There was no wait to order. The person I gave out order to was helpful and provided suggestions as I had never been before. I asked to make a change to my order to decrease the amount of sweetener to the barista. It had just been started. I thanked her multiple times but she was still really rude about it. I Both drinks were delicious but I don't think I would go back because I don't think that her attitude was appropriate.

Yelp
On March 28, 2023, at about 5:40 pm, my wife, her cousin and his wife (visiting from Germany), and I, went to Blue Bottle Coffee on the first floor at Hudson Yards for coffee. We ordered one cappuccino and two americanos and specifically said "to stay "and not "to go". Our coffees were called ready at about 5:55. As soon as we got our coffee and sat down to have it, one of the 5 employees yelled out we're closing at 6, "You have to go". We were upset and asked them why they didn't tell us when we ordered that they close at 6 pm, or else we wouldn't have ordered as we specifically said the coffee was to sit down. Another girl said they announced it at 5:30 to which we said we came after 5:30. She and another girl with Pink/Purple hair said "You have to leave now, escort yourselves out" We told them this was very rude and unprofessional and as we got up my hand shook and my coffee spilled on the table. The Pink haired girl shouted, "What kind of a f***g person are you?" I answered her back "What kind of a f****g professional you are" and we backed away. She -The Pink haired girl - then came along with 2 other employee girls and pushed me physically and I pushed her back, while 3 of her girlfriends stood next to her. At that point, another girl came from behind the other girl and shouted "Nobody touches my sister" and punched my face and caused me the gashes seen in the photos. We asked the security guard to call the police. The police came about 10 minutes later around 6:15-6:25 and took a report from me and from them. Per the police officers, they also looked at the video cameras, and based on that the officers decided to arrest the Pink Haired girl and the One that punched my face ( she was also the one who took our order) and walked them away handcuffed. Per the Police, the manager on site ( A Blond girl ) refused to cooperate with them, We then went to the precinct where an ambulance met us to check me out. We then went home. It is astonishing that you keep such brut and unprofessional employees representing your brand

Yelp
Iced Matcha Latte is not too sweet and paired with oat milk brings out a nutty flavor. Pretty good quality. The area could be a little more clean, but there's a nice outdoor area nearby (outside Sweetgreen) you can bring your drink to.
google avatar

Francine L.

Yelp
Located inside Hudson Yards this Blue Bottle Coffee store is one of the busiest I have seen. I came here during a weekday and it still had a line that was pretty long. I had ordered a winter latte with almond milk but the host said that almond milk was an extra charge and that if I substitute it with oat milk it would be no charge. So instead of getting it with almond milk I decided to get it with oat milk. My drink came out about 10 minutes after I had ordered it and it tasted pretty good. I do enjoy that they have dairy free options. Glad that the host told me about the oat milk! I would totally come back here to try other drink options too. They have some comfortable seats and also a standing area where you can sip your drink at. It is a little small but overall I thought the look was really pretty.

Yelp
TLDR: quick coffee while checking out the Vessel. ___ I'm a fan of Blue Bottle and I always get them when I'm in SF. In search for a quick coffee while checking out the vessel, I saw this was nearby. There was a long line but I was surprised how Quick the staff was. They were also super friendly. It's Pricy. But it's quality coffee in a convenient location. It's expected. I got an iced Cafe mocha. It was perfect. Bitter sweet. Strong. Delicious. Drank it while I walked around the Yards. This location is Up stairs on second floor.
google avatar

Kathy K.

Yelp
Located on the second floor of the Shoppes at Hudson Yards, they have nice scenic views. I ordered the hot herbal mint tea with oat milk and enjoyed it on this cold day. They are very busy since everything is made fresh.
google avatar

Kevin Z.

Yelp
Long lines but the coffee tasted fresh. Not too expensive, either. Standard NYC prices. If you aren't a coffee enthusiast (I am not), then it's pretty enjoyable.
google avatar

Yelp
First time at Hudson Yards and I see there is a HELLA long line at Blue Bottle Coffee. Holy Moley... My question is why? Blue Bottle (My favorite coffee) are all over NYC, there is no reason to have this place slammed. Maybe the initial opening of Hudson Yards and The Vessel had the tourists out in drones. My wife and I walked from 14th st on the High Line. We went to Hudson Yards and saw *No Line* as the escualtor reached the 1st floor. Now its on. Wifee is not feeling the chicory in the New Orleans iced coffee. That's ok, she doesn't eat mayo or doughnuts either. More for me. I think I sauntered up to the counter??? One New Orleans Iced Coffee please. I'm given a biodegradable straw, Nice Blue Bottle, nice. Blue Bottle, You rock!

Tim O.

Yelp
can't get it together. the employees can't get to work on time and don't care. poor operation.
google avatar

Tiffany F.

Yelp
TL;DR Consistently great coffee, simple & clean coffee shop, pricey drinks Blue Bottle drinks are on the pricier side, for example, a cafe mocha (my favorite) w/ almond milk is $6.50 in the Bay Area but here it is $7 for a small-to-medium-sized cup...so cost to quantity ratio is bad, unfortunately. However, the taste of the coffee is smooth, not overly sweet, and consistently good. I've had pleasant experiences at Blue Bottle (this location & others). My favorite drinks are the cafe mocha, cafe latte, and the honey acacia latte. I really liked how they served my drink HOT HOT in this cold weather... Customer service: Servers/cashiers were attentive and friendly. Location: This is located within Hudson Yards on the 3rd level but when you enter The Shops from the main entrance, you're already on the 2nd level...so just turn right and take the escalators up one floor and Blue Bottle should be right there. B/c of how they sectioned off the line for the escalator, the line for Blue Bottle is a little congested, and the space to stand around to wait for your drink is reduced.
google avatar

Jeongmin H.

Yelp
Good drinks, good service, good location. Liked how they had a separate seating area to relax a bit.
google avatar

Scott H.

Yelp
My first full cup of iced cold brew. coffee is excellent at the service is fast and friendly. Great little sitting area with a view on to Hudson yard. Immaculately clean and everyone carefully observing covid-19 safety.
google avatar

Melody L.

Yelp
Charged me 10 bucks for a "ham and cheese croissant" when they put slices of quiche inside. Absolutely ridiculous and they told me this was a ham and cheese croissant.
google avatar

Jared P.

Yelp
The service of this particular Blue Bottle was fantastic. A nice barista, speedy matcha making. However, the matcha was absolutely disgusting and tasted like distilled water mixed with milk. I'm aware Blue Bottle's strong suit is coffee, but for the price that this matcha was and the highly regarded quality of the chain, I expected more from an iced matcha. Though, I still remain faithful to the rest of their menu.
google avatar

Mariam A.

Yelp
One of my fav blue bottle locations in nyc. I love that fact that it's right outside of the vessel. Blue bottle coffee never disappoints it's minimalist and simplicity is what makes coffee so great.
google avatar

Chris T.

Yelp
Got a dark roast and a latte. Both were excellent, as in "Wow, this is really good coffee!" Who says that? At the top of the escalator in the mall, it's open and situated among large windows overlooking a small plaza. Drinks only come in one size. They have pastries as well, though I didn't try them
google avatar

Keshav P.

Yelp
The food was good and the coffee was nice but our hot chocolate was cold and we were a little disappointed. It is a nice place to work and study. The food was a little pricey but it was fine.
google avatar

Roxanne O.

Yelp
I ordered a decaf almond milk latte, for here. It took quite awhile for the barista to make it, I'm not sure why as she started right away. She also made it in a to go cup but offered to pour it into a mug, which kind of defeated the purpose of ordering a latte for the latte art so I declined. The latte art was a little weak though. But the coffee was quite good, very smooth and velvety.
google avatar

Wedge N.

Yelp
Too hip. Too austere. Seats look cool but are not ergonomic making comfort impossible. The limited menu includes some of the most acidic coffee experienced by this reviewer in NYC. It seems the appearance (looking good) is more important than serving good coffee or keeping a clean dining area.
google avatar

Kevin H.

Yelp
Amazing coffees. The aroma is just better than other mainstream coffee shops. Their cold brew is one of the best in the area. Most potent cold brew, the large size is very good value consider many can or bottled cold brews goes for around the same price but you can have a 16oz large. Flavor is very intense. The only thing they need is more variety creams and sugars.
google avatar

Jerry H.

Yelp
Tried Blue Bottle for the first time here! Had seen it in some spots across California but funny enough had never ventured to try it until now. Overall, very pricey but good quality coffee/tea made here. I wasn't feeling the caffeine at the time, so I tried a hojicha tea, which was delicious and perfectly brewed with a nutty flavor. I can see how the quality of the drinks would demand a higher price, but Blue Bottle is still a little too pricey for comfort for me to want to frequent regularly.
google avatar

Arianna R.

Yelp
i'm visiting new york and decided to get some coffee. the almond croissant was really yummy and flaky. i also got a shakarato and it was super good. but the service was really bad because the worker taking our order was very unfriendly and rude, so it ruined the experience of enjoying my good coffee.
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
If you are near Jacob Javitz center this is probably the best place to grab a quality coffee. Especially if you are on your way to the MegaBus it's the last sane stop before all of the low quality food carts. I didn't have time to grab any victuals but it's a plan on my next jaunt to the area. The coffee was great and they had stevia sweetener which is always a win for me!

William S.

Yelp
$5 iced tea is luke warm under steeped tea poured over ice, which completely melted immediately. Unacceptable for the price
google avatar

Su C.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of blue bottle's mocha and hot chocolate. I like that after taste of mocha. I was glad to hear that they opened at Hudson Yards. It was small and at the corner of 2nd floor overlooking the entrance to the highline. View is great, there aren't that many tables but surprisingly Hudson Yards itself wasn't too busy on a Friday night anyway. Staffs here are courteous, menu items are a bit expensive as it's the Blue Bottle!, but I like their coffee. I love the little mini brownies and dark chocolate they sell. They go really well with regular latte or coffee.
google avatar

Yelp
Located inside the shops at Hudson Yard - convenient for grabbing a coffee or a quick bite when shopping / walking around the area. A bit on the pricier side but the quality is OK.
