"Coffee snobs of Chicago, we give you two Blue Bottles. There’s one at Wolf Point Plaza on the river and another newer location in the Tribune Tower. This is a much-hyped coffee chain from the Bay Area with a focus on pour-over coffee, so seek them out when high-maintenance caffeine is the only thing that’ll help you be your most productive self. The Wolf Point location has other coffee drinks (like the chicory-heavy iced NOLA) and a few pastries, but the real draw is a large patio overlooking the river. Inside, there’s plenty of seating spread out across multiple rooms, wifi, and a quiet jazzy soundtrack to help make drafting your mid-year SMART goals more tolerable." - adrian kane, john ringor, veda kilaru

The Guava danish was by far my most favorite baked good here! I ordered a single origin iced espresso and new seasonal Nola. The lady was patient in telling us information about our coffee so we could decide what we wanted. We came on a Saturday morning and it was surprisingly quiet lol but no complaints

Blue Bottle Coffee is one of my favorite spots in California, and the San Diego location doesn’t disappoint. The iced Nola with oat milk remains a top choice, offering a smooth and well-balanced flavor. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the location is convenient, making it an easy stop. The service is also a highlight; the staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Definitely a great place to enjoy a good cup of coffee.

This is my third pour over coffee place in town and it was the best so far. Coffee had great flavor. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Avocado toast was really good. It all seemed fresh.

Cute little downtown coffee shop. I tried samples of the Iced NOLA and the Winter NOLA - both had rich & deep coffee flavor. The barista was super sweet, the interior was so clean and lots of seating available on the Monday morning that I went. Would recommend!

Was really disappointed in my experience - at this point I expect to pay $7+ for a specialty latte so price point is higher but not surprising. What was surprising is how inattentive the workers seem to be - it look me 10 min waiting in line to order with 1 person in front of me, when I asked for the restroom code the workers were extremely impolite in giving it to me, and when I asked to use an outlet to quickly charge my dead phone before I left they let me know under no circumstances are customers allowed to use the outlets. The coffee and tea cake I had were actually very good but the service and customer experience really need to be worked on.

I’ve been a blue Bottle fan since I first had it in NYC. Their iced New Orleans style chicory coffee is the best. Such an amazing flavor and it’s hard to find outside of NOLA. The staff was friendly here, Space was well lit and clean. Easy to find right off the street. We were here on a Sunday early evening so it was relatively empty. We also got a couple of hot lattes which were great as well. I also love the fact that they have serve yourself water with actual glasses available to guests sitting in the space.

Great coffee shop downtown. Super clean and simple inside. Delicious food and coffee. I had a cold brew and egg bites (both fantastic) and my wife had a sweet Latte with oak milk and liege waffle (both also fantastic). Oat milk is standard here.
