Wonderful taste for coffee, unique taste and smell for ones that are very used to starbucks, a much better alternative to regulars., doesn't have a proper place to dine in but there are a couple of benches outside., its in a very smaller street so park on the near by roadside (have decent paid parking spots).

Their first brick and mortar location! They are becoming famous in Japan among coffee enthusiasts (I’m not one of them) and I went there so that I have something to talk about. Didn’t know much about them but their coffee was delicious!! I had winter blend, my friend got Nola or spiced nola. Both were surprisingly good, no wonder they are popular!

Cute kiosk spot but, as with all their locations recently, expect a long wait after ordering. At $6.25 (plus tip) for a capp, I’d expect more consistency in the quality. Both the shot & milk have both been mid on recent visits.

I wish they had one of these in Minnesota. I’m visiting SF for a few days and this place was highly recommended by a friend. Being a huge coffee lover, I was in love with this place by just looking at the menu, I was so confused what I should start my order with. Settled for a good old cup of dark roast drip coffee, it was delicious. I’ll be visiting a few more time before I leave the town and hope they open a few in MN.

I love this little neighborhood blue bottle. It gives hole in the wall vibes but every time I've gone I've had incredible coffee and the staff is super friendly and kind. I love the seasonal drinks! The cardamom coffee and the winter latte are my favorites. I recently got the winter latte with oat milk which is perfect and fragrant without any overwhelming flavors!

Yummy mocha with a distinct chocolate flavor! Barista was kind and friendly. I had a pleasant interaction with him which was much needed on a scorching hot day.

Best coffee chain, hands down. Pleasant staff at every location I've been to, however, Hayes Valley is my go-to for the more rustic neighborhood vibe. I recommend their iced Nola with Almond milk, it's delicious.

Dropped by for a quick coffee. Blue bottle never really disappoints. Got the Winter NOLA to get in the holiday season spirit. It's a nice drink, but a bit too milky for me. It's definitely chocolatey but would've loved to taste the coffee as well. Still, a good drink experience. Quick service and a great pick me up.

Absolute cutest location in the alley. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about thier coffee, and always make great recommdations. Blue bottle is my favorite coffee in the city. The coffee is super smooth and creamy, and the nola- delicious!

Came here pre-pandemic and also again recently--I'd forgotten how much I enjoy this location! It's located in a garage in a cute, aesthetic alley in Hayes Valley. I like their Sweet Latte. Friends enjoyed their almond iced latte and cold brews. They also have good sweet goods and pastries. There's no seating but there are a few outdoor benches in the alley you'll snag if you're lucky (otherwise, take your caffeine and head to Patricia's Green nearby!)

The OG Blue Bottle in SF. Still operating out of a garage but don't let the modest digs fool you. They make the highest quality coffee and espresso drinks around. I've never had a bad experience here nor do I plan to.

The sweet lady that helped us was awfully kind and helpful. Our order came out so quickly and at the perfect temperature. The only reason for not giving the full 5 stars was due to the fact that I didn't realize how hidden this spot was. I walked by it a couple of times before realizing it was such a small operation. I'm used to their bigger locations and was unaware that it's more of a pick up and go deal. Other than that, it was lovely.

Sour coffee with not much complexity. Way overpriced. I don't care for their coffee. But that's just me.

The Gibraltar from the Linden Street location is the best coffee I've had. And that's saying a very lot. The beverage perfectly balances the sweetness of oat milk against the fruity acidity and bitterness of the espresso. The twist on a cappuccino is served at a perfect warm but not hot temperature for savoring all the flavors on offer. Being friendly to lactose intolerants and vegans is a plus, too. I only wish I'd had the chance to try it with the Three Africas blend, which has the best profile of any coffee I've experienced. The shop itself is tucked on a beautiful alley right next to some lovely parks and window shopping options. The service is fast, and because of the outdoor locale, the noise from the coffee grinder etc is less disruptive than in a more traditional café setting. I highly recommend both blue bottle and this location specifically.

Made a quick stop here for an afternoon pick-me-up. I got the very expensive large iced matcha latte with oat milk ($7.50) and it was really yummy, but I'm not certain it was worth the cost. My friends got coffee and a hot matcha latte. Apparently the "hot" matcha latte was only lukewarm, so my friend wasn't as happy with her drink as I was with mine. And she said about a third of the cup was froth! Disappointing for her since it was $6.50! My other friend got a regular coffee and was happy with hers.

Blue Bottle lost me a bit when I found out they were valued at 700 something MILLION dollars with Nestle as a major stakeholder. It was rare for me to visit in the last 5 years, until I started working 3 blocks away. The New Orleans Iced Coffee is as good as ever. Ready in 10 seconds and finished by me in another 10 seconds. The reason I give 5 stars is that the service is great. One of the baristas (I don't know your name yet if you're reading this) recognized me from one visit to Cotopaxi and immediately chatted me up. Really makes the neighborhood feel like a second home. I'll be back at least once a week and I hope to meet the whole team.

This blue bottle coffee is very good. Actually excellent. This location was down some hidden alley in San Francisco. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere felt like a pop up coffee but the location has to be seen to believe. Support local support Blue Bottle Coffee.

Love Blue Bottle! Ordered via DoorDash and got the Matcha Latte, New Orleans Style Ice Coffee, and the Pound Cake (Lemon & Poppy Seed flavor - you can't specify flavor in the app unfortunately). It's a bit pricey but that's price you pay as its brand has grown so much. The Matcha Latte was really grainy, the matcha powder was not fully incorporated in the drink, but at least the flavor was somewhat there. The New Orleans style Iced Coffee is their classic and they nail it every time I get it- perfectly creamy and strong coffee without giving me the jitters. The pound cake was crumbly and dense.

Blue Bottle serves the best pour-over coffee in the world! I've always been a fan of some of the fancier coffees, lattes, espresso, etc... but this drip coffee is the best coffee in the entire world. Get the cold brew to go

I work around this area and they have really great coffee and the menu changes a lot by season. I remember I got a Chai Latte, and Matcha Tea Latte. They are a hole in the wall so it's hard to find but make sure when you walk to the park, make a left in the alley way and it'll be on your right hand side. Service is super sick as well really cool folks who work there.

This original BB location will always hold a special place in my heart. Although it doesn't feel the same as it did originally here (BB sold to a big corporation- Nestle) and so many familiar faces don't work here anymore, it still draws me in when I'm nearby. It has a nostalgic smell for me that reminds me of my early days of moving to SF. Today I grabbed a Yuzu Fizz since it's a little later in the afternoon for a coffee for me and it's always a great treat.

Great little coffee kiosk in an artsy alley in Hayes Valley. Good coffee as always and very efficient. I like that they also have little dog treats for the little ones.

Funny thing is the barista accidently made me two drinks and ended up letting me keep both. I make my boyfriend drink the other one, although he is not a fan of coffee at all. BLUF: Blue Bottle Coffee has a special place in my heart. It is one of my favorite coffee chain on the East Coast for a very long time. I would recommend the New Orleans if you enjoy cold coffee, it is one of their classic. Blue Bottle usually nail all of their coffee drinks, so please visit if you are in the area, especially if you never tried it before.

Parking in Hayes Valley is awful but I usually go on a Sunday and park a few blocks away. There is no seating at this Blue Bottle location but there are some rocks across the street that I have seen people sit on and a bar you can stand at. Service is quick even when they are busy. I loved the iced or hot sweet latte with regular cow milk. So delicious! Blue Bottle coffee is some of the best but it is also quite pricey. They have a few pastries but no other breakfast options. This spot is just cute and it makes me happy.

There's no shortage of good coffee in SF, but Blue Bottle still remains my go-to, old-reliable spot in SF. I fell in love with the woody, floral-tasting New Orleans style a long time ago. In current times, this might be over-taken by the oh-so-smooth Muscovado Sugar Latte for the top spot. If you're feeling something that isn't coffee, go for the hojicha latte. The earthy tea flavor really comes through. Be back soon Blue Bottle!

One of my favorite places to get an iced matcha latte! Service and quality is always great. No matter which location you go to, the drinks are always great quality. My go to order is an iced matcha latte with oat milk and get it light sweetened. I sometimes get a chocolate croissant with it and it is very flaky and fresh!

While visiting SF, I was so looking forward to try the coffee at the store after I heard so much about it. My measurement of good coffee to me is if I could drink it black. Well, the ambiance was cute but my taste bud did not enjoy the simple black coffee. I went to another place down the street for the rest of my stay.

I've been waiting to try this coffee and had the chance today where there wasn't a huge line. They make everything to order. No brewed coffee, just pour overs and other drinks. I had a latte that was decent. I don't know if I would go back because it is pretty pricey.

Blue Bottle is a name that any coffee enthusiast knows. It's so hard for me to pass the opportunity to get Blue Bottle when I know it's available. Lucky for me, my new job is very close by to this location so it makes for a perfect treat when I visit the office once a week. My go-to order: 12 oz New Orleans style iced coffee with old milk (will add a waffle if I decide to treat myself) I usually go for 16 oz iced coffees/lattes, but the 12 oz Nola is more than enough for me. It's strong and smooth, and the oat milk adds the right amount of creaminess and a subtle hint of natural sweetness that doesn't take away from the cold brew. Weekday mornings at this location don't seem too hectic. The line usually doesn't get any longer than 2 people!

If you are on foot, have your dog and it's a glorious day in HV, this is a convenient way to walk up get your latte and snack and head to the park to enjoy. There's tons of coffee spots at the park and around but frankly I spied a dozen folks sporting the brown paper cup with the blue bottle on it walking, chilling, hanging. Great way to start the day!

Used to love this Blue Bottle Location up until about a month ago. The company fired the entire staff (a kind and friendly group) and hired a new staff that needs much training. The entire neighborhood has noticed this change and has since been taking their business to more ethical neighborhood establishments.

I've been sipping lattes throughout the city to try and find my favorite in SF. Blue Bottle's latte is really up there on my list. It wasn't too acidic and left me with a bit of a pucker that I like with my coffee. The latte was not too sweet but at the same time not bitter. I think they balanced it out well. The coffee tasted like quality and I really want to get it again. I definitely recommend Blue Bottle, even if it means you have to drive a bit to get to one of their locations. It'll be worth the drive to try it out. They also sell bottles of their cold brew and other concentrates so you can take it home and not have to come in every time. The staff was nice and the service was really quick too.

Love their lattes. Great location to drink them near the park. Friendly staff. Quick service. Minus one star because (a) their default tip of $1 for an already expensive latte seems high and they removed the option for no tip in the app recently. Just raise your price if you can't pay your workers well otherwise, but this isn't a sit down service. And (b), a lot of homeless camp right next to it. Quite a few have been very exposed and gross.

I'm a very simple coffee person. Not a sophisticated person in general, so I just wanted a regular coffee that I get everywhere else. I randomly walked in working nearby and didn't think it was going to be this expensive, so maybe I shouldn't have gone here since it's not my kind of environment. I don't know what to say but I can't tell the difference with other coffee shops? It wasn't bad at all but it was ok/good. I guess 3.5/5 would be my fair rating.

Great (actually near perfect) coffee in a wonderful walk-up location. The line moves fast, the service is friendly, and the orders come out quick.

I always get the New Orleans iced coffee with oat milk. It's my go to drink for years and even to this day every time I take a sip, I think to myself "damn this is good." The oat milk makes a big difference. Other Blue Bottle locations offer the Belgian waffle which is also a favorite of mine but this location doesn't have it, so I opt for the everything pull apart croissant. Not only is the croissant delicious, but the pull apart concept makes it fun to eat.

Wow so Blue Bottle used to be so good like 4 years ago. Now it is over rated, over priced, and no longer good quality. The New Orleans style iced coffee used to be sweet and creamy and had a warm complex nutty flavor, now it tastes like the beans were over roasted and the cold brew now just tastes like regular iced coffee, kinda acidic and lingers on the back of your tongue in an unpleasant sour way. It cost 5.20 for a SMALL. Yes I know the income of San Francisco dwellers is 104k to not be considered low income household but the audacity still astounds me. I would say skip it, based on flavor, cost, and pretentious branding. Employees are cool at this location tho, but I feel like it's a mixed bag in general. I can get a coffee this mediocre anywhere smh

I love the location at Santana Row! Perfect to get a delicious coffee in the morning. I love their overnight chia oats. It has pineapple cherries and the coconut yogurt is awesome! My bf likes the everything croissant. I like to try their seasonal drink and if I'm at the Row on an evening I always try to make it over before closing for a yummy affogato.

They have the best matcha and the new orleans style coffee!! Only complaint, is they use oatly. Oatly has so many added oils and gums that are AWFUL for you!! so so bad and there are so many better milk alternative brands.

I donno if i want to recommend this place. I started out trying it once because it was in the area, and now i keep buying their coffee beans online in their store, its really addictive because of how good it is. It is 100x better than star bucks and 10x better than most other coffee shops. They have a ton of different beans with different flavors and aromas. I bought a gift set for my dad after his petes was running late and now he orders from them too! =O

Big shout out to Master Barista Carlos and friends at the BB kiosk. We're coming from across the bridge (Fairfax) just for those excellent mochas. So worth it! Nobody can touch the Kiosk....Mike & Andrea

Cool alley location! Located between Hayes St & Fell. Lots of parking on the side streets, but not so much directly in front of the shop. Tasty pastry selection. There were 3 friendly staff today. It's busy here, but they work fast to get people their orders. No seating, so be ready to get your thangs and go!!

Came by for coffee the other day and was surprised that this was merely a take out joint! Blue Bottle is one of my favorite coffee shops in the city! There was a line of ~10 people at ~11 am on a Sunday morning. Staff was super helpful! Ordered the Mocha which came out perfect. Perfect temperature, chocolate wasn't too sweet and espresso was smooth! They also have TCHO chocolate bars here too! They take credit cards!

So I am in Hayes Valley again because I am going to the Main Library for some books. The library has all the books I need for this project. I decided to visit Blue Bottle for a stimulating cold brew. They had some syrup and half and half for it. The cold brew was a bit expensive and typical for coffee anyway. Blue Bottle has branding and experience. This spot is just a stand and there is no seating available. It's on Linden in a distant alley that is hard to find, but I wanted some Blue Bottle. It was my first purchase. There are other Blue Bottle shops in SF(mostly in FiDi). Blue Bottle is popular expensive. It's fun!

All around wonderful! The baked goods are to die for though, the tea cakes are my favorite! Pistachio one and it's seasonal but they had a rose and almond one before that, also amazing! But if that's not your vibe you have to Atleast try a blondie, you won't regret it!

me and my sister were out for a coffee date and she wears a hijab.she is very humble and kind and we were just on our way out when two men who were collecting trash walked by and laughed at her.they called her names and looked at her up and down as if she was a pig.after wards we decided to ignore it and go to our car and they come back and continue mocking her.and of course they go and take their trash can into the blue bottle store.pathetic men.

I start work in West Sacramento next month and so far everybody I've spoke to from the hiring managers To HR and even the people that contact you to do your I9 have all been very friendly and my walk through of the Hub was extremely promising. Iv worked many warehouse jobs but this one beats them all. I'm definitely looking forward to being part of the Blue Bottle Team!
