One of the best places in Washington D.C. to get a quick, strong and hot cup of coffee. There's always a long line but the service is very fast, you won't wait that long (5 to 7 mins, tops). The baked goods are a bit dry (maybe just skip it).

I purchased the best Iced Golden Cinnamon latte and I swear it is the best thing on earth. The staff at this location are so welcoming and friendly, I saw how they treated all other customers with respect as I was waiting for my order to be made. This experience has earned them a life long customer. I will always come back to this location to buy my iced lattes

Fresh coffee without the big store appeal. Enjoyed a great hot chocolate this morning from Blue Bottle Coffee. The establishment was clean, plenty of seating and various items on their menu. Staff were friendly and courteous, and helpful. One staff member even asked that I NOT put her on the Internet. Considering that she was in public with no expectation of privacy, I respected her wishes.

Great quality coffee but not the quickest service which is a factor of how busy they are considering its inside Union Station. I love that their coffee is blended with chicory giving it a great smoothness. For the South Indian coffee lovers, this is a must try for you! I got the Nola cold brew and really liked it. I went back the next day to grab the seasonal Nola which is with orange blossom. That was yumm too.

Ordered a dry cappuccino. Got a latte. Asked for the cappuccino I had ordered and got badly told by the barista that they microfoam and do not make dry cappuccino. The two baristas then proceeded to ridicule me among themselves and making disparaging comments when asked to make something else. Completely rude and bullying behavior.

Got the large iced nola and an almond croissant. Very friendly service and super quick. Plenty of spots to sit and enjoy while you wait for your train. Wish they had some hot food but there are some other options for that inside.

Convenient spot if you're waiting for a train at Union Station. Their iced chai with oatmilk (sidenote: the default here is oatmilk which is great for my lactose intolerant self) is good but a bit steep at $7 for a small 12oz. Service was quick and friendly though.

Coffee shop inside Union station Washington DC Took a winter single origin coffee. The coffee tasted nothing special and had to wait for a long time for a coffee. They should hire more experienced barista to be more efficient so that customers don't have to wait for a long time.

Good coffee & quick service. Salter Carmel brownie was so sweet and fudgy and the sea salt on top was perfect. Small seating area but great people watching here at Union Station.

$8 latte, very average quality coffee. but it's either this or Starbucks if you're at union station

Ordered through the app, took a little longer than expected but worth it. Coffee and cookie is great, unfortunately they didn't make any marks to differentiate the coffees and I had to ask for my cookie. Ambiance is beautiful because of the architecture in the train station

This was my first time at Blue Bottle Coffee. I decided to try it before getting on my train. I got the winter latte. It was a little light for my taste so I maybe should've gotten an extra shot of espresso. I didn't taste much of the winter flavors other than the pink peppercorn sprinkled on top which I did like a lot. Overall it took a little longer than expected for 1 drink as well, but I'd try blue bottle again if I ever cross it's path.

Their coffee tastes pretty decent. However, customer service is not the best at this location. I'm not speaking for all the staff members, but the employees I've encountered weren't friendly. My latte temperature turned out lukewarm, and I was displeased with the overall experience from my most recent visit.

Cutest coffee shop on Union Station! The barista was very helpful with all my questions as it was my first time there! Recommended the seasonal black cardamom latte and it was so delish! Small intimate coffee shop for passing through, seating in and around the station. Customer service is great and friendly! Definitely will be back!

They make good coffee libations and service is quick. Try the cardamom latte. Wonderful!

A large Matcha Latte is $10 it is alright nothing special for the price. Took 12 mins to get . Almost missed my train. Can't say the staff was over friendly and zero sense of urgency to be in a Train Station. I probably would not stop by here again before a train for the price and wait time it really isn't worth it.

- Hot nola drink - delicious!! Very nice creamy and foamy top. Slightly nutty, roast-y, and not too sweet at all. - Rosemary sweet potato danish - okay, just not for me though. - Caramelized onion Za'atar scone - delicious and savory; texture was perfect. Gotta love how Blue Bottle automatically includes oat milk (without a surcharge--or maybe it's included in the cost, but the prices at least are still not as high as other places that charge for oat milk substitute...).

We had coffee takeout and I got the cold americano decaf which tasted pretty decent. The service is pretty fast too. They offer quite a lot of aesthetically pleasing swag such as tote bag, tumbler, and coffee sachets packaged nicely which make them very ideal gifts.

Hot Nola (sweet, chicory-infused coffee with steamed milk) - it was delicate taste for coffee, however it had creamy flavor, and a hint of sweetness. Ordered with oat milk, and the best part about this, they don't charge extra for oat milk! Hit the spot for the travel! Rosemary potato danish - great flaky with butter filled with rosemary, potato slices and sautéed onion underneath. Overall it was delicious in the morning! Caramelized onion Za'atar scone - great bite but it was a little dry. Good choice for savory fix tho. The cashier and baristas were friendly and interactive with reasonable accommodations. Love that.

So surprisingly satisfied with this Blue Bottle location. Being in Union Station, everything has the potential to either go really bad or really well, especially considering how much time you have to get your coffee. The staff here were so incredibly friendly and efficient - the line was long, but they kept it moving, and they were super on-top of making everyone's drinks. We were stopping here before catching on train, but we had no worry about making our train on time. As always, such a great mocha - perfect for the travel day ahead of us. A great stop for your caffeine fix while at Union Station.

Worst Blue Bottle experience I ever had. I normally love my experience at Blue bottle, however, this one was the worst. I ordered a cold brew, which was not fresh, obviously sitting in that fridge for a while. I also ordered a baguette sandwich, which was over priced, dry, and salami so chewy it stuck in between my teeth. I needed to buy some dental floss to get the nasty things out of my system.

I was glad to see a Blue Bottle Coffee stand at Union Station, as it was a good option to get some caffeine before the trip. Located in the main concourse/entrance area, I had the Winter Spice Nola, which was BBC's New Orleans-style coffee an accent of star anise. You can opt to have this cold or hot, which I went for the latter. The drink was a bit watered down, and even though I did request mine to be extra hot, it was still just warm. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Excellent coffee (iced or hot) and I'm always pleasantly surprised to find a seat and cafe table available. They are a commodity! If you're headed to one of the Senate office buildings, this is a decent place to grab a coffee and snack before or after meetings and get some work done since Blue Bottle provides its own WiFi. I wouldn't recommend trying to make a phone call though since the high ceilings of the station echo every noise and it's always loud. If you are afraid of birds, you won't appreciate the resident sparrows that swoop around the ceiling and sometimes investigate around the tables. They won't directly bother you, but I know the idea of birds freaks out some people. Still, it's a great place for a small meetup and conversation with a colleague or peer.

Located in the Union Station, it's a better alternative to Starbucks. The coffee here isn't the greatest yet I still preferred doing this option over Starbucks. The black cardemom latte was my go to when I was here. Decent flavor but the textures were a bit off. Also price wise, it's not cheap these days based on the current economics. Pastries are served here as well plus they do several pour-over coffee beverages for those who like those. Most reviews I read raved about those so maybe that should've been my first option. It's a small station set up on the second floor when you enter the main entrance so it's hard to miss.

For the BEST iced coffee go to Blue Bottle Coffee and get their New Orleans Style Iced Coffee with Oat Milk -- it's pricy, but worth every penny

I travel a lot and this drink coffee and grab snacks all over the place - different airports, cities, train stations in the US and Europe. This was the worst coffee and almond croissant ever. The coffee was bitter and burned and the croissant was simply inedible. Nice people working there but terrible food and beverage - not stopping there the next time ai am in Union Station early in the morning.

Pretty good coffee, specialty coffee for east coast! But nothing crazy as far as specialty coffee goes, overpriced and not friendly though. Union station is cool to sit in but the service wasn't great

Blue Bottle Coffee at Union Station is a waiting area with mediocre coffee and small selection of pastries. They have a seating area in the large, central entrance to Union. I recommend the manager teach their baristas how to properly steam milk. Not only are they adding too much air to the upper layer, but they are pouring lattes instead of cappuccinos. The beans seemed dialed in, so that's a positive!

Eh, got a iced latte with some sort of chocolate flavouring, I can't remember. and it was okay. Expensive for what it was. It's in the middle of the Amtrak station and staff kind of just trying to survive all of the orders. Don't really understand the Blue Bottle hype after tasting their latte.

The prices are such ripoff! Very travelled to most expensive citied in the world and never paid 30 bucks for two small coffees and two croissants! And you line up for 30 mins and to go cups not a high tea at the Ritz With fine china. How do they sleep at night?

Blue Bottle is consistently good in their drink quality and service. No matter the location the service is friendly and quick. I always go with a Matcha Latte and it's perfect; not to sweet and just earthy enough. Their waffle is a must, they're so tasty and crispy!

Blue Bottle now (who knows how long already) has a new café in addition to the tucked-away Georgetown one. Though it's in the "Union Market" area, it's not in that big hall, like several other cafés, but rather in a self-contained space, like a "normal" coffee shop. The bad news? No internet (at least back then when I visited). But I really, really enjoyed the industrial ambience of the Union Market area in which this Blue Bottle is, when I was there--though likely that's now gone with the fast-marching-along gentrification that has swept over Union Market. There may however still be small remnants of its former titillating character.

Super cute little coffee shop nestled in between things at the Union Station train station in DC. The location is small but packed with flavor. The workers were quick and friendly and the coffee was seriously delicious.

Personally I think Blue Bottle is a bit overrated. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely a cute little cafe located in Union. Station which is really convenient. The coffee is alright. It was kinda bland and couldn't really taste the espresso.

Good coffee. Prep is painfully slow despite an assembly line with multiple people. Not a good model for a busy train station. Give yourself 15- 20 minutes if you want a coffee drink before you board.

Convenient coffee spot in the main concourse of Union Station (WAS). The wait in the morning gets long (~8 minutes) so pack your patience, but the coffee is always good and better than S-bux. Lots of milk alternatives for the lacto-free.

It's my first time trying this coffee brand and it's great! My cappuccino was made with love. It tasted creamy and frothy. Also, it gave me caffeine kick I needed to wake me up. I highly recommend this coffee spot.

Six dollars (plus tip) for a lukewarm 12 ounce pourover that took five minutes to produce... At least the employees are friendly.

Coffee was good but super overpriced. It was quite milky. I also think for $7 dollars they should fill the small cup. The location itself was small. The employees were nice!

Ok it's on me but 5:45 am I just want some regular ole American drip coffee. You know from a filter into a pot on a hot surface burner? Nope! This is that new age slowly free pour brew. Now this I know is an old traditional method before the percolator and Mr. Coffee. I'm sure some will enjoy it but it's not for me! In Panama I had Geisha coffee that I found delicious. I guess this coffee is supposed to be akin to Geisha, not in my mind or taste buds. The cashier was friendly and helpful, the store clean and organized, keep in mind it is 5:45 on a Sunday, it should be clean. The store signage for its name and prices was not easily located. Also the coffee is created opposite the cashier when you ask for drip coffee you may not expect this process. Several of the people trying to make their train didn't know as they attempted to rush the process. Although I ordered the coffee on the 'lighter' side I found it very strong with an extremely bitter back bite. The banana bread was pretty good moist and not overly sweet. My total $10++. The overly strong and priced coffee is what I tried to avoid at Starbucks but in retrospect I should have turned the corner to add another star to my card.

No seats today-it is Union Station So despite the expense, I do find myself returning often. Had to add a star for excellent, smooth and flavorful coffee. Especially the Winter Blend with chicory.

This place is in a great place in Union Station. They have a nice size sitting area where you can get some work done and watch people rush to catch their train or bus. The people working there really friendly and we got our coffee in a reasonable about of time considering the line. The sizes and a little small for the price but it tasted great.

This chain never makes me blue. They always have quality coffee and good snack selections. I got the oat latte and it was very good (smooth espresso, not too sweet oat milk). They had some nice little tables to sit and work which looked out on the station. Great place to swing by if you're waiting for a train/bus. Wish I could bottle this place up and bring their coffee with me everywhere!

This is my second visit at a Blue Bottle Coffee cafe. This experience was so much better than my first. I got the Iced Hojicha latte with whole milk. The flavor wasn't that strong and this actually changed my mind on coming to this cafe a little bit more! The reason why I've actually rated this cafe four stars was the service that was given. Since this coffee shop is in Union Station and I was studying there until they were closing. In most cases coffee shops will kick people out as soon as they close (which is something that I would have done from experience as well working in a coffee shop) but the employees had cleaned the inside store first and then asked us to leave! I was satisfied with the customer service that was given at this location and they were very friendly as well!

By far the best place to get coffee in Union Station. And the seating area is in the main hall which is just so grand and pretty.

I wanted to buy a present bag that was standung in their stand but the manager refused to sell it. The lady was rude and not service-oriented. Very dissapointing.

Friendly, open early, and have vegan options for breakfast. Very nice vegan overnight oats. The pastries looked amazing. Coffee is good and smooth. Great little early morning snack spot for your journey. Oh and their cups are compostable. Their doing their best to be sustainable and that's a big plus!

Coffee not so great! Over priced! Doesn't take cash and no sign that says that! Small sitting area overlooking the ugly side of the station.
