The coffee was good and the service was quick. It was a busy morning for them so in a rush they put my coffee in the paper cup. I don’t like the plasticy taste off coffee from the paper cup but it was too late so if you are like me it would be good to tell them that you want it in a mug before ordering. Otherwise atmosphere was great not super loud and the shaded outdoor area is nice

Come relax with a delicious, consistent, cup of coffee done right. Blue Copper has indoor, bar, and outdoor sitting. Delectable pastries that pair perfectly with your Joe. The baristas are well educated in different combinations and work efficiently. There’s also unique small batch coffees brewed every morning. Milk alternatives are also available. We purchased a mocha, cortado, lemon poppy seed cake, cinnamon cake, and a small brew black. Parking is limited but, worth it.

Google
Staff are friendly and the coffee (cortado) is good. Visiting here from San Francisco and end up bringing the bean they roasted home. Definitely worth a visit here.

Google
My favorite little coffee shop in slc, I genuinely think their coffee is amazing and I love the house made syrups!! Kind of a hidden gem bc even though it is small it’s never overly crowded!

Google
Came in here to grab some coffees for me and my friends. For a chilly Saturday morning I wasn’t too surprised to see how busy they were peddling lattes and coffees. The space was a bit tight and overwhelmingly congested. Nonetheless, there’s a nice industrious atmosphere with seating arrangements to promote social interactions, collaborative working, or simply enjoying a nice latte. For coffee options I was impressed by the variety of roasts they have available and if you’re into the fancy drinks they seemed to have very talented baristas. Unfortunately, they don’t offer pour overs but the fact they had three different drip options made up for this. The roasts were very unique and I look forward to coming back here in the future

Google
Such a great Third Wave style coffee shop in Salt Lake City. Super sweet vibe with a great piano art piece. Knowledgeable and friendly Baristas. Americano and Latte on point... and the Cookies were off the chain! So good! If you’re looking for a cozy laid back environment this is a great place that also has some nice outdoors hangs.

Google
It's a truly cool little coffeeshop with an amazing ambiance! I just attempted their best seller coffee, and I really really love it. It's kinda extravagant so it was unique in relation to what I was utilized to. Yet, it was acceptable. I do wish there were more outlets however it's not so much their deficiency. The structure is quite little. Additionally the stopping here is huge for such a little spot. So finding a spot was no issue by any stretch of the imagination:)

Google
One of my favorite stops for a latte. The staff are always friendly but they are also really skilled baristas. The coffee is great and there’s no bitterness in their espresso blend. I love the pastries too. All great portions and really stand out flavors. The ginger cookie is great but the chocolate chip is really nice as well.

Yelp
A nice little joint with a decent menu, not too small and not too overwhelming. Food selection is mostly sweets, unless I missed other options I think there was only one savory option. I got an iced latte with brown sugar and a hint of hazelnut. I mentioned I like caramel flavors but they don't have caramel as an option. Also got a curry potato pasty. They warm it up for you and takes a few minute. Flavor was pretty solid. It was my first time here and I didn't know what to get. The barista was very kind and patient to make some recommendations. Inside has three tables (2 chairs each), a small couch, some seats at the bar and a longer table on the middle with seats on either side. There's some outside area which is probably nice to enjoy on warmer days. I went on a weekday afternoon and there was plenty of free 2 hour street parking.

Yelp
Trendy coffee shop on 9th down the block from the Central 9th Market. One of the first things I noticed about Blue Copper Coffee Room was the shaded patio with lots of different seating. Plenty of room for you and your furry friend! Seating inside is quite limited so it will be easier to sip coffee here in the warmer months when the patio is open. Their menu stays true to coffee classics and sizing, so you won't find specialty coffees or flavors. I heard their cappuccino is one of the most popular in the city, so I'll definitely have to try it next time. The baristas were quick and quiet. No long wait to get your drink, however the lack of space in the shop itself makes it a bit uncomfy waiting in line. I'm sure the colder weather will make that even trickier.

Yelp
Was recommended this place by some friends as they said it is one of their fav places. It was good, but nothin special in my opinion. They were out of stevia and don't offer any sugar free syrups, so that was a little disappointing. They do however make all of their syrups in house. The coffee was yummy and hit the spot. It is very cute inside and the workers were nice!

Yelp
Blue Copper Coffee Room is a nice little coffee shop that I stopped by in the morning around 9:00 AM. Upon arriving, there wasn't anyone waiting in line, so I got to order right away. It only took 2-3 minutes to get my order. I decided to get an iced macchiato with oat milk and a little bit of vanilla syrup. This drink was good! There were plenty of inside seating with A/C and a few seating outside.
google avatar

Yelp
The best London Fog I have ever had. There is something special about this drink here - we don't live anywhere nearby, but anytime we're in Salt Lake City, stopping by for an Iced London Fog is a must. Perfect sweetness and surprisingly remind me of Froot Loops. Cute little shop. Nice to sit down either inside or outside. Definitely stop by if you want an incredible London Fog.

Yelp
Best beans in Salt Lake City!! It's a bold statement to make but it's true after trying many other very good coffee shops here, this one is my go to! Not only are the lattes and brewed coffee at the store always perfect, their beans for at home brewing are the main reason why the place is the best. I've consistently buy their coffee every month for the past 2 years. I've tried other great places nearby but their beans aren't nearly as good. The taste and consistent quality no matter which variety you buy at Blue Copper makes me excited to come back and try something new. Staff at both locations are always super chill and welcoming!!! Definitely the best place in SLC hands down!

Yelp
I'm honestly baffled by the reviews... Maybe I came on an off day?? The house blend coffee was ok...nothing stellar. I normally read reviews to see what is suggested to order before doing so, and I didn't this time... So maybe I'll give the cappuccino or something else a shot especially since that's my normal order anyways and I'll update if that's majorly different. I did also get a curry pasty and it was a little dry and super light on the curry flavor. Crust was amazing, though! The baristas were friendly enough, I guess, but we're talking like the bare minimum. And I get it...I don't need super bubbly or anything...you can be super introverted and still give friendly customer service. This just felt...cold & sterile. I need to sit and get some work done, so I'll likely order again before leaving and update if I do...but this isn't making my top 5 SLC coffee list...

Yelp
This is a very comfortable spot. It has an outdoor hangout area, which feels a lot like a city park. I'll be in a small one. There's something real straightforward about the service here. Nobody talks too much to me and they're not ambivalent either. I love that the coffee is smooth. This is my second time here and it might become my new Neighbourhood coffee place. I really dig it.
google avatar

Andrea Y.

Yelp
Cozy place with a nice interior and exterior seating. The coffees were good as you'd expect from an excellent coffee shop and the service was great.
google avatar

Jeanne G.

Yelp
Super friendly staff, I really enjoyed striking up a conversation with them and watch them interact with the guests. The espresso shot was balanced and smooth, and the milk had a soft creamy taste. Very well done--I would make this a regular stop for me if I lived here!
google avatar

Yelp
I walked here after stopping at another coffee place that had a huge wait at 9:30 am and I'm glad I did. Scene: it's a small shop that has some individual tables and a family style seating table. It's situated west of Central 9th which has some great little business popping up. I had a something full of caffeine and it was wonderful. I also treated myself to the marble coffee cake. It was hands down the best coffee cake I've ever had. It was moist, perfectly dense, and the cinnamon oat topping was the perfect comforting, sweet addition. I'm still thinking about it. I really like this place and I live that it's a short walk from my house. I'll definitely be back and being friends with me.

Yelp
Nice little coffee shop on a Saturday morning. Ordered the mocha latte and it was spot on. Right amount of frothiness and good ratio of milk to expresso. It was busy inside but we somehow managed to find three seats. They are dog friendly! Someone brought two dogs in, both well behaved and the girl at the cashier threw them some treats. Being animal friendly (specifically doggos) is ALWAYS a plus.

Yelp
My husband and I started talking about our favorite cappuccino in salt lake, turns out we had both been here independently and both thought it was the best we've had in the area. I wish they had more locations - especially downtown where I work :)
google avatar

Lico J.

Yelp
A hip coffee shop in a nice neighborhood. Baristas are friendly. We got a latte and a cold brew. The latte was finished beautifully and tasted warm, smooth and strong. The cold brew didn't taste too strong but not bland, either. The body was light. Pretty refreshing. We recommend this coffee shop if you are in the area.
google avatar

Aundya A.

Yelp
Love returning to Blue Copper every time I'm back in Salt Lake City. I really enjoy their cold brew and buy beans every time I visit.
google avatar

Isaac R.

Yelp
This is such a cool coffee place. Whenever I tried a new coffee shop, I always tried their cold brew, and if it's good, I know their coffee options would be good. Well, this place has good cold brew. The downside is that they close too early, but oh well.
google avatar

Mitchell B.

Yelp
Blue Copper went from a like, to a love, to it being a staple in our home. We come for the coffee several times a week, and use their Redacted blend for our home espresso machine. Staff is wonderful, and their coffee is consistently good. Small, quaint, space. I would say I'll be back, but the team already knows that. Cheers!
google avatar

Yelp
Incredible coffee. Great atmosphere. Cold brew that actually tastes like something. Definitely worth the walk to check out.

Yelp
LOVED this place. Cute little spot with nice indoor and outdoor seating. Cozy but still so open and fresh. The barista was new and still made a kick ass recommendation. I got an iced matcha that was pretty good but the real star was the cortado I got with an espresso from Burundi . It was so fruity with such a nice bright acidity yet also chocolatey with an incredible balance. Also not at all overpowering in such a small drink, just the right amount of punch. Easily one of the best coffees I've had. Solid roast.
google avatar

Eliicia V.

Yelp
This coffee shop is cute! I love it. It's pretty small inside so not much room for a lot of people to sit down and relax. I ordered an iced matcha latte with vanilla and it was good. I would come here again.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
We had ordered food at the Central 9th Market and since it's takeout only we went to the Blue Copper and ordered drinks to hang out and eat and drink. I had an espresso soda and my friend had a cappuccino which had lovely, nicely done latte art design. Our drinks were good and it was a nice place to spend time.
google avatar

Victor W.

Yelp
Low key wasn't expecting much. But cool vibes, good service, decent seating, nice decor made this shop enjoyable. We got a honey latte and it was great!! Tasted really good with a good mix of coffee and milk. Would definitely come back. Little hard to find parking.
google avatar

Selena Y.

Yelp
Great, smooth coffee, which I enjoyed while catching up with some friends. The drink menu is pretty straightforward and the staff is wonderfully friendly. There's construction going on around the building right now, but rest assured, they're still open!

Laura N.

Yelp
I have heard amazing things about this place, so I was so excited to finally try it. Decent cup of coffee, but a bit cramped for space. Some staff were really not welcoming, others were very kind and attentive. I will definitely be going back to get a better read!
google avatar

Dillon L.

Yelp
I love visiting local roasters whenever I can and Blue Copper has some solid reviews, and for good reason. The coffee here is solid. I ordered a cortado, my espresso drink of choice, and it was relatively smooth and creamy. I'd rank it as one of the better cortados that I've had and would gladly order it again next time. The coffee is only part of the allure of visiting a coffee shop, though, or at least for me it is. While the coffee was inviting, the shop experience was less than, if I'm being honest. Sure, the space is small and there isn't much they can do about that, but it lacked a certain sense of warmth and welcome. The bathroom oddly has a passcode on it, which is fine, but gives me the vibe that you don't want me to use it. Also, I only saw after ordering that they have different bean options for espresso. I wish the barista had asked which one I wanted. So if you're just tryna get your coffee and not be bothered, this is the place. If you're wanting to talk to a friend and chill I'd maybe choose another shop because it's not really the environment for that.

Audree T.

Yelp
The past few times I went here this week, the coffee beans were burnt and the gal working was very unfriendly and unprofessional. I thought I caught her/them on a bad day so I tried a couple more times and worse every time. Sorry, won't be coming back
google avatar

Liz L.

Yelp
I have to give 3 start bc the place it's really cute and the girls working there are really nice and friendly. BUT I just got 2 cortados and AGAIN disappointment :/ it's not a cortado! Cortado is a Cuban coffee that if u been to miami or cuba you'll know this is not a cortado. U should consider changing the name of this drink. Thanks.
google avatar

Sarmishtha S.

Yelp
Standard coffee shop, which is honestly all you want when you want coffee- good and reliable, not watered down or burnt. Enough choices to cover your preferred way of taking coffee, including batch brews, espresso, cold brew, and espresso based drinks, with the option of adding flavored syrups. They offer 8, 12 and 16 oz sizes. The coffee was nice and strong, and the Incredible Hulse (cold brew concentrate + milk) was strong and yummy as well. I also got a savory brioche ($5.50) which was delicious and filling. The people being the counter were very nice to talk to, courteous and helpful. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Damkee ..

Yelp
Cozy atmosphere with great coffee. Inside space feels a bit tight, but there is outside seating as well.
google avatar

Stephen C.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service and high quality coffee and espresso. Had an Americano on this visit and loved the darker roast used in the espresso. Not a lot of seating and very few outlets for working, if that's what you're looking for - but a cabinet video game and seating enough for a small shop. I will be returning for sure.

Dylan T.

Yelp
Poor service, acidic/sour coffee. The area is quite small and reminiscent of a Starbucks. No food options.

Not Y.

Yelp
Wanted some tea in the morning while I was walking around the area and walked in to this place. Had to be a great place to buy something because of how much people were sitting inside chatting. Well what I bought was a cup full of tea that had No flavor and wasn't offered lemon or honey. The only thing worth the experience was looking at the French press they had advertising. It wasn't welcoming just got a stare from the cashier waiting for me to order what I wanted as if there was a line which only one was behind me who was still looking to see what he wanted.
google avatar

Bridget W.

Yelp
When I got handed my soy latte there was a solid moment of contemplation of sending it back on looks alone. The milk had blobbed into the middle and there was spillage on the cup before it got handed to me. Oh, if only Alex T had been here to see this sloppy presentation... After taking photographic evidence of this disaster I tasted it. It wasn't as bad as it looked, but it definitely was overrated. The roast had a bitter finish that was just too overpowering for me. The ugly latte was not finished. I like the fact that there is a sizeable outdoor patio to the place, but that's the extent of the charm. The indoor seating is extremely limited and comprised of cheap plastic chairs and a couch by the bathroom. Baristas were friendly, but more focused on speed (it wasn't busy) than quality. Not my vibe. Won't be back.
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
My new go-to place! It's hard to find coffee shops that are quiet enough to study, has good lighting, and outlets. Blue Copper has all the above! They also have the cleanest bathroom I've seen at a coffee shop. Their earl gray latte is divine, it comes sweetened with vanilla (essentially a London fog for all my tea drinkers). Their matcha is not sweet like how I want, but it has good flavor. The only downside is there are limited seating.
google avatar

Kyla B.

Yelp
Great coffee. While I was visiting Utah in June, during COVID19 outside to-go was available and the coffee was great. Also, their staff was super friendly. Nice seating area outside as well. I'd def go back to try a latte or food there (if available).
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Not all flat whites are created equal. Blue Copper nails it!! It's in a cool space with a nice patio.
google avatar

Penny M.

Yelp
I had to stop by this spot, I've heard so much great things. I automatically liked it when I parked in the front. Everyone hanging out outside drinking their coffee and eating breakfast was vibes. Good vibes! It's a cute comfy and cozy small coffee spot but more than enough space and room to have coffee and hang out. Plenty of room outside on a nice day. Coffee was great and the staff was very kind, a nice friendly greet is always nice to start your day.

David S.

Yelp
What a great coffe shop. High quality coffees with appropriate roasts. Quiet and interesting place with nice outside area in the Sun. My favorite in SLC.
google avatar

Charlez M.

Yelp
Finally good coffee in SLC! A bit weak on intensity for what Im used to but just makes it easier to order more and more
google avatar

Kayla S.

Yelp
Visiting from austin we found this place from Eater Utah. The staff was incredibly helpful with our millions of questions. I love their social distancing measures, felt very safe. We ordered a raspberry bar(INCREDIBLE), gold brew which is sparkling cold brew ( malty goodness) and a oat milk latte. Overall a must-stop when in SLC! They also gifted us a koozie ! Baffled with kindness we will be back!
google avatar

Joe W.

Yelp
Popped into Blue Copper on our way out of SLC on a brief visit mid road trip. Grabbed a few drinks for the road (hot latte, sparkling cold brew, and vanilla iced latte) as well as a couple slices of cinnamon coffee cake. Firstly... whatever the hell was going on with the sparkling cold brew was different, strange, and extremely palatable. If you like seltzer waters, and you like coffee, then this is a must-try. The cinnamon coffee cake was killer, even if a bit precarious to eat while driving the 80. I'd recommend this for a stationary experience... The latte was one of the best I've had on our road trip, and the wife gave high praises to her vanilla iced latte as well. Lastly, the customer service was very friendly - which is crucial for a great experience for me. No quality of taste can offset bad service, so I appreciate the approachability and helpfulness on my visit!

Lily E.

Yelp
Cute place but kind of disappointing on the limited food options. I ordered two drinks, a mocha and a chai. The mocha was horrible; the coffee was incredibly over roasted and bitter and super sour. The chai was over powering and unenjoyable. the pastie was good but ended up falling apart two bites in. The employees seem like they hate their job. Very limited seating with uncomfortable chairs. Overall i left hungrier than when i came in :/.
google avatar

Cole M.

Yelp
Great coffee. Great WiFi. Super nice people. They make their own... everything. Syrups. Coffee. Friendships. Everything.
google avatar

Emma Z.

Yelp
My family came in to cure a hangover with some coffee, to walk into the worst costumer service we've ever had with the eye rolling of the workers to the attitude we got for just ordering our tea and questions about their roast. To the remark of "we're not a typical coffee shop" my remark is "no just the most rude coffee shop". I'm so glad i'm from out of town so I never have to be in the same radius as this coffee shop. I'm not mad, the tea is great. However, i'm shocked how they got hired. The morals of this caffe should be seriously be revalued. The coffee shoved up their a$$ must be really strong.
google avatar

Alyssa A.

Yelp
We stopped by this little coffee shop twice. The coffee was good, and the earl grey latte was the clear winner of the trips. Only getting a 4 out of 5 because the other drinks we got (chai and matcha latte) had flavors that were too overwhelming, which was surprising because these are my go-to drinks for all coffeehouses. One less pump/scoops from their default recipes would probably make them better.
google avatar

Kenzi K.

Yelp
Blue Copper is the greatest local roaster and shop in all of Salt Lake and Utah at large! I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH! The space is beautiful and comfy, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and god DAMN these are FINE CUPS OF COFFEE being prepared for all of our collective enjoyment. Do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't regret it. Hands down the best shop in town and it's all made with love.
google avatar

Estela B.

Yelp
Saw reviews on yelp and decided to come and try it out. I'm originally from California. So I love trying different coffee. I had the expression with the steamed milk- cortado. Very good! Minus 1 star for the space trying to fix your coffee is little difficult when someone is sitting I front of the napkins and spoons and sugar. But other then that everything else was great! The people were so nice and attentive!
google avatar

Adriana G.

Yelp
Excellent coffee, friendly staff. The coffee cake (orange cranberry) we are visiting from SD and we come to this place 3 times. We love our lattes with Oat milk and the last day I ordered a golden milk and it was delicious too.
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
A very solid spot for coffee. The barista was helpful and friendly. Got the iced cereal milk latte from the seasonal menu. It has a perfect amount of flavor and sweetness from the syrup and you still get the wonderful taste of espresso coming through. I love a great coffee-forward latte and this hits the spot!
