New Sushi Restaurant Ren Brings Even More Heat to Menlo Park’s Restaurant Scene | Eater SF

"After 115 years operating in Sacramento, the company will wind down operations at its midtown processing plant over two years and move manufacturing to Turlock and Salida; management cited cost and inefficiency, about 600 workers will be affected, and roughly 10% of plant employees are expected to be let go." - Dianne de Guzman

They have everything almonds. It’s possible to preview new flavors. They also have a tremendous number of gift baskets and other edible delights. This is one of my favorite places to shop! Highly recommend!

As a naturopath, organic grower, and a functional foods consultant, I approve Artisan Nut-Thins. They passed my taste test and an ingredients review.

Shipping works at a snails pace. Must have caught them on break because at check in window I was told they would get to me soon. Once loading started it took about two hours. When called to sign paperwork again they seemed to be moving along at snails pace so I must have had bad luck and caught them on another break. These delays cost me a second appointment of the day. Someone needs to light a fire under their butts because time is money.

This company did racial segregation when I tried to buy an item from their store. The cashier stole my credit card, and lied about it when I confronted her. They had a killing in the area, at a next door casino business 3 hours earlier that day. I am concerned that this business is dangerous to the neighborhood and should move to another location, another business should merge with it or take it over, or it should close down.

I have to say, I am an almond fanatic. Whenever I'm needing to fuel myself up with a quick snack to help curb the appetite, eating almonds has always been a clean and healthy way to get me through the day. And living in Sacramento, we are very fortunate to have a well-known local company in "Blue Diamond". Amazingly, this company has been in Sacramento for over a century (founded in 1910) and has been the leader almond distributor throughout North America. The headquarters is located in downtown Sacramento at 17th and C St's. Usually when I ride my bike alongside the nearby American River Bike Trail, I can smell the almonds roasting from the factory much like warm pancakes. The scent is absolutely heavenly. Hours of operation are Mon-Fri from 9:30am to 5pm and Saturday from 9:30am to 4pm. Parking here is easily accessible as there is an abundant amount of parking spots on any given day that lead directly into the spacious nut and gift shop area. Once entering, there is a seating area to the right when they provide tours at certain times of the day. And if you go to the left, you are then taken to almond heaven as the gift shop has an absolutely endless amount of choices to pick from. All of the almond samplings here are FREE and what I like about it, the employees here encourage you to try as many different almonds as you like! Some of my personal favorite flavors are the "Smokehouse", "Dark Chocolate", and "Honey Dijon". However, they offer more than 25 different flavors that I'm sure would cater to anyone and everyone. They also offer an assortment of different packaging that ranges from the small cans to the large 1-lb bags. Additionally, they offer many different gift sets as well. And if eating almonds is not your thing, "Blue Diamond" also offers many different alternatives to choose from. They offer a variety of their popular "Almond Breeze" almond milk (in vanilla, chocolate, and other flavors) as well as their "Nut-Thins" snack crackers that come in many different flavors. I usually always pick up a box of these since they're harder to find at my local supermarket. One major reason why I come here is that their prices are at least a few dollars less than buying it at the grocery store. I usually come here on an average of at least once a month to stock up on my beloved almonds. And at times, they offer "damaged packaging" and "products nearing expiration" specials for only $1.00! All of these products might have a minor dent or rip in the box but anywhere from 50-75% off the regular price! Also, the customer service has been top-notch as I wanted to give a shout-out a employee Keren for recommending several products that I have not tried before, primarily the Elote-flavored almonds. Overall, I will continue to support "Blue Diamond Growers" as my go-to place for smart and healthy eating. It has been a frequent business that I have come to for years and will be for many years to come. For those of you who may not live close to this particular factory, "Blue Diamond" also has a nut and gift shop located in Chico and Modesto. They also have a large online store where they will ship their products throughout the continental United States. So thank you "Blue Diamond" and keep up the good work!

Blue Diamond has been an institution in this town forever. This is the main plant where most almonds grown here in California are processed. The store is clean, well-stocked and has competitive prices. If you like almonds, you can get a good price. Some of the employees outside are not all that neighborhood-friendly, as they come and go back to their prospective suburban neighborhoods. We tried to install bike racks a few years back, and their response was, "What's a bike rack?" Uh, OK. If you take the ARBT entrance on the east side, you get a whiff of...well, I'm not sure what it is, but it's different. Processing chemicals?

So sad to see they have taken away so many beneficial vitamins in their Almond Breeze milk. They removed vitamins B12, A, & D. They removed phosphorus, magnesium and zinc. They have decreased calcium from 30% down to only 2% per cup. They have decreased iron from 4% to 2% per cup. They increased the fibre from 2% to 4%. Big wippy doo. Will not buy this brand again. They have turned it into a really cheap product. I guess it’s in the name of making profits. Will not by this product anymore. Spread the word how cheap this product is…

If you're in a tractor-trailer making a pick-up or delivery, you can park in the old dock area on the corner of the gift shop long enough to run inside and check it out. So long as it's empty, it'll give you enough time to check out the gift shop inside, pretty good deals on almonds and snack foods.
