Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at Blue Fin, conveniently located in Times Square and accessible through the W New York's elevator. My overall experience at this upscale restaurant left a lasting impression, making it a noteworthy recommendation for those seeking a combination of a trendy atmosphere and delectable seafood.
The service at Blue Fin was great. The staff's attention to detail was evident from the moment I walked in until the presentation of my meal. Blue Fin's modern and trendy ambiance creates a sophisticated yet vibrant setting. Whether you're there for a special occasion or a casual evening out, the restaurant's design and decor contribute to a memorable dining experience.
While the food and drinks at Blue Fin are delicious, it's important to note that this culinary experience comes with a price tag. For the appetizer, I ordered the shrimp cocktail to share. For my meal, I ordered the Philadelphia roll and a specialty roll. The Philadelphia Roll, priced at $15, is a bit steeper than what I'm used to ($6-8) at a classic sushi joint. There isn't much of a difference between Blue Fin's Philly Roll, and those at lower prices, but you are, of course, paying for atmosphere. The real value, however, lies in the specialty rolls, ranging from $18 to $21. Considering the exceptional taste, quality, and the upscale atmosphere, these prices are fair and reflective of the overall dining experience.
The drink menu at Blue Fin features cocktails priced between $16 and $18, which is expected in Times Square, and very fair priced given the unique selections and use of specialty ingredients. The cocktails are expertly crafted, adding a delightful touch to the overall dining experience.
All in all, I recommend Blue Fin, whether you're in a group or traveling solo. While the prices lean towards the expensive side, the overall value, especially in terms of atmosphere and location, justifies the cost. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or a cocktail connoisseur, Blue Fin is a fabulous choice.
