Great restaurant and excellent management. The owner is a wonderful lady who always looks out for my sister and I who dines in often. I greatly recommend Blue Ginger.

One of the most authentic Chinese/Asian food in Stamford. It has been my go to place since 2012. My favor dishes are Hunan spicy long pepper with Pork, steam dumplings, Taiwanese beef stew noodle soup, rainbow roll, Tomato with eggs.

Food was delicious, and service was great, also the atmosphere of the restaurant was really comfortable. Very friendly staffs that’s knowledgeable, and attentive. They got lot of varieties of food choices. A must try if you are into Asian cuisine.

I get take out. So I don't know what the restaurant is like to eat in. I love the hot and sour soup. This time I tried the coconut shrimp entree. I couldn't finish. The weird mayo sauce did me in. The coconut wasn't part of the breading, it was just sprinkled on top. Won't have this one again and now I'm skeptical of the walnut shrimp which I was going to try next.

Food was great, staff was very friendly and polite. Their bubble tea was good as well (a little too much ice) but solid. I got a Taiwanese soup. It was such a hearty and big soup. Definitely a great price, tasty and not expense relative to other places.

Hard to find a good Chinese restaurant. This place is great. A real 'find'. Food is well prepared and flavorful. Dumplings were delicious. Beef with garlic sauce very tasty.

NEVER GET DELIVERY. I ordered delivery yesterday night it was late and I had just gotten off work the driver came and I gave him 20 for my $16 order and told him to keep the change while the man was walking away he started yelling and acting like a child about the tip mind you this is a GROWN MAN, made me so uncomfortable and made me lose my appetite because I was afraid he had done something to my food because it was already slightly opened. Never ordering from here again

I absolutely LOVE Blue Ginger on East Main St, not only are the owners and staff pleasantly nice, the food is AMAZING!! The place is always clean and comfortable, just a lovely place to eat with friends and family, my favorite place to eat out

Great service and such a creative way to present the food! I ordered from the lunch menu and was pleasantly surprised by all the extras that came with it. However, the only downside was the sushi--it had a store-bought taste, like something you'd find at a supermarket.

My favorite spot for Chinese food in Stamford hands down! Although I usually get takeout, I've sat and dined in before which was a nice experience as well

The service was friendly and engaging so my in laws loved it. The food scared me a little. My sushi roll was full of fish that was unidentifiable. It was all minced so as not to be noticed. My husbands meal was 1/3 eaten by the time we left and we didn't discuss it in front of his parents because they seemed happy. No way no how for this place.

Chicken pineapple fried rice lacked flavor, even after adding 2 packets of soy sauce. The glazed chicken ginger wok also lacked flavor and didn't appear to be glazed. Generous portion sizes, but quantity definitely outshined quality. The peanut butter pork dumplings were the highlight but weren't spicy at all.

This is my very favorite sushi in Olive Stamford. I normally order takeout from here, but last night my husband and I went and sat down and it was quite a treat. The sushi plated as the chef wants it is gorgeous and take out doesn't do justice his artistry. The food, as always, was spectacular, love this place, the ambience and the taste at a very reasonable price.

We just moved here and have had Take-Out delivered many times. Food is usually excellent and very well prepared. In spite of living over an existing Asian restaurant we prefer Blue Ginger !

We were seated immediately around 4pm on a Sunday in November. Service was excellent and friendly! The ambiance is great as usual. The restaurant was clean. The table tops were cleaned with Lysol antiseptic spray after each customer. The food continues to be delicious. I tried the pan fried noodles with chicken. I am not used to the thick consistency of the pan fried noodles. I am used to the thinner consistency pan fried noodles. The chicken and the vegetables were delicious and fresh. My 11 year old daughter had the beef noodle soup, which is always excellent. Both entrees were cooked and ready within 10 minutes. We also ordered takeout entrees which were also ready within 10 minutes.

I went to pick up my order and I had a terrible experience, they even insulted me because I supposedly didn't confirm my order. A headache, I don't recommend it at all.

Food is good. i likes the atmosphere. unfortunately, staff isn't the best. on a Friday night when they weren't very busy, 6 wait staffers standing around talking about their shifts, what they like and don't like about their shifts, and not paying attention to customers that need help. if they clean up the staff situation, the food is worth visiting.

In high school, I worked at a sushi bar/Chinese restaurant for a few years that ended up closing down due to the pandemic & inflated lease costs. I haven't since been able to find a restaurant with the same impressive balance between low prices & quality food until Blue Ginger. Both the Japanese and Chinese cuisine were both incredibly tasty. We ordered takeout on a busy Friday night a pretty sizable order and the food was ready in 15-20 minutes! It almost felt too good to be true for a lover of sushi and all Asian cuisine like myself, because the prices were stellar. $6 for a spicy tuna roll is unheard of in this economy, let alone such a yummy one! Though we only ordered to go, the inside of the restaurant was tranquil and relaxing and we are looking forward to dining indoors. Sincerely recommend this place for anybody new to the area like us. P.S. order the pork fried dumplings!

Very disappointed! Whenever I receive a Chinese dish filled with sliced celery, I know it's nothing but a cheap filler!! In addition, my dish was dry, un flavorful and white rice was delivered instead of brown. Definitely nothing to brag about. You can do better Blan Ginger!!!

Blue Ginger serves a mix of Americanized Chinese and Thai food along with sushi. Prices are reasonable and delivery is free for orders over $20. I had the three roll sushi combo with miso soup. The rolls are a decent size and nicely packed. The eel avocado roll barely has any eel though and the spicy salmon roll isn't spicy at all and has fillers. Despite that, I enjoyed the rolls and the fish seemed fresh. I also tried the crispy prawns with honey walnuts since it's one of my favorite Chinese dishes. It's pretty rare to see it in Americanized Chinese takeout restaurants. It was pretty good, but not as good as from a Cantonese restaurant. Still, it satisfies that craving.

I've been ordering from Blue Ginger for almost 15 years since they were located in the Shippan area. While they are slightly more expensive than other Asian restaurants in the area, you can taste the difference in price. Everything is just slightly better quality. They are also very accommodating with special orders. I ask them to make some dishes extra spicy and they always deliver. They know how to keep me coming back!

I have been ordering from Blue Ginger since they were on Elm Street and stuck with them all throughout C19 too! I love their wide variety of delicious Asian food. They are always so accommodating with, well everything, but especially if you have an allergy with something -- at least that's been my experience, of course always check with them! I have never had a bad experience/meal at Blue Ginger, and I'm certain I never will.

This is my 2nd time getting takeout from Blue Ginger and I absolutely love their food. The sushi which I got first time was good. This time I got the Homemade Spicy Thai Duck Sauce, Chicken Gyoza, Beef Lo Mein Noodle and Sichuan Style Crispy Beef. Every single dish was finger licking good and the delivery was quick. I have not eaten in the restaurant so can't speak for the service or the ambiance. But the food is so amazingly yummy that I'm curious to dine in one day. The flavors and spice levels for the dishes were on point. Highly recommend!!!

Continue to order from here. Reliable and consistent quality. They do upcharge for any additions so hopefully a tofu dish can be a standard entree.

Great food good service Appetizers the best, delivery very good, no need for door dash, they do it themselves. Fast delivery, crispy hot food, good containers. Great food, try the yang chow fried rice, lo main , scallion pancakes , fried dumplings Restaurant is also very nice to eat in. Eat more chinese food, it's good for you.. ........people are very friendly , delivery guy was great. They deliver to the local marinas. I live on a boat.

I'd like to thank them from turning a very frustrating situation into a new impression about this local business. While, also reminding me to call restaurants DIRECTLY to place delivery orders, and bypass the third party services.

We have lived in the area for a year now and finally stopped by on a Friday night. We had the loveliest waitress and the food was amazing! We got the chicken lo-mein, pineapple fried rice, and general tsos. We were so impressed with how good the food smelled I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the food when it came out, we dug right in. The prices were reasonable and portions were great. If you're checking out a place to go this place is it!!

Blue Ginger is back! Snazzy interior, warm and inviting staff, and just like before, still one of the best options for Chinese and Japanese food in Stamford. We ordered the Sashimi Salad, Salmon Lover's Roll, Snow Mountain, Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, and Chicken with Broccoli, all delicious and solid. They also have Thai options as well which we didn't try this time, but if memory serves, their curry dishes were awesome. They are now conveniently located right off 95 exit 9 and have lots of parking in the back. They also updated their menu with a few new dishes which I will have to try for next time!

This place is absolutely great!! Went here for the first time to check it out and the food is amazing. Had lunch specials of Spicy Mango Chicken and Sesame Chicken. Chicken had great texture and light sauce. Also had great quality Hot & Sour soup. Will definitely returned here again any time I have a craving for great quality at a very reasonable price.

This is my go to spot for Chinese takeout. The food is good, but I prefer their chicken dishes to their beef. But the beef noodle soup never fails as a nice accompaniment to a regular meal.

Kenny and his team hosted a post memorial reception for family and friends that was thoughtfully planned and executed for 30+ guests. sushi was fresh and beautifully arranged. Try some dishes on the authentic Chinese menu, delish! Thank you Kenny for making a tough day a little easier.

The staff is friendly, the food tasty, and, having come back a second time, consistent. We will be using them from now on.

Probably one of the only places I get my Chinese food from. Their sushi is also really good if you ever thought about getting it as well.

Delivery was quick but the food is about as average as it gets. Hot and sour soup had no flavor nor did the general Tso's chicken.

I ordered from here for the first time, amidst the Coronavirus quarantine. I'm skeptical of Chinese takeout places since you kind of have to goto "your" spot. Since I don't eat Chinese food as much as the past, I based my order on the positive Yelp reviews, as I don't really have a goto spot anymore. I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was very clean. The owners were very busy since people could only order takeout or delivery. The menu is pretty vast including all of the classic Chinese dishes, including all of the meats (beef,pork, chicken), seafood, traditional Chinese dishes, noodles, fried rice, etc. I should've grabbed a menu, but they have it on the Yelp site. The food was a solid 3.5 stars. White rice is included. $46 for scallion pancakes, a sushi roll, Kung Pao chicken and Mongolian Beef. Plenty of leftovers too. They give you a condiment pack and fortune cookies like an old school Chinese spot. It's a good restaurant in a non-descript location in a small plaza right off Exit 9 on 95. To paraphrase the World's Most Interesting Man, "I don't always order Chinese food, but when I do, I prefer Blue Ginger." The price is right, it's clean, portions are hearty and the food is solid. I recommend if you're looking for a good takeout spot. I'll definitely return in the future, when the need arises.

I always order the salmon teriyaki everyday, and the portion they give everyday is becoming lesser and less. You can also tell the rice is either overnight or uncooked. See photo, its a joke.

Yummy Peeking Duck and Sushi Decided to go out on a yucky night to try a new restaurant. At least for us. Worth the trip. Friendly and good.

This is my go-to spot for Chinese food! I always get the chicken lo mein which is packed with veggies unlike many other restaurants I've tried that give you plain noodles and nothing else. I also tried their beef and broccoli/veggies and it is tasty as well. I order delivery from here every few weeks and my order has always been on time and correct. Highly recommend Blue Ginger!

Their menu is extensive even considering it is a Fusion place. I ordered the Black Pepper Sushi and it was roll tightly and packed full of flavor. My gyoza that I also ordered were fried crisp but not greasy.

Brilliant service and great food along with an awesome dining area makes it a go-to restaurant. It truly makes you feel like your in another world!

Never dined in at the new location but get delivery all the time always great food and fast and accurate delivery!

Blue ginger went away, but now they're back! The new location has a similar feel, if a bit more modern. The food is pretty much the same as before: capably executed pan-Asian cuisine. The multitude of sushi rolls and sashimi is always quality, and they bring the classic comfort foods as well: pad Thai, general tso, etc. The service and food help elevate Blue Ginger. Recommended.

I'm so glad that I found this hidden gem! I LOVE Chinese food, but it's really hard to find something that isn't your typical take-out quality. We ordered soups to start -the hot and sour is very tasty as was the egg drop, and then went on to share three dishes. The portions are very large, so there was enough left over for two more meals. The pork and eggplant in garlic sauce wasn't too saucy, and it was very flavorful. The Szechwan Beef with veggies was also great. I like how all the sauces actually tasted different. I know that should be a given, but unfortunately, many times dishes in Chinese restaurants all have the same tasting sauce even though they are listed differently. My favorite dish was the Ma Pa Tofu! They do have brown rice for an up charge of 50 cents a pop. Apart from delicious food, the service was also fantastic! The food was prepared quickly, and the waitstaff was exceptionally attentive in checking on us and refilling drinks. The whole meal for two, with tip, came out to under $50. They have a parking lot in back of the restaurant, so you don't need to worry about street parking.

My fiancé and I ordered this food on a rainy Sunday. Due to good reviews we decided to come here to try something new. The place was nice and clean. The dumplings were very good. They were a a really good size for the price. Pretty big compared to other places. The sesame chicken though it had a good taste, wasn't what we expected. The pieces of chicken were very thin.

Love the food. Just have to vent: charging 60 cents per extra leaf of lettuce with chicken/cashews app is ridiculous.

I've only ordered delivery from Blue Ginger and their delivery is always great. I've never had any issues with their delivery service. My fiancé loves their Singapore street noodles and cold sesame noodles. I always go for their sushi for 2 platters (hey, I love sushi)! Sometimes their fish is good but sometimes, I get a few pieces that aren't cut right or it tastes super fishy and it's inedible. It's a hit or miss with the sushi but I always go back for more.

6 stars for the lunch specials.......hands down the best Chinese food in Fairfield county IMO.....super fresh ingredients.....quality meat and poultry.....brown rice option is fantastic....just writing this has me craving Chicken and Broccoli !

Just moved from NYC to Stamford and this is the BEST Chinese food in the area. High recommend the fried dumplings!

Don't believe the four star or better reviews? This place is way below average to bad! It's a Chinese take out place that ambitiously attempts to do Asian Fusion: Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese and fails miserably! The food is bland/tasteless and the shrimp was likely spoiled and smelled "funky" and tasted "fishy," so I had to toss it out! On top of subpar food, they don't include utensils on a take out order??!! Go somewhere else and thank me later!!
