We finally decided to come and give it a try on wine down Wednesday. Live music was good manager and waitress were great. Food also was very tasty. Only reason why I am giving it a 4 is due to the wait. It took a while to get our appetizers then our main courses. I didn't get a picture... but you just try the boudain egg rolls!!

This is where we had our Women's Thanksgiving Dinner from Summer Creek Baptist Church. A beautiful setting! Loved ❤️ it! The amount of pictures tells you how much so!!! I got there a little early and waited until more of our party got there. It has an ambience that makes you feel welcomed. Our seating had a beautiful view of "the Lagoon". There are side rooms, bar area. Covered and open areas on patio for outside dining. As it got darker and the lights came on, it just made it that much more intriguing. Our server, Mystery, was friendly and professional. We shared the following appetizers on small plates: Boudin Egg Rolls, Truffle Parmesian Fries and Quesadillas with Shrimp! Just enough to kick off the evening - along with animated conversations! All of the food prepared was excellent and new tastes introduced to my taste buds!!! 😋 My main dish was the Caprese Chicken Pasta, chicken tender and moist. Pasta al dente!!! Loved it! Sorry, got so caught up in the surrounding conversations and the food, that I didn't think about pictures then. Just wanted to enjoy it all! Definitely a place for groups and social events. Make sure to call and make reservations!😊

I truly love this place! The drinks, food, and service ay the Bar absolutely amazing! I come every Friday just to get away. Overall, I appreciate Stephen and his staff. And if you book an event it is absolutely awesome. All needs are met! 5 Star ratings!!!

Another great night at the Lagoon Bar and Grill. The staff is friendly, the food is good, and the lagoon view is great.

Today's visit was absolutely horrible !! I sat and waited over two hours and still have not received my food. They served every one who came in after me. I had reservations at 5:15pm. At 7:28 pm I walked away. I was thinking it was because of the Caribbean event but no. This place is trash. They barely served me water. My daughter was starving and they did not give us any food. The entire visit was garbage. This neighborhood sucks.

I had my birthday brunch this past Saturday June 15 and I booked a room at the Blue Lagoon bar and grill the service that Molly and Hayden provided was incredible. There was a small issue with my brunch, things did not go the way I planned them but Hayden and Molly worked things out for us, not to mention the food was incredible! Their chilaquiles were very good! My family and I had a blast! Such a sweet and intimate place to book an event! Can’t wait for the next!

Came on a Sunday evening with friends for a jazz night (Harmonic Reflection was playing). Place was hopping and wait staff was a bit overwhelmed. They never lost their cool, though. Victoria was our server and was such a sweetheart. She took excellent care of us. The food was hot and tasty - the drinks were good and not overpriced. I had the Come and Get It burger. Yummy! Enjoyed the music very much - lots of jazz standards. Will definitely return. Highly suggest making a reservation on nights with live music.

This restaurant is located within the Balmoral subdivision and it closed abruptly without any notice to the residents. When it was open the food was just ok. We only went for the appetizers and cocktails. The brunch included food that appeared to be heat and eat frozen foods. With that said, the venue is beautiful with nice views of the lagoon.

What a stunning presence! The rustic dining room with windows and glass doors opening to an outdoors seating area and the scenic lagoon. Soulful music bathed the dining a bar areas with a relaxing ambience. The food was just as pleasing. We ordered boudin egg rolls as an appetizer. The boudin was mild and the sauce was subtly complementary. I got the "Come and Get It" burger with fries. It was tasty and filling. My daughter was equally satisfied with the Creole redfish entree that she ordered. Much to my delight, the signage indicated that the Blue Lagoon Bar & Grill is also an event venue, hosting Comedy Nights and Specialty Dinners.

5* Sooper Service from Chante 6* Ambiance beautiful pool side dining area 4* Food was ok. Caprese salad appetizer was gratis through Yelp. Tomatoes thinly sliced were disappointing. Rueben Sandwich was small and skimped on pastrami. Bread was thin and could have been better quality. Ask about specials. Half price bottles of wine on Wednesday!

A good restaurant option for Friday dinner. It's an unusual restaurant, it being part of a gated community. The gates are open to park and anyone can eat there. It's a small venue but it has a fun ambiance with the music selection and karaoke option. You can rsvp ahead of time or walk in. There's alcoholic beverages, burgers, salads, and entrees, as well as dessert. I tried the vanilla martini and the grilled salmon. The person I went with had a burger and switched the meat to chicken. The fries were good and the good was filling with feeling overly stuffed. The service is slow but we didn't mind since we were having fun with the music and the staff was very friendly and doing their best. There's outside seating but it was too cold for that even though they do have heaters and a nice view.

I'm so happy Maria is the new manager ! She has worked so long to get to this position and is well known with the community. I am a huge blue cheese lover and for some reason they have a blue cheese vendor that gave them like fake blue cheese and she went and found me blue cheese and went above and beyond, the food quality is great here and the menu has gotten better the lettuce in my Cobb was super fresh and the hard boiled eggs were cooked perfectly and it was so big it could feed two people the boys loved the wings they are perfectly cooked and we love the mocktails and I love the drunken cherry and the Cesar with shrimp was good I've posted plenty other times good folks here the vibe is relaxing by the lagoon.

We had a girls day out and decided to try Blue Lagoon. We were not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Definitely coming back to try other dishes.

This is the side lagoon side bar and grill in America'. This place has a really nice atmosphere. The restaurant is public but the lagoon is not. They have some really good food choice and they host different themes throughout the month. The drinks are good my favorite this was the boudin Eggrolls and red snapper plate. They have plenty of parking and is located in north Houston. Give them a try if you want good with views.

I've been to this Blue Lagoon Bar and Grill a few times and I've tried to give it another chance, but still unsatisfied. I begin with food choices that are very limited, food it's dry, unseasoned, definitely not worth the price and don't ask me about them watered down drinks. How can a restaurant serve hot bottle beers and when asked for another beer they brought me a cold glass. So if you haven't been to this location you ain't missing anything. Save yourself a trip and go somewhere to where you will get your moneys worth.

Nice location and beautiful place. Service was polite but oh so slow for the food. The wings and burger was good and prepared well. Just be patient.

This place has really turned around since we last visited! The service was great & food was even better!! Atmosphere feels like somewhere tropical & it's a great escape!

Overall, my dining experience at Blue Lagoon Bar and Grill was exceptional. The blackened salmon with crawfish étouffée and dirty rice was a winning combination of flavors and textures. The dish showcased the culinary expertise of the chefs and the quality of the ingredients. And let's not forget the guava daiquiri, a perfect complement to the meal. I highly recommend visiting Blue Lagoon Bar and Grill for a taste of their outstanding seafood dishes and delightful cocktails. I can't remember my servers name, but he was a Black guy with dreads. He was so personable and delivered quality service.

We enjoyed a nice meal here for Mothers Day 2023. Excellent musicians and beautiful view.

The Blue Lagoon Bar and Grill at Lago Mar is awesome! Talk about incredible ambiance, great food, and service. It's a triple threat to any dining establishments nearby this convenient, gorgeous location. The brick oven Margherita Pizza is the best I have ever experienced-OMG!!! The tropical peach drink special was delightful, as was our server Kiar. Seriously, put the Blue Lagoon Bar and Grill on your list and check out their daily specials. Ask for Kiar.

I was heading to another burger place in the area and saw this restaurant on yelp that, according to reviews, has a really good burger, so I stopped in. According to the waitress, they first opened earlier in the year, then closed....and have now been re-open for 3 months, but have ongoing renovations. They immediately seated me outside where they have 11 tables, some covered, some not. The restaurant is upscale/fancy on the inside, like a mountain lodge. Seating is currently only outside though due to the renovations. This place has a lot of potential since it is pretty unique. Luckily, the outside seating has a nice view. Only 1 problem. The flies. The Texan burger seemed to be a popular order. So thats the one I chose and I added lettuce and tomato. They also serve salads and several chicken items, namely variations on tenders. They have a bar inside the restaurant, but for the 2 drinks I ordered, they walked over to the beach bar adjacent to the lagoon to make them. Its supposedly a full bar though and drinks on the menu are not the full list of what they can make obviously. The burger itself was decent. It was probably a frozen patty but not bad. The most memorable ingredient was the bacon, as other yelpers indicated. It was really good and this is probably what is very high quality, not the patty. The buns have been switched out recently and they're just white buns now...no longer brioche. For 9.95, luckily the burger comes with a side of wedges. The potato wedges are seasoned, but not your typical potato wedges. So that was nice. I ordered 2 frozen drinks, their pina colada and strawberry watermelon daiquiri. They are both purchased mixes, and the pina colada was easily my favorite since the strawberry watermelon one tastes artificial. The flies are not really a problem until your food comes out and then they swarm. My table had about 1-4 flies at any one time. They have dynatraps set up and plugged in. But those only probably catch mosquitoes and don't seem to do anything at all for flies. If flies are a deal breaker, definitely sit inside when they open that area. Another unusual thing you will see here is atypical silverware and plates. Your food comes out in a plastic clear to-go container, your silverware is silver, but its plastic. To me, they have a nice place, but they do some things cheaply. The build-out of the restaurant is also wacky. You have to pass through the prep area to get to the restrooms. Seems like a poor design to me. With all these negatives, I have to give it only 2 stars, but this is a place I can see myself coming back to just to enjoy the pina coladas and view.

I feel like this could be a really good place, if the food is addressed. Right now, its a weird mix of high end and bar...which is bad bar food at "grill" prices. *The portions were very small for the price paid. *The bruschetta appetizer was not very good at all. It was just a lot of basil on top of overcooked French bread. It needed more moisture. *The southwest egg rolls were teeny tiny, and they tasted like prefrozen appetizers. They weren't even really egg rolls because it was more like pastry dough, not fried rice paper. *The Ceasar dressing was watery and bland *The French fries were soggy and the seasoning was sweet; not expected at all on fries. ....oh and the mimosas were freaking $8 each. Haha! In the picture posted, you can see that the appetizer plates were the size of my "small girly" hand. The egg roll halves that you get 4 of, were the size of my pinky finger. And that was also $8. I don't think I'll be picking this as a brunch spot again any time soon.

We came for the Sunday jazz brunch and had a nice experience. Our food was good, and you can't beat $15 bottomless mimosas!

The food is pretty good! I wouldn't order food away from the bar area because there are gnats and flies that swarm around food when it is not picked up right away.

Dropped in with a group of 30 to the Texas City location and they graciously accommodated us... Huge variety of dishes and beyond delicious. Service was superb... Chef came out to greet us. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great place to get food when you're at the Lagoon. I always get items to go, so I am not sure about the inside restaurant, but the outdoor section is great.

This place is out of this world! The service is AMAZING. The food is BOMB! and the view from the patio overlooking the lagoon is just breathtaking. it's just a warm atmosphere. Theyve been closed for two years and just recently opened. And I think it's amazing. Blue Lagoon Bar and Grill is definitely a Houston Hidden Gem. 10/10 DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! Outdoor seating on the lagoon was exquisite -- dining is indoors or outside on the patio, food and service is excellent. We will definitely be back again soon!

"Closed for the next few weeks" for the last six months. If you're thinking of buying a home at Balmoral in Houston look no further than this joke of a Bar and Grill as to why you shouldn't. The Crystal Lagoon exists to extract money from the homeowners. Look elsewhere.

Not at all what I thought it would be. We closed on our first home so we decided that we would celebrate here. I made the reservation several weeks in advance and received confirmation so as soon as we left the title company we went straight to the restaurant. My husband actually dropped our daughter and myself off because he was going to swing by the sales office to grab our keys to the house. When we got to the door a lady opens the door and asked could she help us. I told her we had a reservation and she says "oh go down to the lagoon" I was a bit confused but I figured she knew what she was talking about so we walked all the way to the lagoon only to be told that the restaurant was where we had just left. Once we made it back I asked the lady what was going on and why she sent us to the lagoon. She then informed me that the restaurant WAS CLOSED because of damaged from the snow storm. I was livid to say the least!!! I was wearing an all white pant suit with high heels and this lady says I thought you wanted to hang out by the lagoon. Anyway I asked to speak with a manager, when she came out she apologized and tried to explain what could have went wrong. She also gave me the district managers card. Closing Celebration RUINED for sure. A couple of weeks later I contacted the district manager. She was very nice and very very apologetic for us not being called when the restaurant closed and for the other lady's terrible attitude. She invited us back out on her and said we could even do some type of toast for the closing and she also said that since we were not residents of Balmoral she would reserve us a cabana at the lagoon so the we could have the full experience. We decided to go back on Mother's Day for brunch. After we were seated I ask our waiter was she available. So she comes to the table and introduces herself and disappears. No toast no nothing lol.They only had about 5 items on the menu and no drinks available other than can soda. My buffalo chicken wrap was Ice cold so all I could do was eat the potato chips the came with it. I was so disappointed with the entire experience I didn't have the energy to say anything. Our waiter brings us the ticket so I informed him that it should be covered per district manager. Wouldn't you think she would have told him that as soon as she left out table? Anyway I was just happy to leave. The most shocking thing was how the district manager acted like she suddenly had no clue what was supposed to be happening and pretty much ignored us!! Smdh Just a terrible experience overall

I don't normally do reviews, but I felt the need to do one on this place as most the 5 star reviews are coming from the silent partners such as Uri and ADL (April) in addition to other staff members. So I don't feel this yelp review is accurate at all. I give it 3 stars because it all comes in take out containers and plastic utensil. The menu is limited. it's beer and wine only and you have to buy a whole bottle of wine and cannot buy it by the glass. The food however is delicious and the portions are large. I like the place, despite its shortfalls its still worth going too and giving a try for take out style bar food.

Really cool place with patio seating overlooking the pool...absolutely no one was here when I came. Dang same as there isnt much else in the neighborhood.

We really enjoyed this spot for a quick lunch with our small son. The service is really good as well. I like the views from the patio and plan to sit outside next time we go

After attending the soft opening for a friends birthday, this has made the list of my favorite nearby go to's. There is a variety of food and what I've had has not disappointed. I cannot wait to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful lagoon view; unfortunately it's been either cold or raining the couple times I have been. Give it a shot; it will not disappoint.

This place is closed and has not been open for months. We drove here multiple times when the internet said open only to find it completely shut down.

Absolutely delicious, with gorgeous views of the lagoon. Felt like a mini beach vaca! Mashed potato balls were next level, sweet chili shrimp were wonderful, chocolate peanut butter old fashioned was amazing! Tres leches and espresso for dessert staff was very friendly too! Can't wait to go back and try other dishes!

Cool place with great food. I like comfort food and these guys have it figured out. I had the Texas Burger which was delicious. The happy hour menu is great too. The fried loaded mashed potato balls are decadent and the stuffed jalapeños are the best I've had in a long time. The seating on the patio is ideal as you get to overlook the Crystal Lagoon.

Had a great meal at the lagoon. Great food and nice view. Staff is very nice. Comfort food.

Came here for the first time a few weeks ago to celebrate a friends birthday during their soft opening. It was busy and recognizing they still had a few kinks to work out food and service took a while, but once we let them know that we were under a timeline to get to next stop they made sure all hands were on deck to ensure we left on time. Food was delicious and the manager Monica was super helpful and even comped us a bottle of wine for the slight delay in the beginning. Came back today for brunch with a friend, food and drinks and service are on point. Glad to have something different in the neighborhood. I'm looking forward to coming back on a nicer day to enjoy the outdoor patio and view of the lagoon.

It was just okay. The scenery was very nice, but the experience was misleading. The website has a variety of food choices that are not on the menu, which was limited. The service wasn't bad, but overall not what we expected.

Great Food, incredible views, and excellent service. Get an outside table for the best views of the 3 acre Crystal Lagoon. Excellent wine list, try the Caymus.
