If it wasn't for Yelp, I never would have known this place existed. It's in a business park. There is a little grassy courtyard surrounded by several eateries. We were there for lunch on a Saturday and it was not busy at all. Apparently, Friday nights after work gets pretty crowded. The place is clean and comfortable and they were playing all 90s music (which I was enjoying!).
5/5 - Lobster Mac'n'Cheese: Lobster claw, cheddar, parmesan and crimini mushroom. WOW! The lobster and the mushrooms are NOT what makes this dish amazing... it's the sauce. That sauce is fantastic!
5/5 - Hank's Vanilla Cream Soda
4/5 - Wild Boar Andouille: Great flavor! The menu says "lean", but it is not at all dry.
4/5 - Spicy Italian Bratwurst: Garlic, fennel, spices. It's not spicy at all, but the fennel is very pronounced. Great proportions with the bread and the bread was nice and soft.
2/5 - Pheasant Sausage: Cognac, Port wine, spices, juniper berries. I was not a fan.
2/5 - Smoked Duck Sausage: "Rich with Apple Brandy". It definitely tastes like duck. It has an Autumn taste to it. Interesting flavor, but we would not get it again.
Obviously, 2 of the sausages brought the overall average down, but we were glad to try them. I will definitely return for that mac and cheese and there are several other dishes I'd like to try.
