The LA Sports Bar Directory

"Blue Palms Brewhouse is a bar on Hollywood Blvd. that doesn’t feel like a bar on Hollywood Blvd. The beer selection is great, the TVs are exactly the way they should be (big, HD, and loud) and there’s no painful rowdiness or Spider-Man impersonators in sight." - kat hong, james montgomery

One of LA’s Best Bagel Shops Opens Prime New Culver City Location - Eater LA

"Blue Palms Brewhouse is reopening in an unlikely location: Northridge. The Hollywood craft beer staple did not survive the pandemic at its Hollywood Boulevard address, so now it’s shifting up to 8440 Balboa Boulevard with the same menu of comfort food and beers for all to enjoy. Expect an opening this spring." - Farley Elliott

This place is fine if you're already in the area, but it's not really worth traveling to. There's a big, open space out front for yard games (there was a sign saying they have some you can rent for free), so that's a big plus in my book, but the food was meh and there are loads of places you can go for a large craft beer selection. We went for happy hour and ordered a couple beers + the fish tacos and fish & chips. The bartender was very friendly and gave good service despite being the only server in the place at the time. The fish on the fish & chips was the exact same fish that came in the fish tacos, so the portion was underwhelming. I ordered the fish tacos without jalapenos and with the green sauce on the side, and they came out with a mountain of dry lettuce on top. I know I ordered the sauce on the side, but it just felt like a weird dish. The fried fish was good but overall the tacos would have been pretty meh even with the jalapenos and green salsa. Happy hour was supposed to be $2 off all the beers but one wasn't discounted when we got our check. We felt silly pointing it out to the bartender, who was getting busy, especially since we had already decided we probably wouldn't be coming back since it's a 20-minute drive for us and there are places closer to us that we like better. Not super disappointed by this place, but also not impressed. If you live or work close by, it might be a good spot to get a bunch of friends together to play yard games, beer-in-hand, on a nice day.

Google
Great food and decent list of beers. They have a full bar if that's what you're after. I used to go to the original location in downtown LA a lot. The new location has lost a bit of the magic as far as local watering hole/public house vibe but the food remains impeccable. Much more family friendly now which is just a different vibe and why atmosphere is still a 5 star. Service was a bit slow at times but it's because the place is popping.

Got the Nachos, salted pretzel balls, fries, cheese pizza & calamari. Nachos were ok, they were a little sweet & greasy. Pizza was greasy but it was cooked thin with crispy edges & tasted good, fries were great; my son liked them both. Calamari was light & crispy, tasted really good with their sauce. Pretzel bites were fun & their sauce was good. It's a smaller place but has quite a few tables, some bar seating & outside as well. They have beers & other drinks. It's a cool little place, located in the back of the plaza where there's a nice grass & trees. Plenty of parking. Staff was eh. Prices are fair.

We used to live about 5 minutes away from this spot in Van Nuys and had no idea it existed before we moved up the Santa Clarita Valley. Had we known it was here...well, I still think we would have moved, but we would have been slightly more sad about it. What a great place in an unexpected part of town! We're vegetarians and the menu, especially for a gastropub as VERY vegetarian friendly complete with three types of vegan sausages, a veggie burger and vegan BBQ! Not to mention the many options of beer and cocktails to choose from, all in a really nice atmosphere that was crowded on the Thursday night we visited...plus family friendly! I had a Vegan Smoked Apple Sage sandwich with onions and mustard. Really really good...plus a rum and coke style of drink (though i forgot what it was called and it doesn't seem to be listed on their website menu...it was highlighted as one of their signature drinks on the menu in house.) I'm usually a whiskey or bourbon guy, so this was a nice and sweet treat. My wife enjoyed her fish sandwich which she had served on lettuce instead of bread for her gluten free preference. The fries she got were great, and the onion rings I got were relaly great. Battered more like fish and chips batter than the typical breading you get around those. If we lived closer we'd head back frequently This was all an all around great experience for us.

I love this place!!!! Been coming here on a regular basis since October of 2022. Great service, food, drinks and plenty of seating inside and outside. The entire staff is awesome. Our favorite server is Blake. We saw her again today, her last day before she heads north. So happy we did!!! Perfect for large groups, parties and kids are welcomed. Bathrooms are very clean. *Plenty of parking *EV parking available in the complex *Moderately priced *Great music *

Google
I love this place. It’s a little loud when it’s full, but the beer is TOP NOTCH, the food is fire, the music is fire, and I used to be a regular in Hollywood. I thought I had lost this gem forever when it was no longer next the Fonda, but they’ve kept all of their amazing qualities and now there’s exponentially more parking available at the new location. Favs are nachos, lobster mac and cheese, tuna melt, wings and rings, a solid bourbon list, and the best beers in tap on any given day. Be patient if it’s the rush, there’s a lot going on and the bartenders and hustling like mad to take care of everyone, but they’re absolutely lovely and I am so happy to be back.

Google
The promise of food was not fulfilled. The burgers and sausages looked epic. The promise just wasn't there. Wife had good pizza. Kid had exceptional fish and chips. Beer selection was the worst of the available breweries. Would go back for happy hour but wow they reached and did not grasp the food and beverage side.

Google
Great service. Very laid back atmosphere. Food is great, very gastro pub feel, but I think some of their menu options can use a little balance For example the burgers are high umami, but need something to cut the fat. Not that it isn't delicious, I just feel they could do some small tweeks to really raise the bar. As for their beer selection, it's great choices although would have been nice to have few more on tap, but based on the size of the space, I think they are doing an incredible job. Great place to stop and hang out to have a drink with a great selection of appetizers and generally a calm and cool place to hang out.

Yelp
We loved everything about this place! The vibe, the food, the service! We sat outside on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy for 4pm but I could see why. There are so many great choices for food, like sandwiches and burgers to pizza and salad to their unique sausage plates. They also have a great selection of beer on tap! (And a check in for $2 off draft beer with Yelp check in!) We ordered the Cobb salad to start. It was so fresh and yummy! My daughter ordered a grilled cheese from the kids menu. The fries that came with it were delicious! I ordered their specialty, the Liars Fuego Steak Melt. It comes with a habanero pepper on the side so beware! It was so spicy and meaty! Hubby ordered the sausage plate and tried the Boar and Elk. The food was so tasty and I can't wait to go back for breakfast and dessert next time!

Yelp
1) awesome food. The Buffalo dip, liars cheese melt, Buffalo chicken sandwich, vegan BBQ, and sausages were all hits 2) great service. 3) excellent tap Highly recommended

Yelp
As frequent visitors of Blue Palms Brewhouse, we decided to bring my brother from New York to experience it for the first time, and he was thoroughly impressed with both the food and the beer. We started with the Nachos, which were delicious as always. For my main course, I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, and it was very good - perfectly spicy and flavorful. The service was top-notch, with the staff being friendly and attentive. The ambiance of Blue Palms is always inviting, with a lively atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable. My brother had a great time, and we'll definitely be back soon!

Yelp
A fun spot just a couple of miles away from the CSUN campus. Solid happy hour deals. Family friendly. And the service was great. I tried the fish and chips. I highly recommend them. Fish was fried perfectly. Came with all the trimmings. The happy hour size is a little bit smaller than the normal dinner portion. But it was still plenty of food. I paired it with a house beer and it was a great way to wind down after the work day. This place was hopping on a Friday night. It is clearly a popular spot in the neighborhood despite being tucked behind a gym. Look for it... it's worth it.

Yelp
Can't believe we only just tried this place on the weekend! Firstly it's a chill, great place to watch a game or just catch up with friends. Nowhere near as rowdy as a "sports bar" and very clean and tidy. The service was impeccable. The gentleman that were working on Saturday were great. Attentive and very helpful and polite. The food was delicious!!!!!! Best fish and chips I've had in awhile. The pizza was perfect! And the tuna melt was very tasty. Tried a beer and a cider that were on tap. My only disappointment was the cider was kinda room temperature but it wasn't anything to bother the staff with as it was starting to get busy and it was still good. Can't wait for football season to start and we'll be there every weekend!!!!

Yelp
Brian Lenzo owner James Roberts superviser 7 ppl Both recepties have %20 Charge partry %20 per 6+ Maria Macley: manager at the register . Maria : Had charged my party of 8 , two x times the %20 tip charge . Then she charged another tables credit card charge on our %40 tip charge on our bill . Her runner tried to hide and rip tried to yank it out of my table . Because I was showing proof to the person charged at the wrong table . This is stealing at this point. Not okay .. as a business owner. Mistakes happen and it's okay to own up , but theses employees tried to hide their "mistakes " . Seems like fraud .

Yelp
Blue Palms Brewhouse is a must try, it's hidden behind 5 guys and waba grill but you gotta try them out. If you like beers they got some interesting tasty beers. Food menu looks really good. Sat by the bar and the bartender was very nice and helpful with the menu items. Nachos - really good, bbq chicken, cheddar cheese, would've been much better if the cheese was melted for another 2-3 minutes, jalapeños, and the portion is enough for 2 maybe 3 people Truffle fries - ok not bad Truffle burger - medium cooked, white truffle glazed bun, black truffles, p&w peppers, onions, mushrooms, and cooked in duck fat.

Yelp
I love this place! When looking up family friendly, this popped up and looked good so we tried it out. Drinks and food have been great every time we tried it. They have some outdoor games to use in the grassy area next to it. When we walked in with a party of 8, they immediately set some tables together for us and we never felt rushed. They have an assortment of beers to try and love the sample sizes they offer for $1. It's not easy to see from the street, but it doesn't deter people away. I haven't tried the brunch yet, but that's definitely next.

Yelp
The Good: My friend really liked her Brew Burger. We shared the truffle fries which were decent. The Cosmic Crisp cider on tap was also quite delicious. The atmosphere felt inviting and the wait time to get seated was only about 5 minutes. The Bad: I ordered the Truffle Burger medium and the meat came out more medium well. It was still fairly tasty due to the other toppings but would have been a lot better if the meat was a little more rare. The Ugly: Our service was horrendous. It was actually better in the beginning when they were super busy, than towards the end when we were trying to leave. They were quick to serve waters, but then we didn't get checked on for a long time. We actually had to wave our server down for me to order my cider which yelp had a $2 discount on for checking in. Then after another long wait we finally got our burgers, but only our burgers. The server said our fries would be right out. My friend and I had both finished our burgers before the fries were served, and mind you I'm a very slow eater. Then we went back to waiting. No being asked if we wanted dessert or another drink. After about a half hour of waiting my friend stood up and went to ask for the bill, which they forgot to include the $2 yelp discount on, so we had to ask for that and wait longer. Overall, the food and vibe were good, but the service was so horrible we have no plans of returning.

Yelp
Service was really fast! They kept the bottomless mimosas coming. The food was good so we're all the mimosa flavors including the sweet and sour. The spinach dip was different but tasty. The ambience was relaxing.

Yelp
Just wanted to give this place a "Yelp Thank You Thursday" shout out!!!! Your presence has raised the SFV community to a higher level with great service, good, family & friends vibe and a great bar hang if needed. The secluded location behind the industrial buildings make it a quick "get out of dodge" vibe. I always feel like I am some where else and that is a "good thang!" So thank you from this yelper!
google avatar

Yelp
They were rude to me. They continue to ask for my ID every time I ordered my old-fashioned bourbon drink are all of my age and I do not need to be disrespected with my ID but overall it's a good atmosphere. The ambience is not very well. The food is good. Sometimes it's cold but I miss Johnny so I come here and he's gotta go. Read the message he

Yelp
Had lunch there last Saturday for the first time, with a dear friend and her mom. The service was outstanding. The food is the best and my drink (old Fashion) was sensational. Highly recommend. I'd like to give 10 stars.

Yelp
I still find myself trying different things on the menu! Today was the go to clams and mussels in beer, the broth is so good! And the French Dip sandwich was delicious, next time I will ask for some extra Horseradish. The service is always great Travis at the Bar always makes us feel good. Plenty of outdoor dining and ample parking, the TV's are kept muted, so you still can watch and enjoy a conversation.

Yelp
Friendly staff. We got seated right away. Lovely atmosphere. Alcoholic drinks and bar food with lots of TVs mounted everywhere. I ordered the truffle burger medium well and the meat was tender. The mushrooms and truffle sauce mixed together well. The onion rings were great!
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
This place rocks! The food was on point, and the service was the same! Pretty decent prices, especially for the quality of food and services. Ari was quick to greet as we came in and on top of service throughout the dinner. Also, the bar tender mixed up some tasty drinks that hit the spot. I would give 6 stars if I could. This place is a hidden gem!

Yelp
Tbh I don't really have a lot to say other than we were served lowkey small portions + mediocre food + unenthusiastic waitress
google avatar

Yelp
My family and I have been coming to this location since the beginning and we love the parking for our classic car, love the food, and love the beer. However, as someone who was a waitress for 10 years, I have to say that service here needs a lot of improvement. There always seems to be only one server at a time regardless of how busy it is, each time it's a new server with lack of communication skills. This afternoon when we were there, I felt so uncomfortable sitting there because it seemed as if each table around felt just as neglected as we did. Like I've mentioned, food was good, drinks were good, but service was trash. For a bill that was over $150, you would think we would be treated better..... we want to go back, but I don't think we will can after today... we have given them way too many opportunities and continue to be disappointed.

Yelp
First time here for dinner and it was AMAZINGLY delicious! This is a hidden gem in the valley. Easy parking and the staff super friendly. This is also a family friendly restaurant/Brewhouse. Must try the Nachos it was so good that I highly recommend it. The Beet salad with crunchy candied walnuts and creamy goat cheese was full of flavor. The Truffle Burger was super tasty and cooked perfectly juicy. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
Met up with my friend for a late dinner. When I arrived I had a very friendly greeting from the servers. They asked me to sit anywhere I'd like. Once I was seated they handed me a dinner menu as well as a drink menu. This place kind of has a industrial motif, sprinkled with California Pizza kitchen/Meets Cheers. It seems as though I was sitting amongst a lot of regulars who displayed lots of smiles and chatting with the staff. This local spot definitely had a homey feel to it as well as a warm vibe. After looking at the menu via the website and also looking up some yelp reviews. My friend and I decided to split the truffle burger and the lobster mac & cheese. We ordered the burger medium. For drinks I ordered a Blue Palm instead of Ciroc I subbed for Malibu and my friend ordered a Ginger Beer. Both cocktails were delicious. Our entrées were big enough to share. Our burger was cooked perfectly. We both enjoyed the flavor however there wasn't a strong truffle flavor or a strong blue cheese flavor but I'll say that the combination of flavors made this burger a winner. As for the lobster mac & cheese - it was very rich, very creamy but definitely an entrée to share and was a perfect pairing with the truffle burger. We enjoyed this experience so much we both agreed to return to try the other signature dishes and cocktails. Plenty of parking. I would say the prices are moderate. A great place to meet up with some friends and share some appetizers as well as some drinks. Looking forward to returning soon.

Yelp
We've gone multiple times and try something new everytime because we've never ordered something we didn't LOVE! You can tell they use fresh, top quality ingredients and the cooks know exactly what they're doing. Food comes out fast, and since it's a team service restaurant, you'll have multiple people checking in on your table regularly. Games are shown in the TVs and the beer list is unbeatable. We're quickly becoming regulars and happy to keep giving this gem our business!
google avatar

Jenna H.

Yelp
The bad: They ask what side you want but don't tell you it's an extra charge. That was a little upsetting. They made it sound like the sandwich came with a side. The place was super good! Got the Liars fuego steak melt and it didn't disappoint. Perfect level of spicy. Will definitely get again. Also go the buffalo wings. Super good. We will be back.

Yelp
It's nice to have a cool gastropub nearby. I've heard about this through some fiends but never actually been until now. Location is in a business strip mall and gym area. There's plenty of parking which is nice. Cool outdoor seating as well as indoor and a bar area. We didn't really have a meal as we literally just had dinner. But had to at least try something. Drinks was good, as there was plenty to choose from. Shared the sausage plate, two sausage on sauerkraut and a dessert. It was pretty tasting. Menu did have a good selection for meals. I believe there's a happy hour but not sure exactly. Service was great, everyone was so friendly. Totally be coming back to try out the meals and more.

Yelp
This is a go-to hang out space for me and my friends in our mid 30s with our kids. There is a giant grassy play area to let the kids run free. They also have yard games you can "rent" for free. We do a take out situation for our food and drinks and hang out at the tables right outside. Favorite meal: Baked Apple Salad with chicken. I've had it over ten times at this point and it's always great Favorite drink: Margarita They need some marketing help. More families that still like to have fun need to come to this place. You'll love it.

Yelp
I'm visiting and said to my cuz, "If there's someplace that's about beer that would be great!" Met up for dinner in April with my cousin Steve and my daughter. Wonderful servers! Lots of beer options and they'll let you try it all! Food was good but I don't remember what we had; burger n fries. Beer was terrific! After dinner, one of the owners--who is also named Steve--stopped by and chatted with us for a good bit. Delightful guy! Indoor and outdoor dining. They had a some live jazz playing. Located by a large green grassy area in a complex with tons of parking! Terrific all around!

Yelp
Great Food. Great Service. Large selection of Craft Beer. Outdoor and Indoor seating. Great place to have dinner, drinks, or watch the game
google avatar

Yelp
Ahhh, Blue Palms ... what more can he said? The Liars Fuego Steal Melt was literally one of the best sandwiches I EVER HAD. A bit hot, but so so good. Beer battered o-rings? Yummy. Only knock is their full beer list has too few IPAs. Meh, they have a full bar so I can deal with that. Service from Steven was on point. Last word: Go Here. Thank me later.

julie k.

Yelp
Food was great. Service was great. Can't wait to go back. My husband's favorite of the pretzel bites and root beer floats. I really enjoyed the buffalo fried chicken sandwich.

Yelp
Delicious and a great vibe! This was my 2nd time here, my 1st was a brief stop in for a beer and a quick hello with friends. So happy I came back for another meet up with my favorite Yelp Ladies! Warm and cozy interior with high and low top tables. Outside patio with heaters and umbrellas. Full bar, great beer on tap and wines Happy Hour 3-6pm, $2 off pints Their food is so good! I had their food network chefs sandwich. A firey French dip with a side cesar salad. All so filling and full of flavor. The pizza my friends had looked so amazing delicious, but being on keto I sadly had to miss out PRO TIP: it's a little hard to find, you have to head around towards the back and continue to the back of parking lot and you will see the brewery with plenty of parking. Will be frequenting Blue Palm often for our yelp meet ups, such a great find.
google avatar

Chris Y.

Yelp
All I have to say is lobster mac & cheese, and oh my God is a supersonic delicious I thought the portion look small because of course I love my macaroni and cheese, but it's perfect. Our server was absolutely wonderful and very fun! My friend had a tri-tip French dip, which was absolutely delicious, but I couldn't get away from the lobster, macaroni and cheese. There were so many other things to try but when you're old and fat like me, you only wanna try one thing and come back every other day plus old people don't have much to do so it reset my day. . Very festive environment very clean and the service was incredible. Be sure to tip well they deserve it. !

Monica K.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food! We came Father's Day weekend, enjoyed a lovely lunch and outdoor entertainment, we ordered filet mignon, burger, fresh fish sandwich, kids Mac 'n cheese and everything was delicious! We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
We went to Blue Palms at its Hollywood location and I don't recall it being as awesome as it is now! Great service, solid beer list, tasty food, I just wish they were closer to my house! We went to watch a couple games (really nice TVs) and check out the Northridge spot. I was most impressed with their food. Wings and rings, how did they know I love both! Both were excellent and the ring's batter and crispness put them up there for the best I've had. The Fuego Steak Melt is also a winner. Great flavor and if you really want to kick up the heat add some of the habanero from the side of the sandwich. Wow! Lots of parking and an awesome addition to the valley.

Yelp
The food was fantastic. Great food great service. The burgers were juicy and filling. And although pricey it is worth it. I will be coming back!

Yelp
Visited this location for a group hang with fellow Yelpies, and it was a fun find for me, as it's only a few minutes away! I definitely will be revisiting their Happy Hour with my significant other. They have a decent amount of beers on tap (as they ought to, given the name). During their Happy Hour they offer $2 off beer, or standard wine pour, and I enjoyed their sparkling rose, as well as an order of the fish tacos for $8! For two drinks and the tacos, plus tip, my total came to about $35 bucks, not bad!
google avatar

Emily V.

Yelp
This was the second time I went here and I came just because of the fish tacos and the lobster Mac and cheese. The food is so good here and the service is fast and super friendly the bartender Mike was so nice 10/10 I am coming back

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for some time now. Finally tried it today and unfortunately, it was a let down. The service was good for the most part. They were pretty attentive while arrived at our table and checked in with us during our meal. However, we didn't like our food. The brew burger was very bland and my meet party tasted burnt. My husband got the truffle burger which sounded amazing but also said it lacked flavor. The sides are extra and the fries that I ordered were served doused in oil so they were pretty limp. The onion rings were the only decent food item ordered. They were kind enough to remove the burger off our bill but for the prices that they charge for a burger, I'd expect better. Beer selection is alright. Overall, it's not the worst place but not sure I'd go back.

Yelp
The food was delicious, the servers and service was great, and the beers were cold! Good variety of different beers to choose from. Highly recommended!!

Yelp
I came here with friends for happy hour and had the most lovely time! It was a little hard to find at first since it's hidden in the back, but other than that I had zero issues! I ordered the happy hour individual pizza and was able to choose from one topping and got mushrooms. It was big enough that I had leftovers for 2 Days! The have indoor seating and an outdoor patio with heaters for the colder days. The staff was great and was constantly checking in on us. Can't wait to come back and try some new things!

Yelp
Came here with a group of fellow yelpers. The service was amazing!! The food was just as great. I got the buffalo tenders. They were good!! Spicy but good. Their HH was also great! All around an amazing spot. Was a little hard to find as it was around the corner of the shopping center, but def worth it. Will be coming back ! Parking: it's in a shopping center and parking is great. A lot of open spots. Great spot!!

Pretzel bites were fun & their sauce was good. It's a smaller place but has quite a few tables, some bar seating & outside as well. They have beers & other drinks. Yelp
Located by this little cool park in an industrial park just off Balboa, plenty of easy parking & inside & outside dining. Server Cory very welcoming and after a look over of the menu, we gave it a try. THIS IS AN AWESOME NEIGHBORHOOD HANG. Splendid Brew burger, nice size patty cooked perfectly. Prime rib french dip with horseradish dressing Awesome & killer onion rings... not battered with panko crispys but a smooth crispy batter. They're doing some happy hours & pride themselves on their beer selection and even are doing some events there. You need to check this place out, we'll be back !!

Yelp
If it wasn't for Yelp, I never would have known this place existed. It's in a business park. There is a little grassy courtyard surrounded by several eateries. We were there for lunch on a Saturday and it was not busy at all. Apparently, Friday nights after work gets pretty crowded. The place is clean and comfortable and they were playing all 90s music (which I was enjoying!). 5/5 - Lobster Mac'n'Cheese: Lobster claw, cheddar, parmesan and crimini mushroom. WOW! The lobster and the mushrooms are NOT what makes this dish amazing... it's the sauce. That sauce is fantastic! 5/5 - Hank's Vanilla Cream Soda 4/5 - Wild Boar Andouille: Great flavor! The menu says "lean", but it is not at all dry. 4/5 - Spicy Italian Bratwurst: Garlic, fennel, spices. It's not spicy at all, but the fennel is very pronounced. Great proportions with the bread and the bread was nice and soft. 2/5 - Pheasant Sausage: Cognac, Port wine, spices, juniper berries. I was not a fan. 2/5 - Smoked Duck Sausage: "Rich with Apple Brandy". It definitely tastes like duck. It has an Autumn taste to it. Interesting flavor, but we would not get it again. Obviously, 2 of the sausages brought the overall average down, but we were glad to try them. I will definitely return for that mac and cheese and there are several other dishes I'd like to try.

Yelp
I should have known something wasn't right when we were seated, and we didn't get a kids menu. I wanted to like this place, but once my wife and daughter were finished with their food, and my food never came, I decided that I will never waste another moment of my life in this pathetic excuse of an establishment. Did anyone check on our table? Maybe the waitresses hand gestures that she was checking on my food once would have meant something if she ever came back with an explanation about what might be the hold up. It might have even meant something if she ever came back... no, another waitress asked how was everything, and I had to just ask her to take my order off the bill. They never even started making my order. The original waitress didn't give us the bill or apologize, makes me wonder if she was supposed to be our waitress in the first place. Needless to say, I left hungry, and there was no attempt to make things right. I hope it was just bad service, but it made me wonder if it was something else.

Yelp
Easy vibes. Relaxed. Tasty greasy onion rings. My husband loved the braised short ribs. He said they just melt in your mouth, didn't have to use the knife at all. Friendly waitress and bartender who offered service with a smile.

Yelp
I don't know how I have missed this for 2 years, but so happy to finally discover it. Food was delicious! Beer was great! And even better... the owners, hosts, and waitstaff really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. This is a place where you are greeted warmly and where they really want you to enjoy your night. What a FABULOUS addition to Northridge. Our group had the fish and chips, the French dip and the Brew burger, and we all loved our choices. We also enjoyed the #3 Effigy brew. What a great night!

Yelp
Finally got to try this place! We've been to T4 next door but haven't really checked out any of the other places in this plaza. Such a random plaza with hidden gems! My coworker actually told us about how good this place was so we finally went for dinner last night. Walked in, kind of busy but a good amount of open tables. The waitress said we could sit anywhere so we found a high table by the kitchen area. Took a look at the menu and it took a while for the waitress to take our drink order but she was basically the only one running the entire floor! It was crazy but she made do. I went for a root beer and my bf got some beer. We went over the menu and just about everything seemed appetizing. I was stuck between the fish tacos, lobster Mac n cheese, and the brew burger. I was really craving a burger so I ended up with that, cooked medium. They have Caramelized onions which really makes it for me! My bf got the 2 sausage plate which had duck and boar. I usually like duck but I wasn't crazy about these. He enjoyed it and killed it tho! Service was a bit slow but understandable since it got busy and she had quite a few tables to run. We enjoyed our food and again took a while to get our check and to go box but it was all good. Definitely looking forward to coming back here and trying their lobster Mac n cheese and maybe even the fish n chips! Or maybe the fish tacos? We'll be back for sure to try them all. Yelp
I used to go to the location that was in Hollywood, near the Pantages Theater. Their truffle burger and snickers ice cream pie were literally the BEST tasting items on the planet. Just amazing!! So I was OVERJOYED when I learned that they had moved to Balboa Blvd in the valley because that's so much closer for me. But after giving this place two tries I was immensely let down & disappointed! Whatever chef they have at this location can't even hold a candle to the great tasting food the old location had. The burgers are smaller and not very tasty. I didn't taste much truffle or blue cheese flavor on my burger either time I had it. The other food (that friends who were with me ordered) was mediocre at best. Even the dessert was blah!!! It's hard to mess up a snickers ice cream pie, but it wasn't very good either. Plus the service was ridiculously bad. Took me over 20 minutes and asking 4 different people for a drink refill and even getting the bill proved to be a time wasting challenge. Many other tables around mine were experiencing the same annoying lack of service and we were all rolling our eyes at each other each time we tried to flag a server down, or were left waiting far too long for what we had already asked for multiple times. As strangers, we were all sort of commiserating together through facial expressions. This place needs a better chef and a strong manager for sure!! I really hope that someday this location can compare, even in a small way, to the former location.
