10 Rooftop Bars in NYC for Day Drinking

"During the summer months, the popular second floor bar at the Sixty LES Hotel transforms into a bonafide kanpai garden, flush with greenery, bamboo, and Buddhas. Guests are welcomed with frozen Kirin Ichiban, boozy popsicles, and a menu of tacos, handrolls, and other Japanese street food-inspired small bites. The beer list features favorites like Hitachino White Ale from Japan and Evil Twin’s “Hipster” pale ale. No summer outing is complete without frosé, available here too." - Marguerite Imbert

10 Rooftop Bars in NYC for Day Drinking

"During the summer months, the popular second floor bar at the Sixty LES Hotel transforms into a bonafide kanpai garden, flush with greenery, bamboo and Buddhas. The 1,650-square-feet of communal tables welcome guests with frozen Kirin Ichiban, boozy popsicles in flavors like mint julep and bourbon-choco-banana, and a menu of tacos, handrolls and other Japanese street food-inspired small bites. The beer list features cult favorites like the Hitachino White Ale from Japan, the Sorachi Ace from Brooklyn Brewery and Evil Twin’s “Hipster” pale ale. And no summer outing is complete without frosé—they’ve got that here, too." - Marguerite Imbert

My sister and her friend celebrated their birthdays at Kanpai Garden. They were able to reserve two tables ahead of time for the rooftop Biergarten, as long as enough people showed up in time. The Biergarten is 75% shaded and has a ping pong table and assorted board games- perfect place to hangout with friends! The prices are the usual for NYC: $8 for a small cup of rosé, $8-16 for local and imported cans of beer. Kanpai Garden is nicely decorated, which makes for great photos. If you are looking for a cute chill place to hang and drink with friends, this is the spot!

Great place for big groups. They have giant beers and games to play. They do try to scheme you with 20% automatic gratuity when they literally just bring you a drink which is kinda BS but hey what are you gonna do?

Just your basic board games, drinks are ok, no more numbing peppercorn chips either :(
