We recently dined at Blue Ribbon Sushi in Boston, and it honestly felt like we were transported back to Japan. We started with the crispy spicy rice and the bluefin tuna tartare, both of which were perfectly balanced and packed with flavor. The sushi pieces, especially the toro and hamachi, were outstanding. The fish was so fresh and carefully selected, with rich flavors that never felt heavy or overwhelming. The broiled yellowtail collar was another highlight, tender and full of depth. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the mochi and the green tea crème brûlée; both were light yet indulgent, making for the perfect ending to the meal.
The ambiance was cozy and upscale, the kind of place where you can settle in and enjoy every bite. Flynn, our server, was exceptional, attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about the food. His recommendations were spot on, making the evening even more memorable. From the chilled sake to the smooth Japanese whiskey, every drink was top shelf and beautifully paired with the food. It’s rare to find a place that captures the feeling of dining in Japan, but Blue Ribbon Sushi managed to do precisely that. We left so happy to have found this gem right here in Boston.
