My husband and I went the day after Valentine’s Day, We went for our one year anniversary. The service is super fast and the server was super helpful and super informative about things. He made sure to check if we have any food, allergies, and any accommodations that we may need. We ordered appetizer and food at the same time. All of our food were out within 10 minutes. It was pretty busy every single table were occupied And they still were super efficient with time. This is our first time and it won’t be our last time. Highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down, the best sushi experience! Blue Sake Sushi in Franklin is an absolute gem. I’ve been to many sushi spots, but the Crunchy Cabbage Roll here is by far the best sushi roll I’ve ever had. The flavors are fresh, unique, and perfectly balanced – a must-try for anyone visiting! Our server, Faith, was phenomenal! She was attentive, friendly, and made sure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we walked in, her warm demeanor set the tone for a great evening. I can’t recommend this place enough – incredible food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service! We will definitely be back soon!

Visited on Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised with some great sushi at a great price! (Happy hour) We had the: Hawaiian Roll Lion King Crunchy Red Would order all three again, especially the Hawaiian roll. The miso soup is very good as well!

Google
AMAZING! My husband and I went on Valentine’s Day and were immediately greeted with smiles. The hostess sat us down in a booth on purpose since I am 9 months pregnant. This hostess truly made our experience amazing to say the least. The happy hour feels like highway robbery how amazing the appetizers/ drinks/ and rolls are for the price- and it’s til 6! Our waitress was also extremely tentative throughout our entire date night. If you want your food to take a while this is NOT the place! Sushi and apps arrived so quickly after ordering. Truly one of our new favorite places.

If you must have sushi and don’t care about the quality of it, then this may be the place for you. Very crowded, with slow service and a noise level that makes ordering very difficult. When we went they were out of tuna, Sunday early evening. Our kid works in Franklin and we were visiting, needless to say we will not be heading back.

Google
In love with everything. Personal favorite roll is the thriller roll. The mango crab Rangoon was the perfect balance. Free parking garage around the corner. Ordered: Mango Crab Rangoon $7.50, China Doll $7, Lion King Roll $11, Thriller Roll $16 Socials: The Hungry Wonderland

Just finished an amazing date night meal at Blue Sushi. From the initial interaction with a warm and inviting hostess to the final touches with chocolate egg rolls it was a wonderful meal. Our server was Colt who did a fantastic job. He had great recommendations on sushi. He also took care of a drink for us when one was not what we expected. They really do care and want to make your experience a great one. The Thriller and Lion King rolls were fantastic, great flavors. Also the charred edamame was a great starter, get the spicy one. If you are looking for a great sushi place, fun date night atmosphere, and all around good vibe, just come, you won’t be disappointed.

Google
I've been here three times now, for lunch and for dinner. Really good customer service, and really good food. Quite a few choices in the sushi department if that is what you are looking for. If you're looking for a lot of other menu items that are beyond sushi that you might normally find at a Japanese restaurant, this is not for you. Great cocktails, and I can even vouch for the green tea. Modern atmosphere inside, and some fun music that brings a really good vibe. I love the concept and what they got going on right now.

Carol S.

Yelp
When you first walk in here, you're absolutely blown away by the way this restaurant has been designed. What the stunning murals on the wall to the lanterns hung on the ceiling, you won't be disappointed with the vibes in this restaurant. We come here quite frequently because we can typically get a seat at the bar without a reservation. The place does get busy so I don't recommend it on a weekend night. I haven't been disappointed by anything that I've tried here, and I'm pretty sure I've had almost the whole menu. They have fresh fish cooked fresh and even a vegan menu. The fresh is fresh and sustainable. And their cocktails are delicious. And don't out on the dessert. Their tempura ice cream is my favorite dessert here.

Anika R.

Yelp
My family and I have come here for happy hour a few times and it's been a good experience. We love that there's a sushi spot now in Franklin and we really liked the ambiance inside. There are some items we didn't love but some that were really good. The happy hour deals were at a really good price point and is definitely worth checking out. Our favorite rolls were the tidal wave and the lion king. We didn't love the crispy tuna rice or Hawaiian and would recommend skipping out on those.

Princess T.

Yelp
This spot is HUGE in comparison to their downtown Nashville location, but the quality of the food isn't as good. People in my party (alongside myself) frequented the downtown location more + this was a first time for many at this location. We were disappointed in the flavors of the rolls. We're not sure what was missing, as it seems like the recipes would be standard. Our service was attentive and funny.

Ellie L.

Yelp
Another amazing sushi spot....and I'm from Florida so this is saying something. The inside of this restaurant is so unique and fun. It makes you feel like you're stepping into Japan with authentic artwork and light fixtures. I started with Saki which was warmed perfectly and tasted delicious. I then got a lion king roll (if I remember correctly) and it was very fresh and tasty. 100% going back.

Yelp
Stopped in for a BD Celebration! I will say the atmosphere, staff/customer service & drinks get a 4 ! Food is a 3 ! When we ordered didn't realize that most of the items were fried. It was okay sushi but we have had better. The best was a fresh roll we had and their Crispy Rice Cakes are great! Blue Kani was good but the Hawaiian Roll was meh. Drinks are always good here! Wish I remembered our servers name - she was great and on top of service!

Solomon S.

Yelp
Food, Service, Ambience all 5 stars. Went with the wifey on Valentine's Day. Although it was busy as expected, service was impressively fast. Our waiter tended to us regularly and gave excellent recommendations. To start we had the beef hot rock (highly recommend) and a seaweed salad with tako, followed by a handful of rolls. Looking forward to our next trip here.

Monica J.

Yelp
Literally LOVE this place!! First time I've had such a variety of sushi options as a vegetarian-- and they were absolutely delicious! Great cocktails too. The vibe overall was very chic, but not over the top. Friendly and prompt staff. Would make a great date spot!

Othniel D.

Yelp
Definitely a little bit loud. The server tended to get a little bit lost and not come back very often. The food had decent flavors. Seemed like a pretty new chef attempting to cut the sashimi. They cut some of the fish incorrectly, leaving the stringy areas. A couple sashimi portions were double the size they normally would be which made it very hard to even fit in your mouth. The Harami had some hesitation, cuts as well and was not cut along the normal grain cut lines. Overall pretty decent for an inland sushi place that specializes in rolls.

Yelp
In the realm of dining, where service can elevate or tarnish a meal, my experience leaves much to be desired. Despite the culinary potential, the lack of cohesive service overshadowed our entire experience, making even the best dishes difficult to appreciate. Over the course of an hour, no fewer than eight different staff members attended to our table, each seemingly unaware of the previous interactions. This disjointed approach led to a fragmented and impersonal dining experience. We were left without drinks and waters for over 15 minutes, and it took multiple queries before anyone seemed to realize we had not yet ordered. The staffs operational philosophy appeared to be "see something, run something," a concept that, while theoretically efficient, proved to be overwhelmingly chaotic in practice. The constant flux of different faces not only hindered the development of a rapport with our server but also resulted in numerous delays. It was not until a conversation with the host that a single server was assigned to us, belatedly introducing some semblance of consistency. It's also noticeable that with the expansion of Blue Sushi Sake Grill seems to have diluted its former glory. The once expansive and enticing happy hour has diminished, and the food quality, once a highlight, now appears to suffer from the restaurant's rapid growth.

Yelp
Was hesitant to try this place as I've had some truly awful experiences at the downtown location, but this Franklin outpost of Blue Sushi Sake Grill was pleasantly solid. Upscale sushi restaurant with casual, hangout vibes, particularly due to a great (and dog friendly) patio! The menu here is extensive (all focused on sushi) but one rare thing about it is its incredibly large set of vegan/vegetarian options (including some with faux-tuna, vegan caviar.) This is a great place to come for folks with dietary restrictions. Unlike the downtown location, service here was excellent: attentive but not too pushy and I tried some great sake from waitstaff recommendations. I've been to the downtown location before so know some items are hit/miss flavor wise and tried to stick to things I knew would be winners: specialty sushi rolls, the crispy rice with spicy tuna. The spicy gringo roll is excellent, highly flavorful and this will probably be my new go-to for sushi south of Nashville. An item new to me was the charred edamame: perfectly cooked and the charred cooking method gave the edamame a bit of natural sweetness that was great. This location hasn't been open long but despite having quite a large space can be extremely busy on weekends. Walking in on a weeknight with no reservation was easy, though. Two small gripes were the inside was quite cold (even as someone who liked the AC at full blast) and smelled very strongly of cleaning solution, ruining the ambiance inside quite a bit. Otherwise, pretty good sushi for the Franklin/Brentwood area, awesome sake menu and service, chill vibes out on the patio!

Yelp
Best sushi in Nashville & Franklin. Hands down. Very cool fun vibe. Large space with lots of energy. Great staff. It's now one of my regular spots. The hot rock is SO good. The beef melts in your mouth. All the rolls are great. My favorite is the hamachi crudo. They also have a great happy hour menu and prices.

Lisa T.

Yelp
Very nice aesthetics and a cool music vibe for a relaxing meal. Lucas, my server, helped me pick my menu to include charred edamame, a tuna tower and a Philadelphia roll with smoked salmon. The charred edamame is very flavorful, and I loved the tuna tower most of all. Overall, a very nice meal on a drizzly Wednesday afternoon.

Yelp
Love love sushi - excellent service - came here to celebrate my birthday last year - a big thank you to a wonderful friend of ours

Tim G.

Yelp
We were super happy to see a new destination for sushi in Franklin, and Blue Sushi Sake Grill did not disappoint. The space is pretty cool, with a very open feel, a variety of high and low tables, and a somewhat large outdoor dining area. Their menu is pretty extensive, which is great, although it can be a bit daunting with a variety of different sections. They do have a gluten-free menu, although there are additional items from the regular menu that could be modified if you can't have gluten. Our food was really good. The sushi rolls were great, and nice options in terms of flavors and textures. We did find that the service was a little slow and inattentive. The restaurant wasn't especially busy while we were there, and we saw wait staff wandering around, but it took a long time to get their attention when we needed something. Overall a good experience. The food is really good and the location is great, and hopefully we'll get more attentive service next time we stop in.

Sarah T.

Yelp
Food is always so good. We got (front to back) lion king, thriller, and cloud nine 2.0. All the rolls were so good. Have to get the crab ragoons 10/10. Service was great, super friendly and had great recommendations.

Camryn C.

Yelp
The food was yum, the service was top tier and the environment was fun! We split 5 sushi rolls: rainbow roll, lion king, spicy gringo Godzilla bomb & spider maki. SO GOOD! Definitely will be back. *we went for our anniversary and the staff all signed a card for us- so heartwarming!*

Capitán D.

Yelp
Gave Blue Sushi Sake Grill (cool Springs) another try because the food was terrific. My major criticism from the first visit was the cost of a Tito's and soda. Wasn't too happy with the management's response here defending the cost of operations and not addressing the reasonableness in pricing. Needles to say the cost has now been lowered to $13.00 a a round. While not the lowest price in town they seem to be more sensitive to claims of profiteering. The first visit was during their early days of operations. Now that they are established I am glad to be a return customer and look forward to another cup of the great Coconut Crab Soup.

Virtue H.

Yelp
Our server, Faith, was phenomenal! She was attentive, friendly, and made sure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we walked in, her warm demeanor set the tone for a great evening. I can't recommend this place enough - incredible food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service! We will definitely be back soon!

Dave C.

Yelp
The food, service, and ambiance are fantastic. Had lunch on a Sunday and as a first timer I'll return most definitely. I'll ask for Issac because he was so personable it made the time here more enjoyable.

Lindsey J.

Yelp
We've been so excited to try Blue Sushi Sake Grill Franklin! Visited for Happy Hour on a Saturday around 5 p.m. and waited just a brief moment before being seated. The space has vibrant, bold decor (infusing homages to Franklin and Japanese culture) and the ambiance is fun, young, and upbeat. The Happy Hour menu is much more extensive than your typical and we loved their Mango Crab Rangoons. We're looking forward to returning to try more rolls!

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Very appealing decor! The atmosphere is immediately inviting with the planters, gorgeous murals, large bonsai tree! I love that you can see the food prepared in the open kitchen! The menu is quite extensive with a QR code to take you to their Gluten free menu as well as daily specials. Being my first visit I wanted to order something I typically would elsewhere for comparison's sake - the Rainbow Roll. Also ordered their Rona roll. Both were absolutely delicious and very fresh although the rainbow roll was lacking in color (avocado mainly) Our server Brian was very attentive and pleasant. Will definitely be returning. Next time in the evening as I am certain it is beautifully lit!

Sierra B.

Yelp
Best sushi i've had in a long time. All of the food was fresh as can be and delicious! If you've ever seen the John Wick movie, that's what the vibe is like in this restaurant lol. Moody lights and lanterns make it feel cozy but modern. I will say the only downfall was how long it took to get service. We had a reservation for 6pm and didn't get drinks until 20 min. later. Took a while for us to be greeted at our table but they were kind to make sure we still had a wonderful time. anyways, it's due to how busy this place is and i totally understand why. it's a must try!

Matt 5.

Yelp
Blue Sushi is always consistent. Highlights today were Mango Crab Rangoon, Crab Soup, Amazon Roll and Spicy Gringo Roll. Great place for families and if you have young kids. They offer bento boxes for kids and they are good value. This is a great area in Cool Springs and easy to find parking.

Ashley U.

Yelp
Thjs is genuinely one of my favorite restaurants. They have an extensive sushi menu with responsibly sourced seafood and vegan options that are so yummy!! Also, the vibes are great and the wait staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. 100% you should go!

Sarah B.

Yelp
Yum yum yum! Great drinks and great food! Fun vibe inside! Service was fast and they knew a lot about the ingredients. I'd highly recommend the blue martini and white peach daiquiri. Hotel cali was our favorite roll at dinner. Fun night!

beth h.

Yelp
Kick Ass location, decor & the service was great. We had the Tidal Wave roll it is the bomb! Blue you have such a great new place but honestly, the music is WAY TOO LOUD ( even the servers were complaining they could not hear customers or each other). Not sure how often people will tolerate the music if they cannot hold a conversation. Please address this issue because you have the best sushi in Franklin! Cheers & thank you! P.S. of your 5 reviews to date 4 of them are complaining about the music being too loud. So, I am definitely not being a Karen!

Christela S.

Yelp
Blue is a great restaurant to dine in, but the female manager was very rude and made our experience uncomfortable. I thought managers were supposed to enhance the experience? Sushi was amazing though( We had the Thriller & Godzilla Bomb) and our server was pleasant.

Sarah T.

Yelp
Absolutely loved! Franklin needed a place like Blue and we are thankful they are here. A girlfriend and I went for a ladies night and had an absolute blast. The ambiance was fun. Music was definitely a bit loud. Food and was phenomenal!!! The house salad and miso soup were delicious. The rolls were out of this world. We are looking forward to coming back. I would not recommend bringing young kids. We both agreed between the music and the hustle bustle our littles may not do well but we'd bring our husbands Our server was Seth, and he was extremely knowledgeable and helped us pick out a great bottle of sake that complimented both our tastes. Mark was one of the managers we met and was very personable. All in all 5 stars and we are already planning another night

Karen R.

Yelp
This place has a great service, a great vibe and amazing sushi! Can't wait to go back!

Emily K.

Yelp
We tried the new Blue Sushi Sake Grill in Franklin (McEwen Northside) on their opening night tonight! First up, we tried the charred edamame (original/not spicy). It came out piping hot and was delicious. Nice char withh some maldon sea salt Next, my husband got the coconut crab soup, which he absolutely loved. It has curry, coconut milk, corn, sweet potatoes, and crab in it. Really good flavor! Then he tried the itchy seabass and Yellowtail Serrano. The itchy seabass was fantastic and is on a little bed of crab. Yellowtail serrano had a good kick to it (Serranos lol) and a nice presentation. I had two of the vegetarian sushi rolls- shiitake to me and the prince roll. The vegetarian sushi is so creative and even my husband, who avoids veggies, thought they were tasty. Both rolls were topped within fresh tempura veggies and were clearly right of the kitchen. We also ordered the dessert chocolate eggrolls to go, as payment for my parents watching our kids . Even 15ish minutes after we left, they were crispy, hot, and packaged well with all the accompaniments on the side. The ambience was a bit loud and club like, so I'm glad we left our kiddos at home. Drinks were good. We had issues with a wrong plate, delayed drinks, and a delayed dish, however, our server and the managers were committed to making it right. Given that it was the first night open to the public, the managers were definitely on it and could be seen buzzing around checking on tables or running food. They all came to our table in turns to check on us, see what brought us in, and ask for feedback. I did have one rude interaction with a staff member, when I walked the wrong way back from the bathroom (I even had asked a manager if I was ok to go that way first). They definitely have a few kinks to work out, but overall I loved it. This was my 3rd location that I have been to and I am very excited for this one!

Andrew P.

Yelp
What a great addition to the area. They are still working out a few kinks in the kitchen with regard to the timing of hot and cold items. The food is absolutely amazing! Service is incredible! John Wick vibes! Blue Sushi Sake Grill in Franklin. YOU must save room for dessert.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Jessica was great! She recommended the perfect drinks to complement our meal. She took great care of us. She was sweet, great personality and properly attentive. Thriller roll was wonderful. Cherry bomb was the bomb!

Collin L.

Yelp
Sushi an amazing Happy Hour experience, the best Sushi I have ever had and some really really good cocktails. Our waitress was amazing and made sure she explained everything to us

Roman C.

Yelp
Sushi lover here. Spoiled from growing up in California where the bar is set HIGH (Mikuni for Life!) This place exceeded my expectations! The atmosphere was great for date night. Massive building with tons of seating. It was a busy Saturday night but still plenty of room and no wait. We started with the Shishito Peppers and Brussels. LOADED with flavor. Wish the portions were a little bigger for the price but loved it overall. (Lick your plate good...) We had a few specialty rolls, with the Lion King being our fave. Looking up the rolls on Yelp (under Menu) and checking out the pictures was really helpful. Thrilled to have a reliable sushi spot in town, we'll definitely be back!

Tatum B.

Yelp
this was my first time here, and the first thing i noticed when we walked in was how pretty it was ! A little bit chilly so bring a cover up. we started with cucumber with seasoned sesame seeds and it was surprisingly super good. i definitely recommend that. we had 4 different kinds of sushi and two were super spicy and the other two weren't. My favorite was the "Crunchy Blue." The other ones we had were the "Hot popper," and the last two were a surprise me by our waiter ! the service was amazing. our server explained the menu perfectly, gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted, and was super funny. I recommend this location!

Teki L.

Yelp
Sushi was amazing! Server was attentive and knowledgeable. Lunch specials are reasonable. Will definitely go again!

Donna R.

Yelp
Super neat and energizing place for a rainy day sushi snack. Service and bar was great. Food was good too

Bria N.

Yelp
Such a cute vibe inside the restaurant. Very spacious seating. Our server was very knowledgeable and told us exactly where the fish came from, and knew how to answer our questions when navigating the menu. The yellowtail in the ponzu sauce was top tier. Drinks were tasty but boozy!

Vinnie E.

Yelp
Food awful Service pretty good Ambiance very good If you know anything about sushi this place stinks. My tuna and yellowtail was a sliver on top of rice. 2 of each The sashimi eel was okay. 4 pieces The biggest issue was we were 6 people and 3 had their meals 20 minutes before the other 3. Then the remaining 3 came out over a 10 minute period. Mine was last. The easiest order. And the California rolls have no imitation crab so rename it cucumber and rice. Publix has a better product

ryan r.

Yelp
Best sushi ever I got the LA roll and the mango crab regions and there so delicious! I went for dinner then lunch the next day!

Irma R.

Yelp
The food was great! We were there during happy hour which made it even better. We had the Crunchy LA and the Hippie rolls and the crab wontons and lettuce wraps. No drinks. The restaurant is very nice and the customer service was perfect.

Francis M.

Yelp
Probably the best sushi here in Franklin. Lots of choices on their menu. Wait staff attentive and helpful to suggest popular dishes.

Maggie C.

Yelp
I ordered the sake roll, sake toro nigiri, and the flamingo lingo. The sake toro was delicious but the two rolls were not fresh. The six of us spent about $300 after tip which is pretty expensive. The sencha tea was terrible. I don't think I would go back.

David J.

Yelp
We were greeted and taken to Our table right away. Our server introduced himself and went over the menu. He brought us back waters and I asked for the happy hour menu. He said we could scan the QR code and that would give us the happy hour menu. After that he disappears and we sat for 20 minutes while he was speaking to a co-worker. A few minutes later it was explained to us that he had to go to a birthday and we would have a new server. The new server was nice and took our order right away. The food took awhile and we could over hear the people at the table next to us complaining about the service. Our food finally came out one roll at a time with the appetizer coming out 2nd. The rolls were average and the Hawaiian roll wasn't edible. The server was nice enough to remove that from our bill. Very disappointing since the ambience was really good and our experience at the downtown Nashville location was good. I wouldn't recommend going to this location until they work out there issues.

Jessica H.

Yelp
Natalie and Cat are the best. We came with four kids and they accommodated everything- even the spilled drinks and it's so appreciated. The food was also delicious

Paul H.

Yelp
Yellowtail with jalapeño and ponzu excellent, Godzilla Bomb tasty, green eggs and Hama good flavor...

Sarah T.

Yelp
really good sushi with a nice atmosphere. they do not have bluefin tuna which is my favorite and popular at most sushi restaurants. the service was good. not as good as some local places but would recommend and try again as the menu was very large with many options

Victoria B.

Yelp
I'll never eat sushi anywhere else. The flavor combinations are like nothing I've experienced before. Maybe I've been living in a shell, idk but I wasn't expecting to love it this much. The beach, the lion king, Amazon, Thai hippy .. there are no words!! Ask for Marissa, she's wonderful

John S.

Yelp
Big let down!! Server came to the table after half the appetizers had been served to let 2 of us know they were out of our appetizer requests. So, it's bad enough they were out of appetizers at 5pm on as Saturday but to then wait 20 minutes after we ordered to let us know when entrees were almost ready....cmon get your sh*t together! Server had a chip on his shoulder and made no attempt to recover just blamed on kitchen and stood there with a smug look. We won't be back, there are so many better places in that area. Such a disappointment. After your response I did email you and you haven't replied.... In the future I suggest if you're going to try and make amends i suggest you follow through. I have no issue calling out BS lip service on here. My review just dropped another star
