The 26 Best Coffee Shops in Houston

"Few things are better than coffee and tacos in the morning, and Jonathan Elkins, a veteran Houston coffee professional formerly of Blue Tile Coffee, has opened a new coffee shop inside Heights taqueria Tio Trompo. Grab a craft pour-over coffee or espresso made with local roaster Amaya coffee to go along with solid breakfast tacos or al pastor tacos straight from the trompo." - Brittany Britto Garley

The 12 Best Coffee Shops In Houston

"Named for the eponymous blue tile street names found around Houston, Blue Tile Coffee in Washington Heights serves, you guessed it, coffee, and also some pastries. The open, high-ceiling space has lots of seating both in and outside, and it's right next to HEB, so a great way to either grab coffee and groceries, or contemplate dinner over an espresso. 11 Cafes And Coffee Shops For Doing Work In Houston

"Named for the eponymous blue tile street names found around Houston, Blue Tile Coffee serves, you guessed it, coffee, and pastries next to the HEB off Washington and Heights. The open, high-ceiling space has lots of seating and outlets, but as always, be aware you will likely need to park in the garage or drive back and forth gauntlet-style on the ground level to find a spot. Wifi can be spotty, but once you’re settled in, time flies by thanks to the flood of natural light and the quiet din of literally everyone else around you diligently typing on their keyboards." - chelsea thomas

Google
A Perfect Coffee Spot for a Quick Stop or a Slow Morning Blue Tile Coffee was a great find—ideal for grabbing something on the go, but also a cozy spot if you want to linger. It was our first time visiting, and we tried the cold brew (super smooth and mellow—a perfect intro to cold brew!) and the iced flat white, which had a well-balanced flavor that played nicely with the milk, yet remained strong. The space itself is airy and bright, with inviting shaded corners if you’re looking for something more low-key. The colors are calming, and the music hits just the right vibe for a coffee shop. Bonus: it’s tucked right next to HEB, Spotts Park, the Bayou, and downtown—making it an easy, breezy stop during a day out.

Google
2nd visit - Their coffee tastes as good as it look. This my new fav coffee spot in Houston. Service and atmosphere have improved greatly. I ordered my double vanilla oat milk flat white and it was divine. Here is some info on the espresso: Espresso - Mild Medium; Locally Roasted (Best Roaster in SE Texas) Taste - Creamy and smooth with no bitterness or aftertaste Note - Toasty, Nutty, Buttery + and hint of smokiness Crema - Glistening Please note it is adjacent to a busy HEB so keep that in mind. Plenty of parking in garage as well. When I come to Blue Tile, I’ve completed my grocery shopping and I’m not, not going to get my vanilla oat latte or flat white and enjoy whether I sip while there or get it to go. 1st visit - This place serves delicious medium roasted coffee; espresso with a top notch roaster I’m very familiar with. The customer service was a little off putting but the lady making the drinks when my husband and I were there, she was nice. The atmosphere was stiff and not inviting I also feel like latte art because I enjoy taking pictures and posting online to free promote businesses but this is not that big a deal. Would I come back, maybe….but as a native I know where to find good espresso in Houston along with service. I would come back for the coffee but not for the service.

Google
The experience is amazing and utterly chill when studying and working with a nice cup of matcha latte on the side. 🍵 The drinks are tasty and atmosphere is on top with a nice look outside giving that ultimate cafe vibe! Truly one of the best looking cafes you would totally want to visit sometime 👌🏼

Google
This is a lovely coffee shop! They have plenty of seating to sit and enjoy a coffee or pastry. I visited a few times and really enjoyed my coffee every time. The matcha latte and Viet coffee are both wonderful. The breakfast sandwiches are great, I especially enjoyed the egg white spinach feta sandwich.

Google
Stopped by the HEB and came here because we were a little thirsty. Got black iced tea (receipt said Earl Grey) and drip coffee. Tea was really good, with a great flavor. Coffee was also good. Atmosphere was comfortable and cozy. Service was fast and friendly. Convenient access to the HEB next door.

Google
This is a lovely shop with a quiet, cozy vibe. There is limited seating available and even more limited parking nearby. The decor, the friendliness of the staff, and the accessible layout and bathrooms is why I gave it a three. The chai and coffee aren't very good, unfortunately. This place is easy to miss. It is on the corner near HEB closest to Truth BBQ.

Google
Had been wanting to check out this coffee shop. Came in and bought an iced vanilla latte. It was pretty good. Although I thought it was a bit small for the price. Next time I'll try other drinks. And it looks like they have good breakfast food. I like the layout and how it is decorated. There's a lot of room inside and it's nice and quiet. (Aug. 7)

Google
This is my absolute go-to for coffee and my morning croissant or breakfast tacos! Everything is so fresh and incredibly tasty! I come here several times a week and it’s fantastic every time! The service is top notch and it’s such a beautiful spot! The patio is perfect for the nice weather days here in Houston! If you’re looking for your next favorite local coffee spot, look no further!

Yelp
Drinks were amazing perfect taste. One latte they added Jinka Premium Turmeric paste a product in the healthy living section of H‑E‑B was a absolute banger. Service was great. Nice music and nice view outside as well.

Yelp
Service was fast. The place was cute and modern. There's around 10-20 people worth of seating. And, there's a decent amount of outlets. Coffee was yummy! And they have a variety of options. There is HEB right there so parking isn't too bad.

Yelp
After an initially hyped opening with plenty of buzz (#1), Blue Tile Coffee was supposed to be the anti-IG coffee establishment with a future of high quality pastries, tacos, and craft beer. Located right next to an HEB in the Heights, it been a spot to get a little work done, a coffee date spot, and occasional meeting destination ... before a serious grocery run. The minimal interior has worked well for them. Plenty of natural lighting, comfortable seating, and being in a central location has played a big part in their success. I appreciate their Wi-Fi, clean bathrooms, and extensive outdoor seating. Service has been great on some days and lukewarm on many others. I've had a good number of drinks here and there have been some standouts as well as some low lights. The cafe au lait and nitro cold brew have been the most consistently solid, with the latter not served over ice, unlike the regular cold brew. Their Vietnamese iced coffee hasn't been my favorite and even feels a bit overpriced at $6. Another miss has been their iced matcha latte, which feels a bit watered down at times. Food is a lot more limited than I would have hoped, but in the past the pastries have reigned supreme, while the breakfast tacos leave much to be desired at $4.50 each. I had high hopes for the latter, but there hasn't been a lot of movement here. If not for the ambiance, I do think that there isn't much to help distinguish them from other major coffee-based establishments but I'm hopeful they find their ways here. For now it'll be Wi-Fi and the occasional drink. ___________ (#1) Not just the coffee kind.

Yelp
Love this coffee shop, but be warned it's located where an HEB is and it's an absolute parking nightmare especially on the weekend! After fighting for parking I almost gave up on my coffee fix haha. I'm glad we stuck around as the matcha and coffee were great. I really appreciate they have a short menu. It's simple and straight to the point so the service is efficient. The baristas are nice and the place is a great meeting spot for friends and you can study/work. If you can get parking definitely stop by!

Yelp
Really enjoyed their chai latte! Inside is quite large and beautiful with good amount of seating. Parking is horrendous though & cashier has an attitude.

Yelp
Very chill ambiance music loud but nothing crazy if you wear headphones . A lot of space to sit and device is quick . The food I did not try but they have a bit to choose from highly recommended for coffee and if you got work to do . Service is quick .

Yelp
I got the chai latte with oat and it is way too sweet. It does taste like either from powdered or syrup. Wish it was more spicy.

Yelp
Service sucks booty sorry. The guy forgot about my order and i had to go up and remind him because he was busy talking to other people while also taking my order. This coffee was almost $7 and it sucked im sorry. This place is nice to study if u live in the area and don't mind fighting for parking. I only came here cause i had already invited someone there before realizing it was attached to the heb. It was a nice place to study in but that's really it. Very calm inside but u can def find better

Yelp
I finally got to try Blue Tile cause I had a friend visiting who wanted a place to grab coffee and do some work. There are plenty of seats inside, but each person doing work or studying can take up the majority of the small tables with their laptops and papers. You can always sit outside, but it was a bit hot and humid. Iron chairs aren't as comfortable either. Parking can be tricky. You're lucky if you can find a spot near the Arlo Buffalo Heights apartments, but there's also a parking garage and HEB's lot. We were lucky to find a couple open spots at HEB on a Monday, Memorial Day holiday. The line to order definitely got longer after we ordered. I was going to try the mushroom danish, but my friend ordered the ham and cheese and also wanted to try the raspberry matcha cube. We dined in, so the pastries were ready on a plate, and the coffee came out about 5 minutes after. I ordered the vanilla latte with oat milk. I was torn for flavor options, but he said vanilla was the most popular. The coffee was hotter but not too hot that you'd burn your tongue. Catalina's the other day wasn't as hot. The raspberry matcha cube was hard to eat. It's stacked too high that taking a bite would be awkward. I cut it in half, and that also was a task with the croissant flakes flying everywhere. Inside the cube is a matcha filling and raspberry jam. The raspberry flavor was good. Tasted homemade. Matcha can be a bit grainy in texture but wasn't bad. I will opt for a different type of croissant next time. I'll definitely be back since it's close to where I live, and I enjoyed their latte with art design.

Yelp
A great place to study and get work done! Fairly quiet environment with lots of natural sunlight and plenty of seating. Service was extremely fast and we got our drinks within minutes. I tried the honey lavender latte and iced honey rose matcha latte. Highly recommend either drink!

Yelp
I'm visiting Houston for a week and am impressed by the sheer number of interesting coffee shop options within the loop. I plan to check out a few of them and am starting with Blue Tile this afternoon. It's a very comfortable and aesthetically appealing spot, but I'm not partial to the espresso, which has a very citrusy and almost sour profile (I'm sure others like it just fine; it's just not my preference). The wifi wasn't working on this visit, but I'll presume that's an infrequent event. Parking was a hassle to figure out, until I realized I could just use the HEB garage and walk down.
google avatar

Juliet H.

Yelp
Really great coffee here! The service was somewhat slow as there was only one gentleman working on our visit, but he was churning things out decently. The vibe is definitely coffeehouse chic! Enjoyed my first visit to Blue Tile and the strawberry + pistachio croissant is top tier! Cheers!

Yelp
Coffee shop on Washington! This one is located in the same buulding as HEB. I wasn't sure where to park. I didn't see dedicated spots. but if you plan ahead, you could probably use HEB garage parking and walk. Street parking is available. HEB also has a small parking up front but it's mainly used for shoppers. It's a decent space to take a break or co-working. As usual I like to post on the high seating by the window. It's fun to people watch! It also has sofas for more comfy seating. Their wifi is strong. Very quiet location. May be a good spot if you would like to shop for groceries afterwards!

Yelp
This is a cute coffee shop that shares the same building w HEB. There are several styles of seating, whether you're there for an informal date, hang out, meeting, or just want to get your headphones on and get to working. There's also outside seating. There is music, but if you're not listening, it does easily blend into the background. High ceilings, and helps(?) With the acoustics. I appreciated that they gave me hot chocolate even though it wasn't on the menu. $4 +tax, but it's 2023, right?!? Everything is expensive. Limited selection on food, mainly pastries. Again, HEB is right there, though I'm sure you can't bring their food inside The team behind the counter was very nice. (Might be a no loitering tactic), but the wifi pw is on the receipt, so you have to buy to use their wi-fi. It feels a bit extra, honestly. I asked for the wifi pw (since I opted to forego the receipt), and first, I was told plainly, "It's on the receipt." When I mentioned I didn't take it, I was handed another receipt. 'Is the pw a secret?' We'll, never know. After all that, I wasn't even able to connect. Thankfully, the HEB WiFi is strong enough to use Overall, it was a great place. Ok.. gotta go.

Yelp
Thanks to Yelp, we found this gem in Houston (across Truth BBQ and located in same building as HEB - popular grocery in Houston). If you are a coffee lover, this place is as authentic as you can get from the coffee beans, coffee prep and atmosphere - you will pay close if not the same as SBux but why? Let us all support local businesses and I guarantee that you will have the best coffee and experience Here are some helpful tips and info: 1. Parking - free if you can find one in front and if not, plenty in the parking structure. When you descend the escalator, it will take you to the entrance of HEB, find a single door (made of wood) that will lead you to Blue Tile Coffee. 2. Service - excellent and we lucked out for the owner, Jonathan (we found out later on after chatting with him) was at the counter and made our coffee. What a nice guy! 3. Ambience - high ceilings and lots of natural light, very relaxing vibe 4. Coffee - hubby had cortado (Spanish in origin and basically two espressos with steamed milk) Cappuccino - one espresso, steamed and foam milk Love, love, love and throughly enjoyed them! This a newly opened coffeehouse and highly recommended for its cup of java!

Yelp
Vibe- This is a nice coffee shop that's fairly new off of Washington Avenue. It sits next to a HEB. There's about 6 tables outside and about 7 tables inside. There's also 2 bar areas and a couch and a few seats (near the couch) to sit at as well! Customer service- It was ok. Food/drinks- I got a hot matcha latte to start my visit and ended my visit with a hot chai tea latte, they were both delicious. Parking- So there are spots (about 10) right outside of the shop (parallel parking) on the side near the apartments across the way. There's also a garage next to the shop that you can consider parking in :)

Yelp
Me: oh I've been here before . Also me (upon arrival): nope, I certainly have not. I was incredibly confused upon arrival as the shop is attached to the local HEB...is it the same coffee shop previously attached to the San felipe HEB prior to closing down? Attached to the local HEB means, attached to the local HEB limited parking (on the weekends), means attached to the local HEB dual shoppers and coffee drinkers, means attached to the local HEB traffic. Additionally, the location is across from atleast three apartment complexes of various price points. This being said, you receive a gaggle of company, from students, to hobbyists, to daters, to professionals, to cyclist, to folks patiently awaiting their friends or family to finish shopping. The floor to ceiling windows were the standout for me personally. Apart from those, the service was just meh- only making eye contact to ask me what I want, only one out of two patrons answered when I asked if they'd ordered (considering they were hovering around the counter blocking the view to the menu), sound carries based on the layout, the coffee was...just fine, there are minimal chargers for studying, extra toilet paper (yay) but no hooks for women's bags in the restrooms, there was a biker openly vaping on the couch, and the WiFi wouldn't show up on my computer (which may be more of a me than them problem). This one's not for me personally, and I would recommend it to the hobbyist not the studier (unless you're within walkable distance of course), but I certainly wish them the best and likely will pick up a cup of liquid energy if visiting this HEB in the future.

Yelp
My husband and I were running errands and wanted to try this coffee place. I got an iced latte with lavender. It was okay.. kinda super sweet. Parking is annoying since it's located right next to HEB. We ended up parking in the garage and walking down to the shop. Plenty of outside and inside tables. The coffee shop was actually very cute. They have affordable pastries, but I didn't feel welcomed by the baristas. They were a little dismissive, and not friendly, but we got our coffee and left.
google avatar

Liz N.

Yelp
I've been waiting for this coffee shop to open for a while now! I came before getting groceries at H‑E‑B. I really missed the roastery so I'm glad there's another coffee shop in the vicinity! I opted for their cafe de olla latte, which was delicious! Coffee was bold and smooth and the cafe de olla syrup wasn't too sweet. Employees were really nice. They were packed with people studying or just hanging out. Super cute on the inside. Would def come back!
google avatar

Yelp
If you're looking for a new hole in the wall coffee shop this is the spot! It's prefect for if you need to study or do work. Lots of natural light and places to sit. I got the morning bun and a iced decaf caramel latte w oat milk, both were delicious. I will come again :)
google avatar

Brett N.

Yelp
Why 3 stars? Because my nitro was just okay. --- --- --- My experience here was brief, like it usually is for coffee shops around. I walked in, saw that nitro was on the menu, and stopped looking at the menu. I ordered myself one-a-dem, black, and started sucking it down. It was nice as creamy, as nitros tend to be, but the flavor of the beans was not a match for what I was hoping for. It was a bit aggressive with a weird flavor profile, which was a bummer. I forced it down because I desperately needed the caffeine, but I would definitely opt for alternative coffee options in the future.
google avatar

Paula Y.

Yelp
First time here, I love the location and the ambience of this place! I had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and a vanilla latte. Everything was delicious. The service was fast and smooth, everything came out, hot and fresh.
google avatar

Ariane B.

Yelp
Definitely quiet enough to work at but there weren't enough outlets. Also I'm pretty sure I paid $7 for Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk that was named "iced chai." It was literally just cinnamon and milk
google avatar

Iryna P.

Yelp
Great coffee spot right outside of downtown Houston. It's nice and quaint and the staff is super nice and friendly. I enjoyed my morning latte to kick off the day and their matcha raspberry croissant was delicious .. not what I had expected but the flavours worked well together.
google avatar

MC F.

Yelp
Excellent coffee shop! Lots to love here, starting with the floor-to-ceiling windows and clean atmosphere featuring soaring ceilings with a flicker of cool industrial in its exposed ductwork against concrete and steel. There are several seating options, including "living room" style arrangements, exterior-facing bar-seating, and cafe tables. I easily found the perfect spot at an empty table up against the large windows. I had an iced cold brew and a sausage croissant. I was hoping for a larger selection of food. Nevertheless, I did enjoy my coffee. The croissant part of my dish was wonderfully flaky and delicious; however, I was disappointed that the "sausage" didn't seem like a sausage at all. It looked and tasted like a hotdog. The pistachio croissant that I saw at the counter looked wonderful, and I may try that next time. Note: this coffee shop is located adjacent to an HEB, so getting out of the parking lot during rush hour was a bit if a bear. Now I know to make my escape sooner!
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
Great study spot! Drinks: 7/10 - We got the matcha latte and Vietnamese coffee. The matcha latte was on the sweeter side, but I really liked how the matcha flavor came through. The Vietnamese coffee was great and the coffee was quite bold and strong. Ambience: 8/10 - We came on weekday and there was no wait. The decor is very simple and modern. Parking: 7/10 - We luckily found a parking spot right outside the coffee shop. However, it can get busy at times, so you may have to park in the HEB garage. Studying/working: 8/10 - It is a quiet place with lots of natural lighting if you come during the day. I enjoyed doing work here.
google avatar

Megan K.

Yelp
This place is eerily quiet, but the outdoor seating felt appropriate for conversations. I tried a mocha and a dirty chai, and was pleased with both. Their vegan breakfast taco was pretty solid as well (coming from someone who isn't vegan, that feels like high praise). My friends had the bacon breakfast sandwiches and loved them. Unsure what golden milk is, but sounds like Gwenyth Paltrow might drink it. We went here twice in 2 days while I was visiting, so they must be doing something right (or be conveniently located next to an HEB). You decide.
google avatar

Yelp
Disclaimer: I am NOT a coffee person - so if please ignore drink section if looking for that. TLDR: Very good matcha latte, great service, good ambiance - would come back. Drink: Iced Matcha Latte 4.5/5 Good matcha, perfect level of sweetness for me (I do not like sweet drinks very much) - barista told me he added a little bit of simple syrup. Only complaint is that the cup it was served in was a blue plastic cup (reminds me of Cici's Pizza ) so it wasnt very pretty. You can see the water i refilled my cup with. I do think it's a tad expensive for how much I got... but it's pretty close to market price so ‍. Service: 5/5 Super sweet and attentive staff, saw them sanitizing tables after ppl left which is amazing for a coffee shop. Fairly regularly asking if they can help take cups/dishes off ppl's tables. Ambiance: 4.5/5 Lighting is SO GOOD. Variety of seating - some perfect for working, others great for reading or chatting. Music could be maybe 2 notches lower, but still much quieter than most coffee places I've been to for studying. Wifi worked fine for me. Bathrooms (single stall, not gender neutral) are clean. If it was more crowded, you may have a difficult time finding outlets. For the marble small tables, there's only one outlet on either side of the booth side (so the middle tables don't have outlet access). Hours: (edited) For this week they're closing at 6, within 2-3 weeks they'll be going to full hours (8pm). However, one of the doors say 7pm, so I'm not sure if thats just not updated or if the owner (who spoke with me) is still experimenting with hours. Parking: Since right next to an HEB, it's a little hectic, but at least its free!

Yelp
Amazing interior and coffee quality!! This space has amazing natural light and a nice social vibe which I personally love for working. My latte was perfectly nutty and had good flavor - my only critique is that the latte art was non existent, hopefully this will improve. I'll for sure keep coming back mainly because of all of the above and the parking!! Endless parking in the HEB garage upstairs. Just be cautious that only a few of the tables have outlets for charging. Come with a charged laptop.

Mariel T.

Yelp
So glad this opened up right next to the H‑E‑B! We got iced lattes with lavender and the syrup was perfect! We'll be back to fuel our next grocery shopping spree :)
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great little spot to pop into when grabbing groceries from HEB next door. Photos line the walls of city life and it tends to be nice and quite. Lots of people seem to use this as a place to work and I don't blame them. My coffee is always piping hot and well made. They sell massive breakfast sammies and usually have some nice looking pastry's as well. They have some cozy soft seating which I appreciate. I don't know why so many coffee shops only have cafe tables these days. Bring back the couches!!!
google avatar

Crystal O.

Yelp
Cutest little coffee shop! Friendly staff and great atmosphere! We ordered the Matcha and Chia Latte and they were delicious! Will definitely visit again when in the area!

Yelp
I was not impressed with the coffee and I was disappointed by the minimal bakery options.

Yelp
I have been meaning to try this place for awhile now mainly because I was on the hunt for a good london fog. I arrived at the place and it look very beautiful with all the natural light. I got 2 matcha lattes, one with oat milk. As the barista was making the drink, i noticed that she didn't rise the whisk she use to whisk the other drink that has whole milk. As someone who is severely lactose intolerant it raised lots of red flags. After making the drink, I told her about it and she made a new drink. The matcha ended up not even tasting the best and after spending $14.34, I was expecting better quality. If you are coming here, I don't recommend the matcha latte at all, the person I came here with and I agreed that it was our least favorite matcha latte. However, this place is a great place to study. If you lactose intolerant or have a milk allergy, please be careful !

Yelp
Coffee shop hopping comes with the advantage of bumping into a friend! I tried the dirty chai latte while a friend was having a vanilla latte. To commemorate the fun occasion and tasty drinks, we also decided to split an Apple fritter. All items were very delicious! The dirty chai definitely delivered with a strong espresso taste along with the creamy chai flavor. This spot also has ample seating for your weekly friend catch-up, daily study sesh or stop over prior to grocery shopping! I'd definitely recommend stopping by on your next coffee hunt.
google avatar

Ning Z.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite coffee shops to study and work. There are huge floor to ceiling windows that make up half of the walls, which let in a lot do natural sunlight. The environment is casual but clean, and relatively quiet. There is a HEB right next door so it's easy to get your grocery shopping done afterwards as well. The coffee and pastry here are very solid and staff is pleasant. The WiFi password is on the receipt so make sure you keep it for want to use wifi!
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic new Coffee Shop corner Heights Blvd & Washington. Beautiful, airy space just far enough away from downtown. Cappuccino pictured outstanding - creamy & rich flavor. Using Amaya beans. Good meeting spot &/or chill with laptop. Definite add to my circuit! Parking street or attached garage.
google avatar

Elissa N.

Yelp
I've tried several items here so far: croissant, breakfast taco, and different varieties of lattes - none were particularly impressive. I'm not really a coffee fiend but even I could tell that the coffee was too sour. It's not a really good place to study - most of the power outlets have been purposefully covered up. The owner is only friendly to certain kinds of people. Rude and stared me down like an eagle every time I came in, though.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
The matcha latte was sooooo good!! I got it with almond milk and sweetened with honey. 10/10!

Phong T.

Yelp
Newly opened cafe next to HEB. The menu is still being dialed in, ambiance is calm n relaxing, latte was great. Service was friendly n attentive. Convenient location with plenty of parking for a quick caffeine break during the day or before/after grocery shopping.

Yelp
Get the Spanish coffee, if you like bitter lattes this is for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
I love the floor to ceiling windows and all the natural lighting it provides. The vibes in this shop are simply incredible - the lighting fixtures, the seating, the plants, etc. I got the chai latte which came with lots of spices sprinkled on top and it was delicious. Yelp
I've been coming here since it opened and the coffee is excellent, the baristas have always been friendly and accommodating.

Yelp
I never leave these types of reviews but this place has annoyed tf out of me. A friend of mine sent me a TikTok clip of an egg sandwich and strawberry pistachio croissant from this place...the food looked immaculate so I wanted to check it out. I came at like 3pm on a weekday and they didn't have any croissants left but could make a breakfast taco. I said cool and had the taco. I came back at 8am during the week and again they didn't have any croissants bc the shipment hadn't come in yet...I said cool again and opted for the taco. I came back a THIRD time at 2p on Sunday and they said they'd just closed their kitchen and did only had pastries available (no strawberry pistachio croissant ofc). The kitchen is open and closed at random times and constantly runs out of stuff. It's annoying af.

Yelp
Cool vibes in here Have a lot of cool milks and was pretty quick about the service. Location is cool, but kinda hard to reach.

Yelp
Blue tile coffee initially started out as artisanal coffee shop with high quality coffee, food and pastries. The last several weeks the quality has downgraded to an overpriced Starbucks. The pastries are no longer made by a renowned pastry chef. The kitchen is closed. The tacos and bacon and egg and cheese croissants which were very tasty and affordable no longer available on the menu. The drink menu prices went up which makes their iced latte one of the most expensive in town. With the lack of parking from H‑E‑B and the obvious downgrade in quality why go here now? Catalina coffee is down the street, boomtown 5 minutes away in the heights. I will miss what this place originally was.

Yelp
Great study spot. Music isn't loud and the vibes are just amazing! Got the strawberry pistachio crossaint and it was delicious. Latte was great as well. Friendly service

Yelp
It's a cute place with lots of light, decent amount of seating and I found parking RIGHT outside of the place. Unfortunately, I did not stay long enough to order anything or even sit down because it smelled extra funky in there. I was looking for a coffee shop to work and study and I absolutely would not have been able to sit with that smell. Maybe next time I hit up HEB I'll run into Blue Tile to grab coffee and then get out.

Yelp
Had such a pleasant experience at this new coffee shop! I got the latte with oat - smooth and robust. Also would definitely give the apple pie a try- had perfect amount of sweetness for my taste. Will be back to try more of their pastries c:
