Bluebird Woodfired Steakhouse

My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience at The Bluebird in Banff! We decided to sit at the bar and received incredible service from Adam and Lee—they were friendly, attentive, and made the whole evening even more enjoyable. I ordered the steak and scallops, and it was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. And whatever you do, don’t skip dessert. The key lime pie is an absolute must and truly to die for! The atmosphere was awesome and made for such a fun and relaxed night out. Overall, this was the best dining experience I’ve had in Banff. Highly recommend!

Dining at Bluebird Wood-Fired Steakhouse was an absolute 5-star experience from start to finish. The atmosphere inside is incredibly warm and inviting — the wood-fired concept, cozy lighting, and comfortable setting make it the perfect place to relax after a day in Banff. The food was phenomenal. The steak and scallops are hands-down THE BEST. The steak was cooked perfectly with a beautiful sear and incredible flavor, and the scallops were an unforgettable experience and cooked to perfection. You can truly taste the quality and care in every bite. At one point, a couple of our dishes came out slightly cold. We mentioned it to the staff, and this is where Bluebird really showed why it’s a top-tier restaurant. The manager stepped in immediately, handled the situation professionally, and made sure everything was taken care of on the bill. The level of service and accountability was outstanding — exactly what you expect from a 5-star establishment.

I had an incredible dining experience at Bluebird Woodfired Steakhouse in Banff. The steak was easily one of the top five steaks I’ve had in my life — perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and clearly prepared with great care. The wood-fired cooking really added a depth of flavor that set it apart from other steakhouses. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy a special meal after exploring Banff. Every detail, from the food to the overall ambiance, felt thoughtfully done. Josie’s service was absolutely perfect. She was attentive, friendly, and professional without ever being intrusive. Her recommendations were spot-on and truly elevated the entire experience. It’s rare to find service that complements great food this well. I would highly recommend Bluebird Woodfired Steakhouse to anyone visiting Banff — whether you’re celebrating something special or simply looking for an unforgettable steak dinner. Had the pleasure of celebrating my son 17th birthday here. Our server was Liam and OMG what great customer service and experience did he provide for my family of 5. The prime rib was great but the key lime pie was the pièce de résistance

After recommendations from a number of friends, we finally got around to having a meal at Bluebird. We booked our time for the happy hour fondue menu. It was excellent. The base fondue came with sourdough bread cubes, fingerling potatoes and a small bowl of gherkins. From the add-on, we picked the prime rib, broccolini and roasted carrots. We tasted the all the items, standalone, before dipping in the cheese. All were very tasty and could stand on their own in any meal. Dipped in the cheese mixture took them to another level. It was a classic blend of Emmental and Gruyère in pot, kept over a warming burner, so the cheese remained nice and melty. The portion sizes were excellent and we left the meal feeling quite full. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Banff.

Was here over Christmas holidays '25. We went first on the 26th in the evening for dinner and again on the 28th for breakfast. The food both times was beyond wonderful, steaks cooked to perfection. The bacon appetizer was to die for. The breakfast we had was also amazing. Probably the best French toast I've ever had. Service both times was great , even though they were so busy. Only issue I'd say is parking but parking in Banff is miserable everywhere. I will definitely be back over and over. Thanks for 2 great experiences 💕

Walked in on a busy evening and the staff were very kind to seat us - expected an hour wait for the kitchen but it was worth the wait! The steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare)! And extremely tasty. The vegan risotto was a delightful surprise and we aren’t vegans and it was so flavourful and well textured that we could not tell that it has no cheese in it! Would happily order it as a main again! Broccolini was well grilled and generous! Great service as well. One of the more memorable meals that we had in banff ❤️

It is a lovely spot. Very cozy atmosphere, GREAT service. My server Sierra was very professional, sweet and caring. We ordered a bluebird salad, 20 oz ribeye and some mushrooms on the side. Everything tasted amazing, except the steak — we ordered medium rare but what we got was very overcooked. The steaks still tasted great, but it was definitely not a medium rare… medium or medium well done. I would still love to visit again because the service was great as well as the atmosphere and other food!
