The 10 Best Seafood Markets In Boston - Boston - The Infatuation

"If sushi-grade tuna is your thing, Bluefin in Jamaica Plain is your spot. They also have nice cuts of salmon, perfectly cooked picked lobster, sea bass, and more. For less labor-intensive meals, Bluefin offers shucked oysters and lobster rolls to go, along with a small selection of fancy tinned fish, chips, and bougie sodas. And if you’re looking for something specific, you can order it on their website." - joel ang, tanya edwards

The 2024 Eater Boston Holiday Gift Guide | Eater Boston

"Serves a side of feminism alongside soft scallops and tangy lobster rolls; in its recently opened Jamaica Plain shop you'll spot local artist Kyle Browne’s intricate prints of oysters and vulvas, or "bivulvas," often bedazzled with jewels. Browne’s original artworks—prints, drawings, sculptures, and wearable art—are available for purchase on her website, at the shop, and also at EBO & Co. Grocery in East Boston." - Celina Colby

**A Seafood Paradise in Jamaica Plain – A Hidden Gem You Can't Miss!** Prepare to have your taste buds taken on an unforgettable journey! We recently stumbled upon a culinary treasure in Jamaica Plain, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of a revelation. From the moment we stepped into this charming new seafood spot, it was clear we were in for something extraordinary. Let’s talk about **the lobster rolls**—oh, where do I even begin? The **Maine version** is a delicate masterpiece, perfectly showcasing the sweet, succulent lobster in all its glory. And then there’s the **warm butter version**—a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth experience that feels like a love letter to your palate. The lobster was so fresh and crisp, the kind of freshness that transports you straight to the sea with every bite. But the real showstopper? The **lobster bisque**. It was a bowl of liquid luxury—rich, velvety, and bursting with flavor. Every spoonful was a warm embrace, and the generous chunks of fresh lobster that dotted the soup were the unexpected surprise that sent it into a league of its own. In the heart of Jamaica Plain, we’ve discovered an **amazing gem**, a place that completely exceeded every expectation. Whether you're a seafood connoisseur or just looking for an unforgettable meal, this spot has earned a permanent place in our hearts—and stomachs. Don’t walk, **run** to this gem and savor the flavors of the ocean like never before!

A first rate fishmonger in Jamaica Plain! Top quality and good variety of fresh seafood at reasonable prices. The limited takeout and in store foods are good too. Support local small business at this unique store.

I tried their lobster roll with butter... Delicious. Satisfying. Warm. With just the perfect blend of butter/lobster, lobster/bread. Served at the perfect temperature, giving it the perfect texture. Plus the service is fast and friendly. Well worth the price. I will be going back the next time I'm in the area.

Super sweet, clean and fresh oysters on the half shell 6 for $18. Lobster roll (full, $33) was slightly pricey compared to others in the city, but definitely had a LOT of lobster meat. Very delicious, not overcooked. The butter was a good touch too!

I got a fish sandwich and a cup of clam chowder. They both were delicious and the fish was so tasty, on a fresh tasty bun. Chowder was hot and delicious. Highly recommend them. A little pricey but really good.

We were at JP Licks a few weeks ago and saw Bluefin across the street. It was new to us, and I checked out the menu on the website. My husband has A Thing for salmon BLT and frankly I do too, so when we saw that and salmon burgers listed we knew we'd want to check it out. Yesterday we had our chance to go in for a late lunch/early dinner around 3 pm. We were the only people dining in, but other folks stopped on to get fresh oysters (and mussels?) to go. The atmosphere is pleasant; it's a small space, but they've made it feel airy and open. The person at the counter was friendly and the service was great. I didn't order a drink with my sandwich and when I went back to him to buy a can of soda or something, he asked if we'd like glasses of ice water. (Not providing it by default makes sense to me, since some people don't want it and it's just wasteful then!) I got the salmon BLT and my husband decided to try the burger. They came with a simple side salad of greens with a mild dressing, maybe just oil and salt? The sandwiches were delicious. The BLT was probably the better of the two but that's only because smoked salmon is so good. Whatever sort of bread they use on the BLT makes exceptional toast too. The prices were comparable to similar fare in the area and the portions were good. I didn't get any photos of the space or our food this time, but we plan to go back and will try to remember. I've seen a number of little places come and go in that location, but I hope Bluefin will be there to stay.

Great little seafood spot offering lunch and dinner! Everything tastes really fresh and is made to order. Also has a mini fish counter and tinned provisions/sauces.
