Google
Bluestone is the perfect destination for our morning walk on the weekends. We were seated immediately outdoors and taken well care of by the GM Kareem. Tons of breakfast and lunch options. We started off with the blueberry blast smoothie, green juice and lattes. Then split the breakfast burrito and blueberry pancakes. Everything was delicious! Glad to have this go to spot in the neighborhood.

Google
Amazing food and drinks! I stopped by for breakfast and had the pancakes and a matcha, both were delicious. The atmosphere is super cozy and makes for a great spot to sit and get some work done. The staff was incredibly friendly. Definitely would come back!

Google
The food was awesome. Our server was really helpful in providing details about the offerings. My only issue with the atmosphere is that dogs are allowed (on a leash) to come into the restaurant. That breakfast sandwich was YUMMY!

Google
Our first stop for food in DC. We were very pleased! The food was terrific. We were seated quickly (on a Sat am) and served fast! The food was delightful. The GM, Kareem (the short version), came over and we talked for a long time. He was so gregarious and hospitable. There was something for everyone in our family of 5 that has varying preferences. It was nice to have breakfast options and lunch style stuff available. I loved my blueberry and PB smoothie.

Google
I happened upon this cozy cafe as I was running errands. I went in for an iced coffee to go and ended up enjoying brunch at the bar. The staff, including the GM, Kareem, were very friendly and attentive. I had several gluten-free options to choose from, and the kitchen staff accommodated my requests. I look forward to returning for more lemon curd and avocado toast!

Google
BBBOOYYYYY I HAD A TIME!! The food was not only stunningly plated, but delicious. I had the avocado toast with bacon — Delectable! Lemon ricotta pancakes — bussin! I finished with a protein smoothie which was refreshing and also beautifully served. The best part was the hospitality and the friendliness of the staff and manager. It felt very warm and like family. Also — beautiful patio with shade and fans to catch a nice summer breeze.

Google
We had such an unexpectedly great breakfast here. After a negative experience at Ted's Bulletin on 14th street and being left hungry while looking for a new breakfast spot, we ran across this place on our walk and we're invited in for a comfortable and lovely experience. I loved the ordering app they use where each person as the table can order their meal and pay for it all at once! And we loved our drinks and meals!!

Google
The brunch was absolutely amazing! You have to try all their sandwiches. They’re so good. I’ve been coming here for two years.

Yelp
I love this location and the staff. I've been on a hunt for pumpkin spice lattes at different coffee shops and this one was delicious. The same guy always makes my drinks and never makes a mistake . I didn't know they did a happy hour and I am going to go try the different Gins they have. I love the ambiance at this location. Keep the same great vibes and customer service.

Yelp
Is it a coffee shop? Is it a restaurant? A bit of both but probably neither. It has a weird seating arrangement, reminiscent of a restaurant but it's noisy. Why does it feel so bland? The colors? The noise of the chair when they are dragged on the cement floor? Not sure, but this is not the Sbucks alternative I was after.

Yelp
We had a great brunch at Bluestone Lane in Logan Circle a few weeks ago. Such a nice spot! I liked my Grilled Corn Summer Salad with fried egg and halloumi cheese add-ons, so much that I tried to duplicate it when I got home from our DC trip. My husband and I sat inside to stay cool, but there is outdoor seating also available. Our waiter was friendly when she sat us and explained how to order - scan the QR, order and pay, and food is brought out to you. Our waiter checked in on us throughout the meal, as well as a man who was possibly the manager or owner. We will definitely be back to Bluestone Lane next time we are in Logan Circle!

Yelp
Emma & I started the morning with @bluestonelane in logan circle, washington, dc feat. the BL Burrito with eggs, avocado, sheep's milk feta, crispy potato & guajillo sauce (need to eat more breakfast burritos in 2025) and a short stack of pancakes and side of bacon for the gymnasts ‍SOLID fast-casual food that didn't leave us feeling gross

Yelp
Its decent. Its a nice little spot that is cozy and quiet. Service was good. Not super impressed with the food or menu. It wasn't bad or anything. Its perfectly a-ok. Would come here again. But wouldn't go out of my way to come here. So yeah, 3 stars.

Yelp
Latia is the BEST!!! Ask for her. She is a true angel and took the best care of us. Thank you! It makes a difference to have people who truly care.

Yelp
A really lovely space to hang out or study/work while enjoying coffee. It's spacious and there's plenty of seating. I haven't tried any of the food but coffee is high quality. Some staff came off as impatient but maybe we were overlooking into it
google avatar

Yelp
Quick, delicious, healthy, fast food! Came in for a matcha and a breakfast burrito - the flavors were incredible! Absolutely worth a stop in for a quick breakfast, lunch or brunch
google avatar

Yelp
The food was not memorable at all. It was very dirty inside and the staff were dismissive. Would not recommend.

Yelp
The food, service and vibe is top notch. I'm a huge breakfast/brunch food fan. Pretty much could eat it all day, 24/7 and this place delivers! From the moment I stepped into this location to the moment I left, I was impressed with my entire experience. Bluestone is a fast casual brunch spot on a seriously, delicious and healthy tip. Also, the coffee and specialty cold brews are soooo good. I can on a Sunday thinking is was going to just get a iced cold brew, but couldn't help but to stay and try a menu item as I was intrigue by the food I saw coming out to folks tables. It was semi-crowded, there is lots of seating (indoor and outdoor). There was no trouble getting a Sunday afternoon table with quick service and unique ordering style. Shout out to Nora for being so cool and patient with me as a newbie, on such a busy day. Simply put, you take your seat, scan the QR for the menu and submit your order; hot food arrives in no time. My large cold brew and B.L.A.T.E were both on point, came quick and everything was so fresh. The B.L.A.T.E. -- A winner! Not sure if it is Aussie...but is was 'Hellalicious' that's for sure!! Crispy bacon, avocado, arugula, tomato, a fried egg & garlic aioli on a brioche roll served with crispy potato wedges....what more does one need to have a satisfying breakfast. I left with no complaints and now have a new breakfast spot. I highly recommend. Bluestone is definitely worth a stop or try. The prices are a little steep but worth it, given the quality and taste factor.

Yelp
My friend and I dined yesterday. We both had the avocado toast. I added a poached egg on mine. I also got the blueberry smoothie. Both items were fantastic, filling, delicious, and unique. Definitely recommended, even though there were barely any customers around 5:30 PM on a Tuesday. I used the amazing InKind app to pay--an easy-to-use app that gives you rewards and cash back bonuses at thousands of restaurants and is a quick way to pay. I could go on and on about the app!
google avatar

Yelp
Fresh food and decent coffee at inflated prices, but hey, it's THE BIG CITY. You just kind of expect to pay $50 for breakfast and coffee for two adult and two small kiddos in this situation. I was thankful that they open very early in the morning and that they also are offered on Door Dash. The next two mornings we simply didn't go inside but had it delivered instead. Hubs said the pastries were good (I can't eat gluten). I got the breakfast sandwich with gluten free bread (which actually didn't taste like saw dust like most fake breads do). The restaurant itself was very clean, bright and staff were nice.

Radhika G.

Yelp
came here in between running errands and had a great meal. also got the lavender matcha and it was sooo good. space inside can be a little tight depending on where you sit but it's relatively easy to find a spot. i wouldn't recommend more than 4 person group. the staff was friendly and managed the rush well!

Adele S.

Yelp
It says on their menu that you can get an 8oz soup and add a half grilled cheese but when I tried to order that, they would not let me. They tried to charge me for double what I ordered without even saying that they were trying to give me a 12oz soup and a whole sandwich. The woman at the register was not helpful at all and honestly rude when I expressed my confusion.
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I stopped here for coffee on a cold morning. After one glance at their diverse and delicious menu, we decided to stick around and eat. Fresh, flavorful, peaceful, and delicious. Everything about this place is inviting. The food is incredible and the service is wonderful. Cannot wait to try more items on this menu at this location.

Yelp
my friends and I decided to stop in for brunch and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. This location has a cozy minimal coastal interior and such warm vibe. It took us a while to decide what we wanted because everything looked and sounded amazing on the menu. Ultimately, I decided to order the BL burrito which was as delicious as it looks. The portion size was perfect and filled me up just enough. I want to also highlight the side of fries it comes with are so yummy! Fries can be a hit or miss for me. For my drink I decided to order the Aussie iced latte. I was surprised that it wasn't very sweet, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The service was pretty fast. We ordered off our phones so we didn't interact much with the staff much, besides them bringing us our food. If you're looking for a cozy, airy, and fresh brunch spot. Don't hesitate to stop by this location.
google avatar

Yelp
Bluestone Lane is such a cute Aussie brunch place, I'm glad we stopped by! They offer in-person or no-contact ordering which can be done right at the table through your phone. I ordered the Brekkie Board which consisted of half portions of both our classic Avocado Smash and GF Collective Granola. There was a very good amount of avocado on my toast, and the granola to yogurt ratio was perfect. I also ordered an affogato which was delicious and really capped my brunch off perfectly!

Yelp
Today was my second time getting coffee here. The coffee was tasty and delivered in a timely manner both times, but the customer service experience was like night and day between my 2 visits. The first time I visited it was a late morning and I sought it out because the Starbucks had crazy loud music. I had to get my coffee to go after I was seated bc my plans changed, however, they were super prompt, polite, friendly, helpful/flexible/ accommodating! But my second time here was in the evening between 6 and 7 PM on a Thursday, and the service was sorely lacking. They were nice during interactions but were otherwise distant and/ or seemed very green / unsure of themselves. There were only two front-of-house staff, and there were only 6 people in the joint for the entire hour I was there. I only ordered a coffee so I wasn't expecting to be repeatedly checked up on, but I thought that they would at least be monitoring the dining room/big picture. I spent the entire time trying to kill mosquitoes ... I was one for two... in the meantime I got two bites. I was surprised that the whole time I was smacking the window with a heavy napkin, even spraying some natural bug repellent at them, and cursing (with an inside voice) that never got their attention, much less ever stopping by to check on me. I don't mean just once or twice I mean at least10 times. And all the noise I was making was not quiet, it wasn't obnoxiously loud either, but definitely enough to catch someone's attention had they been out paying attention/ checking in the dining area. As I left, both front staff were standing by the front door and I mentioned to them that i'd been trying to kill mosquitoes that had been bothering me. They just looked at me, one of them may have mumbled "oh." Such an ODD experience, lol! i'm sure if I return next time will be better. I still haven't eaten the food here ... it looks potentially very tasty, but nothing jumps out at me as something unique I can only get here.
google avatar

Mike W.

Yelp
Beautiful space but way overpriced for what you get. The chicken sandwich came on a stale over toasted bun with a piece of chicken not even half the size of the bun, a small slice of tomato, two tiny slices of bacon and a pile of arugula.....not a fan of arugula.....sorry. I asked for a side of fruit instead of the wedges. The fruit was the best part. Good God, why does this horrible little sandwich cost over $18? I get better chicken sandwiches at Wendy's and Popeyes. I've been here twice......first and last.
google avatar

Tyler M.

Yelp
Both times I've come here I've had an extra $2-3 on my credit card statement, but I have no clue why.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday morning around 1130. We waited about 20 minutes for an outside table which was fine because I was able to show a bit of the neighborhood to some out of town guests. This was actually my first time to a Bluestone Lane and I had a great time. Ordering can be done via the QR code or with the server. To drink I got a draught nitro cold brew which was flavorful and robust. To eat I ordered a BL burrito. The burrito has scrambled eggs, bacon, Avo, feta cheese, with a guajillo sauce. You also receive a side of potato wedges. The burrito was tasty. The potato wedges were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The asthmatic is cute and the covered patio is very nice to have on very sunny days. This is a nice place to catch up with friends or knock out some work quickly.

Yelp
Right off the bat, the customer service/care sucks. Sullen and borderline disrespectful. So far that was the guy at the behind the register 12:13 am 1/15/23 bearded jerk. The other servers were nice. Especially Douglas. Kudos to him. Food was average but came out cold. Egg dish but came out cold; they readily replaced and apologized. Ambience and furnishing/settings nice and breakfasty! Probably won't return. Cash register guy was that off-putting. How long does it take to figure out that the customer is the one who walks your wages in through the door?
google avatar

MichelAngelo D.

Yelp
I enjoy the coffee and food options. Superb service and very relaxing ambiance with a well designed layout. Several different places to dine, outside, porch and indoor dinning. Order directly at your table with a QR code assigned to your table.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Maybe it was just a bad day, but when we got to the counter, barista did not greet us or even acknowledge us. We also waited a bit before we could grab his attention to make our orders. Coffee was just ok for me. X had their Chai Latte, which, much to his disappointment, had almost no chai flavors - very little spices and kind of just tasted like milk with a hint of cinnamon. It's truly hard to find good chai. With La Columbe just a few blocks away, I can't see myself coming to Bluestone Lane for my coffee fixes whenever I'm visiting the in laws.

Yelp
Highlights: Absolutely an instagram-worthy brunch. Great food options with a lot of healthy options! The brekkie board (avo toast + granola and yogurt cup) was perfect for me as someone who can NEVER decide between sweet or savory breakfast--it was the best of both worlds and less than 500 calories! Note: Bluestone Lane has several locations around DC, but they don't all have the same menu! Be sure to check them out online if you're a menu-stalker like me before choosing which location to go to! Areas for improvement: I know it's the city but dang, this place has high prices! $16 for an avocado toast and yogurt/granola cup? Almost $8 for an iced latte with oatmilk? $6 for a side of eggs? Sheeeesh. The service (while friendly!) was not super attentive or fast. You basically self-seat and order from your phone using a QR code. No one noticed us to greet us or bring us water until after we had already ordered on our phones. Our food came out before our coffees. Overall, I would definitely return for brunch in the city because I really appreciated the yummy healthy options and cute aesthetic. But I probably wouldn't be a regular here because I don't think my wallet would appreciate it.

Jim S.

Yelp
They make an authentic Long Black, a delicious - and better - Australian version of an Americano. Set in a casual beachy vibe to make you want to hop that extra long flight to Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
google avatar

Addison C.

Yelp
The food was pretty delicious but they were out of my first and second options. I got the avo smash on gluten free bread and it was great, just a little small! The chai was super yummy and so was their matcha. The service was pretty average. It was super clean and overall a good environment.

Keith F.

Yelp
We had an extremely rude server. She left us waiting about 20 minutes for our coffee and we stopped her to ask her where they were , her response was an attitudey"yes?!". They make you order and tip at the table via a QR code, before you even have service so I couldn't even reflect the bad service in the tip. My food was also cold and didn't come with the bacon that should have been on the sandwich- I didn't even end up telling the server about no bacon because she had been so rude to us. I am giving 2 stars since the iced coffee was actually okay, if it wasn't for that id give a 1.
google avatar

Susie W.

Yelp
Love this cute brunch spot right down 14th & R! There's plenty of dining space inside, a little enclosed outdoor dining area, and some street tables depending on your formality-you can also order online and grab take away! I've tried a few items on the menu and have never been disappointed. My favorites are the avocado smash, the best mates bowl, the BL burrito, and the athletes burrito! You can't go wrong with any of their coffees and they have a variety of milk options.
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
Exactly the type of healthy breakfast I was looking for. Sometimes its difficult finding breakfast that is healthy. Ordered breakfast salad, yogurt parfait, and a smoothie. All were delicious and fresh. Sat outside on a nice day. You order online and they bring your order to you...I like this process as it allows you to just leave when your done with your food.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband, a friend, and I have gone to Bluestone Lane on Saturday mornings almost weekly for well over a year. The coffee is great, the food is fine (I usually order the breakfast bowl with bacon or the avocado smash). For most of this time the ambiance has been terrific. However, in the past month the restaurant has turned its music up to a level that suggests a club or bar instead of a relaxing place to enjoy breakfast. When we first experienced this, we asked the manager to turn down the volume. He refused, insisting that the corporate office dictates the music and its volume for their stores. Since then, we will only eat outside or order to go. Having gone to a different Bluestone Lane recently that did not have the same overly loud music, I wonder about this branch's unwillingness to keep its music at a comfortable level. I don't go to breakfast to shout over music. If Bluestone Lane can't figure this out (it's not rocket science), unless the weather is such that we can eat outside, we won't go back.
google avatar

Semaj B.

Yelp
I had went to bluestone manhattan west last week and bluestone philly-l/ rittenhouse square both fine. However my barista today Ann/Anne? pulled me a great decaf shot, whereas then other two places did not. One pulled it way short and it was bitter and acrid and the other was dull which lead me to believe the beans were old, however bluestone dc on R st did it just right! The avo smash toast was fresh and vibrant, the ricotta rich! The wedges were crispy and the matcha very earthy! will definitely come back to this location!
google avatar

Angelica M.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try this place. There's one just too far from my office so I wasn't pleasantly surprised when our Airbnb had one in the building. Friendly staff wearing the pronouns on their name tags! Ordered an oat milk and almond milk iced lattes and sat on the patio to enjoy some people watching and the 75 degree spring weather with a slight breeze. Next time we'll try the protein packed smoothies.
google avatar

Maria D.

Yelp
Atmosphere at this place is great. The coffee and food is even better. Great service. Every single staff member was courteous and ready to provide anything needed for your dining experience. Recommend trying BlueStone Lane for coffee and breakfast.

Beau S.

Yelp
I loved this place! I went here with my family several times and the food was awesome. I had the avocado toast and the BLATE sandwich. The cafe is trendy and has a great atmosphere. Service was quick and I highly recommend.
google avatar

Joseph L.

Yelp
Friendly service. They offer both digital and in person ordering while dining. Prices are inviting for the area and it's a good vibe for an 'Aussie experience' with a free coffee for first visitors! Bathrooms are clean, and they clean the tables and chairs promptly. The server offers both menu / ordering styles so it doesn't become awkward to ask for a paper menu or do I have to use my phone statements. The croissant was buttery and flaky not overly dry. The simple chocolate semi-sweet touch was a great added flavor. The coffee was amazing, someone said the coffee was burnt, maybe they have an off pallet. The espresso martini is straight fire it's not overwhelming on either the alcohol or espresso level. A great balance and the beans they used tasted like a dark roast which left a great balance with the vanilla syrup and vodka. Great blend. Outdoor, inside and sunroom / closed in patio seating. The music isn't overwhelming, conversations can be kept without yelling at one another. Very trendy, I think I was the only one not on a laptop here yet, I don't feel out of place. It's friendly and an inviting atmosphere.

Yelp
A chill spot for coffee with excellent staff! We were serviced by Nora and Khalil, both extremely patient and knowledgeable. Customer service at its friendliest! And quality coffee served! My party got Affagatos (a rare treat; real coffee lovers know what I am talking about) and wellness drinks of Matcha Latte and Golden Latte.... Pro tip get the matcha drink with lemonade. Bomb.com!
google avatar

Yelp
Plentiful seating in this aesthetic cafe. Seems like it would be a good spot to come in and read or work on the weekends or even for a brunch. Stopped in late afternoon on a Sunday with less than an hour before closing, so staff were a bit occupied beginning to close. I had the Mocha Protein Smoothie (pictured) which was delicious!! Others in my group had a cappuccino and a berry smoothie, which they both enjoyed. Hopefully can come back and try more of the food items on the menu

Alan G.

Yelp
Excellent morning meal, clearly appreciated by locals. Our waiter had a hard time speaking loud enough over the lite morning traffic but was very attentive. Photos of dishes are representative.
google avatar

Jackie V.

Yelp
This is my favorite Bluestone Lane and it by far has the best service. To start yes it's pricey but it's DC. I love that you can linger and the cafe has a bunch of seating options (indoor, outdoor, one seat, up to 6+). All the drinks are always on point - I love the iced latte. The app is always giving away free things too! You have to get there early to get a pastry (before 12) or they sell out. I love the almond croissant. There is 2 hour parking nearby and a bike rack. Mobility friendly. LGBTQ friendly.
google avatar

Chanel G.

Yelp
While this isn't a picture of the dreamy draft oat latte, the chai latte is #bussin too Took a chance on Bluestone Lane, not knowing how cute and trendy this cafe was, and right here in the neighborhood! This #Australian cafe that features premium coffee & tasty #brekkie options couldn't get me any closer to one of my (Chanel) favorite continents. Can't wait to go back and try the food and have this Draught Flat White w/ @califiafarms #oatmilk latte again! @oatlattesnob remind us often how good a nice oat latte can be!
google avatar

Tyler C.

Yelp
Is this Australian? They said mate, but they didn't have pantomite, vegemite, or pad Thai which are what Australians tend to eat. They didn't even say Brekkie! They did have great toast! Terrific bowls and smooth and strong coffee. A flat white was the Aussie version of cappuccino and appreciated. Most of the customers were app based coffee drinkers who poked their heads in to pick up pre-ordered drinks. Add a matcha latte or a beet latte and you have a trendy faux Australian place that even a New Zealander could complement.
google avatar

Priscilla S.

Yelp
Discovered my neighborhood Bluestone and I was absolutely WOWED! Service was great, thanks to Douglas our fabulous barista/server. He made our experience here very enjoyable! Thanks to his delicious recommendation, we'll definitely be coming back. Tried this Golden Latte for the first and it was so good! Very different and healthy, but quickly has become my new favorite! If you're dropping into DC or you're a local, this is a must try for breakfast, brunch or lunch ! They also are the first to have a very new payment ordering system, everything is based off your phone so make sure your devices are charged before arriving !
google avatar

Eun P.

Yelp
Delicious food and drinks that are aesthetically pleasing as well!! I got the BLATE which has bacon, avocado, perfectly cooked egg, arugula, and tomato on a delicious bun. All the ingredients perfectly went well together and the potato wedges were the perfect complements to the sandwich. Their coffee is great as well!

Avni P.

Yelp
I had a bad and confusing experience here this evening (Sunday) night. Is it now considered bad behavior to be inside 10 minutes prior to closing? One member of the staff was incredibly rude to me, taking items that I was still drinking off the table prior to closing time. She said nothing but "we are closed as she removed them. Several mistakes occurred during my time there this evening-- my order was not prepared as listed on the menu (assumed they might be out of things etc.) and they forgot to prepare my drink, but neither of those things bothered me until I encountered blatant rudeness and inflexibility about allowing me to finish items I have already paid for and tipped on. I am truly curious about the expectations here, and training that occur for the staff.

Yelp
Going with a 3 after my first visit The new bluestone is nice inside - quiet, bright, clean. It's more setup for a sit down type of thing, which I wasn't expecting - as I entered I was approached by a host who took my "to-go" order using a tablet. Not somewhere to sit and hang out/get work done. Now for the 3 stars - I didn't get much espresso flavor out of my iced latte. Overall, the drink was probably middle of the road compared to others around. Not bad, but not my first choice. The drip coffee was fine. And I wouldn't get the chocolate croissant again - just fine here too. $4, barely any chocolate, too flaky and not buttery enough. I'm interested in trying some of the food options, so I may return sometime.

Yelp
Came here on a whim to meet up with a friend on a Sunday morning for breakfast. While it was crowded, we still managed to be able to get seated rather quickly. They had a qr-code menu and ordering system, so you were able to order/pay directly through your phone and your food is brought out to you. The restaurant is very quaint inside, service was fast, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food... sooo good. Lots of veggie/vegan options! I had the athletes burrito and my friend had the best mates bowl. Both of us loved our dishes! Their coffee is also amazing-def high quality. I had a flat white with oat milk and my friend had the magic. Fresh & strong!! Would come here again for breakfast or even just to grab coffee on the go.

Yelp
I came here during brunch and also because of the expected top quality, which they delivered. There in inside and outside seating, high and low tables and different styles of tables. I love the design and the thought they put to make it accessible to everyone with a different taste about seating. The place is also quiet which makes it ideal for writing, working or meditating! The servers know their menu and can explain it very well. I know this should be an expectation, but sometimes you don't get that. I ordered the pancakes and golden latte. The pancakes were delicious. I was concerned about the ricotta creme but it wasn't cheese at all. It blended extremely well with the lemon "jelly" on top. The pancakes are fluffy and full of flavor. For some reason, I don't eat edible flowers but this time I did. That's how great it was. As of the latte, I ordered it because of my diet and turmeric. It was of great taste. I cant wait to be back when I go to DC again.

Yelp
A really charming coffee shop about 5 minutes walk from the metro. Not overly crowded and WiFi was fast so it was a great place to sit and get some work done. Got an iced chai. Really sweet compared to other chais, but was still good. Service was fast.
