Texas HomeState Restaurant Brings Breakfast Tacos to Orange County | Eater LA

"The Texas-style spot—known for breakfast tacos, queso, brisket sandwiches, and margaritas—is opening its fourth location in Orange County. The standalone building at 114 N. Olive Street dates to 1905 and formerly operated as a grain-and-feed store; the new outpost is slated to open in late summer 2020, serving flour-tortilla tacos under a corrugated roof with seating on an attached patio. This expansion follows earlier locations in Los Feliz (the original), Highland Park, and Playa Vista." - Farley Elliott

I got the Truffle mushroom grilled cheese sandwich and an ice oat latte and shared blueberry pancakes with my husband. The sandwich was so flavorful and grilled to perfection, the latte was delicious and the pancakes were fluffy and not overly sweet. I want to give a shout out to our server, Maddie, who was so, SO sweet ever since she stepped outside in the patio where we were sitting! She truly made our day special! Btw, her latte art is so cute!! We appreciate you!

We had such an amazing experience here! The service was exceptional — we never had to ask for anything because they already had everything under control. You can tell the staff truly enjoys their work; they’re young, attentive, and make you feel genuinely cared for. The food was absolutely delicious, and the whole atmosphere made us feel so welcome. Highly recommended!

Google
I'd give this place double starts of I could, just for the service alone. The did was great. We ordered the Truffle Mushroom Grilled Cheese and the Prosciutto, the Burrata Sandwich, the Blueberry Pancakes, the Pumpkin Coldbrew, and an iced latte. Everything was great. The food was fresh, delicious, and came out rather quickly. The drinks were made great. The Pumpkin coldbrew was a little heavy on the cold foam, which honestly I did not notice. It was our server, Maddie, who commented such, and offered to bring a side of coldbrew to help balance it. Very thoughtful and I truly appreciate her for that. And speaking of Maddie, I have to say that her service was nothing but amazing. From the very beginning, she was so friendly and welcoming. She was the cherry on top of our experience. And, her latte art, superb 👌

Google
Popped into Bluestone at Old Towne for brunch and had the best time! Kento and Jordan went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We felt taken care of from start to finish. The food was a 10/10, but the service? Definitely a 12/10. And don’t even get me started on the ambiance. Absolutely beautiful. Such a perfect spot for a brunch date with my husband. Can’t wait to come back 🤍✨

Google
I find this location to be quite satisfactory. The cuisine is notably good. Overall, the experience is pleasant and meets expectations without being overly extravagant.

Google
The beverages are very good. The restaurant is overall very clean and nice. The service is outstanding. But the pancakes don’t taste as excellent as other food, still the food looks great for photos. Overall it is a really good restaurant, come if you have a chance!

Went here with a friend on Thursday morning around 10 am. The shop was pretty empty when we got there, two other parties were there. We ordered our food and it took 45 minutes to come out. I got the breakfast bowl with no feta. When it was brought out the egg was cold and there was feta on the underside of my avocado! I'm guessing they made it wrong the first time, remade my plate, and just transferred the egg and avocado from one plate to another? Maybe that's why it took so long too. I didn't end up enjoying my plate so much. The atmosphere was nice and coffee was delicious. I can see coming back for the coffee!

Google
Breakfast here is unreal. The avocado toast is some of the best I have ever had. Also the service is awesome. Julie was helping us out and was on top of everything. Gave us options and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Two girls working this morning were great and everything was ready so quickly. Awesome service & food.

Christine L.

Yelp
The food was standard across the board and consistent with their other locations, however their matcha and barista service were exceptional! Thank you to the sweet girl that made my matcha so good! Overall it was a nice place to eat lunch and get some work done for a while. They have wall plugs for charging laptops.

Yelp
Came to Orange Circle to enjoy the vibe and grab a quick bite, just happened to find this gem. Food was A M A Z I N G!!!! So mad I didn't take more pics! We had the Truffle Mushroom Grilled Cheese, Turkey Bacon Sandwich w/tomato soup, Banana Bread and an Ice vanilla latte. Oh and I got a side of pancakes cause I love me some plain pancakes. Can't wait to come back to try other items. Lastly, service was also top notch. This sweet girl named Abby was so friendly and made sure we were completely satisfied and we definitely were. To finish off the experience one of the staff came to check on us, Edgar I think, he seemed to know the menu so well, I got the feeling he had something to do with it. I love going to restaurants like this, they make you feel like you matter and the food makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Like literally.

Yelp
My experience at Bluestone lane was just okay. The interior is decorated very cute and whimsical. The atmosphere is calm and located in the beautiful old town Orange. The food was alright, I enjoyed my avocado toast but it was nothing special. My boyfriend ordered a sandwich that was kind of dry. They forgot to bring the sauce for him, which was supposed to be a creamy relish I think? But the sauce they brought out looked like curdled sour cream with chili. Smelled and tasted very off... They also forgot to add the cheese on my avocado toast (it's pictured since we asked for it afterwards), took 20 mins to take our order even though it was empty, and overall the service seemed rude. The coffee also was just okay, nothing memorable. Wish the service and food was better since it is a very pretty location.

Yelp
Bluestone Lane is so charming. I love the cafe ambiance here. It's in Old Towne Orange just off the circle. There isn't a ton of parking, so best to park in a lot and walk over. The BLATE (bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato and egg was HEAVENLY. The brioche bun was soft and the perfect complement for the breakfast sandwich. The potato wedges were decent although I could have done without them. I also had their version of an Americano and I have to say, the best espresso flavor I have had in a long time. Good flavor without being too bitter. The service was good, although I think one server had the entire restaurant and that seemed like too much for one person. She was incredibly nice and helpful. The music was a little loud and didn't quite fit the ambiance, but that may just be a me thing. Overall, will return!

Yelp
Was walking into Blk Dot Coffee, when I noticed this cute place next door. Decided to grab a vanilla latte to go from here instead. Bluestone Lane is really busy on a Saturday morning. A mix of college students and young families. The ambiance is upscale casual. The service is a little slow, but friendly. My vanilla latte was good. A solid 4/5. I definitely want to come back here to have brunch!

Yelp
We planned on having brunch here yesterday after visiting Thompson Building Materials' design center in Orange as I had bookmarked this place for a while now. Finding parking in Old Town Orange on the weekends can be gnarly so I stood in line while my hubs looked for street parking. They don't take reservations and the wait took about 20 mins. Nice decor, light and bright inside. The service was friendly. We ordered coffee and hot chocolate but they were not hot. My hubs ordered the BL Burrito while I opted for the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. Unfortunately, both items were underwhelming for the price. For the pancakes, I expected the lemon ricotta in the batter, but since the lemon curd was poured on top, only the top cake had a hint of lemon and ricotta. The BL Burrito was just ok. For those who use inKind to pay their tab, you must place your order from the app. You cannot just pay at the end of your meal and enter the receipt # as all other restaurants do.

Yelp
Everything we experienced at brunch this morning was so great, I don't even know where to begin. Starting with the food and coffee: the lattes we all got were delicious (I recommend honey syrup with oat milk- to die for!). The food was phenomenal! The three of us split the blueberry pancakes, avocado toast, soft chili scramble with avocado, and a side of bacon. The avocado toast had perfectly ripe avocado on high quality bread. The soft chili scramble was my favorite! The staff were all so kind and attentive. Kento helped us throughout our visit, even offering to go cups for our coffees at the end and more ice for the road to keep them cold in the heat. His attentiveness and positivity were great!

Yelp
We love the vibe of this café -- clean, crisp, and airy, with shards of mint green and white colors, and cute wicker basket accents. We got there around 11 a.m. on a Sunday and only waited a few minutes for a table. By 11:30 or so, there was already a long line forming, so definitely go early if you can! There were plenty of servers, and everyone was super friendly and attentive, but our coffee and food still took over 15 minutes to come out. The lemon ricotta pancake was fluffy and delicious, and the breakfast plates and sandwiches were just right. The coffee was great too -- we even grabbed a bag of beans to take home! If we're nearby again, this is a spot we'd return to.

Yelp
Mediocre food with terrible service. First of all, the service is very confusing and slow. They walk you to your table and give you menus but don't inform you that you need to scan the barcode on the table to order. We didn't know and waited for a good 30 minutes for someone to come take our order. We finally noticed the barcode and placed our order, then our waiter came over and said she can take our order. Then there was confusion as to which table ordered what. Waiters kept coming to our table with plates of food to ask if we ordered them. The food was very average. We got the lemon ricotta pancakes, chicken Mediterranean salad, and the BL burrito. The salad was really tiny and barely had any veggies. It was also drenched in olive oil and felt greasy. The burrito was also tiny and lacked flavor. The only thing I liked about this place was that it has a dog friendly patio

Yelp
I discovered Bluestone Lane, an Austrailian cafe, in Philadelphia and I loved it so much I literally made it my go-to meeting spot while I was travelling for work. I was so excited to find out that I had a local version in Old Towne Orange, however the experience was not as exciting here. On my first visit they were out of ice cream, which makes it impossible to make the Aussie Latte I like. That day they loss my business to Blk Dot Coffee next door. I decided not to write a review that day to give them another chance, because I REALLY enjoyed my visit in Philly. On my latest visit I came back and there seemed to be chaos again. Staff warned me they were 2 people short, and there could be a 30 minute delay. I'm like even for coffee?? They're like ohh coffee is okay. So I got my Aussie Latte ($6.50/20 oz). Mhmmm not the same. The coffee flavor was not as strong as I remembered and I wonder if it's because they're understaffed and rushed my coffee... but this is already a second chance. I'm not really interested in coming back. Hopefully the location in LA will be better.

Yelp
Food & service were awesome! Prices aren't too bad. Great family place. We enjoyed dining outside.

Yelp
Busy on Friday afternoon-before the street fair kicked off. Ordered through the app and tried their iced coffee with coconut water, it was refreshing for a 95 degree weather out. Also tried their iced mocha, this one was better.
google avatar

Asha S.

Yelp
Bluestone Lane is a super cute addition to downtown Orange. The iced coffee drinks looked amazing, but we didn't end up trying any of them so I'll need to try a drink next time. My friend ordered the Green Goddess Bowl (which she liked) and I ordered a Chicken Breast Sandwich on grilled sourdough (this was just okay and didn't have much flavor). Despite not loving my meal, I did really like the ambience so I might give it another try and try something different.
google avatar

Yelp
We are a fan of Australian coffee and we wanted to try this location. The nitro coffee was rich and not bitter ordered light sweet though I would have liked a little sweet. The plain latte was excellent not adding flavor syrups keeps the flavor bold. Small parking lot right in the mix of a happening area. Loved the vibe.

Yelp
I visited Bluestone Lane in Orange on a Tuesday morning. Parking right in front of the cafe is limited, but there are multiple lots nearby where you can park & walk over. The cafe has lots of seating & a really nice interior design that makes it feel bright & welcoming. There were only a handful of other customers during our visit so we didn't have to wait too long for our orders to come out. I ordered the breakfast bowl, which was good, but next time I'd want to try their brekkie bowl (avocado toast & yogurt bowl). Bluestone Lane is an Australian-inspired establishment, which I think is a fun touch since there aren't too many spots like that nearby, at least that I know of. I've visited this location several times in the past & I'd definitely come again.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely amazing spot! Abby and Edgar were the best -- super welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked in. Edgar gave us the best recommendations the truffle grilled cheese, turkey bacon and tomato soup was out of this world, and he also suggested the banana bread and coffee, which were both delicious. You can really tell they care about the customers and love what they do. The vibe is so chill and cute , perfect for breakfast or brunch. Definitely one of my new favorite cafés in Orange can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Alexandria K.

Yelp
Food was great, this review would be higher if the service was better. Half our party received their food, the other half waited for 25 minutes to receive theirs. Same thing happened with coffee. We felt the staff was inattentive to our table and we had to call servers over for anything we needed. That being said, food was amazing and coffee was great!! I do consider myself a coffee addict and this was a GOOD cup of coffee. The aesthetic is also beautiful!!
google avatar

Tatiana M.

Yelp
Amazing stop before going out to shop in Old Towne came here with my best friend for a pit stop before thrifting what a great idea. Inside is so cute and plenty of seating don't worry about seating worry about finding parking Everything on the menu looks great and you might have a hard time choosing One thing that confused me was how thick the prosciutto was on my prosciutto and burrata sandwich but it didn't upset me in the slightest. The chais were amazing had to come back and ask them where they get their chai from. Great prices, great food, great service!
google avatar

Alexander M.

Yelp
This is place is honestly fire! There was a tenacious young lady that greeted me at the door and from that moment on I was in good hands. Food was elegant and photo worthy - immediate post to the gram. Also my coffee - although simple an Americano (Long Black ) at Bluestone was the best I've had in weeks. Place is obviously well managed and genuinely cares about the guest experience. I'll be back!
google avatar

Lenon S.

Yelp
Great Service! Super nice and clean! Love the mocha iced latte! Aesthetically pleasing!

Caroline M.

Yelp
This matcha was so incredibly disappointing, especially for how long I waited for it to come out. And not freshly made matcha! It was squirt out of a condiment bottle onto a cup FULL of milk. So not only was it not fresh, it was nearly all milk! Picture is after I stirred it. I actually had to throw this out and go to a different cafe. I went to Play after which is down the street and they actually make the matcha in front of you, I recommend you skip Bluestone and go straight to Play if you want matcha. I will not be coming back or recommending this place.

Yelp
Came to Bluestone Lane in the Orange Circle for brunch with friends and had such a great experience! It wasn't too crowded when we arrived, so we got seated right away. Our server was super friendly and welcoming -- she really made the meal even better. We ordered a variety of dishes -- the berry-topped pancakes in the skillet were fresh and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness, the avocado toast with eggs had great flavor and a nice kick from the seasoning, and the grilled cheese sandwich (served with chips) was perfectly toasted and melty inside. Everything came out quickly and was beautifully presented. The cozy, relaxed vibe plus great service made this a spot I'd definitely come back to for a casual brunch in the area.
google avatar

Jenny B.

Yelp
Super cute inside. Staff were really friendly. Service was fast, and food was yummie!! Def recommend for a cute brunch spot. Breakfast and lunch available any time of day all day!
google avatar

Crystal H.

Yelp
The vibe is very nice, and workers a so friendly! I enjoyed the food very much and the drinks. I got the strawberry matcha cloud with oat milk, tasted great not overly sweet! I ate the warm chicken and ancient grains bowl and some of the lemon ricotta pancake along with wedges. I really loved the bowl, I want to order it again, but I also want to try all their other menu items. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and looked very pleasant. I think for me I realized I don't particularly like ricotta, but for those who do, I think it would be enjoyable. I want to try the blueberry pancakes next time. My husband had the mocha drink and Aj verde pulled chicken sandwhich. He liked both! I definitely want to come here again with some friends next time. I love the decor and the feels inside. It makes me feel calm and peaceful.
google avatar

Yelp
As always, this place is booming with people for brunch and so much table space. The ambiance always feels comfortable and inviting. There were 3 of us for brunch and we all ordered something different. I had ordered the Blackened Chicken Mediterranean Salad. Every bite better than the last. It was light and filling at the same time with all the flavors dancing together on every taste bud. It was that good. I always had ordered the BLATE but I needed to try something else. I also had the very brekkie smoothie which was perfect because it didn't taste so sugary and it felt healthy, especially since oat milk is in this beverage. My friends had ordered the BL burrito with the guajillo sauce on the side, just in case she thought it was spicy. It wasn't. It was a mild salsa. She had an iced chai latte with her brunch item. And the other ordered the green goddess bowl which she had cleaned and had ordered the Magic (cortado) espresso drink. We really enjoyed our time here. Parking is a bit tricky but patience is key.

Yelp
I stopped by Bluestone Lane and had such a great experience. The café itself had a clean, cozy atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy my coffee. Abby and Maddie were fantastic! Super friendly, attentive, and quick to make me feel welcome. Def should stop by this place! They also have mushroom coffee!
google avatar

Desiree L.

Yelp
Bluestone Lane invites the Aussie brunch to the American palette in an aesthetic and promising manner. The menu comprises of a strong variety of brunch dishes such as breakfast burritos, pancakes, and classic egg breakfasts. The athlete's burrito and soft chili scramble were light yet flavorful. The lemon ricotta pancakes held a great texture and were topped with fresh berries. Each brunch item was tasty, and Bluestone is a great place to immerse in a beautiful indoor or outdoor ambiance. The value for food is not the best. Service was rather slow, and we waited around 35-45 mins for food.
google avatar

Meera S.

Yelp
Bluestone Lane is the super cute, aesthetic, and welcoming cafe we have and didn't know we needed. Came by on Friday afternoon to meet a friend for chats and coffee and the upon entry, the entire space felt calm, cute, and communal. There's a variety of indoor seating ie. big tables, bar stools, communal picnic tables, intimate tables and outdoor seating as well. We sat at a small table inside where super friendly servers consistently came by to deliver menus, take orders, and ensure we had everything we needed. I had the peanut butter & blueberry smoothie and it was satisfying and just what I needed. The protein powder surprisingly didn't add an artificial taste which was cool. My friend had a side of pancakes and a hot tea. The side of pancakes came with 2 small pancakes, butter, and warm syrup. I found Bluestone Lane to be the perfect weekday afternoon or weekend meetup spot. I'll be recommending it as a meetup spot in the future, no doubt.

Yelp
If you like tiny portion, bland food and long wait...this place is for you. Ordered BL burrito and lemon ricotta pancakes...took over 30 mins and it was very bad. The small burrito was $17.25!!! See picture for scale. Our waitress was nice but she should not be working elsewhere.
google avatar

Sofia P.

Yelp
the cutest store ever! sandwiches were filling and came with a side of crisps. service was a little slow but servers were very kind!! came on a thursday for lunch and it wasn't busy at all!

Yelp
Hair in bacon Stale bread Stale chips Shady bill presentation :( We started eating here a couple of years ago, and the experience was previously great, but it pains me to say that today's experience was not. I wouldn't have written a negative review just for the human hair in the bacon, the stale gluten-free bread, or the stale chips. However, hiding the bill by presenting only the payment screen with no way to review it, so we wouldn't notice we were charged for the "exchanged" potato wedges that replaced the stale chips, provoked me to say we're done. I don't know what's going on with management, but the passion is gone, and at this rate, so will be the customers. I hope they can course-correct, but judging by how uncrowded it was today, it's probably too late :(
google avatar

Yelp
Our server Peyton was such a joy and so helpful. I'd come back and request her as our server!! The food is delicious and such a cute atmosphere. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Rylee K.

Yelp
Service was excellent! Peyton was our waitress & she was the sweetest, checked up on us and started a friendly conversation about college life. She recommended the new chili egg scramble, it did not disappoint! My friend ordered the bacon club. Everything from Bluestone is great, this is a local fave of mine about a 5 min walk from Chapman U & right in the Orange circle. The manager Kenton is also great, full of life & always making sure the customers are enjoying not only their food but the atmosphere as well. 10/10!! Rylee
google avatar

Yelp
The place is adorable and has great seating, ordering was a little confusing between the app and menu. Service was good, very nice server, but they seemed short staffed. The food was delicious! I had the Avocado smash and a cold brew. Presentation of the food was excellent!
google avatar

Mayu T.

Yelp
My favorite thing about Bluestone Lane is their refreshing atmosphere and modern, blue-themed aesthetic like a fresh summer breeze. The service is also always kind and was very accommodating about clarifying with the kitchen whether the breakfast bowl can be made non-dairy, which they do by making sure nothing is cooked in butter and removing the cheese. I found the food itself to be fairly standard, tasty albeit a bit soggy with too much dressing for my taste. (3/5) But overall, I enjoy this place to catch up with friends.
google avatar

Jaeden Y.

Yelp
Stopped by for brunch with a friend and we loved the decor of the restaurant but the food was alright. One of our servers was super friendly and nice but the other one seemed like she didn't want to be there. There was just an obvious contrast in the attitudes of our waitresses which was a little odd to experience. You can order at the front for takeout or sit down and be served. Restaurant as a whole is very open and clean. They've got a lot of interesting food options for both breakfast and lunch. There were a lot of options that sounded good, but then there was one ingredient in the dish that just threw it off, like it didn't sound like that ingredient belonged in a typical version of that dish. I do understand that this is an Australian establishment so maybe that's why the dishes sound so interesting. What I ordered: -B.L.A.T.E.: It was a pretty pricey sandwich for how okay it was. I wasn't a fan of the brioche. The aioli was pretty good though. 3/5 -Potato Wedges: This came with the sandwich and these were so good! The breading was flavorful and had the perfect crunch! 5/5 -Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew: This wasn't very good, you couldn't really taste the pumpkin cream. It just tasted like a watered down coffee. It was pretty strong caffeine-wise though. I think that if they served it with a lid where you could sip the drink, you'd be able to taste the cream more instead of just mixing it in and it getting lost in the coffee. 2/5 Overall, my friend and I weren't a fan of this place. Super bummed because this place is so cute! Unfortunately, it's pricey for pretty mediocre food.

Yelp
Came for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and it was very lively. I was seated right away. The establishment is very clean and friendly. I do want to note that the food does take a little while, but I thought it was very healthy and tasty. Very cute place to come for brunch or lunch. Plenty of room as there is indoor and outdoor seating. I'd come back again!
google avatar

Katalina P.

Yelp
Bluestone has such a bright atmosphere and it's lovely to go on a sunny morning. The interior and sunlight creates a cozy space to enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are incredibly friendly. My table got the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Bacon, Egg & Cheese Croissant. They were a lot of reviews on the pancakes and it's known as one of the popular items on the menu so was excited to try. Unfortunately, there was nothing too special about it. The pancakes were soft but they were just plain pancakes. All the flavor was on the whipped ricotta on top. The croissant was buttery and soft and the chipotle menu added a lot of flavor and brought the sandwich together. I'd come back for a coffee and pastry!

Nidhi M.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday morning and were seated right away. We ordered: - Grilled corn summer salad: this was so good, finished the whole thing! - Aussie iced latte: this has a few scoops of ice cream in it (the Aussie way) - this was good - Banana bread: this was okay, little dense for my liking The service was good, the waiters were attentive. The restaurant is bright with a ton of light and there is outdoor seating. Parking: there's ample street parking all around!

Yelp
Came for breakfast and this place did not disappoint! We got there early enough that we were seated right away. The inside is super cute and I can't tell you the amount of times I have walked past this place and kept telling myself I would come! Finally made it!!! And so glad I did Our server was awesome! I am so mad I didn't catch his name but it was a younger newer employee who hates carrots! lol he was splendid and I wanted to say thank you so much for a great service! (Update: went back and his name is CJ!) Now the food and drinks. Everyone said their meals were delicious! The espresso was perfectly shot and not burned! I had the athletes burrito with salad and enjoyed every single bite of it! Our server also brought out this garlic aioli for us and said to trust him haha he was so right!! I dipped every bite of my burrito in that stuff it was so good. He also recommended the Fitzroy juice over the Torquay and it did not miss! I have zero complaints from this place overall and I am counting the days till we come back. I totally believe the hype with this place!!

Yelp
From the moment we met Julie, her warmth and attentiveness were absolutely radiant. She has an incredible gift for making people feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. Every interaction with her was effortless and uplifting -- she didn't just communicate; she *connected*. Julie's communication was truly outstanding. She was open, thoughtful, and present in every conversation, bringing a beautiful energy that made us feel instantly at ease. It's rare to come across someone so naturally engaging, who listens deeply and responds with such clarity, kindness, and insight. What stood out the most was how genuinely attentive she was. Julie noticed the little things, asked meaningful questions, and created space for a truly amazing dialogue. Whether it was a simple check-in or a deeper conversation, she handled it with grace and authenticity. People like Julie don't come around often. She's the kind of person who lifts the energy of any room she walks into -- kind, vibrant, and effortlessly inspiring. We feel lucky to have connected with her, and anyone who gets the chance to do the same is in for something special. Thank you, Julie, for being *you*. You made a lasting impact, and we're so grateful! and the food was just as delicious!!

Yelp
Parking can be a little tricky, just be patient. Or park in the Free parking lot available at 130 N. Lemon Street in the Old Towne West parking structure. Hostess was friendly and fast! Got my latte out quickly while I waited for my brekkie sandwich. The food was fresh and filling. I got a regular iced latte with whole milk. I couldn't really taste the espresso seemed water down but a latte is always a hit or miss. Ambiance was nice, great lighting. Indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect to do some work, hangout.

Yelp
It was our first time visiting, so we asked for the top sellers and went with the recommended items: the truffle sandwich and the soft chili scrambled eggs with avocado and chicken. Unfortunately, the sourdough on the sandwich was quite dry, and we couldn't really taste the truffle. The chicken was also on the dry side, which took away from the overall dish. We also had a flat white and a cappuccino -- both were just okay, nothing standout. That said, the restaurant had a really nice vibe with a relaxed coastal theme, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated.

Yelp
Having lived in Australia for a bit, I always miss it and was delighted to find that Bluestone Lane is an Aussie restaurant chain in the states. I came by for breakfast here with a friend and it didn't disappoint! Before my friend arrived, I wanted to purchase some of the baked goods from the display but the server suggested I get them after our meal. I was afraid that they would run out but she assured me that there was more available. So I waited, which I shouldn't have. Because after my meal, I went to buy the pastries and a couple of the items I wanted were sold out. Trust me when I say if you want it, just get it first. Anyway, the decor here is open and inviting, lots of light inside and a number of tables outside also. Service is good, although they don't seem to clean off the tables in any order. I saw the table next to me get partially cleaned, and there were a few napkins on the seats and dishes that remained on the table for about another half an hour. It wasn't busy when I was there, so maybe there was no sense of urgency to clean up right away, but it just looks ugly to have a mess at the table next to me for so long. The menu had a good selection of items to choose from and we had difficulty narrowing down what we wanted as everything looked great! Thank goodness they don't offer Vegemite and toast - common brekkie in Oz, but definitely an acquired taste! I enjoyed a flat white (I have to enjoy this Aussie original!), she had a spring trellis iced tea, and we shared the B.L.A.T.E. Breakfast sandwich (Subbed chicken for the bacon), and the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. When our food and drinks arrived, the presentation was on point. Everything was so pretty. The flat white was really good, and the BLATE was amazing! Loved the sauce that was on the sandwich and the combination of the ingredients was so good! The pancakes were meh - 1/5. I initially was sooo soo excited when I saw the pancakes because they look so thick and fluffy. I don't know how to describe the texture, but I wasn't a fan. It was like eating cardboard. It was dry, dense, and had a weird chew. The pancakes were so hard that it was difficult to cut through the 3 pancake layers to divide the pancake serving in half so my friend and I could share. I managed to cut through the top one and barely some of the second layer of pancake. I didn't even want to finish it, and I LOVE pancakes. =( Overall a wonderful place for an awesome vibe, great coffee and good food. I want to come and try more of their menu, but do not recommend the pancakes. (I did warm up the croissants I purchased when I got home and tried them and they were good!!)

Yelp
We went there at 9am on a Sunday for my birthday breakfast! There were plenty of open tables at that time, by the time we left people were waiting outside to be seated so I recommend going there early! Their coffees were great, they have a good variety of drink options there. I loved my latte with jasmine syrup Inside is cute & cozy, loved it there! I'd say the lemon pancakes were a bit dry/crumbles but it was still good. All the other food were delicious, loved the potato wedges! Overall I recommend this place for breakfast/brunch for couples, families, friends, etc. I would come back again :)

Yelp
The café's interior and decor are undeniably stunning, creating a lovely and inviting atmosphere. I got the soft chili scramble with avocado & my friend got the BLATE. However, I found the food to be quite underwhelming, especially given the higher price point. The service was also disappointingly very slow, which added to the overall experience. I tried the hot matcha latte, and while it was decent, it didn't stand out. Overall, while the café is aesthetically pleasing and makes for a charming brunch spot if you're nearby, the food and service fell short of expectations in my opinion. It's worth a visit if you're looking for a cute location to enjoy the ambiance, but I wouldn't recommend it solely for the food.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise for us to find such a cute brunch spot in downtown Orange! We were searching for a place that is dog and vegetarian friendly and I love that this place offers both! We came right at peak brunch hours on a weekend and were seated right away. The restaurant felt spacious and with great air circulation. We also had our golden retriever with us after a hike and they were so accommodating to seat us in the main area of the restaurant, although we didn't mind being seated outside since we had a pet with us. Like many others, the food did take a long time to come out. We had to ask several times for the drinks we ordered before our food, but wasn't a big deal since we had great company with great conversations. The food was good, regular breakfast/brunch menu. The potato wedges were really good though, if you're into salty wedges that is. Definitely would come back and bring more guests with us!

Yelp
This is a cute breakfast spot in old town Orange and the service was quick and friendly. On the flip side, I personally thought the breakfast selection was lacking. I had the bacon egg & cheese croissant, wedges, and the flat white which were good. However, none of them were unique or memorable enough for me to want to go back.
